Maybe. It isn't impossible to get rid of the combo, but it is still difficult to manage in solo queue. I feel like it does just a lil bit too much. I would take off the tracking it has so that H:TOTH is useful again.
If you take of the tracking then why shouldn’t killers use ruin pop combo, pop will last at least. Lately I was thinking a lot if it worth to run this combo at all. Most of my games find undying first and i typically have to play the game with two perks

It's a matter of getting used to a certain killer.
I played on ps4, now on ps5 but with the ps4 game, and never had this much issues.
I agree with you, even tho it’s hard to get used to certain lags. Did you use ps4 base model?

Maybe it would be nice if there would be two clock spawn to wake up

A Hag I went against today was able to place Traps in the Basement. At least I assume that is the reason why one of my teammates got grabbed there and the other one downed there right after the Unhook (which was the third stack of Devour Hope, so she had to teleport at this point).
This was on Pale Rose.
Maybe it is an issue on the reworked maps?
I experienced it on multiple maps, today it was on Ormond. Maybe one of the addons are bugged. I don’t know, but I gladly upload a clip regarding issue
-
I think so too, today i tried to play Hag but i couldnt place my traps. Like only the 30 % of it. Especially around windows, door, pallets. It made him unplayable. I got video as well about it so I might submit a ticket to the devs.

I think Deadzones are pretty similar to infinites there are tiles where you won't go in a chase as a killer. If there wouldn't be deadzone then survivors wouldn't to think ahead where to go, plan a route etc. As survivor it annoys me if there isn't deadzone sometimes, but I know i take a risk by staying at that zone. I know if I work in that generator then I need to be cautious.

i just dont have time to stream.. the streamers i watch never use slowdown or strong addons and focus on the chase a lot more.. so they play exactly like me but they actually have the time to stream.. i dont have any other way of providing evidence and honestly if you think im a liar then i dont see how that affects me.. i dont have to prove anything or even respond.. but sure if you think im lying then go for it.. at the end of the day im still gonna play dbd and still play the way i always do.. the claims arent even that bold, they are just "i think i can rely on my own skill instead of get perks to hold my hand"
Sure... still just vague words. But whatever man if you feel better saying it. I'm glad you enjoy playing killer and I wish you many kills in your next games.

I'm just saying, you make bold claims that it's easy to play killer, when I ask you to provide evidences to prove your statements, you advise me to watch other streamers, because they play similar way. I didn't say you are liar, just hard to believe to you without supporting evidences.

It's not the same sorry...You sounded like if I say I can beat anyone in 1 on 1 in basketball, but I'm too shy to show so go and watch some Michael Jordan highlights cause we play the same.

Sorry, but I'm not going to do a gen in a killers face so he can down me for free. Of he wanted to chase us he could have.
Sounds like a sweaty SWF. So your team apparently made a mistake by letting 3 gen and you say giving free kill to the killer? I guess you T-bagged the killer to make him chase you.

No bloodlust just made survivors more cocky and toxic...
-
@Dennis_van_eijk said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1767293#Comment_1767293
Well actually no, it stays the same for them tbh.
All it did when dropping pallets was getting rid of bloodlust.
So it will most likely stay the same for them and not getting easier.
Other than running in a straith line in the open vs a 110% killer 😉
I play on ps4 as well and you just need to identify which loops you need no leave and which you need to brute force
But I’m saying if you go around a pallet instead of breaking then the survivor has more time to get to the other pallet or loop. There is no such a thing as one side impacted negatively then the otherside don’t enjoy the benefit.
-
People forget you are playing on ps4. Since bloodlust gone, if killers make a mistake they are screwed.... Many people say that bloodlust carries bad killers, how about bad survivors who just drop pallet and run... isn’t it easier for them now?
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1767257#Comment_1767257
I mean, if you are now having bad games, you will derank anyway. This means, without Bloodlust (just a reminder - it is still a Test) you will be in Ranks where you would belong, so you would have easier games at this point. Or, with MMR (when it releases and is working) you will get Survivors with a similar MMR.
So if anything, Killers who are too high ranked currently will go to Ranks where they belong, instead of carried by a mechanic which is mostly not needed anymore.
But the problem is that until you de-rank it will be a nightmare.... And I don’t believe in the MMR its been a very long time they disabled... it won’t come back anytime soon. I don’t wanna play 20 plus terrible games from rank 3 till I get to the place I belong.
-
Most of ttv players are cocky. I do Twitch stream too but i wouldn’t play toxic in order to gain audience...

