If we had a reason to be positive about this game you'd see it.

We're keeping this post friendly and wholesome. not aggressive and bm'd, don't bring that Negativity in this post, =D

This is objectively wrong, since I've said previously, the Pig is a direct downgrade of ghostface on pretty much all front.

GF doesn't have anything outside hiding his terror radius. That's bout it for him, he can sneak up on survivors no doubt. BUT outside of that, He has Nothin'

  • @ClownIsUnderrated said:

I still don't see what makes people think Clown is the worst killer in the game, even with his rework that made his chase even stronger people still think he's the worst killer out of the roster!? I'll provide you with my own history lesson of Clown.

    {Old Clown with the movement speed slowdown after a bottle throw.}

I'll admit here that Clown back when he had slowdown after throwing a bottle was indeed bad, it was his biggest glaring issue that a lot of people never noticed even I was one to have never noticed it. It hurt his chase massively because you would be losing distance on survivors after hindering yourself with a bottle throw, although this made him pretty bad he wasn't the worst killer in the game. He was still a step above Wraith, Trapper, Myers, old Doctor, and old Freddy.

    {Old Clown with the movement speed buff after a bottle throw.}

What was one of Clown's biggest issues of being slow downed after throwing his bottles was all fixed once the Silent Hill chapter came out. Clown no longer suffered from hindering himself, and with the buff that was given his chase became what is was suppose to do. You can throw a bottle towards where the survivor has their route planned to go, and keep an incredible amount of distance with that survivor. With the slowdown on the survivor Clown is guaranteed to get the free hit out in the open and around loops, where as before he would sometimes not get that free hit with hindrance to himself. This buff then resulted in me to experimenting around with Clown more, and eventually lead me to becoming a Clown main. Once I started messing around more with this improved version of the old Clown, I was ending chases very very quickly. But for some reason people still think that even with the movement speed buff he got after throwing bottles, it still made him the worst killer in the game? I'll tell you that he was definitely better than Myers, Trapper, Wraith to name a few. He was once a D tier killer, but with a buff that improved his chase he became a decent C tier killer.

    {New Clown with buffed reload and antidote bottles.}

Now it all brings me to this, let's talk about the new Clown. With the new Clown came the introduction of the antidote, where it speeds up both Clown and survivors. Also with that came a buffed reload speed for Clown, which was shortened from 5 seconds to now three. If you run out of bottles, the quicker reload will be enough to get you back to full. Now a lot of people are probably thinking why in the world would a killer power benefit survivors? But after finally getting to test out how much the antidote benefits survivors, I'll just have you know that the antidote doesn't really drastically increase the survivors movement speed nor does it really help them. The antidote is also not a tool to be used for map mobility, but if you basically have the game won just use it for map mobility at that point if you want. The power of the antidote is in the chase, and if used correctly can be very strong. Here's a few pointers as how to use the antidote.. When you're in a chase with a survivor around loops it's best to throw the antidote down first, and then follow up with a tonic as to where the survivor is. You get the increased movement speed with a slowed down survivor, and you will get that free hit unless you make a mistake with the bottles. What I also do with the antidote is after hitting a survivor with a basic attack out in the open, I then follow up with an antidote bottle to the direction that the survivor is going. With that 2.5 second delay, I get the speed boost and if the survivor gets close to a pallet or window I can still get the down thanks to the antidote. Also another one that isn't one you would do a whole lot if a survivor is hiding, just throw the antidote straight onto them and then hit them immediately after with a basic attack. While you are doing your blood wiping animation the antidote delay will trigger before it's over, then giving the speed boost and allows you to do what you want to that injured survivor immediately after. People are really underestimating the power of the antidote, it helps for Clown's chasing which is good with the anti loop but makes it even stronger with the addition of the antidote. And your probably saying this rework didn't fix his map pressure issue, although killers like Huntress, DeathSlinger, and Bubba don't have map mobility but have very strong chase powers. Clown after this rework is definitely not in the bottom of the barrel with weak killers, after this rework he's jumped to B tier for me. Of course he still gets outmatched by Freddy and Doctor, thanks to them having information on survivors along with passive slowdown. But the new Clown is not a tool for survivors, he is an improved version that can be very scary if the Clown your going against is really good. And thus this concludes our history lesson of the Clown, an underrated and fantastic killer.

Ghostface takes the worst killer spot in the game. Clown isn't bad if he's good but like i said multiple times in the past. No matter how good any killer or Clown is. they will not beat a good Optimal 4 man, Solos maybe. 3-4 mans that don't play well. Yeah, ...But not the best survivors. Imho

That is very true. He was designed to be chase heavy and lack pressure

Alot of people ######### bout slinger. but like.. just rush gens and he can't do much besides stalling time to hook and get pop / ruin off =D

  • @[Deleted User] said:

You could actually balance Spirit with a few tweaks. She's not the most unhealthy, in fact I'd say she's one of the better designed killers.

