You're missing my point. Yes they are both seen as BM and toxic, but camping literally ruins a survivor's match, it actively prevents someone from engaging in normal gameplay. Whereas, t-bagging does not do this. That's the main reason that there is way more of a focus on stopping camping rather than t-bagging.

This is also why t-bagging is not really a problem at all.

Camping has given value for the killer. T-bagging at the exit gate has no given value, it’s equal with killer hitting survivor on his/her death hook. So don’t compare the two, cause they are different.

I learned early. I play on console and have my settings so I can only receive messages from friends, and I ignore friend requests that come in while playing DBD. It's a lonely but largely stress free life, lol.

Same here, never received personal messages for multiplayer before. Then I start to play DBD and all sudden my inbox was full of messages.

No no no, people on DBD really seem to have gotten toxicity confused with BM or rudeness.

Merriam-webster: 3. extremely harsh, malicious or harmful... this is the definition of toxic in this context. That would be referring to, you know, endgame chat stuff/personal attacks/twitch brigades etc. Teabagging? Does that sound extremely harsh, malicious or harmful? Same goes for hitting on hook, sure can be feel a lil rude but toxic is reaching so far it's not even funny. The term toxic is thrown around so willy nilly here it's mind numbing

Let me ask a question. Showing my middle finger when an elevator door closes is a rude or a toxic action?

For me rudeness is just kinda being grumpy, toxic is purposefully go and annoy someone to get under his/her skin.

Also, if I would create a post saying T-bagging is rude. People would justify it regardless, doesn’t matter how you define it.

Do you think if the devs would create popping up text bubbles with cursed words wouldn’t the T-baggers use those instead?

  • I think they cannot implement a proper MMR system, because there aren’t enough killers. It’s easier to get higher skill with survivor, than over 25 killers.

Mastering and learning a killer takes time, in case of some killers you can use the same foundation, but powerwise even an addon change can mess up timing, muscle memory.

There is a sweatfest because simply there arent as many high skill killer compared to the amount of survivors. That’s why you can increase your MMR quicker as a killer than as a survivor. This is why when we tested first the MMR certain streamers waited hours to find a game, so they couldn’t implement that version of MMR.

It's okay, but you also need to know when Deadlock blocks a gen ruin will not regress that gen so the combo can hurt ruin regression

I know, my issue with dreadlock that by the time I get there maybe my Pop gets expired. Ruin can be good if survivors don’t stay around, so the gen can regress after dreadlock.

  • Ruin Undying Corrupt Deadlock would be good all 4 together?

  • @WARW0LF said:

or you could not be a baby snowflake with fragile feelings, that also works, because the world doesn't conform around you in order to protect you, you have to grow up at some point, getting tbagged is a literal non issue, camping affects the game, two completely unrelated subjects

this community has watered down what toxic means, tbags are defo NOT toxic in anyway, you lost, they celebrate, who the F cares, boohoo, tbags are a thing in any online game with a crouch key going back since the dawn of crouching, camping is also NOT toxic, it's part of the game, scummy as it is, using any perk or add on or item is NOT toxic, thats just playing the game

toxic is being rude in chat, toxic is being racist or bigotted, toxic is cheating/hacking, if someone tbags is enough to trigger you, then i suggest you never go out into the real world because your fragile feelings will shatter very quick

So it means I can hit the survivor on a hook and I can t-bag with ghost face it won’t be toxic.

The issue with this mentality that it’s all about bragging, and t-bagging is toxic. I have never seen people T-bagging in the open field against a T3 Myers or Bubba.

    Why?

  • Is NOED that common? i see it 1-2 times per 10 games

  • @TWiXT said:

It's also absolutely broken on Plague, or at least it would be if survivors weren't suddenly interested in locating totems (gee, I wonder what changed?), still, while it lasts it makes her a VERY punishing killer.

Why you ask? Because once a survivor reaches full infection and becomes injured/broken, Blood Favor activates! Pair that with the fact that Plague is the only killer who doesn't give survivors a sprint burst when dropping them a health state with her power (unless using corrupt purge), and you've got one hell of a golden synergy! My jaw freaking dropped the first time I saw this happen, and I haven't had the heart to take it off of her since.

I didn’t know about this. I tried it on Pinhead with the iri addon, like from distance shot, but this is a good idea.

Amen !!!!!!!!! give this person 1 million likes please, but yeah you know because killers still do not realize having high movement speed, crazy hit boxes, blood trails, scratch marks and crazy perks and instant downs are not ways to counter dead hard easily

You should play killer on high MMR and then come back.

Many Killers are just not that great when they are without gen regression perks. Using these perks prolongs the game.

Many Survivors are just not that great without Items to enhance their plays. Using these items shortens the game.

Many Killers are just not that great when they are without tracking perks. Using these perks aids finding Survivors easier with little to no effort.

