Definitely Inner Strength. I only solo queue, so having a reliable heal is essential. BT, Kindred, IS, and either an exhaustion perk or Iron will is what I run most of the time.
Wish I could run other more fun builds, but red ranks are... a treat.

I've played quite a bit of the PTB and I'm happy. The killer is actually fun to interact with as a survivor. Strong, but not OP/boring.

Considering the sheer amount of Huntress I'm running into in red ranks, I'd say Clown.

I want to say Otz, but the way he talks annoys the everliving hell out of me so I haven't watched much of his stuff.

Filthy survivor main here.
Thanatophobia, even with Sloppy Butcher also present, isn't something I ever give a ######### about. A meta without Ruin means someone good at hitting great skill checks can make up for the slowdown. The only time Thanatophobia will give an appreciable edge in a game is when the skill ratio between the killer and survivors is near even, and that doesn't happen very often in my experience (1400 hours so far). Additionally, since I solo queue I run Inner Strength a lot which is a very nice Thana/Sloppy counter as well as a reliable heal.

If two or three people pop into the lobby as the same character I'll usually swap over for the memes. I don't usually go full doppelganger unless I think the outfit is fire or the player is being fun/cheeky.

When I see a Killer has burned a BPS I automatically hear a "Sorry, this game is going to be rough because of sweat/build so here's a consolation prize."
In this case I play normally until I can see the killer in action. Not tunneling/camping/slugging? Ok, now I ignore the god windows/junglegym bullshit/second chance perks.

I love when killers get angry about totem pops. Like really, if you were playing survivor you'd go out of your way to pop that ######### too.

AMEN. The killers who have adapted are the ones I fear the most. Very good at map pressure and planning for late game.

I'll lead with this: Early game does need a slowdown with Ruin changed. Games are too fast and not really fun for either side.
That being said, please don't act like this is the only reason you got popped on. You made several mistakes in your chase, which should've ended much sooner. You have NO pressure perks at all. It also doesn't really help you when you confess that you got a 4k anyway. "OMG I got genrushed PLS FIX... even though it didn't matter in the end."
Just add your voice to any of the multitude of impatient, indignant killer main threads instead of embarrassing yourself. Try and familiarize yourself with BHVRs mindset on the recent issues.

Ok, I have to suspect then that the survivor you were up against was using a hack or cheat of some kind then.
All killers move either 10% or 15% faster than survivors. So provided a survivor NEVER used a vault in a chase it’s inevitable that a killer should catch up eventually.
Sounds like what you’re experiencing is very suspicious.
If it happens again, make sure to save video of the match, and report the player in question in the post game results screen.
Come on... The guy literally admitted to being a new killer against a red rank survivor. How is it that you immediately leaped to cheating? I could loop a baby killer until the cows come home and not break a sweat. Without seeing a recording of this, my guess is that the killer was not optimal in hugging the walls when chasing because baby killers don't really know how vital that is. You'll never catch a survivor playing optimally if you're taking wide turns.

I've started actively goofing around in matches where gens are going fast to slow the game down just a little bit. Red rank queues are annoying as it is, so why not have a little fun?
I have to say that I've run into a lot of killers recently who seem to appreciate the goofy games in red ranks.

All I see in this thread are more mouthbreathing killer mains angry that they couldn't get a 4k. It's not enough to know that you basically won because the survivor had to "cheat" to deny you the 4k? How DARE the survivors subvert your glory.
It's a game. Y'all need to unclench and accept that sometimes ######### happens. I think you might start having fun again.

I always laugh when killers nod furiously. It's either because they're happy they gotcha or are impressed by a juke. As jaded as I am I can't help but feel a little good that whatever I did made someone else feel good too, regardless of the cause.

I honestly don't care if someone DCs/Suicides. It means that they probably weren't being productive anyway. Hell, either the killer is chill enough to alter their tactics to accommodate the bullshit or I feel a bit empowered to take more risks in getting chased because I know the game is already stacked in the killer's favor anyway.

I love the killers crying because they couldn't 4K due to a key. Y'all know the game is balanced around a 2K average, right? Hatch is bullshit now without a key anyway. In a game with 2 survivors dead high rank killers will slug the 3rd to look for the hatch so they can close it after hooking. At that point what the ######### else is the last survivor to do? Killers will just patrol the doors (which have a bad habit of spawning near each other) so what hope does the survivor have? There should always be a CHANCE. A lot of people would stop playing a game where smart killers remove all hope of escape because that's not ######### fun.
There have been a lot of ######### playing today on both sides, so my viewpoint at the moment may be tilted.

It takes a lot to ruffle my feathers, so its not something I want or like doing but it is ruining my enjoyment of this game. Thank you all for the MLGA guidance! Not sure what that is but I'll figure it out. :)
