You know if you get someone to heal you you're basically wasting a similar amount of time considering you're getting two people to stop working on objectives for 16 seconds

It's about the past events too. I have third year party streamers that are impossible to get now and I don't want to prestige to lose them. This game is either "be a collector or a completionist", you can't be both even though I want to be.
If you want get set a reliable friend so they can save it for you ( trade it to them in a trial whilst they equip a white Ward for Maximum Protection) afterwards
You prestige and then have them give it back to you whilst you use a white Ward ensure that you don't lose it.
To avoid having to do this repeatedly just wait until you hear prestige three before taking the item back

He was fine in season 1 but season 2 ruined him for me. Volatile ticking time bomb is never something I want to keep in my group especially one that could be afraid to everybody around them
Do I would much prefer if we got Lee or Clementine instead

@Volfawott you really sat and wrote an essay for this one huh, you sound really defensive you deffo slot the perk in with every killer you play. Those other perks are perfectly fine as they still give the survivor a chance, to insta down someone end game when there's barely any pallets left is a joker
Rancor is literally an instadown and a mori rolled into one. For obsession in question it could be worse than that no one escapes death in fact.
Also who cares if I run perk or don't, it doesn't change a single one of my points. In fact you blindly assuming my playstyle proves my point.
However did you just try to use the fact that I might use a perk as a way to discredit my argument. Darling, I don't even know what to say to that level of ignorance.
-
@claudetterealness said:
@Volfawott where did I say I want to have a debate about this? I said will it be changed or removed I've not asked for peoples opinion on the perk itself. I know a lot of people agree with me, it's only the killers who can't confirm kills who don't and some of them are really outing themselves in this thread hahaha
You do know that is one of the most entitled things I've ever heard.
They have been survivor mains on this forum who have repeatedly stated they don't have a problem with it.
Also without watching the game play of every single person in the entire player base which uses the perk you have no right to determine whether someone has enough skill to get killed or not if they use it.
By that logic anybody who uses any endgame perk is a no skilled champ who can't get kills.
Rancor
Blood warden
Remember me
All of these will fall into that bubble.
However someone who means killer can also say anybody who uses an exhaustion perk is a bad survivor who can't win a chase.
That is still incredibly ignorant logic.
-
Now I will the first to admit that the devs are always on your ball when it comes to balance changes.
Just look at the Howling grounds (no I will not let that go because it was an intentional change)
But strides have been made in a good Direction for balance and that's for both parties.
Survivors
Removal of insta moris.
Changing dying light to be less of a middle finger to The Obsession.
Ruin changes.
Endgame reverse bear traps vs endgame collapse ( this is a personal pet peeve of mine as it took away the second most entertaining aspect of pig but I can understand why it was done)
Nurse changes no more 7 blinks or Omega blink.
Remove the ability to do machine gun hatchet builds.
What a lot of people tend to forget is there's only so much they could do in terms of balance without completely tipping the scales in the wrong favour.
Most survivor means we'll bring up the massive influx of nerfs however a lot of these what done to come back problems that they should not have been in the game.
Balanced landing should not have been able to create influence.
Insta heals should not have been able to remove all the progress made in a chase.
Due to the maps layout it was way too easy to chain Loops and when I say way too easy I'm not even talking about for good survivors your average Meghead could do it.
Does Dead by daylight still have a lot of ground to cover before it hits a sweet spot of balance yes but the game has been more balanced than it ever was
-
So you don't want to discuss and you want an echo chamber.
If you're not going to listen to people put down any explanation of why no one escapes death may not be that bad then you don't want to discuss this you want to just have a bunch of people affirm your bias.
Is a little idea if you want that just discuss it between your friends

I encounter toxic survivors more not because I feel like there's a larger number of toxic survivors it's just generally in matches you run into more survivors and Killers
As a killer you have the possibility of running until 4 survivors. While playing killer you don't ever run into a toxic killer because well you are the Killer
As a survivor you have a chance of running into one toxic killer but also a chance of running into three toxic survivors playing with friends limits this number but you could still see the large majority you will encounter is toxic survivors and that simply because you running to survive as more frequently was playing survivor or killer

