Sprint Burst is in my opinion the best exhaustion perk. I was even thinking putting DH one tier down just to showcase that, but that would not do DH justice.

The reason is simple. 99% Sprintburst all the time and you have a better version of DH if your timing is right.

MoM that good? I tried it one time only like i mentioned, but i felt protection hits on porpuse just to maybe get MoM ready is way to much of a handicap. Maybe i am wrong here and i have to try this one out a bit more again. Thank you!

MoM can be good if you have a team/build that can make use of protection hits (ie escaping the killer's grasp). Sprint Burst can only be 99'd during chase if you don't complete objectives I'm pretty sure.

  • Probably just avoid spending bp on killer and finally get my steve to p3

  • I would argue against Sprint Burst being so high but it's pretty much the same as spine chill. MoM is definitely at least B tier now.

Most people have DLCs so they don't care for splinters and shrouds are actually broken (I've had killers use the shroud and all 4 survivors still spawn together) so why use a broken thing and it helps the killer when all survivors are in the same area.

But I embrace the moris, they're apart of the game and are allowed to be used. If they gonna DC when it's a secret offering then maybe they shouldn't be playing DbD... Hell, if you gonna DC for anything, maybe you shouldn't play. I don't understand the enjoyment in lobby simulator nor do I see the enjoyment of just straight up not even playing the game you bought. It's a multiplayer game with other people behind the screen, they're not expert AI that will work the way you'd expect. There's so many different factors each game and if one's brain can't think of all the factors they won't enjoy, that's their fault. There's many games I don't touch anymore (and will never again) because there was something in it I didn't enjoy...

Don't enjoy it, don't play it but people will never put their two brain cells together and understand that. So they will continue to DC over and over.

Killers should quit the game if they don't like facing swf? Yeah sounds good

How about reworking moris and give people less reasons to dodge them?

smartest post on this thread. Should only work on survivors on death hook but devs were too lazy to try and code that.

The BL nerf is completely fair, and done so to prevent the constant abuse of that perk in a chase.

Is it useless in some maps and matches? Yes. But so are a lot of other perks. So many of the available perks you can never guarantee you are going to use. Perks are there for enabling better survival all game but also as a safe guard if some things don't go according to plan. Like DS, for example. No, it may not be an exhaustion perk but my point is that you may not even get to use it most of the time! You can't expect for the devs to tailor all the maps with one perk in mind, because they don't do that to other perks that could only be considered map based either.. because you can never be sure you're going to end up using a perk to full capacity in a match.

The point of exhaustion perks is to give the survivor a small advantage over the killer - most of which involve a speed boost or like DH, a free save on a hit. Furthermore, it's not like these perks have the same properties as Unbreakable and are limited to one use per game? BL isn't a once a game perk (like Adrenaline is, and which is also an exhaustion perk..) and you can use it again once you can outlast the exhaustion.

So, remove the speed boost and therefore the exhaustion and leave the passive? How many of y'all would complain if they changed it to be like that? Taking away that sprint boost would almost ruin the perk. Yes, you could use it indefinitely after that but how much of that boost is contributing to out running the killer? Even with a reduced stagger reduction, the killer would still be able to catch up depending if the perk is still used to loop the killer.

If y'all aren't using the perk to loop a killer, and don't want to stealth the perk, would you be content with no boost after the fall?

Yes the nerf is fair, but no BL is not useful anymore.

  • @Yixuan said:

Okay, I am quoting from true here, he said something like killers should be considered with using addons, cause no addon 4k just means the survivors are bad. And if you think about it, many killers either have really weak addons or addons that just can not replace, like myer's faster stalk, billy's charge speed(?), wraith's windstorm, trapper's trapperbag, ghostface's recoveryspeed(?), doctor's shockrange, and now legion's pin. And for the other killers not listed, they do have a variety of viable addons, and some of them only helps if the player is great at the killer. I can confidently say if these addons listed are removed from that killer, it would be quite a heavy nerf for all of them.

You know you've been playing for a while when you forget what it's like to play without decent add-ons

  • People are gonna be toxic. Doesn't mean you have to stereotype. If you wanna play "toxic" builds that's on you. If you wanna have fun that's also on you. If you really care about judging people or getting judged then you have an official welcome from 2019.

So I've recently had a problem with head on in my matches.

I'll be playing killer and I'll see scratch marks leading straight to a locker. With this information, I can assume the survivor is running DS and/or Head On. From here one of two things happen:

I bait out the head on stun, and the survivor falls for it. However, I still get stunned even though I am nowhere near the locker. This on its own is annoying, but not necessarily broken. I could've just miscalculated and gotten a deserved stun, after all. Maybe I just wasn't as far as I thought I was?

This, however, is disproven with the next example.

I bait out the head on stun and the survivor falls for it, leading to me downing them immediately after they leave the locker. Then I get stunned as if the survivor had hit me with head on, even though they are already down.

