Well for starters Gen rushing technically never happens

only one of those very small acception is toolboxes and Prove Thyself gamers which you barely see

Now how does Gen Rushing even begin?

Well plain and simple it usually begins mostly from a Killer not applying enough pressure

on Specific Killers like Trapper, Demogorgon, and Deathslinger, Just to name a few examples, Applying pressure can be very difficult in multiple situations

But that is mainly why we run the perks

    • Corrupt Intervention
    • pop Goes The Weasel
    • BBQ and Chili (Aside from BP)
    • Infectious Freight
    • Hex Totem Perks

and so on and so on

There are a lot of factors that go into gen rushing as well, depending on the Tile RNG, the Map and its Size, and experience of the kind of Killer you are

Now what can i do to to not allow Survivors to have a chance to Gen Rush?

Well usually the best strategy is the Hit and Run where you hit a survivor and leave to find another survivor

Now why would i do that?

Because usually a survivor cannot stand the thought of being Injured, especially if they have a Medkit

But what if the survivor is gonna do a gen while Injured?

Even though it will still hurt you to have an Injured person do the gens that mean they wont be healed for a while therefore all you'd need to do is smack them once the next chase you have next time you find them

Also do know that as long as you have a good 3 gen prop it'd be very difficult to get them done, only thing that could hurt you is if they get on multiple different gens which suprisingly not a lot of survivors do (In my Experience at least)

But also the more you play the better you will hone your own skills in this game as not every other game will be the exact same thing

I'm a High rank Survivor (2) and High Rank Killer (1)

Despite the fact that Rank is meaningless that doesnt mean there is no noticable differences between a Rank10 and rank 3

I've been playing DBD since 2018 and i've seen a lot of things happen but most of them can be overcome

There are a lot of people who give waayy better explinations than i do like Scott Jund and Otzdarva but i'm giving off info from my expeirence, you dont have to hate or like it and feel free to let me know your own thoughts no matter how badly you agree or disagree with me

This is a community i want to share multiple opinions with so we can hopefully all come to an arangement that not everything a Survivor or a Killer does is specifically to target you or be an ass

I'm here for hopeful Help, if i shine some light on Killers and survivors thats great! if not thats okay but i thank you for reading nonetheless

If you are interested of Course i do YouTube and Twitch

    Twitch- Jack_TheJolteon - Twitch

    YouTube - (75) Jack TheJolteon - YouTube

So yer telling me. when i'm chasing One survivor. the other three survivors are on Separate Gens.. by the time i finally down the first survivor who was a actual looper, 3 gens popped.

By my standard... Gen rushing is a Real term.. i've even done it with my team, less than 5 minutes we got all gens done and got out,

    (Survivor is weak btw /s)

  • I question the "Face camping" or "Tunneling" here.. Now in my eyes, i don't like to tunnel, lest i'm forced to.

If i see the unhooker go for the unhook. course i'ma punish that. but since the unhooking is kinda bugged and not setting the hooked on the same place. i either get a double hit or i accidentally hit the unhooked.

Now of course i leave said unhooked to be slugged and go for the other person, and i hook the unhooker. if i see That person again you bet yer sweet cheeks i'ma go for that hook,

Wdym it was the hardest thing to do? All you had to do was bind M1 to you mouse wheel????? It was one of the easiest things to exploit on nurse lmfao

Your bias is showing so much it's getting itchy

Who the hell even binds m1 to Mouse Wheel.. Are you seriously thinking that EVERY Nurse player knows this bug and Purposely rebinds m1 to a Scrollwheel? If that's the case you might as well Tell console to not play Nurse Despite the fact that they could do it but at the right time.

Sorry, But the only Bias showing here is that guy over there and You my guy, just sayin' the truth

You seem to be fine with the blight flick and using your logic if one side abuses exploits the others can too so with your own logic there should be no issues here.

