Disagree. This game is very toxic...I could totally see people being annoyed that their teammate has voice chat turned off.
No downside? How about everything in my post.
- Solo survivor who chooses to play without voice chat now WORSE off because killers are buffed around everyone having communication. How is this not a downside?!
- current SWF simply turning it off because they’d rather use Discord. This is very likely. So in these games where the solo’s teammates are SWF, who exactly is the solo survivor talking to? Not a downside?!
The point is that killers are being buffed. Do you not see how it could put many survivors in a worse spot? Trust me, many players would want nothing to do it. But by buffing killers, you are telling them use this or you are screwed. No thanks.
Killers are already in line for slight buffs in the future...

It's very good on any M1 killer. Good use of it make:
- demo, you can use shred on obsession to preserve the stacks
- wraith, he has an easy time landing a first hit, but afterwards he doesn't have much to help him in chase, so if you catch survivor out positioned you can down him pretty quick
- trapper, with padded jaws you can quickly earn stacks
As for which perks go well with it, i dunno. Maybe sloppy butcher since you will be able to injure multiple survivors in rapid succession if they group up, dying light because you will very likely ignore obsession, definitely not unrelenting. Unrelenting is useful only for beginners, at least i didn't found any other useful purpose.
Unrelenting hard counters Dead Hard.

It's sad when you come on these posts and can clearly see who the majority of the forums are. No surv main will ever admit that they CLEARLY have an advantage over killer because they like how easy it is, and how they get to bully and manipulate the killer into madness. Don't you want a challenge? Playing survivor now is like shooting fish in a barrel. Are you guys proud of that? Do you really think your that good? I wish just once you would peak your heads over are 20ft fence and see things from the other side. We peak over your 6ft fence all the time.
Git gud bro, watch some streams, learn how to play. The devs don't tell you these things for no reason, they tell you because you are unfamiliar with the game and need to see it from an unbiased perspective. Maybe even try red rank survivor from time to time?

Really? I suggest you read more posts on here then, because all I ever see is survs wanting killers nerfed into the ground, and damn sure won't admit they have the power role. They say killers are STILL to OP. Need proof? Look at the nerf mori posts, the nerf Billy, nerf Freddy, nerf GF, nerf doc now, nerf hag, nerf huntress. Did I forget any? I'm sure I did....
You're just showing how much bias you have by claiming one side complains more than the other.

Then what about a set of "voice commands" like "save me" "do gens" etc.
It would let random people comunicate without all the ######### associated with comms
Yes that would be awesome.

They don't need to be removed. What people "call" instasaw is not instasaw. It shortens the charge time to 1.5 seconds, and is still easily dodged. Unless you're right in front of the Hillbilly, literally touching them, then you were screwed whether he had those addons or not.
This is just a case of players not wanting to adapt. These are the same people who told killers to adapt when ruin was nerfed.
You forget the extra time instasaw buys you.

Nailed it right here.
The argument of “you could just mute it”...isn’t valid at all. With killers being buffed around everyone communicating, if you mute it you are now at even more of a disadvantage than solo survivors are currently. Also with regards to the toxicity, if you have the others muted there’s a very good chance your “teammates” will be annoyed with you....you know how that will turn out. Plus people who play SWF currently would probably mute the in-game voice chat, and just use discord or whatever. Why would they want to talk to randoms? They’ll just carry on talking to their friends only like normal. Now the solo player who actually DID want to talk, has nobody to talk to because his SWF teammates have it on mute lol. It’s a terrible idea that would be disastrous. Luckily, they’ll never do it.
Wth bro? Getting muted won't make anyone angry enough to sandbag, and atm solos are always constantly muted. There is no downside to this being added at all, prove me wrong.

Why is it good on Demopuppy? It doesn't affect his charge up attack.
He can use his charge attack to hit the obsession so he doesn't lose stacks.

Voice communication is not a "small buff".
Is it a large buff?

Anyone who thinks killers would get appropriately buffed if coms were introduced is smoking some real good stuff and I want some.
I mean...they need something to compensate for some survivors getting a small buff.

I haven't played R6 ever since the new COD came out.

