Rework keys yes, but nerf SWF no. Let’s be real most killers bring moris for SWF groups but IMO it’s stupid. (I main killer btw) you shouldn’t bring a an ebony Mori to be a a-hope to a group of friends that want to survive together.
I'm fine with friends playing together. The problem I have with SWF is when they bully and mock the Killer being extremely toxic.
-
There are 4 possible toxic players on the survivor side, and 1 on the killer side.
In my experience the toxicity borns on the survivor side, and then the killer as a reaction of that he might get toxic/dirty. I faced sometimes iris Huntress that literally said "tired of genrush + BM on the door so iris addon for you".
Only if survivors could notice this the community would be so much better.

moris are fine because keys and 4 man exists.
Pretty much this. Rework keys and nerf SWF and I'm ok with a mori rework.

DS is supposed to be there to avoid tunneling, so recent unhook survivors have another chance.
The reality: recent unhook survivors go just straight forward to your face and emote you, or go into a locker, because 60 seconds of inmortal. So basically is another tool to mock the killer.
-
If you destroy the survivors you'll black pip, I can guarantee that.
So you can't play at 100%, which means that the system is kinda broken.
-
Is kinda annoying because sometimes I like to change the killer after taking a look to the items, but lobby dodging is not bannable so...I guess is still fine.
-
I respect your opinion but Deathslinger is at least mid-high, in my opinion. Super strong 1v1.
For me the weakest is probably Pig, althought Legion and Wraith are not far away from her.
-
Dying Light - The obsession has also the debuff, plus the debuff is still there even if the obsession dies.
Mad Grit - While you're carrying a survivor, the other survivors have the Exposed status.
Spirit Fury - When is triggered the stun animation is canceled (like enduring).
Boil Over - Make the wiggle bar go faster.
Soul Survivor - Rework it. For every dead survivor you recieve a 7% buff in repair, healing and all other actions.
-
I said it plenty of times on this forums. You can avoid playing against 4 SWF if you dodge every game that 4 survivors pop at same time on the lobby. Play only games that they pop one by one, or two.

Dead Hard is not OP, it's the only tool survivors have to counter body blocking scenarios. Since we can't get two exits from the basement, I use Dead Hard for exactly that.
DS may be OP, I'm up for suggestions to make it better, maybe only activates after a harder circumstance is met?
I think the point is not DH being OP or not (spoiler, it is). Its the fact that as Killer you have to play around Dead Hard everytime you go for the second lunge, without knowing if there is any DH at all on his build. Same goes for DS, you have to slug and count to 60 without even knowing if he runs DS.
So basically the argument you have against BBQ applies to those perks too.
@stikyard said:
I'm baffled, if BBQ is so easily countered and doesn't disrupt the gameplay of every survivor, then why do I face it 85% of the time?
My loadout is typically... Dead Hard / Spine Chill / Lightweight / Borrowed time. If I have them.
Sometimes I try to run... Mettle of Man / Breakout / Dead Hard / Inner Strength. I usually don't get MoM to proc and I cheer for joy if Breakout actually helps!
Because this game needs an insane amount of hours to max all characters so having a perk that gives more bloodpoints is nice. Honestly I would say that that's the main reason players run BBQ (the aura effect is nice but bloodpoints are yummy).
-
If I find you I will show you that there is still some hope in this game. I embrace that attitude.
The only thing I have to say is that sometimes people forget that "gg" means good game. Probably some killers don't like to recieve a "gg" if the game was like 4 minutes and everyone escaped.
-
The game can't be scary if the killer is not strong enough. Nobody fears the killer except new players.
Except from Hag that is a jumpscare expert.
-
I only give hatch if the last one had good sporstmanship, like no tbagging, no flashlight spam click, no repairing on my face, etc...
Sadly is not something that is happening lately, I'm finding more toxicity than ever so...now I'm slugging the 3rd and going for 4k.
-
"BBQ is in the minds of every survivor, every game, whether the killer has it or not."
You mean like Dead Hard and Decisive Strike are in the minds of every killer, whether the survivor has it or not.
I'm a solo survivor and I usually hide on a locker when I see someone is downed. Imagine DS and DH being this easy to counter.
-
In good hands Nurse is the best, in fact she lacks of counterplay at all.
But not everyone is that good so...I would say Freddy. He is extremely easy to use and he has powers equivalent to 3 killers: teleport, multiple traps, terror radius reduction...jesus he is so annoying.
-
In a game there are 4 survivors and 1 killer, is easy to think that the toxicity borns on the survivor side, because there are 4 possible toxic players, against 1. In my experience, Killers tend to be "toxic" as a reaction of the survivors behaviour.