Like the others said, main both! I play a little bit of everyone, but I have my favorites.
If cosmetics are a factor though, and you really only want to main one, then I'd say Feng. Cheryl is a licensed character. She probably won't get too many updates in the future. Feng on the other hand gets all the cute stuff. However, if you're thinking of prestiging only one, I'd have to go with Cheryl. I really dislike Feng's default hair.
I main Min and even I can't stand her default hair. No matter what version.
1) Original default.
2) Prestige
3) purple version
4) anniversary crown
All share the same problem.
It looks so stiff that it just comes across like they stuck half a coconut on her head.
I hope when they implemented the graphic and model update they redesign her default hair and it's other versions a bit

There are some extremist who want to be considered at all cost. These annoy me. They are like the vegans who want to want to be like them,by telling me that I'm a murderer. Such people do more bad than good. And sadly they are the loudest.
There doesn't need to be a quota. But suddenly having many LGBT people everywhere only to appease is quite unrealistic. I can understand you want to be considered. I'm not asking you to "be quiet" or similar. Just.... try to see that some people really get annoyed when getting spammed with other people's needs.
What is your problem with characters not having a specified sexuality? For me Ace is gay. Period. Is is not written in his bio. For others he is hereo or bi or Trans. It doesn't matter.
Not to define the sexuality of characters is the best option, in my opinion. No one is insulted or forgotten because their gender/sexuality isn't included.
The point is a lot of his cosmetics outrights state that he's into women
This is the problem a lot of us have despite promising that sexuality was going to be left up to the player they have implied that several characters were heterosexual.
They made a statement apologizing for this and said they'll make an effort to be more inclusive and actually identify some LGBT characters.
Whether this statement was just to pander on not they at least acknowledged a problem I'm not a naive little kid so I can at least understand this some financial intent behind it.
Where was this complaint about how it doesn't belong when they mentioned David being straight where was best complaints about how it should be up to the players when they they made Frank and Julie straight.
Why is it only when someone wants representation in the LGBT community that it shouldn't be long and it's forced
-
Fair enough but if no one escapes Death Becomes like other hexes where it could be destroyed 15 seconds into the game starting then let it activate when the trial starts if you guys don't.
You want to destroy it super early you have to deal with it super early
-
You can main both.
When it comes to survivors I have Min Yui and Cheryl all prestige 3 with all the perks so it's not impossible to do
-
I got it expecting her to have a different voice and a lobby name so I'm a little disappointed by that but it's still nice.
I personally I'm a Silent Hill buff so I'm happy just having her

Meg is a ######### sexy beast.
Ugliest has to be....I don't know. I don't find any of the survivors ugly. Unattractive has to go to....I really can't decide.
I don't find any of them ugly, or hideous really.
I'm sorry but to me she has constant constipation face

I agree, its not a bad idea to create characters with these backgrounds.
But it is completely lazy and pandering to retcon a character and wedge in some gay lore because you were too lazy to create a story about a gay character from scratch.... like #########. Like if you wanna go and create a character around these groups don't be lazy.... Make it fresh, treat it with respect.
We have new characters come out of this game every 3 months...... and instead of making a character where its story and theme are full and incorporate its background, lazy pandering companies will just retcon. To either save face, or again...pander.
I like the way Riot Games handled it when they released some of their more "Brown" skinned humanoid characters because they created expansive lore around it so that the world and their existence made sense. Everybody loved it, because Riot didn't just make a black character to be "black" no....they created an entire world, lore, maps, backgrounds, history, protagonist and antagonist in their universe to incorporate their worlds "melenation" and it was brilliant.
When companies do these pandering attempts and wedge in marginalized groups just to save face you should be offended, because its lazy. They didn't actually care, it was just them carving a notch on their totem pole to say "HEY LOOK WE DID IT! WE HAVE A GAY CHARACTER TOO" "LOOK AT US LOOK AT US, GIVE US VIRTUE POINTS!" without them actually putting in the effort to actually create a character, arcs, and lore based around it. Its lazy....and I hate lazy. When Blizzard did it, it was shameful. You shouldn't take hand me downs and scraps as "Representation" its lazy and disrespectful. It'd be like playing dead by daylight and assuming there were no black characters, and instead of creating a black character, they just gave Meg a brown skin....its insulting...
You use the word retcon I don't think you know what that word means.
Let me break it down really slowly
If something hasn't been established yet it can't be retconned.
Feng Min's sexuality has not been revealed so confirming that she is lesbian bisexual, straight or whenever would not retcon any part of her character.
Using that logic literally anything new learnt about a character is a retcon
Claudette implied to have autism - retcon
Evan's former friendship the workers -retcon
Rin doing Kendo - retcon
Jane - quitting a degrading performance retcon
David having an ex-girlfriend - massive retcon
Do you see how mindless it is when you start using your logic to apply the word retcon.
For the love of god would you people stop using that word when you clearly don't know what it means.
Even if they added the fact that Min is a lesbian just to pander it's still wouldn't be a retcon.
-
Also please try to add some licenced crowns