See how pointless it starts sounding?

As I mentioned it’s a personal observation. I just think it has a direct impact to my game experience.

Maybe you are right, I have no clue whats the current usage ratio of DH.

you want survivors to adapt to something what is not possible, tell me how can the human brain react to something within mil seconds? thats not how the brain works we are not robots.

you sound like a entitled killer main who never played the other role gosh.

do you complain about the huge hitbox of survivors?

do you complain about the dedicated servers and how they give free hits?

do you complain about dead ends on some maps?

do you complain about exit gates standind next to each other so you can just watch both as killer?

do you complain about anything what survivors have to deal with? sure you dont.

do everyone a favor, stop playing killer for a week and jump into the survivor role and lets met again.

unlike you i play both sides and know the problems for both sides and will defend both of them and in this case deathslingers nerf is justified.

get used to it or go play a killer who doesnt require any braincells, timing or whatever its obvious that the new Slinger is nothing for you.

    see ya

    Are you serious?

  • What I don't understand is that why they have to nerf something to the ground. They have increased his aiming....ok. But why they have to touch the terror radius too? Couldn't they wait a bit to see how he performs...

Many feel the same, be it for strangers or other languages or the true isolated experience. But many also dread solo queue teammates, and it is clear SWF will not be altered.

Perhaps the idea of expanding on the emotes I've seen suggested, beyond pointing and such, adding pre-recorded stuff like "I'm healing" or "killer left me".

I really don't know the best solution.

Actually emotes is a cool idea, but I think it should work in a certain proximity. Otherwise it will kill stealth killers, and stealth perks, I really love when a killer is using a perk which force me to guess. Actually I do enjoy solo my only problem is with teammates who are hiding during the whole match. SWF kinda killer stealth killer which is kinda disappointing cause I would love if this game would have a scare factor again. I think Friday 13th gave a better vibe back then in this sense.

  • @JPLongstreet said:

The consensus seems to be to somehow get solos more coordination possibilities, more comms bqsically, and rebalance killers around that new state of affairs. Highly debatable how that miracle can be achieved.

It’s not possible, if they enable voice comms, i will turn it off. I don’t want to talk to strangers.

  • @adirgeforthedead said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2562547#Comment_2562547

This is the major issue. I play tend to play in SWF, but rarely on comms. And even with comms we are mostly joking and having fun and not acting like we are some military squad looking to decimate the other player. We die probably in a roughly 6 out of 10 games we play.

There is no way BHVR can monitor how people play when they play together and effectively nuking SWF will probably do more harm than good in a game like this.

If y’all playing for fun then i guess it doesn’t matter this limitation. When i play with my friends and we want to win (min 3 escapes), we bring metaperks and map. Obviously cause those perks are giving advantage.

  • Huntress Lullaby: 3 stacks instead of 5 stacks so it would be easier to gain value. The 6 % regression penalty should stay even if the survivors cleaned the totem.

Surge: i would either increase the radius or decrease the radius.

Penance: it would give broken and exhausted and mangled status effect

Unnerving presence: it would also give reverse skill check

Dark devotion: i would remove the obsession requirement, i would add 90 sec cool down.

I've tried but most of the people I've met on the DBD discord were kids, sexist jerks or toxic so I'm not in a rush to try again.

If the devs have no desire to do anything about the frustrations of solo queue I would honestly prefer to play either killer, or something else entirely.

I would recommend to play killer. Even tho you will end up playing survivor when you want to have a chill game.

  • As survivor I use different builds, sometimes gen rush build, sometime quicker healing build, sometimes hiding build.

Killer wise it’s way harder to play without meta, you will get destroyed. Fun fact I tried all chase build demo with spirit fury+endurance+ the two chase totem. It was surprisingly effective

Crazy that this still needs to be explained. Just because something doesn't annoy you or hurt your feelings, doesn't mean that the action isn't meant to be foul to begin with, it just means you've adjusted to it. I really wonder if people who peddle that opinion are genuinely incapable of comprehending such a simple concept, or if they're just trying to cope.

Probably these people who justify it are the survivors who are doing it. I find it pathetic when someone do it. Today all my games were full of t-baggers. Awesome killer experience

  • I'm pretty much agree with you. Most of the time I get destroyed and I get sweaty games. I tried to play with Huntress on PS4 (I barely play her) and I got sweaty survivors.

It seems like the skill of the survivors I get really depends on the part of the day, I play. While we had the rank system I got the more challenging survivors during the day. Since the MMR went live I get sweaty survivors during evening time.

I can only win, if I tunnel or if I bring a specific map which is beneficial for that particular killer. E.g Impossible skill check doctor on an indoor map.

I was really hoping that slowly I can move away from the meta build, but even now with meta build I can barely kill 2 people.

Btw how did you get the playing time stats on ps4?

