If you're talking about when they do it after dropping a pallet, I think a lot of survs do it to bait the killer into breaking the pallet, trying to see which direction you will loop (and/or bait you into going a certain way), bait you into a swing at a window, or just because they feel like it keeps their momentum going, like a runner running in place.
I think it's totally useless beyond the lowest levels, but I most of the time I don't think it's any kind of mockery/trolling.
If you really feel it is in some case, just put them on the hook and do some circles in front of them, if it makes you feel better. Regardless, it's certainly not something devs need to address.
That's not what I mean. It is extremely hard, almost impossible, to actually hit a survivor who decides to spin themselves through the whole game.

Awesome, thanks for the replies!

That's the Broken status effect. It means they can't heal themselves or be healed by another survivor.
Would it be normal for it to be on the whole game?

Pinhead needs a buff. Chains should always injure survivors.

Thanks for all the suggestions peeps! I was finally able to finish the challenge :-D

I had to do that one with the clown evil challenge indeed but easier done with the clown I think
Maybe easier with clown. Like I said, I just happened to fluke out where everyone just wanted to hang out around the basement anyway lol

I farm with survivors when it comes to very tedious challenges. I remember the last page of Tome 1: kill all 4 survivors in the basement in a single trial. That's evil.
That was an evil challenge. Surprisingly I got lucky pretty soon after starting that challenge and managed to do it with Pinhead. Normally, something like that would require Trapper to trap the basement and collect bodies.

I got Ormond six times in a row today....

But some SWF are super sweaty. Look at how some of the streamers who plays SWF play with printed off maps with numbers to identify gens and their locations. I don't believe that other players were supposed to communicate over comms while playing the game. It's like the ultimate perk; need help with a gen you can coordinate it easily, need a save from being hooked it can be coordinated, want to grief the killer they can coordinate it, and on and on. Unfortunately, there isn't much the developers can do to prevent players from playing with comms, unless there is an option built into the EAC. The very LEAST the developers could do is to give killers the option of whether they want to play with teams or not. The game does know when people are on a team.

Do you play on controller? Well there is few tricks you can try to counter them one is wait that they stop spinning and then just hit quick m1 or take few step back and then hit. You should check your sensivity settings too put them higher and if you play on mouse you can just follow them while they spin and hit.
I do play with a controller. I find it much easier than keyboard and mouse, plus it takes up less space.

@Deathstroke said:
You probably walked past pallet when getting stunned by it so you just got punished being careless. It's game mechanic and perfectly fine just don't walk past pallet while carrying someone.
Spinning is only problem for console killers whereas pc killers can easily hit spinning survivors. Solution for this is to improve aim assist for console. Unfortunately it's not only advantage pc killers have.
Well I'm on PC and I find them impossible to hit. I have never once hit a spinning survivor, despite trying.
-
Did you use Windows Xbox controls to record the video? This used to happen all the time when I would use the built-in one for Microsoft. If you switch to OBS, you can make the screen larger to fill the whole screen. That's what I changed to; the only issue I have with OBS is the file sizes.

It's pretty annoying. Around half the killers on the roster are a bad idea to even try with, as they're very dangerous to try playing around pallets with.
Personally, I would wait for an M1 killer and then just camp pallets. Even for killers that hardcore respect pallets, you can force a stun by letting them attack you under the pallet and then dropping it on top of them. Wasteful move, but it gets the challenge done. Bring a medkit to make sure you can be healthy on will.
So, if I camp a pallet and wait for them to hit me and then drop it, it'll count as a stun?
-
Why don't you spend your blood points while waiting for matches to start?

Thank you! I wasn't aware that section even existed!

All the online resellers for the Stranger Things chapter that I saw about a month ago were asking like $100 for the key.
-
No one knows what you're referring since you never refer to what it is about the game that isn't up to snuff for you.
-
I like to main as Pinhead. Being able to use chains to catch up to survivors is incredible.
On occasion, as a treat, I like to play as Trapper. I LOVE when I can find the killer's basement and add traps and a survivor as bait. I've achieved 4k too many times, but I find it hilarious when I manage to get all four on hooks while the first is still struggling on their hook.

I mean, that's true, but what if I want to see it in-game?
If you want to see it in-game, you must complete the tomes. The little tidbits of info you're given for doing the challenges are part of the reward of doing the challenge.
-
What do you mean? You simply complete the old tomes through the compendium, I think I got that right, tab in the archives.
-
I mean... just hit them? If they don't move, hit em again. And again.

I wish there was something like a Charm shop, where you can buy old Charms from previous events or Rifts with Shards. If you are a newer player it's kinda ######### that you cant collect like the Doll charms from the old rifts. I really want the Jake Doll charm but theres no way for me to get it anymore.
You can complete the old tomes to attain those charms and other cosmetics.