Ngl, it's been pretty funny abusing it. But what's new? Trappers used to always abuse the exploit where they could clip traps under tiles, that was around so long it started to become "tech" and I actually saw trapper mains on here crying about how that was one of his only useful "features" when it finally got fixed. Or how about all the nurses abusing the fatigue cancel exploit? At the end of the day, this game is a damn mess and I'll have fun with it when 90% of the time I have to put up with other people abusing exploits. Couldn't care less how mad it makes you. Keep crying.

Not every Nurse could do the Fatigue Cancel tech. it was the hardest one to do back to back to back without missing a beat. Besides. this isn't 2016 anymore mate, we're Waaay past it and lemme tell you what. I'm not one to start a fight but don't abuse something that i can't down you nor pick you up at, cause then i'll make it my job to make every game that you get with me is Miserable as all hell,

    Just stating the truth,

Not you weren't allowed to play your favourite killer just clearly you have alot more to learn on that killer.

So if they're not "the best for telling players not to use said perks/items/bugs" what makes you so SURE that they'd announce this one to the world?

Knowing Behavior? They don't tell us anything bout what they're doin'. I mean look at the stats they gave us, It doesn't factor in the suicides on hooks. Dcs. crashes. Etc, in which that Data is 100% skewed..

You're still not answering my question.

If it was an exploit. then why hasn't bhvr put a warning on players to Not abuse it...

Where's the warning for this window exploit? Where's the warning for Wake Up! ? Where's the warning for the multitudes of exploits from over the years?

Behavior isn't the best for telling players to Not use said Perks / items / bugs.

They did Announce The double killer / triple / quad killers in public match, Infinite Mending, is the one that Really comes to mind, I'll have to do more Research into bhvr line of "We don't tell players but we'll announce it later on"

...And the thing with Wake up bug... Everyone and their mother abused said perk. Even Fog Whisperers used this perk and no survivor got a Warning / ban for using said perk.. BEFORE they fixed it..

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2039819#Comment_2039819

aight im confusing you with someone else- you all make the same argument just with different examples and it's hard to keep up.

but that doesn't answer my question- if the window exploit is an actual exploit like you claim, then why hasnt this recieved a warning? answer: because there doesnt have to be a warning issued by bhvr for it to still be an exploit. the wake up exploit was an exploit- no warning.

so why make the point of this exploit not recieving a warning when many other's also haven't?

Well i forgive you on that 360 issue. BUT onto said window tech,

It's just bout Uncounterable. even with the mindgames you can "Try" to do, Only a few selected killers can deny that which is: Clown trapper hag spirit Nurse...IF that. (or lest you run bamboozle but i highly doubt anyone runs bamboozle on every single killer..)

You said that 360's were exploits. Why haven't BHVR put a warning on those? Same with window techs.

"It's literally changing your dpi" for an unfair advantage unintended by the game developers. 360's are literally spinning your mouse around and stretched res is literally just changing your monitor settings.

What's that I smell? Not quite cow pat, no it's the lovely scent of hypocrisy.

...When did i say 360s was a exploit. that's not altering your in-game sensitivity, that's using your Keyboard / controller In which BOTH Console and Pc can do without moving said Camera. so that'sa

2: That Window exploit is more so bs in every way possible...

What is this sabo exploit? You can't hook while someone is saboing, common knowledge, you hit them instead. Problem solved. For someone that was "forced" in to it you sure thought it was funny.

They can't do anything. they get stuck in the actual animation for when they're about to hook the survivor. and that clip was also taken from my 24 hour stream. in which i was tired as hell and just felt dead inside,

    And?

You are still abusing an unintended mechanic. No point in argueing there.

If it was an exploit. then why hasn't bhvr put a warning on players to Not abuse it...

I guess they only do it when it's really really gamebreaking like the Legion mending exploit.

    It's still an exploit though

But it's "Game breaking" as people would say.

...Why hasn't behavior announced Anything about it on the forums saying "It's an Exploit. do NOT use a dpi to even 180 flick around corners and whatnot" ..that's like saying people who play competitive siege are not allowed to have a high Sensitivity AT ALL,

  • If it was an exploit. then why hasn't bhvr put a warning on players to Not abuse it...

