?? you mean playing with controller? lmao gl with the 360

They don't want to add a option to deactivate the endgame chat so...I recommend you to just leave the match inmediately.
There is almost nothing positive on that chat.
-
All games need an easy mode. Not everyone likes to challenge themself.

Well to be fair, it is kind of difficult to accept a 2k as a win when the remaining survivors are teabagging at the exit gate.
If we asume that the win means a pip, 2k is never a win for the Killer. Its impossible to pip with 2k, even 3k and 4k sometimes you just stay on same rank. Its crazy.
-
That doesn't make playing Killer easier than ever. Both sides got some nerfs.
Some of the things you mentioned were so strong but there was no dead hard, borrowed time plus decisive strike in 4 survivors at same time.

Define most times. Out of curiosity, i kept stats of my solo survivor games, and i had an escape rate in red ranks of 73%. After rank reset, it went down to 64%, because a lot of games were lost due to other survivors. That was after the Chains-of-fate-release.
As solo survivor I think I die in 8 of 10 games, but I get pip in all of them. Have to clarify that I like to play for fun and have challenges so I don't use DS or DH.
-
SoloQ is awfull and most times you'll die, but considering how points and rank work on survivor you'll be fine. I reach rank 1 as survivor without even being able to escape in most games.
What triggers me a lot is that when I play Killer I play against a 4 coordinated and god gen rushers survivors, but when I'm playing SoloSurvivor and the killer is chasing me for an entire 2 minutes, only 1 gen pops. That freaks me out.

Uhum, Thats are perks for self protections of Tuneler and campers killers, and i not aprove the tuneler and camper
Thats the intention of those perks, but not how they are used.
Borrowed Time is used most of the times for doing bad saves in front of the Killer a few seconds after hooking, plus there are some situations where camping is the best option (some situations in the endgame collapse, when you hook someone and the other 3 are there trying to get your attention in front of the hook).
Decisive Strike combats tunneling which is a perfect valid strategy to try to apply some pressure on the game. Might be boring for the survivor that is focused but Killer has a clock on their head and they cannot waste a second in stupid actions or chases, you better finish them quickly before they rush the gens.

One of the worst metas for killers? Killer has literally never been easier to play.
As for the OP it will take you time to find what works for you with Legion. I'd suggest checking out Otz on YouTube. He made a guide with what he feels is the best builds for every killer. That might help you out. Otherwise just keep practicing and experimenting.
Never been easier to play? Can somehow develop that line?
-
There are so many good players there that don't stream and they're pretty terrifying (not me for sure).
So I'm not able to say who is the best with each Killer...except for Umbra. Jesus christ that Huntress.
-
Well you're playing probably one of the worsts killers in the game, in one of the worsts metas for Killers.
I recommend you to try to play for fun and not be obsessed with the results. Chasing as Legion is hard because you have to go without the frenzy and M1 againts loops and jungle gyms. I would recommend to not commit that much into chases and just create chaos in the game and farm some bloodpoints. If you don't care about ranks you'll be fine.
-
I like to use it with Thana. Thana is not that strong but if you run Thana you force them a little bit to heal.
Without any perk or killer that hard punishes people for being injured, I would not run Sloppy. Survivors usually don't heal and rush gens while injured.
-
Some of them do it to try to mindgame with iron will, urban evasion and stuff...but most of them just do it for tilting the killer and to say "hey, come here so I can loop you while you lose 4 gens".
I prefer if they keep doing that, Lightborn closes that chase inmediately.
-
Some killers might need some visit, like Freddy (extremely boring and unfair to play against him), I main killer but I can see that.
I would be glad to see some survivors nerfs too thought, like dead hard, decisive or borrowed time.
-
I'm glad there is no penalty right now. Some things are kinda unbalanced and is a waste of time to even try it. ######### coldwind offerings.