The other day, a result showed that the survival rate for a survivor is about 50%.
If so, the chance of the killer wiping out the survivors is 1/2 x 4 = 1/16.
Am I correct in understanding that the killer can only wipe out all survivors once in 16 games?
Your math is wrong, not that it matters anyway. The game is balanced so that killers win 60% of the time, on average.
-
Sorry, how do you know what server you are connecting to?
-
Okay, so you were all right. I watched the video on Trapper setting traps for the basement. I didn't have the extra perks that make this easier to do. So I only used two traps, one at the entrance to the basement and one a little way down on the staircase. I got all 4 of the players on hooks with just the two traps. I honestly couldn't believe how well people fell for it, all clamouring to save their teammate on the hook. I uploaded the match to YouTube; you can watch it below! Sorry there's no sound, no idea why the video editor disregarded it.
https://youtu.be/krAgM7aCeqE -
Why not just complete the 5th tome then? You'll earn the cosmetic.
-
The few times I've had to leave matches due to server lag, I've only received 30 second penalties. Maybe people who do it regularly are set at 5min to start, whereas those who rarely DC are set to 30 seconds to start.

Tiny clarification because I've seen people miss this detail: Once Trapper is prestiged once and his perks show up in others' loadouts, you can find tiers 2 and 3 in those characters' bloodwebs and level the perk up that way if you only want the perk on a specific character like Pinhead.
Thanks!

Trapper is quite adept at basement plays, as others have stated.
I would suggest you try it with him a bit more, adding iron grasp to your kit. Push for a 3 Gen around your basement and defend it.
Yeah, I've really tried with Trapper. The controls feel different when I am playing him compared to other killers.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/352263/trappers-agitation
In order to get his teachables you need to prestige him at least once. This will unlock all his perks for all your other characters. Prestige 2 will unlock tier 2 and prestige 3 tier 3
Yeah, I know about prestiging. I was just hoping for a quicker solution. I'm working on a challenge in the first tome that requires me use agitation while hooking two survivors on basement hooks. I've tried doing this challenge as Trapper, but he seems quite clumsy in comparison to Pinhead. Like, I can win games as Pinhead but not as Trapper. I've been trying to do the challenge now for over a day. Thanks anyway!

I've bought part of the event outfit for Dwight, Vigo's Apprentice. He looks quite dapper, I have the vest and would like to purchase the head and bottoms when I get paid in a few days!x

That's a neat stats site. Signed myself up, wish I had been taking screenshots of my matches all along. Oh well, going forward.

If you match their movement, turn when they turn, while attacking you should get them. It takes practice though.

1: Gives 1k BPs + Haste (Treat)
2: Gives 250 BPs
3: Gives 10 BPs + Hinder (Trick)
Plus they all give different amounts of void energy. I can't remember the spread for that though.

How am I the problem here? I have never purposefully disconnected from a game of DBD. I might suicide if I'm not enjoying myself, but even then, I think about my teammates and try hard not to.
-
You may or may not already know this, but for the pumpkin to count it has to give you a treat, so a haste bonus. There are three different kinds of pumpkins, ones that hinder, ones that give our haste, and others that give nothing. You want the haste ones. You'll know it's a treat pumpkin when it indicates it is after you hit it.

The blood prestige cosmetic effect was a toggle option for all skins, weapons and clothing? More customisation can't hurt, and seeing how easy it is to prestige nowadays, possibly bring back some value to the blood effect.
So, their art department is supposed to create another version of all skins for free? That is not likely to happen.

So you're saying use the in-game reporting system that many believe does nothing and then post a ticket on a website linking the video evidence but not give any link reference in that report? If so, I think my point still stands.
From recollection BHVR are going to be showing action taken from reports which brings hope but then with lack of proof there will be more and more reports from players and killers suffering as 80% of SWF players in game reporting a killer for hacking when they lost without providing any proof is going to be horrific for the game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3237498#Comment_3237498
Words use like 'likely' prompt why something like this video below would be so powerful with being able to dynamically change values to say exclude data that has survivors attempting kobe's
However if you give power or information to players that has negative and positive outcomes towards the game and can see why something like this would never be given to the players
When you report the player through the website it requests your Cloud ID which links the report to your account. From there, they can easily see which matches you played, against whom and if you flagged any of your matches/opponents. Even if you don't report in the game, you should it makes things easier; they can still use deduction and the video to figure out which matched the infraction.

I'll raise you one.
How about if we click on the final outer node in a bloodweb it automatically claims the path to get there.
(This could be done anywhere on the bloodweb obviously, see that purple addon you want? Click it once and it claims everything on the way there in 1 simple click)
Now that's a good idea.

I had a problem with the killer/survivor one, where you must break two pumpkins. As Cenobite, sorry, I know I squashed two pumpkins. At the end of the match, it only registered it as one.

So basically you need to have it selected in order to be making progress?
That I'm not sure of. Like, I don't know if the community part progresses. I wouldn't worry too much about it though, they had the same sort of conditions on level 1 of the Halloween Tomb and the community portion was filled within in a day or two.
