First, but on the black coat. Second, get NOED. 3rd:Profit. 😁

Its complaining about gens going to fast before the killer can do anything, and its a real problem for most killers, especially those without any map presence at all.

They really need to do a Key revamp. It's useless right now.
Just like they did to Mori's! Except survivors got extra time to use and abuse thier keys because for some reason they didn't do it at the same time as the mori changes.

Dead Hard is still uncounterable. And isn't fun to play with. Take NOED, its not fun to play against and I don't give a ######### about it. Also M1 killers are extremely weak in the current meta and terrible map designs.

So thats it? Only 2 out of 26 killers are considered viable if they slap on 4 slowdown perks and the best addons?
Yep, dumb, isn't it? *munches on carrot*

You said three were slugged. There is no reason to do this at all other than being greedy and relying on a game flaw that caters towards you.
Or the only thing you can do when you've been gen rushed down to one gen and need to put some pressure on to even have a chance. Unless one or more have unbreakable, and then theres nothing you can do, weeeeeeee! :D :D :D :D

The thing is even with this "counter" to Boons, it still doesn't shut down the perk, it just removes one of the totems that can be used. Which should have been base to all killers from the beginning. There is no reason boons should be reusable on the same totem over and over and over and over and over again. It was also just a kick in the teeth to all killers since Hex perks are one time use and Boons are not. Sure they have limited range, but it makes me feel like the survivors just get something better then killers.

Uninstall? Really we all should try to escape, but the entity already has you.

Precisely... I believe that the game should be redesigned from the beginning. Even if it's impossible.
If Killers are too strong, SoloQ will be EVEN more unliveable than it is now and hardly anyone will want to play alone. If SoloQ becomes too strong or equal to SWF, there is still the problem 3 ~ 4 viable Killers, the rest must be lucky to 1k.
I'm really struggling to be positive about the future of the game as I only play SoloQ or Killer.
Preach. I'm right there with you.
-
@Rokjer said:
Make SoloQ viable first before you want to make all killers as strong as Nurse or Blight. SoloQ even makes Trapper OP based on teammates level.
People keep saying this but at what strength level does SoloQ need to be at? Because the problem is that some killers just can't do anything against the strongest survivor strategies, looping and gen rush. They need tools to be able to combat that, because unless they drastically redesign the game thats always going to be a problem

BBQ is not fine as is, because I feel obligated to bring it for the Blood Points and hate it and wish I could just never use it again without feeling BP starved because I like to hop around between different killers and play survivor with my friends.
I agree, I think the utility versus other detection perks is also much more reliable, I would like to see some other options for tracking just as powerful.

It's not DbD's fault that the community is horrible.

God, please no. DbD’s the only co-op game I can play without hearing blaring music, screaming “adults”, incessant mocking, whathaveyou.
And I hear you say “just turn it off”. Yeah, no. If I do, I’m gonna get scolded by teammates who need to rely on me, and I will miss out on info that could be crucial.
Every other team game has it, and has a mute button. I think its a necessary evil that needs to be added to make the game easier to balance. I would rather just not have SWF at all for how the game was originally intended, but we are way beyond that at this point. So I would rather just give everyone the option for voice chat. Keyword OPTION.

Gonna spread an idea thats not mine, but I think is really good. Just disable all interactions for the survivor after using dead hard for 3/4/5 seconds after use. That way it would be used more to avoid hits while negating the distance to get to a pallet, window, or whatever.

I can't take credit for the deal, it was someone else's idea ^^
But I understand the whole interactions things, but windows and pallets are the core one I saw
I agree those are the core, it just seems easier to disable interactions in general is all, from a game design and programming standpoint.

