I'm just curious is all, it happened multiple times but I feel absolutely nothing at all, I don't feel personally attacked or targeted and see absolutely no rational as to why so many people are upset by survivors doing it?

Because you don't play killer at all, that's why you don't find it upsetting.

If they greed loops because they have Dead Hard, and they don't have Dead Hard anymore, then

They just won't greed the loops.

In fact after they use DH they tend to drop pallets as soon as they can.

  • Survivors already complaining and Dead Hard nerf isn't even announced.

Imagine the forum in a few weeks if they nerf DH to the ground. Oh lord, will take some vacation from the forum for sure.

  • They used to, but not anymore.

As Killer you can literally see if they have dead hard or not by how they loop: they take too much risks, they greed the pallets and they usually relay on dead hard.

If dead hard gets nerfed to the ground I'm expecting a lot of 3000 hours survivors not being able tu survive for a while, which will make them create a thousand of posts saying "please nerf killers" and eventually they will nerf killers somehow.

  • They're supposed to be dealt with, and I'm sure they are, but not all of them. Considering how much toxicity and death wishes you can find in the endgame lobby, they would need a massive team working 8 hours on that.

They said they will address toxicity, I would like a system that rewards cool and good vibes players (giving them skins or BP if they recive upvotes).

I have to say (althought I might be risking a ban here) that there are some offenses that seems to be dealt inmediately, and on my personal perspective they are not that aggresive as a death wish.

  • You mean this?

I don't really know why they do this tbh, but its quite common and usually they are the first ones complaining when they get tunneled from a game. The best thing you can do is watch twitch or something else until they decide they mocked you enough.

Just regular bullies that hide their weakness by bullying others. Don't feed them!

  • I saw 3000 hours survivors who can't 99% SB effectively.

I'm glad to change SB for DH. Jesus, anytime. At least SB request some set up and preparation, is not just a button to just win the chase inmediately.

  • I feel like the 39 perk buff/nerf should have come before the event. The actual meta makes killers feel they need to camp and tunnel (sometimes its necessary and the best play, but camping from first hook is basically being a bad player).

  • The entire game changes. All the game circles around dead hard.

    • Killers won't need to run huge slowdown builds because chases will be shorter.
    • M1 Killers will be a bit stronger as they don't instalose against E for distance.
    • Space for other exhaustion perks which can bring perks like Fearmonger to the meta.
    • No more "press a key to save your missplay".

Can't wait to see the changes. Most important DbD moment in 6 years.

  • I enjoy good matches against good survivors. But what is a good survivor? Is someone that relays on E after I mindgame him/her a good survivor? Hard to say.

Sometimes I want competitive games and sometimes I want to have some fun. In anycase, there are some BS mechanics that makes games not enjoyable for both sides.

  • Its is clear that dead hard is probably the most overpowered perk we had in 6 years of existence.

However, I'm not sure they will address it correctly. I hope its not a change that ends being a buff.

Killers would be overjoyed and most of the survivors wouldn't play during that time since they don't know how to survive with only 2 health states.

    Pretty much this.

I can see that survivors relay too much on dead hard in a sense that they forgot how to actually loop like they did before the existence of dead hard, you can really see how they are looping according to the dead hard they are ready to use.

With dead hard removed even Trapper would feel OP for them.

No one did as far as I know. I certainly didn't so at least I shouldn't have been slugged. But even if people did I think making everyone wait 4 minutes until they die is... kinda extreme? Like i don't think clicking or tea-bagging equates to slugging people to death, but maybe that's just me. Like nodding and hitting on hook is the killer equivalent to teabaging and clicking.

I understand that but playing killer is quite a bit stressful this days. We are human after all maybe the Nurse came from a really toxic game and she was just upset.

I'm not justifying her actions (specially against people that did nothing wrong), just trying to be empathetic considering the killer is the bullied side of this game. Both sides have his own ######### and I wish we had a healthier enviorment to just have fun together.

  • Same reason why survivors tbag and click with the flashlight. Just for disrespect/childness.

However, I would like to see the game before judging this Nurse. If she was tbagged and disrespected then its totally understandable that she did that.

  • For me (Europe West) it takes between 5 and 10 minutes to find a lobby as killer during the morning, but it takes 20 seconds during the evening.

    For survivor is the opposite.

  • To be honest when I was new to the game I thought NOED was a teachable from Wraith. Later I figured out that it wasn't (I guess the terrible perks from Wraith are not worth to remember).

  • I don't think they are going to "base kit" something.