Perks for Blight didn’t seem to work for both matches I played. One round as killer, one as survivor. Saw zero auras near totems. Nobody screamed or got exposed working on gens. People that got hit are still able to throw pallets immediately after.
I tried the one which block palletts and the insta down if they touch the kicked gen, both seemed to worked. Tho i don’t remember if the survivor screamed or not

And I think getting upset about teabagging is unnecessary. Like, you get upset because another player is spamming his Crouch-Button. Especially with a new Killer, it is whatever. Ofcourse OP will not do well, nobody will do, the Killer is brand-new. So he should care even less if a Survivor feels like he is dominating the Killer, because OP should know that the Survivor is not doing anything special.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/188522/how-would-you-buff-soloq
I wouldn't. It is too complex a system to ever reach an equitable balance. The two ques have to be separated. That way the SWF que can have its 5th Perk (Comms) balanced by requiring them an extra generator to power the gates, and/or a 5th Perk unlocked for the Killer. This problem will NEVER be fixed by power creep. Increasing the Solos to try and make them as strong as the already overpowered SWF is the opposite of a solution.
I agree with you. If we buff solos the game will lose it’s essence. If you put together 4 good solo players they can still beat the killer easily.
-
Typically I have to wait as a killer during the day a lot like 8-10 minutes

@Chromeskull said:
I have this as well, I think it is just connection issues, on your screen you grab them, but on their screen they got away first.
Is it possible the connection issue is from the survivor side?

@MojoTheFabulous said:
Because the devs aren't consistent. Take Trail Of Torment for example, the perk that gives you the undetectable status after kicking a generator. Seems decent but it turns out it has a cooldown and also reveals the generator you kicked to the survivors. Now compare that to Tinkerer which gives you Undetectable when a generator is at 70% progression. That perk has no cooldown and gives no warning at all to the survivors.
Nice observation, totally fair

I knew I wasnt the only one. As a console Killer main crossplay is terrible. I dont know if PC players are skill-wise on a different level, or if its the disadvantages like framerate and so on, but I dont think I 4ked a single match against PC-only Survivors. I didnt conside myself a bad killer, but my games resemble what its like for me to play against a baby-killer. Then theres the fact that you cant even switch killers when you see a probable 4man swf with Steam names, because even though MMR is disabled the killer still locks when starting to queue. I dont want to play my Wraith or Legion against those survivors, I know I probably dont have a chance but im forced to play the Killer I selected pre lobby. At this point I'd gladly depip, but even when completely destroyed dont always loose a pip.
I know this probably just sounds like a whiny rant, which it kinda is, but I just had to type this out somewhere. I just didnt enjoy a single game against pc, neither did I feel like I had a fair chance of winning. I also know I can disable crossplay, which I might but honestly I think im too stubborn for that, so either I'll get used to this, swap to survivor more often or just wont play at all
Yeah I still didn’t disable it, tho waiting time isn’t great. I’m trying to get better and hope for the new MMR

Another big difference between pyramid heads ranged attack and demos shred is that pyramid heads attack actually has a significant travel time. Shred is almost instantaneous. In my opinion though adding deep wounds won't accomplish anything really. I'd rather not have another character reliant on such a bad mechanic. It could help him a little bit with game delay, but it's honestly not that hard to land and could end up being a bit too much.
I think instead they should get rid of the global teleport sound and make rat liver base kit. They also need to rework his add-ons to be more in line with plague and doctor. Almost all of his add-ons only have to do with portals and are practically useless. Also wouldn't mind if they nerfed the sound of his big interdimensional feet so that he can actually utilize undetectable or at least give it a smaller sound radius. I think they could also give him a similar add on to the one that Billy has that allows him to chainsaw straight through pallets and keep going (I was originally thinking it could be base-kit but it would probably be too powerful and would be better suited as an add-on). Another buff would be to allow him to teleport anywhere to any portal without without having to put one down first, kind of like Hag and her mint rag.
I think any kind of combination of those buffs would help Demo a lot.
I like your ideas, also the aura read (when you charge the shred) should work on all portal whether it’s active or not in my opinion.

