Gen rushing isn't a thing. That is a survivors only objective. Killers are supposed to stop that. Killers need some sort of pressure or else it'd be a cake walk. That's why there's perks and full on builds dedicated to stopping gen progression. If gen rushing is an issue for a killer than they need to run those perks and practice gen patrolling. Maybe pick a killer like legion who's good at stalling gens.
Just think about it, if the first survivor drops every pallet, she/he creates enough time to finish 3 gens. M1 killers can’t stop it, even high mobility killers can’t stop it. Maybe if u chase them off from the gens with Ruin, but totem spawn is terrible ruin usually is a 1-2 minute perk. So please don’t come up with this non-sense that the killer needs to stop it. If you would play killer you would exactly know its impossible.

The MMR was actually better than the current matchmaking
-
I totally feel you, I have the same experience, but I didn’t give up yet on crossplay

@Malazan said:
OK, I'm a console killer main.
Just before MMR came out, I was seriously considering just putting DBD down for good due to the endless red rank sweat squads I was seeing. Playing against the same tactics over and over again, seeing the same meta perks and strategies. It was getting very old.
Then BHVR brought in MMR and suddenly every game was different! I would be facing weird combinations of people with perks I wouldn't expect. Survivors would come up with new strategies because I wasn't just playing the same people any more. Sure, I came up against new players but I still found experienced players as well! I lost a fair few games but every single one of them was interesting.
Now we have the old matchmaking back, and it's boring again. Really, really boring. The survivors are literally all the same. Plus now we have crossplay as well, with the added benefit of faster queue times but the downside of horrendous FPS compared to PC.
I can already hear the comments from other people shouting me down:
"Get good. Just don't use crossplay. MMR was trash, I only ever saw rank 20s."
I really want to enjoy DBD but at the moment I just can't. I guess that's alright but I can't help but be a bit sad about it. Maybe I should just take a break and come back after all this is sorted out, if it ever will be.
I literally signed up to this forum to post this, so I hope someone from Behaviour sees it.
For those of you still enjoying the game, good luck to you. For those who are of a similar mind to me, hit me up with some fun games.
Agreed 100%. I can barely get 1 kills since cross play and the MMR

Nah, i've found no issues with him. Only time I missed with a Basic Attack or Shred was my own mess ups or deliberately missing to gain ground on them.
Thanks or checking it. Maybe I just had connectivity issues then.
-
I have the same experience as survivor, also as killer i get people with the same rank. However it’s really hard to play certain killers, because of the frame rate
-
@BreadTheThief said:
I've only ever played on the PC with a controller. I hit red ranks normally as a Survivor, highest ever has been Rank 1. I can attribute maybe 5% of my losses to inefficiencies inherent to a controller in a KBM environment, and even that might be high. The overwhelming majority of the time, I lose because I did something dumb.
Give crossplay a chance. It's not that bad. Framerate issues are another kettle of fish, however, and I do empathize there.
For me as a killer frame rate sucks. Sometimes people disappear in front of me, and i got aiming issues as well

Whataboutism, pretty good job so far. But again: If killers wouldnt tunnel, DS wouldnt be used at all.
if DS would be active for 3 minutes , you would still call it tunneling. Not all killers are tunneling, DS in it’s current form can be abused....

People have a paranoia with SWF
But the truth is the truth, usually the groups are 2/2 1/3 1/1/2 and 1/1/1/1 rarely i get a full 4premade.
the thing still is even playing solo if they are good can loop you.
and if they are good, gonna do gens, and save others survivors with borrowed time.
and well, not all the killers are able to patrol gens fast enought like billy
or down survivors super fast like the nurse or the spirit.
that's the real problem, the diferences betwen all the killers, people who think SWF are everywhere play no-meta killers and see 3 gens pop in the first chase because aren't playing a instadown killer or a super fast one.
and as i say a lot of time, due, can't balance all the perks due "teacheables"
should exist a mechanic who balance the map around the killer you pick.
weak killers have less windows/pallets
and strong ones have more
idk.
This is a cool idea, tho I would consider the fact if someone is maining that killer or not

For me there are good days and bad days too

High ranked killers should not get "bullied" very often
Maybe, but as I mentioned killers are not always coming with their sweaty build. Also it doesn’t justify the ‘attempt’ for bully. Bully shouldn’t be accepted under any circumstances.
-
Well we can assume, they bullied the OP in the game. Otherwise he wouldn’t open a thread to post a meaningless endgame chat.