Nurse, changes up how you approach chases significantly.
Hillbilly because Billys at red ranks are always pulling off some cool tech I never even tried before. Instasaw isn't that fun though.

reading all of these pig comments makes me feel like i’m softer than Charmin. i’m on xbox though. so that may be why? i’m not into crouch camping and there’s something pathetic about going after the blendette who just failed miserably at her 3rd skill check at her 4th box.
for some reason on xbox, Ghostface attracts the most toxic killers. they all turn into sluggers just to tbag. GF matches usually always carry an extremely juvenile vibe lol. i won’t hate on it but it’s definitely noticeable.
Yea when I play GF on xbox the survivors never expect me to not tunnel or give hatch, but I do and they dm me compliments and gg etc.

This might be working for the US, but certainly not for Europe. There are so many languages involved.
Like, I live in Germany, we have English in School, so every German should speak somewhat decent English. I work at international Events, therefore I have a lot of contact with people from all around Europe, and I know that not everybody can speak English to the same degree. And some simply refuse to speak it (looking at you, France).
Furthermore, as written above, why should a group of foreign Speakers include me in their conversation? If I am solo with a 3 man SWF from Italy, they will most likely not speak English, let alone use the ingame Voice Chat.
And knowing this community and in general communities of cheap games, I also dont want to get insulted by a 14yr old in his language, because I did something he did not like.
So while it should be the longtime goal to buff Solos to SWF-Level to balance the game around that, this will not be achieved with Ingame Voice Communication.
I see that now, I live in US where everyone knows English so I had no idea of comms problems in Europe. A chat wheel would work much better.

I think it's kinda skewed here because the more hardcore you are, the more likely you are to come to forums and be involved.
I don't really like jump scares but I enjoy creepy ambiance and think it would be cooler with more horror. I just don't really load up DbD and go 'oh it's time to compete, sure hope I don't get tunneled and face camped!'
It's fun to be a little on edge. Spook people until it's less about how competitively you can loop and more like 'whoa, that was creepy lol'.
Hmm I can respect that

I'm all for more communication for solos but voice chat would be horrible imo.
Maybe a chat wheel or whatever? Says things like heal me or get on gens or he's nearby?
-
Same.

@LlamaArmour said:
Most likely because of language barriers, and toxicness.
Also, remember every time you've been abused in end game chat? Now imagine that during game. Sounds like a terrible idea now right?
Lastly, I would personally disable in game comms, but with the inevitable killer buffs, I would get destroyed every game. Remember that solo survivor is the weakest role in the game, followed by killer, and the strongest is SWF.
Well of course there would be an easy way to mute it if you don't want to hear somebody's mic.

I shouldn't lose a double pip for it. Like the number one, and pretty much only problem is that it punishes the killer. Sure you "won the game", but it doesn't feel like you won, when you are a tick short of a double pip because the last survivor got a free mechanic.
It's like you're playing poker, and you can bet half your chips to force the last guy at the table to go all in, and then when you do the dealer looks through the deck, hands him a clean full house - hits you over the head with a baseball bat, and then gives the rest of your chips to that other player.
Well hopefully hatch kills/escapes won't carry too much weight with new mmr lol.
-
@Mikeasaurus said:
So, you want to turn the entire survivor side into a non-stop SWF? Seems fair.
Killers could be buffed accordingly, maybe 10 seconds added to each gen to start out with? Then these times could be lowered as killers are individually buffed.
-
@NullEXE said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1047425#Comment_1047425
Oh no, I don't forget. It's pretty dumb, but at the same time you don't give any player Free Win mechanics.
The original purpose - if you remember - of the hatch. Is that is was implemented into the game to stop Survivors from taking the game hostage when thing's don't go their way.
Which it's common sense to know that if one player is doing something wrong, you don't remedy that problem by giving them a free win, but that's what happened.
Honestly when it comes down to the last survivor, EGC should just start. Doesn't activate the doors, or anything. It just starts. Then if the survivor can finish the last gen(s), then have the hatch open, or make them have to power the gates. Otherwise the entity takes them after the timer to avoid survivors from hiding.
You still technically win whether or not the last survivor gets out, so hatch shouldn't be too much of a bother. The entity feeds off hope and that just doesn't exist when the gates spawn close together.