    @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2038672#Comment_2038672

The bug or glitch: the first few frames of the Letal Rush lunge doesn't have a cap on turning.

The exploit: High DPI can cause the Blight to turn much faster than he should be able to.

Was it unintended: Yes, as confirmed by McLean.

Does it give an in-game advantage: Yes.

    So it's an exploit.

Though if this isn't an exploit, stretched res isn't one either. It's just your monitor settings and has nothing to do with the game, so if you're okay with this then you have to be okay with SR for the same reason.

    @OniWantsYourMacaroni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2038619#Comment_2038619

    It's really stupid.

People should just admit that they are exploiting rather then trying to find an euphemism for it.

It's an uninteded mechanic and there's literally no point trying to argue if it's an exploit or not

    @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2038606#Comment_2038606

    That's what i'm saying.

I don't care if people use it, but don't pretend the sky isn't blue and call it "tech" so you don't have to admit you're using an exploit.

    It's not debatable, it's categorical.

It's literally changing Dpi on your mouse which has a Dpi switch. ...on said Mouse.. you also need a large ass mousepad Just to DO said flicks which is already hard to do if you don't know how to flick properly.

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

    What.

The other side having dumb exploits doesn't make it not a dumb exploit. No quotation marks, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

You can say it's not fair that they have dumb exploits too all day, but at least admit to yourself that the J-Flick is borderline, if not just cheating that should also be thrown out with the rest of the exploits survivors have.

There's gunna be that ONE survivor main that'll question me bout it. that's why i added all that fun jazz

    @th3 said:

Using the reasoning that "the other side has their ######### so let us keep this" is not feasible. No one is defending the usage of those exploits, however that shouldn't detract from what this exploit on Oni and Blight allows them to do, and specifically it benefits PC killers. Just like the "fatigue tech" exploit on nurse it needs to be fixed.

Blight has the Fatigue Cancel too. Harder to pull off however. Also It's unique to both Oni / Blight like i said, and it's neat as all hell to tell the difference between good blight / oni and bad ones. imho it's like saying Billy should only be locked to a 45 degree angle and nothing more. (this would hurt him severely...)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2038571#Comment_2038571

Increase the sensitivity of both of their turning speeds while swinging

They could. but the devs would somehow break it in a update and require to fix it. in like a month and a half or 3 months. And the devs do not really like to help console..

  • @oxygen said:

But people complain a lot about every single thing you said as well though.

Either way if I understand it correctly it's in the same camp as stretched res when it comes to how it would actually be fixed if the devs decide to fix it - they'd have to change something rather fundamental about how the game works. Stretched is just the result of DBD taking whatever desktop resolution the user has and running with it without any questions despite the game having a very weird way of rendering on wacky non-standard aspect ratios, this thing... I guess the game doesn't know how to handle sudden DPI changes or something?

I'm sure if they considered either something that was critical to change they could, but it wouldn't just be correcting some sort of weird mistake like with the Wake Up bug or infinite mending Legion bug. Don't ask me how, overly aggressively messing with the resolution or mouse input of users sounds like a really bad idea if done wrong but I'm sure they could find a way if they decided to do so.

The devs already take a long time to fix the game. don't get me wrong.. But to me it's what makes oni / blight Unique as a Killer in general,

  • @blue4zion said:

I dunno if saying theres more survivor exploits than killer, makes this not an exploit.

They need to make it possible for console to flick like that, then it can just be base. Without it, these killers (especially blight) can have a pretty hard time.

Idk if they can make it possible console to have it..

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

100% Inner Strength, it's such a good survivor perk and incredibly helpful in both countering NOED and making sure you're nice and healed. Plus, it's from a DLC character "Nancy Wheeler" (from the Stranger Things DLC) and can only be obtained with money, so definitely go for that one.