Awesome, glad to hear it 👍
Also I do like your idea for the change of being unable to use pallets, I would say just turn off interactions after the use of Dead Hard in general for that 3/4/5 seconds, but thats me.

too much attention is being given to these "content creators". Can we start looking at the average gamer, rather than someone who has no-lifed DBD into a job - make no mistake, they carry water for BHVR
Sure, average player here. Without gen slowdown perks 2-3 gens finish after one chase, if I'm lucky. With slowdown perks, one gen is still likely to pop after a chase. Gens are too fast, and if you don't have a killer without map presence, your likely going to get screwed by even half way decent survivors. And Dead Hard. Its not the free health state (though that is a problem) its the distance to get to a pallet they should not have been able to reach, extending the chase.
-
Legion needs to go down in D tier. (Coming from a Legion main after trying them after the buffs)
-
@ThatOneDemoPlayer said:
Because that'd make every Boon useless
Except if it was still reusable you could use it on other totems. A killer should be able to destroy the totem at least so the survivors can't just relight it again and again and again and again and again.

I will gladly trade NOED for Dead Hard, you have yourself a deal.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/324737/survivor-is-becoming-unplayable-thanks-devs
CoH is still overpowered if used by smart teams/SWFs and Dead Hard pretty much makes the game unplayable for any m1 killer. Gentimes in general are far too short, all it takes is 2 people being genjockeys to finish all five of them in just 5 minutes while two other survivors waste the killer's time with broken map design, bodyblocking and nonstop DH abuse. The killer experience is downright miserable.
Yep, can confirm dead hard shuts down all the killers I want to play as (Legion,Pig,Ghostface), so I uninstalled again after trying to play again for a week. There are parts of this game I want to love, but its so unbalanced and so unrewarding and so so unfulfilling to play the killer right now.
-
I think we need a DBD2 so that the fundemental problems in the game can hopefully be fixed and create a more balanced play for both sides.
-
I do because I love the character. Because I can see them on the main screen. And i know the survivors will see them too, and hopefully appreciate the ascetic I've gone for for each character. But in the end, its for me, because I loved the outfit I made.

It's always stressful and I get tired of dealing with the rude behavior of survivors. Yes, you dropped the pallet. Proceed to tbag. Yes, you are vaulting many times near the hatch, you won the rng contest. Ok kids, time to get out of the gate. Yes, your flashlight macro is very very impressive.
It gets tiring after a while. I don't do anything that warrants that sort of behavior. Also in every game when three gens pop after like my second hook it's like yes.....I could probably win this if I play scummy. Do I? Even having to make that decision wears on a man.
Solo queue? Don't care. Killer hits me in hook? Dope, that just means I had a good chase. Nobody comes to rescue me? That's alright, onto the next game. I literally don't understand how anyone gets upset when they play survivor. It is so so easy and so stress free. Hold m1. Goof around.
It is, I agree very stress free. I think the bad behavior comes from entitlement and power going to the head. Thanks for letting me know, and I'm very sorry your experiences match my own while playing killer, its not pleasant.

At first, it never really struck me... But, when you know that the killer is supposed, in this game, to be more powerful than the survivor... Why doesn't he have the same number of slot than the survivor?
I'm not talking about having 16 or an excessive number, but like, just 6 perk possibilities instead of 4, to give "more" power to the killer in a way? It may not at all solve the problem of camping, tunnel, teabag, clicky or skills that cause problems...
But at least it would give a "new" power to the killer, which would make the whole thing consistent in the asymmetry of DbD's gameplay
Or offer him an extra skill depending on what causes the killer the most problem, what the players would consider as "basekit", for example, the possibility of having a 5th skill, but with less advantage than a certain perks, like the possibility of destroying the boons, without reading the aura afterwards, or stuff like that
What do you think of this "possibility"?
I've been saying and thinking this for years! Another perk slot or two would help with the disparity that games with going against 4 people with 16 total perks.

or what about making giant maps a bit more smaller or making giant maps to have less pallets and more (not safe)windows instead.
is sad seeing killers that have potential to be fun and good at the same time , being killed by bad map design.
Yeah, I feel you on the map design, some smaller maps with a pallet or two less would help a lot personally.