@xenotimebong said:

It’s extremely difficult to “bully” an experienced killer since the things people consider “bullying” are easy to counter or have little effect on gameplay.
While it is true that is more difficult against an experienced killer, I don’t think there is an excuse to do it. Even experienced killers can struggle against a bullying SWF. Especially if that killer use multiple killers and like to use non metaperks.

Nice Strawman.
But since most Killers here define "bullying" as "winning against them", yes, bullying (in that sense) is justified. Survivors are allowed to win.
Often enough "bullying" is used when there was no bad action at all. Using Flashlights in an effective way is not bullying. Doing Gens is not bullying. Looping is not bullying. But all of those are referred to as "bullying" when Killers complain about their lost games.
I’m talking about flashlight clicking and t-bagging. If a team plays efficiently thats not bullying in my eyes.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
To be fair, you started the Chat. And they most likely did not know that you were a low Rank. The low Rank should btw not be the reason why they were in your Lobby, most likely the AWESOME (this is sarcasm) changes to Rank Reset and SWF-Matchmaking causes this to happen. There are not many low Rank Survivors and since at some point you will get a game, it is one of those.
They probably waited quite long as well.
So bullying is justified against high rank killer?

Balance =/= fun. The game is in a pretty well balanced state, but Killer is still an incredibly stressful experience. There's fun sometimes, but a lot of matches I've had since reaching red ranks are just tormenting sweatfests.
In my experience so far, the decreased co-op gen speeds have done #########-all to stop gens from popping across certain maps before you have a chance to get there. Some maps are also still criminally unfun to play, the main culprits coming to mind being Haddonfield, The Game, and either Backwater Swamp map.
I agree about the sweat. The game is indeed more balanced, but the sweat didn’t change much
-
i’m rank 2 killer on ps4. Most of my games are sweaty as #########. I just bought Ghostface and Demogorgon and I can barely practice without being abused and bullied
-
Hmm I will try to adjust my sensitivity
-
Or maybe there could be two different skill measurement for killers, one against 4 SwF and one against swf less than 3 people
-
I would love to see a statistic when these SWF-s play. Like for example Friday and Saturday evening? More 4 people SWFs playing? Sometimes the evenings are terrible. Like today I bought two new killers and I was barely able to practice with them...

It's very unfortunate that you have experienced this matchmaking. The person that said that the MM that we have now is based on skill hasn't happened yet. I could be wrong though. Hopefully you can give DbD another try in the future. Have fun somewhere else.
I'm afraid the new match making won't stop either side to have this kinda games. My understanding is that you get more points if you play against higher skilled survivors. If high skilled/ rank killers won't queue up, then the matching will add a lower skill killer to the lobby. Correct me, if I'm wrong.

Whoa definitely not. Trapper is one of the better killers. He’s anti loop. He Trap loops, Traps vaults, he’s fast. Noooooo. Clown and plague need a buff.
Fast?

@ClickyClicky said:
Neither should NOED then
That would mean you play with 3 perks... I don’t use NOED, so I don’t care. But the point of NOED is the endgame.

It’s not bait 😂 I 3-4K with plague against red ranks. I think communicating teams run on me more often than not. But I’m rank 9 killer. I don’t play much but I see red rank survivors in my game almost every game. Usually anywhere between 2-4 per game. Plague is considered one of the worst killers and I think it’s too easy.
Would you mind broadcasting live on twitch?