Iron Will, too, is another incredibly solid perk. If they aren't using Stridor, it's one of the biggest counters for "The Spirit", as well as being good in almost every situation. You can hide better and pull off much better mindgames because you make substantially less noise. This, imo, is a must-have for survivor games in the higher ranks, when you're much more comfortable playing injured so healing perks like Inner Strength have less value. However, as it's on a base character "Jake Park", prioritise Inner Strength first.

Stridor is only really useful on one killer- "The Spirit"- and it's arguably her best (and most obnoxious) perk. It's a very strong perk that counters Iron Will, and allows you to track survivors easier, however I'd suggest not using it when you're newer, as then you'll become reliant on it for tracking, which isn't ideal. As it's from a base character "The Nurse", I'd still say to focus on Inner Strength over this.

Agitation is... well, it's not a bad perk per-say, but it's not a good perk either, definitely not on the strength of the other three. This would be your last pick.

A list of the order I'd get these perks:

    1) Inner Strength (strong effect, DLC character)

    2) Iron Will/Stridor (strong effect, base character, pick one or the other depending on which side you play more, or who you're more likely to level up first, Jake or Nurse).

    3) Agitation (average/lackluster effect, base character).

This is the first time where i've never seen a picture... of a goddamn cute animal pic...in this specific post..

  • I can give you plenty. here's my tips.

1:Slug when it calls for it. Don't randomly slug unless you see another survivor next to eachother, this puts alot of pressure on said survivor team.

2: Tunneling and Camping. Not the best strat but sometimes you'll have to resort to pushing someone second phase early to stand a chance. (Lest its like rank 20s or something...)

3: Learning how to mindgame better. sometimes. you'll have to force a pallet by holding W but that One pallet can be a game changer if there isn't one there,

4: Making good use of your power: Don't always use it, fake it alil. bait the survivors into making a Mistake and taking advantage of it,

5: Used a downed survivor as bait. Dunno how but this works 90% of the time...

  • @dspaceman20 said:

Hello and welcome back to another addition of Reworking Perks. And this time I'm reworking Blood Warden and Camaraderie since they are lack luster. So here are the changes

    Blood Warden

As soon as the exit gates are powered Blood Warden activates. Once per trial when you hook a survivor Blood Warden blocks the exit gates for as long as the survivor is on the hook regardless if the exit gates are open or not.

If the survivor is unhooked or reaches another hook stage the exit gates are blocked for a additional 10/15/20 seconds.

    Camaraderie

Life has taught you the importance of friendship which has given you strength.

When you or another survivor are on the hook in the struggle phase Camaraderie activates and the struggle phase is replaced with skill checks

When another survivor is within 16 meters of your hook or you are within 16 meters of their hook while Camaraderie is active the struggle timer is paused for 25/30/35 seconds and you will not receive skill checks.

How are these changes? I really want your opinion please.

that Blood Warden would be too op ngl..i could quite literally just slug and wait out the end game timer and pretty much 4k every time..

Hex: Undying also wasn't overpowered, it wasn't even that strong with any other hex perk.; but when the two are combined, it becomes far too strong. It's the same with BBQ and Pop (except Pop is a bit less healthy than no -Ruin Undying)

the tombstone is fine imo, but tombstone piece is absolutely busted.

i mean, you get to pretty much immediately kill a survivor. just skipping all hooks on them, straight up murdering them. there is nothing the survivor can do about it if they are the unlucky one to be chased while you're close to your T3 - and the insane amount of map pressure you get as a killer by just straight up removing one of the survivors at 4 or 5 gens is ridiculous.

and there is literally no downside to this whatsoever.

even if you have to stalk them longer to get to T3, thats still a lot less time that it would take you to kill them normally.

You'd lose out on so many bloodpoints. that's also the other thing aswel my guy lol

    What makes you think that?

An addon that straight up lets you kill off a survivor needs a hefty downside because it's incredibly unfair as it is right now.