I actually want to get a Merciless killer based on my skill and not based on how much I could tick an arbitrary checklist.
Same thing goes with adept I want the achievement to show that I'm proficient with the Killer not that I managed to tick all the boxes

I believe I've mentioned this in other discussion threads, but I have a problem with the challenges. I felt like they were getting too grindy and repetitive for too few fragments. Between the first and second tome I felt like the number of challenges that took too long to complete had grown.
But now they are so. Much. Worse.
Cleanse 8 totems. Repair 12 generators. Safely unhook 15 different survivors. Start a chase with 20 DIFFERENT survivors. Hook the obsession 15 times.
Each of these challenges takes hours to complete. Each one earns...3. Rift fragments.
Even playing perfect games, 20 different survivors means 5 games minimum, with the average match time being 15-20 minutes. And more often than not, you don't get 5 perfect games in a row. So you're probably looking at at least close to 3 hours of playtime. For 1/3 of a rift level.
And bhvr just opened the 4th level for this tome for us to find gems like this one: Destroy generators or pallets 50 times."
For, you guessed it, 3 rift fragments.
Oof. Good f*ing god.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7R3TYQ1AW9RP/1592867661137179736821158037430.jpg
I've gotten locked into a single challenge for days because I can't complete them. Things like needing to unhook, but the killer either camps or the surv's swf saves them instantly, or they kill themselves on the first hook, etc. With the wrong circumstances, it simply takes too long to complete these things.
I want to do the challenges. It should be fun to work toward rewards, especially now that all other events are gone. But it feels futile, because it takes so long just to grind through a single level; I hardly unlock anything before the rift closes.
Some of the more unique ones that are more skill/situational based can be fun, like staying near the killer without being spotted, or making each survivor scream at least once, or hitting 3 great checks in a match. But there's so few challenges like this, and half of them are locked behind dlc characters many people (myself included) don't own. And what's worse is when these ones are preceded by "Repair a total of 10 generators."
Would love to see the grind on the challenges drop, or the fragment rewards go up, or both. They have become a fun suck when I really want to earn a new cosmetic and I keep trying to complete an objective that takes 12 games.
I'm tired. Would love to hear whether others agree with me or not on this one. Starting to feel like I'm going crazy with some of these challenges.
Honestly I prefer challenges be really grindy than super conditional getting one match challenges.
When you could get in the course of No One gameplay the other you have to build a round and then still need a lot of luck on your side or you need your opponent's to play like absolute potatoes

They are just out to be dicks! Like when survivours would sabotage the Killers special hooks during Bar-be-que. Dicks!
I've been playing normally but I've always been letting the last person survive if they haven't found the Crown I usually just let them find it before they leave.
Well that's what I do no Killers actually obligated to give you a chance wow they shouldn't really be playing like douchebags but that's pretty much how the community works sadly

Is there any word on the deathgarden cosmetics considering it's unlikely that the game is probably going to come to console is there any chance that we could get it

Typically I will use self care if I have no one around to hear me or if the person around to heal me probably has something better they could be doing.
What a lot of people don't realise is that time wise it's a lot more efficient to power through the gen then heal (best scenario) or to let the person do the gen whilst you self care and then it is to have them heal you then go on the gen.
-
Sorry to be this guy but I don't exactly know where you plan on putting it on blast.

