Dude what? You mean a worse overwhelming presence? If you don't like items Franklin's tier 3 is more than enough.

Matchmaking has been like this since the Oni update.
Matchmaking has been like this since dbd's release. Let's all start claiming things because we know better. No sarcasm games like this have literally been happening long before the oni update.

-sigh- How about "Anti-Aim-Assist" then?
If you really hate the name it really is(Animation Enhancement), maybe you should start a petition for the devs to rename it lol.
-
Mm like this makes me wonder if mmr is being used yet. Probably not, since they said they would let us now when it was right?

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/127702/there-is-no-autoaim-in-dbd
Autoaim can help you hit a target, this means that it can make you hit a target you shouldnt have hit, because you werent aiming for it
So, Autoaim = helps you hit your target
Animation Enhancement, just like Autoaim can make mistakes when judging surviviors position, especially if the survivior is moving very fast (360s, DH, SB, etc) and it results in your character missing an attack that should have hit.
Animation Enhancement = helps you miss your target = the opposite of Autoaim
So, what Dead by Daylight has isn't Autoaim, it's Anti-Autoaim. It's actually worse than Autoaim, because rather than helping killers hit targets, it causes them to miss targets they should have hit.
However, Autoaim in many games also helps you miss targets you should have hit, because if you try to track targets and aim for where they will be, Autoaim shoots at where they are instead, which causes the shot to miss.
So, since Autoaim can also cause hits to miss by making bad judgement calls, and since it's a lot shorter than "Animation Enhancement," isn't it easier to just call it Autoaim? (I'd also accept "Aim Assist." Because in general, if someone comes in reading about how "Animation Enhancement" causes killers to miss hits, they're not going to know what that means unless they're a forum regular. Meanwhile, "Autoaim" and "Aim Assist" are well known terms that mean nearly the same thing.)
Animation Enhancement never causes missed hits to succeed

That would be fairly awful if I am being honest.
If you are new to the game, it would be remarkably frustrating and cause so many issues.
If you are not new to the game, it would just be an inconvenience unless you had certain perks or such and then it just renders your entire build useless which is not something you really want happening, people would just get frustrated and DC because basically they are playing with little or no perks.
Just, I can see this being soooo infuriating and not fun at all, effective sure, but far far far from an enjoyable play experience. I hate trashing on ideas because it never hurts to just share your thoughts, so don't take this personally, I just think it would be an awful time sorry.
I can see that.

About the perk: no aura, shorter duration and I guess it's an okay perk. Basically it'd be the non-hex version of new ruin.

The better solution to gen-tapping is to have the regression stay until a gen has been worked on by survivor(s) for t seconds, where t equals the amount of time it takes the killer to complete a gen-kick animation (without Brutal Strength).
If the survivors don't work on the gen for 2 (e.g.) seconds straight then the regression stays
I don't know why this isn't in the game yet...
-
Hmm what would apply it? Third Seal, add ons, Diversion, Head on? Could be a decent enough QoL change to make the game more immersive.

Whatever you choose to call it, it's still something in the game screwing with Killer's ability to play, and is easily taken advantage of by Survivors. I know when I play survivor. I slide in past the corner of a rock while in a chase, knowing that even though the killer should hit me - aim assist is going to register it as hitting the rock. Same with corners, tree's, and etc. I also know the 360 maneuver which is easy to get away with against any killer that isn't playing with a ms over 60.
As Killer It's annoying when I am looking at a survivor, and I intentionally don't swing yet, knowing all the survivor has to do is press A/D once, and my attack is just going to forcibly go into that corner even though I wasn't looking at it - just because they F1 a corner.
Don't even get me started on the fact that the "animation enhancement" even see's hooked survivors as targets. So when you are hitting someone who is performing an unsafe unhook, the feature forces you to hit the survivor on hook, though the survivor in front of you instead. Giving both survivors a free escape.
So yeah - tell Killer's to "get gud" in a game where every second matters, and they are forced to wait seconds because the game is broke, is dumb. They should fix their game, and be made aware of issues it has.
Mhm he didn't discount it, he just asked that you not tire the devs by repeatedly misnaming it.