@Tricks said:
The longer the match runs the more experience points everyone earns including the killer. Experience points earns Iridescent Shards which buys non premium cosmetics / killers / survivors / perks. So by staying in the match longer Survivors are only helping the killer get all of these.
Can't believe that you are that much innocent that believes that survivors only do that for the good sake of the killer. You made me laugh at least.
-
Something has to be said about this eternal topic.
Just because a game ends with a 4k doesn't mean gen speed is fine. If the killer gets the 4k but 3 gens were done in minute and a half, something is wrong with the gen speed.
-
You can even blackpip with 4k, if you crush them all.
@Koukdw said:
Pip isn't based on kills it's based on hooks. If you kill 2 people first hook with noed at the end. well yeah you dont deserve to pip.
What about survivors killing themself on the hook? That should not punish the Killer.

why is it legit though but staying at gate to get more points or even help distract killer for other survivors still in match is considered toxic? You can still get a 4K even without slugging the 3rd.
both scenarios are totally valid and within the rules of the game. The difference is you want to do the one thing (that is pretty much mocking the one getting slugged) but you don’t want the other thing done to you (because in this case you are the one getting mocked)
We are talking about the situation where survivors have nothing more to do. Of course if there is someone hooked or there is still some objective in the game its totally legit to stay there.
I'm talking about the situation where, for example, 3 survivors escaped and the last one is standing there just to t-bag, flashlight click or something.
-
I guess its fine that you punish camping...
Until camping means "being around the hooked survivor" 2 seconds after you hooked him (and having 2 bold dwights running behind you to just use borrowed time in your face).
-
@Mooks said:
While we are at it, can we also respect survivors and just hook them instead for slugging for the 4K?
just kill me when I am second to last and on death hook. I don’t want to lie down and watch the killer patrol me (so unbreakable wouldn’t help) and the last surv crouching somewhere on the other end of the map.
Its a different story. Going for 4k is legit, waiting on the exit to just mock the killer is not at all.
I usually go to the basement or a corner and stay afk, while looking youtube or something. What survivors don't realise is that being toxic with the killer and trying to mock him will make some of them to go iris Huntress next game, and say "oooh so toxic!".
Surivors make killers to be toxic.
-
double post sorry
-
Gens are too fast for the health of the game. Yeah you can still win as a Killer but you have to play super flawless. By the time you down the first survivor you lost the first gen (had a game yesterday with Billy downing a survivor in less than 20 seconds and when I hooked him the first gen was already done, still won that match but holy moly.
My suggestion is to make gens go slower if you repair them while injured. Nobody heals because of dead hard so we can punish that without having to increase the normal speed progression.
-
The only thing I would change is disable DS when the survivor enters a locker. Its so bs when they get unhook and go inmediately to a locker.
-
By the time you down the first survivor, you lose 1 gen. Its something that happens in 99 of 100 games.
If you get rushed a lot, use Noed. Gives you a lot of value in the lategame.

I agree that we need a new mechanic like the Endgame Collapse, but for the beginning of the game. However, this video is not a good example to demonstrate gen speed. Anyone who does not use Corrupt Intervention should know that is a mistake to commit to chases with people who just hold w.
But isn't that a problem? I mean, if you need a DLC perk to be able to compete in most games...that is not a good design I would say.
I have the Plague, but I don't have corrupt in every single killer yet, so for example imagine I want to play Trapper but I don't have corrupt on him...I literally can't play trapper.
Yeah of course there are some perks that help killer on gens but that doesn't mean that gen speed is not a problem, bc actually it is. Yeah you can still 4k but that only means you played really well. Killer sided right now is unable to make a single mistake because you choose the wrong chase and the game is gone. Survivor side they have plenty of 2nd chance perks so mistakes are welcome.
-
Make a survivor unable to escape if they have a trap in their head.
-
But she actually makes a sound while she is on the phase...right? something like "shhhhhhhhhh"

I wouldn't even call it wasting time either. each dull totem is 1000 points.
Agree, most like "spent" time, not waste.
-
There is nothing wrong about Noed, and should stay as it is. It has counterplay if survivors instead of gen rushing waste a little bit of time on bones.
-
Thanks all for the answers.
Althought the new Technician seems to be OP (bc killers relay on sound) not all generators are checked by "sound", most of them are also checked by sight so this could have some play to repair like second floor gens without killer even noticing it, and it won't work if you are not doing the gen alone.
Furtive Chase maybe we could lower the numbers a bit, but still it has the condition to find the obsession, down him, hook him, etc...
-
A lot of killers are having issues with the gen rush / not enough "pressure", so most games go to late game. As long as gen rush is a thing, noed will be gaining popularity.
-
I prefer Discordance. Whispers sometimes it baits me to just overlook some corners because the perk is up which makes me lose some time.
Whispers is great in some situations althought, like lategame.
-
Its quite funny how some survivors say "gen rush is not a thing, I'm doing my job", then they complain about camping and tunneling. A bit childish.
Anyways, the fact that perks like Corrupt or Pop ar mandatory in every single killer in order to compete means that gen progression is kinda an issue, some players say "apply pressure" but if the gens are still poping fast while applying some pressure that's the problem (situation were you hook A, start chasing B, C is going for the safe and D is working on gens alone and they still pop super fast).
Sloppy is not a real slowdown perk, survivors work on gens while injured because dead hard.
-
Dodge all lobbies that you see 4 survivors poping at same time. They might not be SWF, but doing that you avoid them for sure.