I think the most garbage designed killer in the game is the Deathslinger. This killer is bad due to the fact that he's only good at chasing and nothing else. He is like old legion. If you fix the generator times and balance for him, then he becomes balanced but better killers become overpowered.

He's no depth to his power, no strategy. He only has a power that can only be used in chases so Deep Wounds is not a good stalling debuff for him either.

Compared to Huntress, who has global range hatchets which gives more depth to her power and allows her to strategize.

No matter how good a slinger is. a good survivor team will Run through him reguardless. He has 0 map pressure And is 110%

  • Instantly back to 4.4.2, it was fine. nobody complained. it was all normal for Once

You mean the bus that had its maps disabled immediately after it was found? Seems like a bit of a weird thing to be upset about considering the desync is still prevalent.

It wasn't Disabled Immediately... it took acouple days to get it to shut off Every Autohaven map + Buglyum maps

  • i have a tower set up... and goddamn, i get lag spikes randomly throughout the matches when i play, it's the saddest part that bhvr won't take the time to admit that they're stubborn and would want the whole community's opinion in the First place, (In a positive way of not attacking or naming and shaming devs..)

  • @Vetrathene said:

Bhvr has no respect. and they lost it with me as it stands. Like i get the new patch and all that needs to be worked on, But don't Release it in a state of broken mess when they never TEST THE DAMN UPDATES AT ######### ALL

I’ve already clearly stated the ways Clown can get hits in on survivors before they even have chance to reach a pallet in the first place.

Staying injured against Clown is a death sentence.

Even if you Do catch up to them as clown. they will always Pre-run against a clown and make it to a loop waaaay before clown catches up, Why do you think Clown can't compete with survivors that can actually run, and not mindlessly hold W against him..

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    Clown isn’t for everyone.

    And that’s ok.

He was never weak before his update, and he most definitely isn’t anything remotely resembling weak now.

Clown has always been deceptively simple looking, but beneath the surface has been rather complex (in comparison to the other killers) because the Tonics TRUE power has always been the ability for the killer/player to CONTROL where a survivor goes in a chase.

But of course in order to achieve that it requires some damn quick thinking and the ability to almost constantly focus on more than just the survivor in front of Clown.

The Antidote, namely Clown Invigorating himself amplifies just how deadly accidentally running through a Tonic now is for a survivor. If thought is put into set ups with both Antidote & Tonic, Clown creates many, MANY “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” circumstances for a survivor whether they’re successfully diverted away from somewhere or if they’re successfully forced through a Tonic in their last desperate attempt to reach a pallet or vault.

That’s simply too much to think about for some players. So many posts claiming the Antidote is pointless, or mistaking it as a mobility tool and lamenting its still not good for traversal is evidence that many “still don’t get it”.

And this is ok. Not every killer is for everyone. I’ll never be able to wrap my head around the precision required for Nurse, despite Clown teaching me the ability to reliably predict where survivors are going. And that’s ok too.

I’m not attempting to be arrogant. I’m not implying that those that don’t get Clown are dumb. Clown rewards the ability to strategise over precision.

If you can’t see the ways to strategise with Clown, that’s ok. He’s just not for you. But that isn’t grounds to claim he’s weak.

I'm sorry but. against good and actual legitimate survivors. Clown does not compete against them in the slightest, just pre-throw pallets and make the clown waste time by going around it, plain and simple..

I personally haven't run into one that good, but i do get your point.

but most teams against a good nurse always fall. i get your statement from earlier <3 but this game will continue to be very survivor sided. (the devs prove it every patch..)

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/225430/why-do-all-the-nurse-mains-come-out-with-new-updates

Because i usually stop playing between updates because there is nothing to do. I'm a nurse main for sheer fact that she is the only viable killer at high level competitive play, and TBH is OP (tournaments prove this).

So when they make changes to other killers or add new ones, i test them out to see if that changes anything. When i realize nothing has changed, i go back to nurse, then get bored of winning 9/10 games (and drawing the other) so i stop playing again for a while.

No matter how good you are as nurse. You will Always be ran by a good 4 man swf, the BoTB proved this..

    @Verconissp

They have attempted something before but gave up on it. So my guess is they know it needs to change. Or why would they bother even attempting it?

it was tested Waaaay before. then it was hardcore abused by survivors who would just wait next to a hook with the killer right there, It does not need to come back At all

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

I only ask seeing as Decisive Strike is receiving a pretty hefty nerf. While countering two of the most abusive strats/tactics/mechanics (whatever you want to call it) in the game.