Judith's Tombstone has the movement speed downside on-top of needing to run it with another ultra-rare to actually get the full benefit of running it

Well. you're trading a instant kill compare to like maybe. 2-3 hooks on em? not getting the actual bbq stack / pop value / remember me stacks Etc. the one thing i'd like to just see em have is to Have a Closed Fist if he doesn't have a Tombstone Piece. / Tombstone in general whereas if he has it. His hand would be opened. that's what i was thinkin' As a myers main =D

  • I've had plenty of toxic killers / survivors. in my time. ...so far alot of my stories Involve a very weird Toxic survivor..

On Torment creek. (Course it's coldwind) going for 50 doc wins ina row (so far i'm up to 82 wins ) and i get the typical swf that gen rushes hardcore. took my two totems out and left me with distressing and Pop.. and they three genned themselves next to the Blimp. and i barely managed to get the 4k.

Mind you i'm streaming this aswel. and they come into my stream chat to call me a "toxic killer. PoS" the usual... But then the Weirdest insult i've ever heard in my entire life... or what i Think was a insult was

Survivor: "Oh. btw you got looped by a Female. Js.. should get some skill"

    • Reduce the amount of time it takes to get out of Tier 1/Change Tier 1 to be more of a resource than a hinderance. Maybe let Myers decide when he wants to tier up instead of having to 99 stalks to do that
    • Nerf Tombstone Piece. I would hope this is self explanatory. If it were up to me, I'd make it so once you use it, you cannot use Tier 3 again for the whole match. That way if you use it instantly on the first survivor you see, you're permanently stuck in T2. Even this might not be enough for it
    • Rework the 'movement speed while stalking' addons to have a better effect

The Tombstone nerf seems Overkill. ngl,

How many hours do you play per day??

Played the whole day and only got from like 48 to 51. (Didnt have had any challenges anymore tho)

8-12 hours a day. i stream it aswel and complete all the challenges along the way lol <3

  • mm... so far i got 70 on all the rifts so far. i'm level 60 currently =D

You should NEVER DC, it doesnt matter on which side. If you DC just because you got looped, your hex got instantly cleaned (which happened MANY times lately to me), you got downed fast etc, just stop playing. Get outta here. We dont need someone who DCs.

Mm. so i should take the 9k points and the depip just because i versed 4 actual good loopers as a Wraith? No thanks =D

  • Psh. i've seen survivors abuse the no-pickup bug for the last 3 years. but if a killer can walk over a pallet. they get a ban instantly. Seems fun =D

First of all, who said they were nerfing Huntress? They're only changing her add ons as far as we know.

Second of all, although Hillbilly didn't need it, he's still a good killer, and unless you overuse your chainsaw you never really overheat.

Finally, Spirit will hopefully be nerfed soon, as for Nurse, I'm not sure if she needs one but that is up for debate. Freddy and Demo are next in line so we will see what happens after those two.

This is Bhvr... they'll nerf her somehow,

  • Slinger Main here. Can agree that 9 times outta 10 people suicide or dc against slinger. even on my not good days of aiming. Tbf i still think slinger is fine where he stands. people just need to not be predictable against him

It's not a bad idea at all actually. It's a really solid idea, but I think that he has some other bugs that need to be fixed first before if they choose to add anything else to him. He already is one of the highest mechanically skilled killers in the entire game. This would ascend him even higher, but I think there is bigger fish to fry with him first.

All they needa do is Rework alot of his bad addons. I.E the Feathers. Increase the Antidote bottle gas (or h/e it's called) Rework the Tattoo Middle Finger. and we'd be set

Edit: For people that are confused about the Tattoo Ultra rare. It's a aura reading like Cigar Box. which is already... a Waste of a slot as it stands, For said rework. Just Change it to This

New: Tattoo Middle Finger: The prized middle finger of a large tattooed man. Has a faint taste of machinery oil.

Survivors are No Longer Affected by The Afterpiece Antidote. They do not Benefit from Invigorated Effect.