I’m looking at this as more of an answer to gen tapping during a chase. I also like forcing survivors to decide between using up (and losing) their toolbox or letting go and losing all that time that the toolbox bought for them.
Solution to gen tapping during chase: don't kick gens when survivors are close enough to safely tap them. Changing the entire entity blocking mechanic seems like overkill.
-
I love it. It's like if there was a survivor perk that made doing gens more fun. Too bad it's no good without BS or SF.

I'm not discrediting dedicated servers, or connection issues entirely. I'm just mentioning it's not always the problem. When you play killer, you can see the difference between when it's because you hit the edge of the survivor hitbox, and when you get a hit via connection issues. It's harder to see as the survivor though, since you're preoccupied with the chase.
Of course I was just clarifying so that others don't get confused 🤗
-
@NullEXE said:
Survivors all have the same size hitbox, and it also confuses players that are using smaller survivors, then get hit by an attack they quickly call dedicated servers or connection issues.
Killer's have different sized hitboxes, so it looks cleaner when you hit them with a pallet or they interact with other objects (lockers, windows, generators, etc). However this causes problems for Killer's like Oni, and Clown (Clown has the biggest hitbox in the game right now). Where if you formula one loops, then they move nearly at the same speed as the survivor (the exact same in Clowns case) - making it impossible to catch the survivor.
I get window hit quite frequently as larger survivors, so it's not just hitbox misjudgment.

I could see using it for Prove Thyself, but really you usually spawn with someone now, and the other two players are just around the corner. Also, banding together is not all its cracked up to be with perks like discordance and infectious fright.
I also don't get what you mean about flashlights, are you betting on the person getting downed at the beginning of the match? Perks like empathy and Bond would be better for that, no?
An offering isn't as costly as a perk slot, and the closer someone is the easier it is to flashlight save them.

There's about as much proof as your counter claim. More, actually. At least mine makes sense and can be backed up by...you know...things that are actually happening in game, aka queue times.
Do you have anything to back you up?

Yes, "everyone" is leaving. That may well be true, but killers are leaving at a higher frequency. The queue times on both sides are evidence of that.
Wish I could agree, but there is no proof :/

Haha well evidently I'm the oddball out on that one. Personally I think there are plenty of killers that don't have to take corners to chase (hag, nurse, spirit) as these killers can use their power to avoid that component of chasing. Which is what makes them top tier killers. Making this change wouldn't help hag or nurse or spirit because they rarely are in a chase that requires them to loop repeatedly. They mind game.
Changing the killer box size would help put m1 killers on par with the higher tier killers. Sure it would make them stronger. But no stronger than a good top tier killer ya know? At least that's my opinion. Put all killers on par with each other will help increase killer diversity and make balancing easier later. If they are too strong, tweak it. But it would help put more killers on the same level. In my opinion. Which is clearly not the common opinion lol.
Killers shouldn't be m1 killers, they should have unique and possibly game-changing powers. Please don't encourage devs to make useless killer powers.

