Yeah i know. But still she can not contest againts Bubba, Spirit or Freddy. But i get your point :)
She sure does for me. She's my second least favorite after Doctor.

Quit? No.
Take a break? A few times. No particular event, addition or removal of something from the game itself. I just burn out on games and need a break at times.
Need to come up for ...oxygen.

Did for a while, right when BHVR reworked auras and made them virtually invisible for several weeks. It was just the last straw after a very long series of very buggy updates, and when the small pp build was at its absolute height. Just wasn't worth playing, wasn't fun.
Oh wow, those auras. That was one of the few times killers and survivors came together.
-
I don't mind the cap, what I do mind is how massive the grind is to warrant what little bloodpoints are made and to have three tiers for each perk, especially when adding 12 killer and 12-24 survivor perks each year. It's too much.

You can actually use Mindbreaker against Sprint Burst.
I wouldn't mind Dead Hard staying the way it is if there's at least a decent perk to counter it
How'd I forget Mindbreaker? That's a good one.
-
The design team is crushing it, but you just can't win 'em all. It would be nice to have it removed and to dial back the overheat mechanic, like DwarvenTavern said. I understand the reason for it and don't mind that at all, but it is a bit...overheated.

I have another one. Don't wait until I've run across the map to save you and then right before I reach you, you try to unhook yourself. If it works that one time (which I've had happen), then I've wasted my time and I think that's kind of selfish.
Eh... I see as a silly troll. Either way, you're right there for the heal.

so these powers counter a 150% speed boost for 3 seconds but don't counter a 1 metre dash? lol ok
clearly you just proved dead hard has so many counters, right?>
No, I was answering when you asked, specifically, about counters to sprint burst. I spake nothing about dead hard or intended for it to seem so.
-
Y'all just listing killers without saying what you would change.
Here's a classic one: Trapper - give him two (2) traps as base kit. The community has been asking for that for years.

Whats your counterplay to sprint burst exactly?
Blight, chainsaw bros, omega blink Nurse...... Huntress, Spirit, Clown, Myers/Ghostface (free stalk prep, they usually just run in a straight open line). I started the list with just a couple to have a chuckle, but then it started piling on.
-
No. First of all, the detection works about as well as pallets do.
-
What would be a game changer is to remove the third tier of perks. It once made sense to help drag out the leveling process when there were far fewer characters, but there are just too many perks now to have three tiers. They're adding 12 killer and 12-24 survivor perks each year; it adds up fast.
I say either that or increase the bloodpoint wages, it's not meeting inflation.
-
I suspect that would encourage more selfish play than help with the grind. What would be a game changer is to remove the third tier of perks. Truly, the solo queue experience (to include the SWF that has a solo queuer in the lobby) would be simple prompt bubbles. Things like, "Working on generator" or "Going for rescue" could really help balance out the disparity between SWF comms and lack of solo comms.
-
This solo queuer is part of the team.
What's that? I haven't been hooked? Get out of the way, fool, it's my turn! I run BT, Kindred, and will absolutely die to rescue at EGC. LIVE FOR ME!!
-
In order: Doctor, Hag, Spirit.
Doctor is cheap
Hag isn't talked enough about camping, she's the queen
Spirit because her counterplay is largely luck-based (did she phase? Am I walking away from her or into her? Is she going right or left? etc.)
-
Not sure if terrible trolling or gross entitlement....
-
Reading or not reading end game chat is on you, not the devs.
-
There isn't reason, anymore, for survivors to spawn on top of totems. BHVR has been working toward the right direction, it's just astonishing it's taken 4+ years.

I'll do you one better: silent while injured WITHOUT iron will. Had this personally happen the other day playing as Dwight. It was really bizarre.
Eventually I did start emitting sounds but for a big chunck of time I was a ninja.
Thank you for reaffirming the bug, with or without Iron Will.

Keys are pretty gross. I don't understand why that isn't seen as a pressing issue when changing moris again, when they currently don't even do anything, is somehow super important.
Oh, no, a llama hex?! That's rough; I feel for you.

Oh, yeah, they don't give a #########. That much is painfully evident.

Tru3talent is just all around wrong
-
Who the hell says killers are OP? Anyone that's played more than one month knows SWF is the power role. They're second only to RNG.
-
I'm 46 webs past level 50 on a killer and have yet to come across Whispers. The grind is just too much anymore.

@Tostapane said:
Title.
This perk is unhealthy for the game, it's literally "press a button for outplay the killer" and no, baiting it isn't a solution (it works only against bad players) since good loopers will use it to extend loops. Don't believe me? I can give you an example regarding how much broken (and unfair) this perk is:
- you can COMPLETELY counter certain killers (in trapper's case you can use his traps against him... Example:you trapped the shack, an injured survivor is running toward the entrance with the pallet from the inside, the window and the exit with the pallet are blocked by your traps, when suddenly a button "outplay" you completely and will also waste more of your time by forcing you to toggle the trap if you want to continue the chase)
- killers already must end chases quickly in order to get a decent amount of pressure (you can't be in 4 places at once, so you need at least 2 survivors always unable to do generators), this perk is overkill in that regard cause it will deny it (you outplay a survivor, but he dead hard toward the pallet, which allows him to throw it, which allows him to reach a window, which allows him to etc etc...)
I would gladly rework it like the other exhaustion perks (idk, maybe if you blind the killer you will have a speed boost of 150%ms for 3 seconds)
Thoughts about it?
I didn't read the whole thing, I just got "blahzy blah I don't like Dead Hard"
How often do you use Dead Hard? With those uses, how often does it even work?