Its impossible to rescue someone safely when a Killer comes directly to their cage and refuses to leave. Getting a safe hook rescue is a luxury these days more survivors are not afforded.
Coming from somebody who plays both roles I could tell you this is not exactly as true as you make it out to seem.
There are a lot of survivors I have encountered both as a survivor and as a killer who will rush the hook just to get a save off only with borrowed time so they can protect their bloodpoints.
I have literally had times with the killer hooked me hasn't even been able to break the pallet next to me before someone has already pulled me of hook and in that situation I can't blame the killer for immediately tunneling me down.
Or a survivor who is in the middle of being chased decide that they want to go for a YOLO save.
Are there times with Killers put survivors in bad situations ? yes but acting like survivors are complete and utter angels who are never just douches to each other is completely ridiculous.
Often times it's a luxury service of frequently afford it some survivors just tend to ignore that for bloodpoints emblems or challenges
-
I see that slugging for the 4K boils down to 2 problems.
The emblem system: the emblem system can be severely punishing for Killers especially at red ranks. If you don't tick all the boxes it doesn't matter how skilled you were or how well you did you didn't hit an arbitrary amount of checklist points so you don't get a pip.
It being a reason why a large majority of Killers way to derank to do certain a depth not because play the killer in question is hard it's just extremely frustrating to get the double pip even if you do demolish the survivor team.
Hatch: Hatch is pretty much a pity mechanic it's the same to give somebody in a lost game a way out.
The problem is this leads to people who completely stop trying in certain situations and we'll just wait until the other party dies.
Meaning the game hits a very annoying standstill I'm sure we've all encountered the Hatch campers who don't do anything whilst you're trying your hardest to a least attempt to do gens.
-
All Killers lunge hitboxes the same for the most part I suggest you try not to base your concept on whether the head should hit or not based on the size of the weapon.
Freddy's Claw being the biggest controversy despite this he has the same lunge everybody else due to a combination of the weapon size, animation and general latency a lot of people tend to to think that he has some super long reach

That goes both ways. Give someone a tool that can be abused, and it will be abused by someone. Ethical or not.
Couldn't agree with this statement more as long as somebody has something that can be up be abused they will do it.
People who use decisive strike as a free way to pop generators, risky hook saves or anything like that something they would normally not do otherwise because they would be severely punished for such a stupid decision.
Some abuse no one escapes death as a free to camp and possibly get two free kills then use no one escapes death to clean off the rest.
If there is very little you can actually without severely crippling powers and perks to prevent people from abusing it even then I'm pretty sure there's someone out there who will find a workaround to abuse it

Honestly just blocking pyramid heads ability to see the cages and making it an add-on instead is a lot better.
Most of the time you send somebody to a cage you shouldn't immediately try to bullrush to the cage as pyramid head
-
Joey and Min
-
Honestly the stereotypes of pretty weird
Dwights are noobs
Megs are potatoes ( this one is valid)
Claudette are super immersed or super toxic there's no in-between
Jakes no clue
Nea are try hards
Ace yeah again no clue
Min are selfish ( ironic how it fits well with the lore)
Davids are farmers
Bills are super altruistic
Lauries no clue
Tapps are gen jockeys
Quentins are just happy to be there
Kate tends to be played by the degenerates (no offence that's not aimed you)
Adams don't exist
Jeff is Jesus
Jane same as Kate. sorry to you non weird Jane mains
Steve basically male megs
Nancy no clue
Yui team players
Zarnia no clue
Cheryl people who just want to play Lisa in peace or people who are glad they're not playing Lisa so they don't have to be subjected to what's going on
-
Anybody who accuses someone using no one escapes death as being a trash killer probably has the game sense of a potato.
No self care is not a noob perk the problem is is that people who use it obsessively for every heal have the common sense of house flies
-
Dude why are you complaining you did the challenges and you're almost done you literally have about 14 days to get 8 tiers.
You have a little bit under double the time.
-
Survivors
Cheryl:
Cosmetics that I can actually mix and match. She is my new secondary main when it comes to Survivor after all.
Definitely would like to see some legendaries for Cybil, Maria maybe even Cynthia, Eileen or Elle
Min
Any new cosmetic for my main girl is amazing. As much as I love her gaming themed one i find.
Her elegant and cute ones are always best her lunar New Year and her Bunny outfits come to mind
Also maybe a beach theme outfit especially considering summer
Killer
Amanda
It would be nice to get some Amanda cosmetics I really want her look from saw 1 when she was in the Trap. Her purple top skirt and stockings combo
The fur coat based off what Hoffman wore personally I don't want a Hoffman legendary but an outfit based on what he wore would be great.
Legion
Honestly just a maskless variant that's all I really want I feel like I missed out on a massive opportunity by having that as the archive outfit
Demi Logorgon
It just needs more looks the poor thing is pretty underrated when it comes to characters received cosmetics
-
Feng Min
Because she is the best also I relate to her had the same family issues and fear of letting people down.
-
Well I'm personally not very happy with him because of the Legion changes and the pig changes.
I can at least see that he's a somewhat trying.
However that doesn't excuse the travesty of the Howling grounds event yeah considering that was intentional I'm not letting it go.
I don't think he needs to be fired but he's seriously needs to review his balance policies
To use a funny analogy my friends normally use.
if we're in a car are driving across the road and all of us see a deer and tell you to stop but you keep telling us no don't worry it's just a cat sooner or later we're going to hit it and see if it's a deer or a cat.
A large majority of people have been making arguments that this is not a right decision to go in or that something needs addressing to which it seems to just get tossed aside saying it's fine. (Legion Pig Clown all come to mind) honestly at this stage a serious balancing review is in order
-
The thing about blindness is that it's a very nice status condition the only builds it tends to effectively working aura slugging builds.
You can't reliably bank on having survivors run aura reading perks or add-ons so your best option is to just take away the ability to see each other when they're downed.
This means if you don't like slugging there's not much blindness based builds that could be suggested to you.
I guess you could use blindness in conjunction with trails of torment but your overall better just using things like tinkerer or dark devotion if you want undetectable
-
As somebody who play pig and other stealth Killers I really do like indoor maps it really helps you with cover. Outdoor Maps tend to be a lot more open and a lot easier to spot you