This shows that the problem is clearly a problem of the server, not my depth perception. Whether it be due to lag, latency, or mathieu cote himself clowning on me, I have no idea. However, one thing is clear: this is a problem.

I've also had problems with lag all day, most likely due to the servers' incapability of dealing with the influx of players coming in for the new content. One of the biggest issues is my m1 attacks just not hitting. My weapon will literally phase into survivors bodies and they will not be hit (not due to dead hard). Although, even without the servers smoking I have had this problem with Head On. This needs to be fixed.

wow the game is laggy. Thanks for informing us all

Okay cool. Then let's try and see if we can both get around this.

The Deep wound change made any and all stalling for Legion basically useless. They can run across map with no issue, work on a gen for a moment, then mend. Or they can just instantly start mending after being hit and even if the Legion stops and eats that stun, they can just run away with no penalty while Legion looks at there hands for 4 seconds. It would have been better to NOT lower mending times if this change was gonna be made, or revert the changes at least but no. We both have 8-12 seconds of "Stall" with RUNNING pausing the timer. Add to that Legion can't see Scratch Marks in FF or even blood, loses 50% of there power on a m1 hit, and lost all of there perks synergies with Feral Frenzy (Which removed EVEN MORE "STALL") and you have a Kilelr who's power is literally more punishing to use then not use.

Oh I see. I thought you meant the recent change flipped Legion on their head but now I see that it was more like the final nail in the coffin in a long series of unnecessary legion nerfs. I see why you would give up at this point, Legion has officially been put into the ground by the devs.

  • Let me get this straight...you call me out for stereotyping but then go on to stereotype me as the type of person who won't listen to you. FYI, I'll listen to anyone as long as they have something insightful to say.

FPS? On survivor side its kinda ok but killer side? Still suck a lot.It seems that this "road to 60fps" is a myth just like this optimize patch for consoles in december 2018.Show us a consoles players some love for god sake or let us transfers our progress into pc.I buy almost every dlcs, spend 2,2k hours on this game hoping thats going to be better and better but no..Give us some respect,we pay for this game, pay for dlcs just like pc players and we are treated like a garbage.I understand pc is your main target and im really fine with that but you should also think about consoles players.FRAMERATE AND SENSITIVITY! We're not talking about gen speeds, we're talking about the abilities you are proposing. I'm talking about how YOUR idea would be in the MINORITY because it changes EVERYTHING about the game. The vast majority wouldn't be comfortable with basically having to relearn every little combination. Pick a topic and stick with it, dude.

why do you keep repeating yourself I understand what you're getting at

  • If you're on here you know about it and you know that hooking a survivor in the basement locks them out of play. I'm pretty sure it was in the patch notes so everybody knows by now. Now's not the time to do a basement tome bud

  • On xbox I'm rank 10 killer but won't stop matching versus purple rank survivors

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/892678#Comment_892678

No, I said "I don't think it's a terrible idea", not "I think it's a good idea". I'm not agreeing with your OP, but I'm merely stating that adding unbalanced things to an unbalanced things is a terrible idea. Putting the game in an overall worse state for the sake of abilities that survivors don't even need. Removing the 4th perk slot would make it unbalanced versus killers, which would mean you'd have to remove THEIR fourth perk slot or not add abilities all together, as it would overcomplicate the game and how much work the devs would have to put in.

And clearly, judged on how many people have commented on this post, your idea would probably end up being in the minority, and we know how well the devs listen to the minority when it comes to numbers.

well according to most people on these forums survivors need a major nerf because of fast gen speeds

  • @TimeMonster said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/892633#Comment_892633

This perk is intended so you start trial INJURED and combine it with Resilience, this is not happening, and so i don't care if killer has noed or MYC or rancor on me, or its hillbily chainsa, clown with oneshot finger and stuff like that

But i don't mind that after being hit, get deep wound timer untill mend

Starting the trial injured is fundamentally flawed

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/892637#Comment_892637

Okay, you're missing my point. Something, someway, no matter how hard they work or how meticulous they are, a survivor's ability, when paired with certain perks and maps, would be unbalanced. It always happens. There will always be that one person who finds something that makes healing 2 survivor states happen far faster than it should, or find some way to make a 40 second exhaustion time go to 20 seconds instead. It's coding, it's never perfect. That's the point I'm trying to make. I'm not saying the idea is terrible, but it's not a good idea as of this moment in time. That is what I'm trying to tell you.

oh so you agree with me :3

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/892622#Comment_892622

But you're saying that added something unbalanced SHOULD be added to an unbalanced game? Is it horrible of me to want them to fix the issues the game currently has before they throw more gasoline onto the fire?

I never wanted them to instantly implement survivor abilities, that's impossible. I'm talking about when it's convenient for them to do so. Besides who said they would have to be unbalanced?