I find it very interesting that the developers took issue with Pyramid Head's cages, and nerfing those to the point the killer cannot remain in vicinity of the cage, or else the cage gets sent to a different location.... and yet hook camping is somehow... fine?

Oh right, I know what you're thinking.... "but there are perks that can help against hook camping!" ... You mean the very same meta perks survivors are forced to bring in order to have a decent chance at not playing sacrificial survivor for the entirety of a match? or maybe it's the same meta perks players keep complaining about that remain as "meta" before quickly asking themselves why that is... Huh funny how that works.

Look, I know these small incidental 'tactics' people complained about were not the best part of DS, but can we also acknowledge how Camping and Tunneling should be addressed in the same fashion? They are not always used to pull some type of 'strategic' maneuver, they are often abused and/or solely used for Griefing purposes.

I have played around 5k hours with both survivor and killer at rank 1, and no I am not sharing my credentials as "proof" that I am right, but that I have been subject to these type of tactics (DS/Camping/Tunneling).

Again, if you truly care about the "health" and "balance" of the game... then you will hopefully also see the other side.

Until other stuff get changed about survivor. camping and tunneling won't Ever be changed my guy,

  • I stream this game with alot of rage moments and funny moments..... "Funny" Moments i say..

  • @Zak said:

**Hey this is a repost from my own post in the steam forum. Not copied from someone else.**

First things first, I say that as a NURSE MAIN myself. She needs a nerf (yes, again)

Two things IMO are problematic still :

    1. Lunge is extremely forgiving. Make her have a T1 Myers lunge at all times so they actually have to land more precise blinks to hit.

    2. The double recharge add ons. These two are BS AF excuse the term but the point of the nurse nerf from 2019 was to make her wait a second to get her second blink back so the survivor has somewhat of a chance to make distance. When they use these 2 blink recovery speed add ons it brings the old obnoxious nurse back ( and God knows all of them run it). You either make these add ons red and purple or you don't let em stack or even better, you REMOVE them.

One more thing, people need to stop saying nurse is hard. For lord's sake she isn't she is just harder for controller players but as far as I'm concerned you can pick her up very quickly and we are seeing more and more of them.

Nobody wants to be in that match with the sweat lord with his double recharge add ons and his saloon/autoheaven map offering (actual free win maps for nurse but map offerings are another topic). Especially casuals (90 %+ of the player base btw). Make it happen please. I know I'm gonna get attacked in this thread probably but I have been playing the nurse since she came out in the game there is no bias here but I feel like I'm the only one seeing how problematic she can be still. Just wanted to share so go off if you want.

    Nice b8 m8

  • I'm not clicking that forbidden link, YOU'RE NOT GETTING ME

  • It would imho. If it's gunna change to that. then you'll only face actual good survivors that can make you rip your hair off, And with them only running Meta perks just to achieve this... in a 4 man, it's just bout unwinnable even with Nurse,

  • Ngl. it's not that hard. it takes time and practice, and i'm sorry if fthis comes off as rude but. If you can't commit to something for long then you won't get better. Imho, it takes alot of practice and skill to loop better... And that's also self-taught aswel,

  • @starkiller1286 said:

  • @shyguyy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/218135/nurse-is-bad-for-the-game

Definitely not the hardest killer to learn and master. This is simply a meme stated over and over by Nurse mains. As Nurse there is no need to learn how to run shack, jungle gyms, t walls, how to loop efficiently, when you can mind game a pallet vs when you need to break it. There is basically no need to learn how to play killer because she is so different. Once you have timings down and know the few things you need to learn as Nurse I would argue she becomes the most forgiving killer in the game.

I'ma just say that. Nurse is a "UNFORGIVEN" killer to play if you don't understand how she plays. i think you should face a good swf with no perks / addons Nurse and lets see if you can really 4k that and call Nurse "Ez" Or not. =D

    • You think the recent maps are good? because as far as Ive seen no one likes the new maps except maybe Ormond
    • Killer win rates are high because there are way more killers then survs. Not to mention that a "win" is considered 2 or more kills which is easy if you camp which is what a majority of low ranks do.
    • "New killers all have some strong form of anti-loop" You think the twins are good? You think Blight is anti loop? and looping is only like 35% of the problem
    • "Ruin/Undying" In the early game anyone who isnt stupid will just not get off gens and let the killer chase someone. Mid game look for the bones and destroy them, and late finnish gens. Its very easy to counter and just because you saw Otz (A very high ranking killer) pull off a 150 + winstreak doesnt mean ALL killers are good.