Using a perk designed to gain distance to gain distance isn't "fixing a mistake" any more than using Spirit Fury or Enduring is to "fix your mistake" of getting stunned. You can arbitrarily reduce any perk that actually has a use into doing something that the player "doesn't deserve" to be able to do, and for what reason?
Its not the same situation. DH can be used in many situations to give you a sencond chance, sometimes after the killer outsmarts you in a loop, sometimes to reach some pallet or window...there are a lot of situations were DH is useful.
A perk like spirit fury is only usable in one single situation: when someone breaks the pallet and stuns you, and you have to break 2 pallets before so is not a perk that you can use on your first chase.
And we have to remember that the Killer uses 4 perks against 16 perks...so in fact in order to balance the game its understandable that the power level of the killer's perks should be a bit higher than survivors.

But the thing is right... is that if you lose 2-3 gens bcause of dh then you were getting looped for too long before and after the usage of dh
Which is not that hard to do specially if you go against a M1 killer. Not every Killer its Otzdarva. A regular killer is usually in a situation that one single mistake loses him the game, for example chasing the wrong survivor or commiting to a chase that is not worth it. What do you do in a situation where you have a gen close to a strong jungle gym (for example the bus on heavens), you commit? you leave so the gen is just lost? What happens if 5 of 7 gens are in similar situations? Dealing with all of that + 4 DH (and more things) make Killer harder than ever.
-
Is probably a bad design perk, because it allows you to fix your mistake but just pressing a button. Imagine a killer with a perk like that.
Anyways extending the chases is not that strong by itself, the problem is to lose 2-3 gens while chasing one single survivor because he has DH, and that happens with everyone in the game.
Rough times for killers.
-
Lightborn is in fact a really underrated perk, having those cocky survivors trying to blind you and get hit afterwards...means that that chase is over and you don't have to waste other 2 minutes on jungle gyms, which allows you to apply more pressure.
-
@KingFrost said:
Should you really get a pip if you camp and tunnel and mori people, ending the game prematurely? Personally, I don't think so.
No, but what if you don't camp, neither tunnel, and you still don't get a pip for a 4k.
In this case, it was a game where they were too obsesed on rushing gens that they didn't unhook.
-
Thanks all for the answers.
In a nutshell my feeling against him is like BlueBerry said: Some situations is a lose/lose whatever you do.
I don't have him but I think I'm gonna buy it and play with it, so I can understand better his weakness. For sure he has no map pressure which means he is extremely weak to gen rush, but I'm a solo player so can't rely on my teammates doing gens.
-
@xenotimebong said:
New Lightborn will completely counter it.
Even the actual Lightborn can counter that. Only at tier 2 is pretty hard to get blinded.
-
I'm surprised off how many players say that BT is there only for prevent camping or tunneling, forgetting that what BT encourages is to unhook in front of the killer a few seconds after the hook, not even giving a chance to leave (sometimes they even run behind you while you are carrying someone).
I would do BT a REAL perk to counter camping, and the best way to do that is by being activated only after a survivor is hooked at least 15 seconds.
-
Probably Freddy, Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike.
-
I feel like survivors are like the childs in school playing football when they said: "Hey, don't kick the ball so hard!".
My favourite rule is "don't use Noed", specially said by survivors using DS, BT and DH.

Survivors have never been weaker.
You wanna tell me no bloodlust, no exhaustion, god loops, no entity blocker, more pallets (have you seen old Blood Lodge??), two windows/two pallets per jungle gym, t-l walls having pallets, old asylum, old bnps, and old insta-heals were all weaker than what survivors have currently?
I disagree.
Well, survivors had old DS, infinites, ruin got nerfed, nurse too, billy will be nerfed soon...We got some ######### on both sides.
But I would like you to tell me why you think survivors are weaker than ever when you have pretty strong builds like DS+BT+DH+Adrenaline in 4 survivors than know how to loop, while 5 gens are done in 4 minutes.
Played both sides and I tell you this is the worst meta I ever played as Killer, but well is just my opinion ofc.
-
I read somewhere that devs are going to do something to help the killer on the early game.
Its a fact that gens are done too fast, even with DLC perks like Corrupt, Pop, discordance, etc...the moment you commit on a chase you better end it in 15 seconds or you lose the game.
Which means that as Killer you have to choose wisely which chases you take and which not, 1 mistake and the game is done. Survivors can do plenty of mistakes bc you know, DS, BT, DH...
-
Why you would nerf a killer perk when survivors are in their greatest state since the game was released.
I understand that Noed rewards you for not playing well, but also do DS, BT and DH.
It feels so good to run Noed when survivors just rush 5 gens in 4 minutes. I would keep it as it is. If the perk gets more popular they will start running small game and destroying totems, which will slow down the fastest meta we ever played.
-
One time a survivor said to my Trapper "10/10 traps".
Thats the only time this year they gave to me a good comment.