Thank you, but why? Use 'em up, the grind is hard enough. Good god, there are so many perks with three tiers each....

He has 2 pink add-ons, one that makes his chainsaw sprint silent after a few seconds, and one that makes him undetectable after chainsaw sprinting a few seconds. Then there's also the super meme (green?) add-on that makes his terror radius lower when he's overheated. The killer could also be using a perk to be Undetectable.
There were no addons, is the thing. And, playing Billy myself, his chainsaw starts idling after his charge begins. It leaves me thinking Billy is undetectable after a second of sprinting with his chainsaw.
-
@ALostPuppy said:
Only with an add-on, but his chainsaw can go really quiet and not produce the sounds during a sprint. Happens almost 100% of the time with engravings.
I honestly prefer this bug tbh, the new chainsaw sounds are terrible anyway.
Look at what you just said, would you?
"Only with an addon, but his chainsaw can go really quiet during a sprint." Jesus....

Nah, can't change your mind here. It's kind of a busted perk, overly oppressive on Blight and Freddy.
Overly oppressive on Freddy? How? You see him teleporting for seconds enough to crouch in a bush.

It's Behaviour, who knows? They're a janky group.

@Shirtless_Myers said:
Just give all characters available tier-one perks off the bat and allow them to level them up via the blood web in the same manner we have now.

They keep talking about making the game a nice place for newcomers, especially people coming to check out the RE stuff, but I think honestly what's gonna turn most people off the game is the grind. I've had the game since 2016 (granted, I took a year and some change off from playing it) and I STILL don't have even a THIRD of the junk there is to unlock on everyone. I'm too far gone to let my efforts go to waste, so grind I must, but no way in hell is any newbie gonna see all the bloodpoint cranking out that's required to even have a decent chance in the game and be like "Ah yes, a delightful way to spend my time". Just no. Just 86 the tiers and maybe do something where you can 'sell' your bloodweb purchases back for a fraction of the price (would help me feel decluttered if I got rid of the offerings & stuff I know I'll never use, too).
That's long been a suggestion: sell back what you don't use. Even at a quarter of the original cost.

1 or 2. Dont remember exactly.
Its not just the hook phase to account for, they had to find the survivor, chase them hook them then find another survivor. Thats a lot of time
Indeed, you just had made it sound like y'all completed four gens in that one hook phase is all. I sometimes get a bit pedantic :-p
-
What could significantly help with survivor communication, particularly for we solo queuers, is having prompts that show up by the survivor icon. Things like "Going for rescue" or "Working on generator" or "Heal me" and so forth.
-
What gets under my skin is when SWFs neglect the rando like they're not a part of the team
-
Not this solo queuer, I do my part and will, without question, sacrifice myself to rescue a hooked gamer during end game. LIVE FOR ME!!!

@tippy2k2 said:
I've had games where I and my fellow survivors just gelled like SWF (maybe they were SWF and I was the only solo or all were solo). If I were killer, I'd assume we were SWF (like the time myself and another survivor sabo'ed two hooks around the killer, forcing them to dump the downed man; you'd never convince me if I were the killer that that happened by pure chance :D)
Unfortunately that isn't something that happens often as you need other solos who REALLY know what they're doing and are also willing to do things for the team, even if it's to their detriment. It's just not something you run into very often as a solo player.
I infrequently SWF and I know very well that feeling when solo queueing and the team gels. It's amazing.

When I play survivor I play almost exclusively solo. Yes they do sometimes make silly decisions but not the same level of stupidity as lower ranks. Usually the bad decisions at high ranks are born out of cockiness instead of just inexperience. Like i almost never see someone get to 2nd stage on their first hook. The one time ive seen that happen in the last month we were legit gen rushing the crap out of this spirit and he was hooked in basement. Had 4 gens done by the time he hit 2nd stage and she got her 2nd hit. At low ranks you might sit on hook through all 3 stages and no gens get done. Theres a massive difference there. Its way more likely that a survivor will get to cocky cause they assume that the killer will assume they have bt or overestimate their ability to body block. Theres the occasional potato in reds but thats rarer than people make it out to be.
As for solo que being fine, I think it is for the most part, just depends on the iq level of your teammates 🤷♂️
How many gens did you have done before they were hooked? Completing four gens, with three survivors, from 0-100%, in one hook phase is impossible.
-
What do you mean? You're looking at what it is and does :-p
-
We all call them by nicknames unless you're using their actual name
Herman - Doctor
Sally - Nurse
Evan - Trapper

The problem is when you do that and gens still pop ultra fast.
Sadly the meta right now forces you to slow the game as much as posible, so Ruin is mandatory. For me PGTW is bad because most of the times the moment you reach the generator, is finished (it is pretty good though in a 3 gen situation).
I don't think they're slowing the gen speed so...maybe survivors should always spawn together, so there is no chance of 3 gens being done at same time.
Indeed, spawn locations are an issue, especially the large maps.

Again, if you rely on opponents mistake, that's not a counter. How many times do you see Legion missing a hit? It's mostly potatos, if you play in red ranks, you can't rely on it. Any killer power needs a least SOME kind of counter, that's the basic principle of any game.
Meanwhile, killers all but rely on survivor mistakes to get ahead.
-
This is just asinine. Thank you for further displaying the utter power role of SWF and, when push come shove, killer can do literally nothing.