Survivor responses:
- If you depipped for escaping, you literally did nothing all game.
- If people want to struggle and give up, that's up to them. If I go on hook and see people crouching/self caring in a corner, I dip.
- This is an indirect result of killers not having fun and leaving.
- Also an indirect result of the devs favoring survivors and doing their darndest to make it as easy and fun for them as possible.
- Eh. They can't ban people for DCing until literally every bug that forces people to DC is removed. Then we can talk about DC bans.
- Yes, this is an issue. Pipping as survivor is way too easy.
- Yet another indirect result of what the devs have done. They have essentially eliminated early game plays from most killers. So often you'll see the same...slug build, for example. Or PWYF build.
- You can't really blame killers for dodging a lobby full of toolboxes, right now.
- I'm at red ranks...I barely see any mori's. I think you're exaggerating.
Killer responses:
- Agreed.
- Agreed.
- Indifferent. There's plenty of useful perks, the issue is there's more useLESS perks than useful ones.
- Keys have been insanely strong and far more common than mori's (which is what they get compared to the most) since the EGC became a thing.
- Agreed.
- Agreed, but honestly, I'm not bothered when a survivor DC's. That's a win in my eyes.
- So much yes.
- Thompson House is the worst one I've seen...shack...connected to L wall T wall..connected to Cow Tree...connected to hay bale tile...connected to long wall tile with a pallet...connected to another L wall T wall with a pallet....connected to one of the safe pallets by the house...OOF.
- Not just that, but the skill ceiling as a killer is capped. There's only so much you can do, no matter how skilled you are at the game.
- Yes, this is an issue.
He literally just said why survivors don't have fun either. If anyone is leaving, it's everyone. I'm sick of this "killers are gonna leave and be toxic until fix game" bs. Just for you guys, I'm gonna play like I always have on killer and make my main objective getting 1 kill and 4 stacks of bbq. Entitlement can really kill your enjoyment.

I said it above but the part that applies here is that looping would then become about pallets and windows as it should be as opposed to the current form of looping where you take as many corners as you can to add time. And God forbid the killer swing early cuz you just added 2 more laps on the merry go round.
Looping is the meta, without it killers will get consistent 3ks without even needing a power. Isn't this obvious? Before looping was meta, killers were extremely powerful.
-
Why are you only saying this now?

Better question: why is the killer box bigger than survivors? All it does is make looping worse.
Can't argue logic either cuz legion is literally the same size.

It would be cool if it reduced the stun when swinging into a pallet. Other than that, it has a purpose and serves it well.

Sometimes, but I find that killers are very reluctant to leave god pallet dropped. Against some killers like Doc or Clown it really is useless imo.

I didnt do that, actually. And I'm not blaming anything on anyone other than someone who DC because they couldnt handle what happened in game.
So they're a scummy killer. And? Move on.
Disconnecting makes you worse than that, because it shows you cant regulate emotion, handle a loss, or just move tf on and be an adult. You have to "prove your point" or "get the last word" by going "######### you , I can pull the plug."
"What the killer did"
What they did was waste their entire game and got one kill, and you took it personally, as a righteous crusade to combat. Get off your high horse hon.
And now you've resorted to insulting me instead of actually debating your point? I guess that just proves my theory about people who would DC over ######### like that.
I have no interest in responding to someone who has no response except "oh you're wrong, YOURE the #########".
Bye now, hopefully you'll grow up someday.
<3
Disconnecting shows none of that, it just shows that the killer isn't going to get the kill they didn't deserve in the first place.
-
Thank you! It was giving me anxiety how many people literally thought this was a valid question. Truly too much ignorance and bias on these forums sometimes...

Only issue I could see is with a killer like myers who can stalk at a distance. Essentially he'd be able to get his stalking meter full and not even have the game begin. A survivor would be forced to run up to him and give him a free hit to stop him from stalking while gens are massively slowed down. You might say the game will begin once he stalks but then that would be unfair to myers as now survivors would get a free heads up that he's stalking.
Hmm we discussed this and we thought it would be fair if it ended when Meyers tiers up or when GF is revealed.

That would be nice to mix with Myers as I assume the Vaulting speed and window block would still simultaneously work with tier 3, though I ask that Myers gets faster break speed too.
I had the same thoughts :)

Great Ideas guys.
I also had the idea of the percentage increase being multiplicative by 2 instead of additive.
Example. 3% 6% 12% 24% 48%
While 48% is high, the last gen is done so you won't have much time to utilize it.
Makes sense to me.

Hmm? It's not supposed to be realistic, it's supposed to be terrifying or something like that.

Buff it to 10/15% each stack and let it keep synergizing with Brutal Strength and Bamboozle. If survivors can have every speed perk stack then killers should as well.