  • Am good without it

Hexes should be one-per-match and affect ALL totems at once. Cleansing any totem reduces the effectiveness of the hex but does not remove it until 3-5 totems are found.

The meta-totem perks are bad and should be reworked to have powers all on their own instead of requiring you to use two perk slots to try to get one effect going.

Aim assist would be great if the weapons had no travel time, but because they do aim assist could actually make it worse rather than better.

Additionally, there would probably be loads of controversy over it, as does this happen with every game that allows aim assist on controller but not on mouse, which gives me another reason to simply not want it despite being a console player myself.

When I talk about Aim assist I talk about a slight help, basically with mouse you can aim quicker. I didn’t mean anything like spot on aim assist. For me it’s a bit stressful that I have to set sensitivity for each killer if I wanna to be competitive

  • I wish we would have a slight AIM assist on console, just to get the right direction. Also i typically have frame rate drop whenever I aim especially with deathslinger, but it can happen with Huntress too.

  • I suck at playing against nurse cause i come from console, she wasn’t so common before cross play. Tbh everything upto the killer in what style he plays.

  • When I play survivor, I try not to focus on gens only for example I open chests, do totems. Unless it’s a sweaty hour, i come with a chill build, like a healing build, pallet restore build etc.

  • I feel the same, even when I try to go around object as bubba or I try to shred with Demogorgon I stuck upon things unnecessary.

  • @Phasmamain said:

    nope. mine was the opposite.

He is not locked. The action is because you first must interrupt the healing action which began before you attempted the pickup. As you were on cooldown.

It is BS tho, but only really matters at that exact moment in the gates. Other than that you would just hit the healer and do the pickup.

I agree on that, but it felt pretty bad that you know I couldn't do anything.

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1951933#Comment_1951933

I read that but they can't move while being healed either, so kind of a catch-22 I guess. I would hope that if you hit the healer and immediately tried to pick them up you might get them. I've never had someone in the dying state make it that close to the exit with another person still in the game with them. Weird. I would have thought said person would have been able to intercept and heal someone dying a lot sooner than at the exit line. What were they doing, making that poor sap crawl all the way to them in the gate? "Sorry buddy but I'm not risking my butt; you crawl to me here at the line or you don't get healed." :)

Well the survivor mate was body blocking, but I managed to hit the injured survivor literally 1 meter before the exit line. So the healthy survivor started and stopped the healing so the survivor could crawl incrementally.I didn't have time to initiate the pick up animation.

  • @PureHostility said:

Only one action can be in progress on a single entity(object) in that moment besides coop actions for survivors.

    Example:

Generator cannot be kicked if someone is repairing it.

    And/Or

Generator cannot be repaired while it is being kicked.

You must interrupt the other side from doing their action.

That healing thing is fine. It allows survivors to cooperate in order to overcome a problem. It relies on long cd of killer's m1.

Use STBFL to mitigate that issue in the future.

Huntress hatchet has faster cd than base m1.

    Etc.

It is one of few things that require some game knowledge (skill) in thwat overly casual game.

Let me explain again the issue happen right next to the exit gate, right next to the escape line (or whatever it called). If this would happen 30 meters away from the exit gate sure not issue, STBL would have been okay, but in this scenario non of those solution could help. Actually as. I think over we have this issue when you down someone next to window or locker, you have to waste a lot of type to find the position where you can pick up the down survivor.

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/228237/why-cant-i-pick-up-survivors-when-someone-is-healing-them-while-they-are-on-the-ground

You know, I've never noticed this because I never look a gift horse in the mouth. Why wouldn't you take the free hit on the person healing the downed Survivor? If they continue healing, hit them again. :) Seriously, I've never tried to pick someone up while someone else was healing them because I've always taken the free shot.

Because as I mentioned it was 1 meter away from the escape line. Which means if I hit the healthy survivor the one on the ground will crawl out. There is no point to hit the healthy person in that scenario.

  • @Clevite said:

It's called the heal tech. I guess like killer has priority with the hatch. Survivors get it to heal.

U have to interrupt the action. Like. hitting a survivor sabotaging a hook, why does that stop the action. You should still get to continue sabotaging. But it gets interrupted with the hit. So it goes both ways.

There is also gen kick, where your action is locked because survivors are working on gen. But some capacity I think there is difference, because when you close the hatch you interact with the hatch not with the survivor. Also when you pick a survivor from the ground you don't interact with other survivors, also the survivor who is on the ground is not doing anything since he can't recover while he is getting healed so he is just laying down. There is no reason why a survivor who is going under heal should be locked.

It was never said to be specifically anti-tunnel. It doesn't even serve that purpose well and it for sure won't now. How is doing the objective abusive? Killers can play the game normally but survivors can't?