If you don't care about it, then why make a thread about it?
In the game's terms pipping means you played well, double pipping means you played really well. The fact that someone got a 4k, doesn't necessarily mean that they played well, thus a 4k doesn't guarantee a pip.
Because the fact that is not important to me doesn't mean I cannot criticize if the system can be improved.

Its so much hard for killers to pip than survivors.

4k - ing doesn't mean that you played well, same as way as escaping doesn't mean you played well.
Yep, but nobody is talking about playing well or not, I'm playing about geting 23k points, killing them all and not getting a pip.
It is just bc Im curious, as I said rank is not important at all for me, I prefer to farm points and prestige my chars.

@Grizzley_Hobo said:
I think the game should be able to tell if you are camping the hook or not. So if you hook someone and for whatever reason the survivors don't rescue them but you also don't camp the hook you should score points as if it's 3 hooks on that survivor. If the killer leaves the hooked survivor and somehow manages to keep all 3 other survivors occupied so they can't rescue their friend on the other side of the map he should be rewarded not punished.
I totally agree
@HectorBrando said:
Because the pip system rewards you for outplaying people of similar skill, if you played against a bunch of newcomers and stomped them to the ground you won, but you didnt really proved anything.
Its similar to putting Djokovic or Nadal against some guy who plays tenins on Sundays because he loves it, they will probably win but they didnt prove much, should that win give them points in the ATP ranking? (it shouldnt low their rank either).
How do you know if they were that bad or not. Is not like I'm like Federer* on this game or something.
-
Well I did 23k, didn't camp, just survivors were trying to rush gens and they didn't want to save teammates. I played Doctor so I used my power a lot and stuff...
I guess bc two of them died on the first hook I didn't get a pip.
-
Just because Otz performs well with him doesn't make Legion a top tier Killer. Just makes Otz a really good player.

I feel like “gen rush,” could be a million page thesis. I’ve had multiple killers complain about gen rush the past couple days even Though they chased me into a zone of the map with ZERO gens, and actually ran past survivors actually working on a gen mid chase but stayed on me...
Not my case tbh, if as a killer you chase someone that goes to a death zone you're not playing well as a Killer.
That is not incompatible with the fact that most games are super fast and gen progression when 2 people are working on the gen is too fast.
-
Noed is getting popularity this times.
I run small game and I get all the totems as survivor.
Not the most "meta" decision, but at least makes games more interesting than pressing M1 to just rush gens.
-
Gen Progresion is a problem and after devs do something about it I want to watch the reaction of those who say is not.
I'm sure games are faster than ever in 4 years in DbD, that doesn't mean that every game ends in a gen rush. Currently playing on red ranks as killer and survivor and there are 2 options: or the killer hard snowballs or 5 gens are done in 4 minutes.
In the second case, that pressure is too much for a lot of Killers so they are forced tu run noed, tunneling and even camping. They are forced too to play Nurse or Spirit.
Not the healthiest meta, but not the worst.
-
The problem is not Dead Hard, the problem is how fast gens are done.
Dead Hard is a pretty good perk, but the real issue is that it has the potential to extend the chases a bit longer (which allows you to go to the next loop), the time the killer looses because this perk makes even harder to fight the gen rush meta.
I would not nerf dead hard, I would nerf the gen progresion.
The only nerf I would do is not allowing Dead Hard to avoid bear traps.
-
The old ruind would be nice to have right now, considering how fast gens are done in this meta.
-
I agree instasaw was strong...but in a meta were everyone just gen rushes (don't even waste time healing up), having a killer that can instadown is valuable.
-
Fun? It might be. Competitive? Probably not.