---> New maps? Half of autohaven is a complete deadzone with MAYBE acouple unsafe loops. IF that (Screw rng)

---> Has nobody taken into consideration how many survivors suicide / rage quit against killers to make the win rates inflate? (Hint: A Fuggin Lot)

---> New killers don't have much for anti-Loop. (I'm looking at you twins)

---> Ruin / Undying is literally not that game changing. Can be taken out almost instantly out the gate 30 seconds in (Or less!!!)

  • @smartemarte said:

Spirit with strider maybe? Or maybe just go for a hag 3 gen camp.

Add this with the awful match making the game is becoming more stale than it ever has before, the above combo is just silly for some killers and even if it's "balanced" it's just makes for an awful game and the same thing over and over and over

It can be abused. if you're allowed to put the same name every week to make sure that One player never gets in your lobby again. would be just totally abusing the system even if they were good players.

And the other issue is. you'll still be called Toxic even WHEN you aren't toxic. so like i said... i can't agree with this Idea at all,

  • No. i'm sorry but sadly no. this would be abusing the system to avoid Good players on dbd. making them have a Longer queue time. i would not even support this idea at all. Just my thoughts,

Bloodlust is an outdated mechanic since ages already. The only purpose was to be able to catch up when kinda "infinite" window loops existed on old maps. All new or reworked maps have literally no real safe pallets (god pallets don't count). I still see many killers running around safe pallets with bloodlust 2/3 which is just the proof that is has to go because that's not the purpose of it. People that say bloodlust would still be needed are the generic douche killer mains that only want ez 4K running in straight line matches. Every new player has/had to git gud first and should not get carried by bloodlust training wheels.

But what if i'm wanting to chase a hacker down and facecamp the bastard... i'd need that T3 BL if i ain't Trapper Nurse hag spirit slinger huntress etc...

  • You say Noed rework.. i'm still waiting on a Ds rework so it can't be abused by other survivors anymore and i can enjoy my job as a Killer! =D

  • @Aldath said:

Hey there guys! Some weeks ago, I posted asking for advice on getting out of the limbo I was stuck in (Rank 12-10), and I've finally managed to move forward, now jumping in between ranks 8 and 7 :) I'm very grateful for all your advice as it has really helped me improve.

That said, it's becoming more and more common to be paired against Rank 3-1 survivors, and even though now I usually get "Brutal Killer" at minimum, I still find it hard to progress and do better, mostly because I still haven't settled on learning a killer good before moving forward. I felt comfortable with Legion, but I really struggle using him against higher ranked players because Deep Wounds isn't a menace at all and besides stabbing someone to see who else is on the map is about the only thing I can do with him.

I decided to go for some of the stronger "meta" killers, but I have problems with every single one of them:

-Hag: As I've gone up in ranks, keeping up with survivors working hard on multiple gens has made playing her harder, my traps trigger all around the map, usually on different edges, and I can't chase good enough.

-Billy: Chasing while using the chainsaw dash has always been impossible for me.

-Oni: Same as Billy, I can't seem to make any use of its power; dashing makes me lose sight of whomever I'm chasing, and I can't for the love of God hit anyone with the club lounge.

-Nightmare: I've found much more success using him than Hag, but the use of his snares is tricky at best, and I still feel survivors just aren't afraid of falling asleep, and it's the same thing: survivors just spread around the map doing gens very quick, my teleport will let me keep tabs on two at best, but even then that's not enough. The only games I manage to win with him are where my NOED wasn't cleansed, just to be called slurs on chat, more often than I'd like to.

-Nurse: If I can't hit people with Billy and Oni, you bet I can't do anything with Nurse.

-Huntress: I have terrible aim. I can't do anything in PvP shooters, let alone here that hitboxes are so wonky.

-Executioner: Out of those I'd say this is the killer I understand the least...

So, I know I'll have to stick to one of the stronger killers if I want to become better, but I'm sure my dumb self must be overthinking (or overlooking) something about them and at least one of them might be easier to use and understand than the rest. I'd like some advice again :( Thanks for your help guys, and have a beautiful day!

There's Doctor which is easy. the only thing you needa learn is timing your shocks to stop pallet / vaults and thats it

  • Ruin / Undying / Distressing / sloppy

Addons: Ranged addon + any calm addons

First.. you want to run to the middle of atleast a three gen set up before you use Static blast. it's what i do and i usually get 1-4 survivors doing this.

Second : Chasing / shocking: Now i ain't a doctor main but. timing is always key. the way You physically STOP a loop is quite simple.. you want to be halfway around a loop chasing a survivor before you shock near the pallet on their side. making them run by without dropping. giving you a Free hit / down =D
