How come Spirit is the only Killer without indication she's using her power?

Trapper - Bends over. Maps show traps. Traps can be disarmed.

Wraith - Audio queue. Has a Bell to announce he's there.

Hillbilly - Chainsaw rev

Nurse - Audio and visual queue. You can hear her charging her blink, and when she uses one

Hag - Bends over when setting a trap. Though hers as less indication for where it is, can still be seen with maps and flashlights. Still has 3 different audio queues, just less reactive

Doctor - Audio and Visual Queues. The shock sounds and his fists

Bubba - Chainsaw rev.

Deathslinger - You can hear whistle when he scopes

Plague - Literally looks like she's about to hurl before she does, along with audio queues before she vomits.

Ghostface - While is a stealth killer, and should obviously LACK indicators, still has audio queues

Mikey - Audio queues. Dundundundundun da dundundundun da dundundundun da dunnnnn

Pig - ROAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Another Audio Queue

Oni - also ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Clown: coughs

Demo: his face opens up

Freddy: Audio AND visual queues on both his traps and teleport.

Pyramid Head: You can see and hear his sword go into the ground

So now look at spirit,

Spirit: Nothing. No, her glass shards do not glow up when she's phasing. it's either a misconception or a bug, because that's not the case. There's no video proof of this either. No audio queues unless you're out of her terror radius, but doesn't matter when you're in her TR anyways.

So why is Spirit the only killer without indicators when EVERY. SINGLE. KILLER. does.

Comments

  • Even with indication she'd still be overpowered, so why even bother, right?

  • There are indicators. Crows flying away, grass moving and you can even hear the footsteps but they require more attention if we compare it to other killers.

  • Yeah! we need to make her body flash like a rainbow with brightly coloured foot prints detailing where she is during her phase. Also make her husk visible to all survivors map wide with a directional whoosh that is exceptionally easy to pinpoint.

Then just delete her from the game but refuse to give refunds like you did to nurse.

  • Mikey only has a cue AFTER he uses his power, not while. He used to have one, but his level up music doesn't really match with the rest of the that list.

As for Spirit, I think that's just a fair design choice to make her power less predictable. Arbitrary, maybe, but it's far less BS than how she used to not even have a vault animation "just because".

  • She stops moving and you hear a whoosh-ing sound.

  • I think it would be neat if they made her breath do the thing it did in the trailer, have a dramatic effect when she begins to phase. Could be cool.

  • That's how they intended one her being!

  • That's because that's her design...I'd figure that to be obvious

eh not usually I mean I haven't heard it when she stands still

someone give this guy a medal for this awesome balance change idea! Devs need to implement this.

As much as I agree there is actually visual proof of her shards glowing. Provided you're right next to her and can analyse everything frame by frame in under a second you'll be fine, just look at shards 6head.

Grass doesn't move, crows aren't spooked, and footsteps aren't just bugged for killers. On all maps but Swamp you can't hear footsteps and good luck hearing them over the chase music even on Swamp.

  • Maybe because a lot of people considered her low to mid tier when her phasing sound used to play even in her TR.

  • She stands still, and you get an audio que. Why do people not know this?

    She does disturb crows.

  • Simple. Because her power is information denial. Not having a que is the whole point.

  • you forgot Huntress :c

She does. Survivor players just haven't unconverted it yet and use it to their full potential.

Same can be said with wraith.

  • If wraith was visible then his power would indeed just be super speed yes.

  • That loud ass wooshing sound? (When your not in heartbeat radius)

She starts standing still a lil' to long?

Grass randomly moving, and crows flying away for no reason?

Good god what the hell could that all mean? God forbid you use your eyes, ears, and a little bit of forward thinking!

  • But she actually makes a sound while she is on the phase...right? something like "shhhhhhhhhh"

  • @VonCrow said:

When not in the terror radius yes.

My bad; in a chase around a tile though that hardly does anything for you, same if you're leaving with fixated or urban. Still can't hear footsteps nor even be sure she's phasing.

  • The best thing you can do when you see her stand still is to walk or run (depending on the situation) to the next loop.

  • She do its when she wants to, cause a lot of time she doesn't

And how many crows spawn close when you're in a chase? Literally never, they're always on the edge of the map

Whether crows are useful or not is irrelevant, a phasing Spirit will always disturb crows if she moves near them. I was just clarifying that point.