I WISH Ruin was a 1-2 minute perk half the time. Just played a game -- on Yamaoka (where you would hope, in theory, there would be good spawn locations for totems) -- and Ruin was destroyed 27 seconds into the game. With the cleansing time being 12 seconds (I think?), that means the survivor who cleansed it must have literally spawned looking dead at it. This is on the heels of my preceding match (last night) where Ruin was gone in literally the same amount of time.
Playing both sides, there's seemingly no middle ground. Either the totem spawns in some ridiculous-to-find spot and lasts forever (which can sometimes be a game-breaker, but other times, if someone else is simply in a chase, you can work around it on your gen as if it doesn't exist) or it's so in the wide-open (with a spawning survivor staring at it), that it's gone before it ever had a chance to work. My experience (as both survivor and killer) is that it's far too much of the latter, and not enough of the former. Maybe the Upcoming Undying might give it some of its teeth back, but that's still going to be two perks to essentially make one even usable a huge majority of the time.
Yeah unfortunately ruin is not as useful. For me 4 times out of 5 gets destroy early. And as you mentioned if you can’t chase off survivors from the gens, then it’s useless.

I also think that regressing the exits gates will also enrich the survivor experience as well. Right now end game plays out the same way, killer has no choice but to down and camp the unlucky survivor.
Remaining survivors 99 the gates and go on a rescue mission. If successful they body block the killer until they get to the exit, one tap and they are free. If not successful then that survivor is getting facecamped till death which probably doesn't feel too good either.
With regression there is a risk/reward factor for survivors and the choice to 99 a gate could backfire which creates tense gameplay. Also the killer will have more of a choice to chase another survivor and not be forced to camp since that survivor can't run to the exit and insta open the gates.
I think all around it will be a more positive experience for both sides.
I absolutely agree with you. Maybe the regression could be disabled when only one survivor left.

I think op has the right idea but conveyed it wrong. Sure the egc isn't used for pressure but the killer should be able to pressure doors...which they currently can not.
The issue is that the killer has to camp the last hook. I cannot go and open the exit gate and also be at the hook. Many many survivors get cocky at the end, cause they know you can’t do anything since they will bodyblock and it’s kinda free escape. Of course if NOED comes into the picture then they complain. But regressing exit gates would solve this issue in my opinion.

No the survivor should never be able to 1v1 the killer in an asymmetrical game lol however, I do think that in regards to survivor objectives that it’s fine the way it is. Gens don’t need to be slower otherwise the killer is going to pummel his/her opponent every time. Survivors can die really fast as well. And it’s up to the killer to have great attention to detail and map knowledge to apply pressure. I don’t think it’s fair all 4 should die while the killer is given more time to watch someone die on a hook or tunnel Mori survivors off of hooks. It’s just too easy that way and you’re giving killers a free pass at that point without having to work for the kills. Killing a survivor should be a big deal in this game because it really does slow the game down by crippling the survivor team. but instead this game is known for getting caught being an inevitable happening and dying tends to happen way too fast quite often in my opinion.
Mori isn’t as common as you stated above. You say killing shouldn’t be easy, then gens shouldn’t be easy neither. If you do the math you will understand a chase cannot be 40 sec. It’s impossible for the killer to win, if chases are long. Especially if the killer is low mobility.

The 1v1 is the ONLY part of the game for the survivor where they interact with the killer. You have to make it fun for them and the killer
Would you mind defining fun? Is it longer chase? Or maybe certain movement?

I play killer (spirit, hag and legion) and I apply great map pressure and I get 4ks. If you stick on one survivor for 3 gens you are the problem. If a survivor runs you around for 3 gens without being downed (they already nerfed maps and pallet spawns), you are the problem, if you let gens fly by, you are the problem. Take accountability, learn from your mistakes, adapt and try new perks. Stop blaming every other aspect of the game.
Would u mind broadcasting live ? I would gladly learn from you
-
@mostlyghostly said:
It's really just a selfish argument. You have to remember that the only fun part of the game for the survivors is the interaction with the killer. It's bad for the health of the game if the deathslinger is able to kill the survivor with no real counterplay.
The biggest issue is that the counters to deathslinger are just general or situational really. 'Split up and do gens'. 'Find long wall loops'
I think every killer in the game needs to have a balanced 1v1, so that the survivor can get away if they outplay the killer, but the killer can kill the survivor if they outplay them. I then think the killer needs some sort of movement or pressure ability, because the game will just go by too fast otherwise. Hillbilly is a PERFECT example of this. He has a strong movement ability and good potential to instadown. Deathslinger is way to strong in the 1v1 but too weak in the 1v4.
TLDR: Killers should have their power equally strong in the 1v1 and the 1v4, not too strong in the 1v1 and too weak in the 1v4 like DS.
This game is not a 1 vs 1 game, it’s 4 vs 1. If you can easily counter a killer, then the killer won’t have a chance to win. Deathslinger creates pressure by quickdowns. Even tho that’s usually not enough.