Because forcing you to buy the entire set is more profitable.
But the consumers who are fed up with this aren't going to buy it.
But the point is in the grand scheme of things it's not more profitable.
A lot of the cosmetics gain traction because people like to mix and match.
With Cheryl's blonde green outfit I like every piece of it but I would like to mix and match it however with a black hair outfit I only really like the hair.
People in that situation I just simply not going to buy the black haired outfit so instead of the chance of somebody buying
The black hair - 300 cells
The other green top - 300 cells
Using her blood skirt
Now you're going to get people who just don't buy anything technically Konami is losing out on a lot more money
-

I really just want an old lady. Tired of over half of the female roster being in their teens and 20s.
I'm pretty sure Jane and Zarnia aren't in their 20s.
Claudette and Meg are collage age
Min is actually pretty young when you analyse it she was heavily in her early studies when she left was taken by the end of the roughly 4 years later
Yui hard to say
Nea is probably close to Min age
Nancy, Cheryl and Laurie that's because of licences there's not much you could do about that most horror movies, games and shows tend to use young adults especially for their female characters
-
People going to make complaints about how the killer is overpowered or underpowered when they haven't even been out for 4 days.
Did you also know that fish swim in the water, birds fly and the large majority of Meg mains are absolute potatoes
-
If she get some skins I really hope they are not linked.
I really like the both hairs from her green outfits can't exactly use them on anything else.
Because it was late I literally decided to get the blonde the green outfit because it was the one I at least the liked every piece of in comparison to the black hair the one which I only really like the hair.
I'm hoping they managed to find a workaround so they can revert it and make it unlinked or at the very least make sure any other cosmetics for her that come down the line are not linked
-
I think the trail of torment answer was a little bit ridiculous.
None of the perks that give undetectable give an indication of it.
Dark devotion doesn't ping everyone in the general area to let them know it's active.
Tinkerer doesn't make the gen vibrate
Beast of prey doesn't like The Killers aura
Insert insidious Bubba joke here
I don't get why trials of torment has to be the only undetectable perk that gives away it's location.
The survivors have never needed an indicator before so I don't know why they need an indicator now.
As for their explanation about mixing matching that doesn't really explain why you can't mix and match Cheryl's green cosmetics these are not legendary cosmetics so I don't see why they have to go as a set however the reason is most likely Konami said so I'm not going to fight that too much.
Overall I really do hope they go back and redesigned some of the old models. Every character from Kate onwards as well as the cosmetic store has proven that they have gotten better with with their model design I just wish they went back and share the same love with some of the older cosmetics and models.
Touching up all the things to bring them in line with the newer models and cosmetic designs for example Min's default hair so it doesn't look like a coconut got stuck on her head or Meg's braids so they're not so stiff and weird looking.