I don't know what to expect but there are some perks that are impossible to nerf, like how do you nerf Dead Hard without a complete rework? The only thing that comes to my mind is not being able to vault or drop pallets 2 seconds after the dash (which would make the perk unplayable).

  • What I would like is characters using their own perks having a stronger effect.

So Meg's Sprint Burst would be a bit better than any other survivor sprint burst.

  • The devs said during the stream that they are going to address toxicity.

However, I don't think teabagging o clicking is in the "toxic" category for them. I think they will mostly address the endgame chat verbal abuse.

The best thing you can do against toxic survivors is to ignore them. They just want the atenttion their parents never gave to them, if you ignore them they might even disconnect.

  • His TP is actually quite useful, but being an M1 killer makes him too weak to dead hard so until we get the massive perk rework I think he is mid tier.

so you think on equal skill the killer is about to get 3 hooks a game?

Yes,but usually its not the case that the 4 survivors are equally skilled. If that's the case, the killer has no chance at all unless he tunnels massively and maybe he can get 1 kill. (which can be prevented by crutch perks and nasty bodyblocks).

  • This is an asymmetric game. 4 vs 1 or 1 vs 4.

This means the side that is alone should be strong enough to win any 1 vs 1, but the team with 4 people can win if they work together. At least, if you want the game to be as balanced as possible.

What I mean by this is that if you were able to run the killer for 5 gens then playing killer would be absolutly miserable and no one would do it (the ammount of players playing killer is low enough already).

I would say that with an equal skill you shouldn't be able to run the killer for more than 2 gens, but the killer should drop you the moment he realizes that you know how to loop and he needs to focus on another weak survivor (if there is one).

  • They are basically the reason why people camp and tunnel with Bubba. They are the reason people run Noed.

The moment they understand this, the fog is going to be a better place.

Your mistake because you swung and didn’t wait it out.

To say that you definetly never played high mmr matches.

You can wait in the open, but you can't wait in the jungle gym otherwise they reach the pallet/window.

In otherwords, whatever you do, you are screwed.

  • What needs to be nerf is survivor stupidity.

A killer that camps is a killer that looses 3-4 gens in the process if survivors are smart enough to work on gens while he camps.

The only issue with that is soloQ, as the hooked one might try to escape because nobody is going to save him/her.

what is stopping you from forcing them out of the gate yourself

If you are with your son in the supermarket and he starts yelling and crying because he wants a chocolate, do you think the right idea is to buy it so he stops? Not really, the right answer is to educate him correctly.

Going to exit gates so they can tbag and mock you is literally like buying the chocolate.

  • Its the first and only time that DS has been fine since release.

Before the last change, survivors had basically a 1 minute of inmunity which was absolutely crazy and meta defining.

Now has the real purpose of preventing tunneling (althought lockers are kinda annoying, but at least they are not doing gens).

  • Because is what survivors do, for them this game is bully simulator.

Just like in school, they like to bully weak or new ones. Is the way they have to drive the atenttion out of their misery.

  • I feel like tough bans would be one of the first steps to improve de enviorment. Hope they can do something soon.

  • I personally dislike Ace, because all of them usually are jerks.

  • Let me answer you without hipocresy.

"GG" usually means good game, but people use it regardless of how the match when, is like "religion".

So even if they stomp you they will say "gg" because I think they forgot what "gg" means and yeah, its usually used for BM.

Dead hard is nowhere close to NOED. Dead hard can be baited out. NOED can't be baited.

I can tell you by that sentence that you don't play killer that often.

You can bait dead hard in the open. You can't bait it in a jungle gym because otherwise they use dead hard for distance and reach the window/pallet. So if you wait to bait it the survivor escapes and if you inmediately lunge they use it so they escape anyways.

    Basically no counterplay.

What happens if they don't play fair and still use slowdown?

I would argue the killer meta defines the meta. It basically forces you to have to play in the best SWF or you definitely lose. Every match should be fair play but it is not currently.

Otz practically never loses as killer.

    Its actually the opposite.

The only reason why killers stack antigen perks it is because if they don't do so, efficient survivors can finish the 5 gens in 4 minutes or less, even if the killer is constantly chasing one survivor.

So they have to play that kind of builds to have a chance.

If you wonder why, deadhard allows survivors to extend the chase (worst case scenario, for almost a minute), so basically the killers are always against the clock.

When you play as killer, you have to consider this: one time you full commit to the wrong chase, game is over. Time is crucial, no mistakes allowed.

  • Bubba for obvious reasons.