There's just too many other ways to play around flashlights. Infectious Fright is such a good perk in general and will tell you if someone is close enough to get the save. But even without it, you can just take a peek around before you pick up. I've injured and even downed so many survivors waiting to flashlight save their friend that way. And when it comes to blinding at pallets and vaults, I prefer survivors do it, because I can usually hear where they're going anyhow and they've just made the distance they could have gotten from me even smaller.
Even with the buff, I still won't run it often.
Lightborn shines on chases, when you break a pallet, bc it gives you the chance to hit so you cand end chases. Is not really needed to avoid flashlight saves (althought is fine to have the security to grab without being annoyed).

I've been camped with no gens done. Trust me, it happens. XD
But also the threat of camping is enough on its own. If you don't have any gens done by the time the killer gets their first hook, why wouldn't they camp? The person on the hook will die before 5 gens can be completed by the 3 remaining people, even if they stay on gens the whole time and don't attempt saves.
Camping is strongest at the beginning of a match, compared to the end. The game is 4 v 1 because if even 1 survivor is taken out the equation, the match is pretty much over if you have nothing done. So while I understand the point you are trying to make, the threat of camping is always there and survivors have to get gens done quickly in order to not be stuck in an unwinnable game
I feel like camping is stronger in the endgame, as you said if you camp the first hook you'll lose all 5 gens.
But in any situation, borrowed time is used on every match so camping is not really an issue.

@Nurgling7 said:
Not sure how camping could come first when 3 gens pop before a hook even happens.

u are a camper tuneler? i dont approve that. its bad and if people do t bag just dont do attention. and if u hook a survivor as last and u camp u will lose points, bcs if u are too many time at the hung be no too much points at brutality. and its not good.
Who said I'm that? I play extremely fair to give survivors a good experience, I don't care about rank.
That doesn't mean that I have to say that "tunneling is bad", tunneling is the most efective strat to apply some pressure. If you follow everytime a diferent survivor you'll be gen rushed.
-
Claudette would win, with the survivor's rulebook for killers.
-
Facecamping actually doesn't exist.
About camping, its a bad strategy for the killer because he'll easily lose 5 gens while hard camping.
But we can't confuse that with Killer hooking a survivor and as soon as he turns around he sees two survivors using the "clickclick" flaslight thing, doing circles or moonwalking, staying there would not be camping and with this mechanic it would be awfull for the killer.
-
For Killer I would say Lightborn (even the old one). You can use walls to avoid flashlight save but what I love about Lightborn is when you break a pallet and they try to blind you, you won't and you'll hit them. That makes some chases shorter which is pretty valuable.
For Survivor, I would say Alert.

You won't know if it's a SWF in the first place unless they make it really obvious. Besides the issue with object is that when you see someone running it, you immediately assume it's an SWF and get tilted. And the information it gives even for a solo player is unmatched by any other perk in the game.
Well you cannot know for sure if they are SWF, but you can always dodge lobbies where all 4 survivors appear at same time.
-
You can always dodge the SWF lobbies. I think its not bannable (correct me if I'm wrong).
-
They are mandatory if you want to compete. Sure you can snowball some games without them, but overall you can't play against good survivors if you don't use them.
The problem with antiheal builds is that survivors don't heal at all. They rush gens even better with resilience, and they are confident off being injured cause dead hard, nobody wastes time healing up (except maybe against...Oni? but he is bugged now).
Corrupt intervention is a must in almost all killers, you can even see that on the good builds Otz recommend on youtube. Having those 2 minutes on early game is crucial. Pop is fine, but sometimes feels not that useful when they finish the gens before you get there, and Surge is super situational. Tremors requires you to hook and sometimes is a waste of time and is better to slug so is not that good. About ruin, the last 3 times I used ruin the totem got destroyed in 15 seconds so yeah.
Overall, they are needed, even more than the old ruin.

@wildcardyo said:
Game isnt balanced get used to getting rolled by players less skilled than you because until devs decide to fix the game, it is extremely survivor sided in experienced games. Sorry.
I think so even if survivors are saying that "never has been this easy to play killer". I cameback to the game a month ago after 2 years being out, and I remember I used to 4k like 15 times in a row with Billy.
Now it feels like they have so many tools to just ######### you and one single chase that you make a mistake you lose all gens. So you can't full commit as a Killer, so eventually you get bored of the role because the more fun thing "chases" are worthless.

Slugging. If you down a survivor then see another you should try and down them. Slugging is extremely strong and with perks like infectious it's even better.
Guarding particular gens in one area makes your late game extremely strong. The 3 gen strats are excellent.
So I should just camp 3 gens since the beginning? gonna try it.
Can try slug but is almost a guaranteed derank.