Killers can abuse it now for the reasons I mentioned. The perk will be so bad it won't be used, therefore It is definitely not a healthy change when you lose a perk for doing the objective and when there is no obsessions everyone will be tunneled. It's only healthy for killers, to make the game even easier for them where 4K bloodbaths are the norm.

So you say it was useful cause you could DS-d the killer within 60 sec almost in case of any action?

I’m sorry if it sound harsh, but if you didn’t use the anti tunnel part of DS and that’s what you needed to win.. then maybe you relied on this perk too much. The perk won’t be useless, you just can’t play cocky anymore and it will punish killer if he tunnels you. Why should be the killer punished because you go for an unhook right after unhook or you jump on a gen right after unhook? Killer can’t do his objective neither he can’t hook u again without punishment, it’s a fair trade off.

  • @Sluzzy said:

When I first heard of the news yesterday and read a picture of the perk description, I immediately thought it was a prank because it was clearly written by a killer main. It was written exactly how killer mains want it. I had to go watch a vod of the stream to confirm it was true because I couldn't believe it was being nerfed yet again and in a way that killer mains precisely want it.

It is not about how it was nerfed that is important here, it is why it is nerfed. Decisive Strike was not nerfed because of balance reasons. The devs never said the perk was too strong, they strictly talked about the fun factor for specifically one side. It was nerfed because killers didn't like the perk. Killers demand to be totally in charge of their opponent and always oppressing them. DS doesn't win the game by having it equipped, it made the experience playing that side a little more bearable. It was a "fun" perk to use but at the same time a "required" perk to use because despite the rhetoric from the killer side, tunneling is the most effective way to win the game. I know because I play killer as well. If I want to win, I can tunnel someone out of the match and there is nothing that team can do. If it is a SWF team, they'll do anything to help their buddy and then it throws the match. I've seen it from both sides since the game released.

With deactivation conditions which I've said on this forum numerous times which the devs have chosen to ignore, a killer can stop chase after a survivor has been unhooked and if they find that survivor with nurses calling, THEY ARE TUNNELING. The perk is useless. They can work on the objective and thinking they are safe, the killer can stop chasing and return to THAT SURVIVOR and TUNNEL. The perk is useless again. A ghostface can hide, wait for the unhook, wait for the survivor to heal or touch a gen AND PROCEED TO TUNNEL, the perk is again useless.

This perk was nerfed for the benefit of one side at the cost of the other side for not balance reasons, but strictly FUN reasons. It has been nerfed at least five times.

So to answer your question, if you are a survivor main or play solo or duo, then you should definitely quit. This side has been nerfed constantly and consistently for five years with total disregard to mechanics freely given to killer that can make this side miserable to play. Instead of nerfing DS, more perks should be buffed to even discourage its use to help against unfun mechanics. Why couldn't Discordance be buffed instead of nerfing DS? Keep in mind, Infectious Freight on Nurse, Spirit, Oni, Billy are all still a thing, Infectious Freight has never been nerfed, keep in mind it can be abused to cause the survivor side to be miserable. The devs and killers think this perk is healthy, obviously, for the game. An insidious camper can still camp with NOED. A bubba can camp someone in the basement and there is no possible out, a killer recently BUFFED! The devs think this is healthy, obviously.

For me personally, I can not wait for Back 4 Blood, I've been thinking about that game a lot since it was announced and this nerf has made me even more excited and can't wait. Guess the best part is of B4B? Characters will not constantly be nerfed in that game, it will constantly improve. When you enjoy something in that game, you won't have to worry about something being taken away from you. Especially after you bought it.

So you are planning to leave the game because on perk was nerfed. Actually it wasn't really nerfed because if you used for anti tunnel it still serves that purpose. If you used it for abusive purposes, then I'm sorry but in that case this is a healthy change.

You say it's not a strong perk, this was true about old ruin, undying etc. I believe this change is very healthy for the game.

  • My problem with the perk is that takes while to active, also I find it difficult to decide when to use it, because sometimes the killer just leaves me. But I can't go back to the gen cause it's blocked.

Honestly,i don't have nearly as much problem playing Nurse and Oni as i have with Blight.

Playing Nurse and Oni with 100 sensitivity is totally fine and there are very few cases where more sensitivity would have been needed (Though it pretty much kills your thumbs playing with max sensitivity).

Blight however is insanely handicapped on console because even max sensitivity is really low here.Because of this flicking with him isn't possible and the turn rate is absolutely awful. It feels like i have to use turn addons just to get to addonless pc blight performance.

Very unfortunate because i really really like blight :(

So you say I should try Nurse with max sensitivity? Do you have any tips how to learn blink distance? I always wanted to play her, but I found it stressful, maybe the MMR will help...

I get disoriented with Blight too easily. I was suggested to user Shadowborn, but tbh it didn't help much.

  • I think Oni is somewhat useable tho, my flicks on ps4 doesn't really work lately... Survivors find his dead angle so easily