Hag because I don't enjoy jumpscares.

    Wraith because its kinda boring.

  • You realize that the only way killers can play "fair" (according to survivor's rulebook) is basically stacking slowdown perks right? If you don't run them, you are forced to tunnel and even camp (just watch Otzdarva's challenge).

The funny thing about all of this is seeing that Deadhard which is basically the perk that defines the meta right now.

  • I miss long games where you could enjoy a few chases before the gens were done.

  • I feel like "high MMR" is quite a myth.

Cameback to the game a week ago. Purchased Artist and look my first game:

    xd3.png

I thought the MMR was depending on the killer. Did they change that?

Had this match against a nurse, she played very well, got 2 hooks on all of us, downed us pretty fast, didn't camp and tunnel, but still all gens got done fast af cuz our team was efficient on gens (that's all that's needed for survivors to win). So as soon as the exits were opened she knew that she had lost despite doing so well, so she just stood in a corner waiting for us to end her suffering and just leave. However, the other 3 survivors just kept clicking at her while she stood in the corner, refusing to leave. They were doing that to a killer that played "fair". Killers are such a joke in dbd, i genuinely feel sad for people who play this role, but i also respect them. Congrats devs, you've managed to make this a horror game FOR the killer.

Those who mock the killer with tbags and clicks are the first ones to cry when the killer tunnels them. The killer is like a toy for them, they just want to mock him and up their ego thinking their life is somehow worth something because they can press E.

I feel like playing League when I play Killer, and yeah, if some of them survived I just stay on the basement and watch some twitch in the meantime until they decide to leave, even if its 20 minutes. They won't leave because their goal is to mock you and make you feel really bad. They are just bullies.

The truth is, if you want 4man as a killer, tunnel is the way to go. Even if it means eating a DS. You have to remove someone from the game asap otherwise all gens will be done in 4 minutes.

  • I swear survivors are getting off on gen rush the game to immediately get out with the blood hunt…

  • If you don't want to play the match you can always go basement and wait there until they leave.

I do that when doors are already opened and they are there waiting to tbag until last second. Just go basement and watch some twitch/youtube in the meantime.

  • Honestly if the killer camps at 5 gens and he still wins its survivor's fault. Gens are faster than ever just do gens and punish him for camping instead of standing in front of him.

Tunneling is kinda needed anyways on high mmr matches.

  • The build is kinda slow, you're probably gonna get rushed.

I would consider Corrupt/Lethal to try to improve your poor early game. With that build you relay too much on finding the first survivor and hope is not a good looper/E user.

Remove Sloppy for one of those and its perfectly fine.

  • It depends, If I want to have some fun I run none or just one. If I want to compete I have to run 4 (which is kinda sad, I don't have all perks in all killers so there are some killers that I cannot play with to compete).

  • Blinding a killer after a pallet drop if what makes Lightborn a good perk, bc basically is a free hit. You should definetly gain distance after a drop.

  • Its normal to run the most powerful perks.

But I have to say that survivors rely too much on Dead Hard these days. Is like they forgot how to win a mindgame without it.

If someday DH is reworked I wonder if there would be survivors there that know how to loop and trick the killer.

  • Stalking faster while leaning/not leaning are not that bad, sometimes it makes the difference between marking or not.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

I think a lot of people just get mad when they play nice and then the survivors act like they solved world hunger and created world peace at the end of the game, so, they would rather just 4k them so that their toxicity makes them laugh instead of feel bad.

    Golden words.

I used to be nice and let some survivors escape through the hatch (and other type of friendly stuff). Now I'm more on the no mercy side.

  • I think Pop is kinda overrated. It is mostly played because gen regresion perks are mandatory in order to compete, and the other ones are bad (ruin gets cleansed so ruin+pop is the way to go most of the times).

The problem with Pop is that you can't reach the gen in time before it gets done, and that happens a lot. I think its only powerful on high mobility killers

Kind of understandable, or not? Working on one single knife would be way too oppressive.

Its still a hex perk so you can cleanse it, and trickster is good anyways in most loops with pallets except the tallest ones.

  • @Aneurysm said:

Lightborn is nice in that scenario but not necessary. Even if they get multiple flashlight saves on you it doesn't mean much if no one does gens, and while you chase one survivor the other three chase you.

Lightborn is underrated but not for flashlight saves. When survivors have a flashlight they do stupid things like trying to blind you after a pallet drop instead of gaining distance. Ligthborn means a freehit there which means is a perk that can end chases quickly (which is huge in this meta).

1 2 3 4 … 7