If you can actually get 100 victories in a row with 3 or more kills at rank 1 with valid proof, I'll lobby alongside you. I'm surprised nobody picked up on this borderline impossible condition. I'm perfectly ok with saying if you can pull that off, let's nerf killers somehow. If survivors could get 100 4 man escapes in a row, I would definitely want them nerfed.
i would like to see him broadcasting live...

i like Oni, it’s very satisfying to smash people in demon form, however if the survivors know how to loop it’s hard to hit anyone. The best is when you can catch them off guard

It’s not about mistakes, but I don’t wanna go side track from the original post

At the end of the day, both sides have an unskillful interaction. However, I don't want to just keep adding specific stipulations on perks just to take care of those specific scenarios and make the perk description like 20 lines long. It should be pretty simply and straight forward: this perk works for 60 seconds. The end.
And I would agree with you, if certain survivors and teams wouldn’t abuse it. Or the ‘tunneled’ survivor close to the exit gate wouldn’t use it for T-bagging. I believe majority of the killer community has a problem with this perk cause it used for the wrong purpose. Honestly I barely get DS-d cause I don’t tunnel, but in certain situation this is a very annoying perk.

You can always stay away from the hook if you want, but now you know that you risk the unhooked survivor escaping and even the unhooker too if they're healthy. You're not forced to camp per se, but camping is the best option for securing kills. I hope this discussion helped you!
Absolutely!

Tunneling in end game is also non skill based.
you know what, you are right that survivor deserves the win...

True, but doesn't a double hit also guarantee a trade if you are close enough?
Well sometimes I try to play fair and look for the other survivor... so I am not called camper. But i learnt lesson...

@AsePlayer said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1227796#Comment_1227796
Tunneling in the end game is still tunneling. Sorry.
And? Being untouchable in the endgame still non skill based win... we are arguing if it is tunneling or not. What OP suggested it shouldn’t work in the endgame.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1228138#Comment_1228138
Well you can camp to secure a kill, but if you don't camp you are risking the survivor being saved and then having DS so they can escape. This is why most killers camp in end game, so they can get guaranteed trades and not have to worry about losing kills.
I agree, but hook grab doesn’t work because of dedicated servers at least on ps4 lately.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1227831#Comment_1227831
Come on...
I literally commented above that you still have the option to go after the unhooker and it is still your choice to tunnel. It's obvious you're running out of justification for stopping an anti-tunneling perk from preventing tunneling.
What if you don’t have any other option cause the other survivor is at full health?
-
I think OP is right, if someone gets unhooked next to a gate and you down them they will still crawl out...
Yeah yeah go for the unhooker. They get a sprint boost and they run out...
Back then when Legion’s deep wound condition was changed, the Dev said that a killer shouldn’t get an automatic kill. Well DS next to an exit gate is automatic win...

That's not the point, Killers being given crows still means they are not participating in the game.
Giving survivor crows means the killer or the EGC can still elliminate them from the game, forcing them out.
You cannot do that with Killers.
The issue is that killers have no option to give up the match, except AFK. Sometimes I don’t have the patience to face a bully squad, so I go AFK. I’m not going to participate and entertain those teams.
-
I’m talking about in case of chase, like when 3 survivors stand in your way so you can’t go a certain direction and they are able to almost close your path . When you are carrying someone it makes sense. But extending loop or blocking loop at end game doesn’t make sense for me.
-
@inferjus said:
Because gameplay requires that. Just like you can not break survivor's legs to stop them from moving.
Not a bad idea 😏

Would you mind streaming on twich, I gladly watch you playing

They are all red ranks.
It doesn't matter what you say man... Killers are OP and every body knows it. People who watch twitch know it, people who play as survivors know it. If I wasn't able to select to be a killer, I would have quit this game on my first week!
But since I can select to play as a killer, it doesn't bother me.
I just wish I could enjoy both sides of the game. But it's not doable.

Killers are not just OP... They are WAY OP... 100% UNFAIR.
Sorry but this is absolutely not true