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

Because the game IS unbalanced. I play both sides, I know this. And I never said that it isn't possible, but that if it was, it wouldn't be balanced. No one can guarantee that they would be all balanced when taking literally EVERY perk into consideration and how it would impact certain abilities, making specific combinations better for specific situations, which would create a meta, which is what happens every time a great perk is released for either side. There is no denying that. If you do try to, then you're neglecting basic facts about this game and every game in general.

so you're saying since it has the possibility of being unbalanced it shouldn't be added to an unbalanced game...nice. Hypocrites on these forums never fail to impress. If the game is unbalanced why are people playing it lmao

  • take people to basement if you want to depip. all I'm saying

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/892379#Comment_892379

Because that's how things work. Whatever pertains to the meta is the most used. That's not ignorance, it's fact. How many people do you see running DS, Adrenaline and Dead Hard in higher ranks? Abilities would have the same consequences. And you know damn well that nothing in this game is ever "equally powerful". Something ALWAYS takes the top spot because that's how game metas work. But I guess it's like you said, ignorance is bliss.

nothing in this game is equally powerful? How do the devs get people to play different killers instead of playing the "best" killer? You're just in denial that this game isn't unbalanced and that it is possible for survivor abilities to be implemented.

  • @GeneralSpudmuffin said:

  • @ad19970 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/892326#Comment_892326

Would be really nice honestly. However, if you are suggesting that survivors can equip three perks, and then one of their teachable as the fourth, exclusive perk, than that would indirectly nerf survivors since pretty much every meta perk is a teachable, which would mean you could not use any meta perks together. Of course increasing perk variety would always be great, but it would nerf survivors and at the moment I don't think survivors need any nerfs. So they would need a small buff to compensate for that.

I might be understanding this wrong though and you mean survivors should each have 3 exclusive abilties in addition to their teachables, of which you could equip one of them. That would work better, but I think creating three abilties for each survivor would be way too much. Don't forget there are a lot of survivors in this game now. To be fair this is wishful thinking anyways, I don't think it's very likely that the devs want to create an ability for every survivor. As nice as that would be.

Yea I know right now they can't add abilities because of the sheer amount of work required but eventually it could be a possibility and I can't wait for that glorious day.

  • @DeadByGayDwight said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/110084/survivor-abilities

Seeing the exact same survivors every game wouldn't be fun for literally anyone. It's fine the way it is. Playstyles are what make survivors unique.

Playstyles are what make killers unique. Also why would you see the same survivors every game if they are all equally powerful. Let's just ignore that many inexperienced players already complain about seeing only p3 claudettes. Ignorance is bliss, a true dbd connoisseur I see.

  • lmao swf got nerfed don't cry kid

  • @ad19970 said:

It would be interesting to have survivors with certain abilities. But as pointed out, it would probably lead to certain survivors being picked almost all the time unless the abilties are all perfectly balanced, which is really hard to do.

I read the idea once that every survivor could just have a certain small passive buff or trait. Like Dwight having a 3% higher repair speed and Nea maybe recovering from exhaustion 10% faster or so. I think that could maybe work, if the values are kept very low, but it might also lead to certain survivors being picked much more than others.

It would be nice to have survivors be just a tiny bit unique though.

what do you think about nerfing survivors by only giving them 3 perk slots and instead of a 4th perk slot they have an ability slot. An ability is like a perk but it is unique to its respective survivor. Each survivor would have 3 abilities but they will also still have their teachables.

  • Creative, I love it!

  • Absurdly game-breaking

I'm not saying I don't want DS in the game, I actually like the idea of a perk that helps protect against being targeted, it's just that it allows for people with DS active to hide in a locker and have uncontested invincibility, with the only counter being wasting 50 or so seconds of your time as a killer, which if you know survivors, will most likely allow them to get a significant portion of the generators done.

if they hop in a locker you can just walk away, or maybe take the stun. These are both much better than sitting still for 30+ seconds

  • @SKILLS_HD_LOL11 said:

Even if they don’t revert it back to the old one they should atleast do a 50% reduction on stagger that’s enough for me because it won’t cause loads of infinite’s and I’d still be able do get away decently fine or just buff vigil where it makes exhaustion go down when running then I’m even more fine

I think you'd like my idea

  • @SammyWasabi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/891773#Comment_891773

The gate immunity is a part of the problem, another is the fact if you hop in a locker with DS, you're either going to get out free, or you're going to wastes about 50 seconds.

Bringing up other problems that another side has to face isn't an argument either, we can't address every problem in a singular post, I have my beliefs on totem spawns and maybe one day I'll post a thread about it, but for now, DS is on the table. And locker DS is uncounterable except for waiting and having little pressure.

Yes these are things DS does. Thank you for telling me. If you don't want DS to be in the game that's your opinion

that was pretty rude. If you payed any attention, you would notice that BL was broken because of poor map design and has nothing to do with the perk's power level (although it was better than average in this field, barely not meta and on par with pre-ded Dead Hard)