I always have fun playing survivor, solo or with friends. If the queue times weren't 5 minutes a pop I'd never play killer.
Is it cause killer is stressful and feels like an uphill battle? I might be projecting a bit there, and certainly no judgement, but I am now honestly curious why you don't?
-
No, killer is the worst experience in the game
-
@AMOGUS said:
This might actually result in fundamental gameplay changes if these perks are changed, you realize this, right?
Sure, that's a potential. And I am hopeful for it. But I've been around too long, got in and out of this game too much during its life, to have an immense amount of faith in what the solution is going to be, or more importantly, how long its going to take to actually implement? Also, I don't feel like they can change the game that fundementally, and the problems weak killers have will likely continue to be problems.
-
I’m just worried what they are going to do to fix gen rushing if they are needing the slowdown meta perks to make it so that gens aren’t popping instantly. I’m not saying camping isn’t a problem, but it has a counter at least…genrushing. Genrushing has no counter besides slowdown perks.

@scenekiller said:
All boons becoming absolutely useless instead of making CoH less frustrating?
why even introduce boons at all then?
Boons are an overpowered mistake that is still going to require a PERK slot to deal with in a significant way.

People will find ANYTHING to complain about on the survivor’s side. The killers cried until COH became useless despite the perk going threw a few changes already, DS got a hard nerf thanks to killer main complaints, and now Dead Hard is probably next on the chopping block. But wait… How can the same people complaining about all of these Single perks fail to realize the killer side has things that are probably far worse that haven’t been fixed even though they’ve been BIG issues?
HUG TECH
SLUGGING UNTIL BLEED OUT
ALCHEMIST RING
BUBBA FACECAMPING
NOED
TUNNELING
These are just a few I named that have been a big issue and it feels like the devs haven’t even put in an effort to address these problems.
GenRushing is still to fast and overcomes all slow down perks if your killer dosen't have some kind of map presence. Low ranked killers have to use scummy tactics to get anywhere, deal with it. I have to deal with DS, Unbreakable, Dead Hard, overpowered loops, completely safe pallets, and SWF. I, as a killer, am always alone. Even if your not in SWF as a survivor, you are not alone. And you are the power role. Second Chance perks are much much much stronger then gen slowdown is by a long shot.

So... let's change the game for you because you are bad? XD
Sure, if you want to read it like that. More I just want killer to be less stressful and some of that stress put on survivors. I want survivors to have more challenge, because I find them boring, and killers to have a little less challenge because they require so much work. I just want everyone to have to put in about the same amount of effort.

It would make it unfun for survivors if a killer has bloodlust to start a chase. I think what needs to be fixed is map design and spawns. There would be more fun chases and killers would be less reliant on gen regression.
Sure, but thats not something BHVR has shown they can do even close to remotely correct, so like with all things with this game, alternative solutions need to be figured out. At least in my opinion.

Easy, i would make a working matchmaking, and then balance according to the data i gather then.
Also i would seperate swf from solo queue, because thats the biggest balancing issue in the game. By seperating them, you could balance them individually, making both modes fair.
But both is probably not going to happen.
I like part of this. Seperating SWF from solo queue would be the best. And give rewards to killers who pay in SWF ranked, like unique skins and charms, things visually(tangible) rewards, not just blood points. Make actual seasons and incentives people to want to play against an uphill battle. And then people who just want a casual and classic experience can play the other mode.
-
@TicTac said:

Its more just something I've noticed over the past few weeks, and figured I'd make a post about it, I'm not sure where else to put it?

@sulaiman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/259188/buff-killers
As i see it, it might make stealth more important, but how does it buff it? The map reworks just left areas without any hidding spot, how does ending chases faster buff that?
Also, ending chases faster gives the killer more time to wait out a camp, or makes tunneling more effective, if he decides to not pressure and play the game. How would you counteract that?
At best, its not well thought out.
Cool, then what would you do? because your not given constructive criticism, just criticism.

shut up and cry me a river, we already know that this game desperately needs fixing, we really don't need another person complaining, cause it's just outright annoying
and no, it won't change how the devs work with their game, its almost been 5 years and look at how many things still need changing or tweaking
edit: this post is to poke fun at the negatives of the forums, not to be serious, and you can criticize my pose for being hypocritical if you want
Look, if no one cries what they want fixed then the things people want to be changed never will. Feedback (ie complaning) is an effective means of getting change that has been used since communication existed. Everyone does it, and if they don't, they should. Now, it can get to entitled levels certainly, and I feel that people on these forums on both sides can get that way. Either way, complaning will never go away (and never should)