I can understand that, I don't even use DS because it isn't reliable in most cases. Just this one situation, not only did the perk not be used for it's intended purpose (let's be real it never is after the first month of playing), but it gave the last survivor a free win because of it.
I am just more baffled that a survivor has the ability to win when a not a single generator is done. Like honestly I feel like i'm going to find a way to abuse this. You know just like completely sabotage my whole team, and then take the hatch.
You forget that survivors aren't required to work together, and usually only do so for some personal benefit.

Killers have asked for DS to be nerfed as it is used in over 80% of matches but BHVR have yet to respond.
Welcome to having a team member wasting time to do a sabotage two hooks daily, moris, keys and hatch mechanics.
The devs say that self care is the most used by a large margin, and isn't even close to ruin still.(ruin was 44% overall)

So its a matchmaking problem? When i play survivor its hars to find a lobby and when i play killer at rank 9 i start to get rank 1 teams, so its a problem or they dont have rank 1 killers playing anymore to put against them. I believe its a lack of killer players a matchmaking "problem" does not appear without someone changing the code for that.
It is partly due to a lack of rank 1 killers, but this is caused by too many red rank survivors because of the new rank reset and swf matchmaking. They did [BAD WORD] something up with matchmaking they admitted somewhere if I'm not mistaken.
-
It would be cool if there was one slot dedicated to teachables. Claudette having 2 bill perks and 2 laurie perks equipped really breaks the immersion(something the devs care about...looking at you ruin)

I forgot to say but i want the survey sata in the devs stream if possible, it will be interesting to see wich is the most played role and how much is the chance of these role continue playing in the next 3 weeks/months ( i dont remember the question very well)
I am already seeing that matchmaking problem is the lack of killers and survivor lobby is getting more rare frustrating to get
There is no lack of killers...I doubt less than 20% of dbd players play killer.
-
Most people went totally 4head and put collection of horror characters or whatever. I don't know about y'all, but I'm not sticking to this game long term because Michael and Freddy and Demo are in it, at least not if the game is extremely unbalanced. Sure characters bring people in, but it won't make them stay too long.

I am confused by your logic? The "hook tech" is an exploit, because it something you are not supposed to be able to do within the game, however, a bug allows you to do it, hence the reason it's called an exploit.
Brining a Flashlight or Toolbox is something the developers intended you to be able to do. Standing under the hook with 100% immunity to the killer is not something they intended you to do.
Flashlights are also bugged, hence bringing them is an exploit, no?
-
Hag, tunneling
Ghostface and Leatherface, camping
They all also are very accusatory in end game chat.
-
Is bringing a flashlight also an exploit? Is bringing a toolbox an exploit? You should've just said you were afraid of noed.
-
Survivors would be invincible on a lot of tiles.
-
Low rank host??
-
This eliminates camping to some extent but tunneling will probably stay a very viable strat.

That is kinda my point Myers is the embodiment of evil. Which yes, easily makes him the easiest answer for the question. However, if I was looking for the worst of the worst of the humans on the list, I wouldn't include monsters. And Myers being evil incarnate, actually makes him not human anymore, it makes him evil in human form.
Now did the question imply they had to be human? No, but there is something different about being evil by nature, and choosing to be evil. Demodoggy is evil by nature, Myers is Evil because he IS EVIL. However Ghostface and the Clown, choose to be evil.
Haha good point mate

Lasting in the entity's realm is a test of will, not smarts.

I guess the problem is I see Ghostface and the Clown as people, where I see Myers as a creature or monster and similarly to the reason I excluded Demodoggy from the list is why I might be excluding Myers. I just don't see him as human enough to be "evil"
Is there anything more evil than evil incarnate?

CI is a perk that gets disabled after 2 minutes. The only difference between it and Ruin is you actually get the full 2 minutes out of CI.
Why do you have to sacrifice 1/4 of your perks to get a fair start of the game while survivors get 16 perks and only a few can even be disabled?
Also CI won't stop them from blazing through gens at lightning fast speeds, it just stops them from doing it on certain gens.
CI gives the setup time certain killers need though...isn't that the only reason ruin was "required"?
