... good luck.
Daily reminder to improve your gameplay I guess. SWF is almost a complete non-factor if you're playing well.
Most SWFs are not better at the game than their solo counterparts. Even with coordination, they don't have a significant difference in escape rates either in most cases. Casuals will be casuals.
Daily reminder that this here is the truth.
But some SWF are super sweaty. Look at how some of the streamers who plays SWF play with printed off maps with numbers to identify gens and their locations. I don't believe that other players were supposed to communicate over comms while playing the game. It's like the ultimate perk; need help with a gen you can coordinate it easily, need a save from being hooked it can be coordinated, want to grief the killer they can coordinate it, and on and on. Unfortunately, there isn't much the developers can do to prevent players from playing with comms, unless there is an option built into the EAC. The very LEAST the developers could do is to give killers the option of whether they want to play with teams or not. The game does know when people are on a team.
That's literally what SBMM is for. If a SWF plays super sweaty, they ideally get matched against a level of killer player where that doesn't matter. You're describing a matchmaking issue, not a comms balance issue. You can see it in the community cup matches that some players are streaming today. Loose restrictions in this tourney and the top killer players are still dominating for the most part. I've seen M1 killers 4k'ing at 2 or 3 gens left. It's matchmaking, not SWF.
If matchmaking works as it's supposed to, the sweats only go up against the sweats. That is the goal, but it is often borked by not enough players in a particular role just then, and also by lobby dodging making things wayyyyy worse.
Ideally those super soldier SWF teams of godlike survs aren't encountered by average killers, but sadly it happens.
However the instant a killer is informed of a SWF in the lobby they will yeet themselves on out, looking for solos. As I said dodging ruins matchmaking, but since at least half (prolly more by now) of all survs are in at least a two-man group, the dodging would become too much, and those survs would never get a game.
"Complete non-factor" if you are playing the only two viable killers on a top level against an optimized and organized team on coms.
Do the same thing while taking your sweatpants off and you'll see that it's not a "complete non-factor".
At least killers have the chance to see if they are going to play against a comp 4man SWF to lobby dodge.
SoloQs have to pray they will be matched against someone that does not stomp them in 5 min.
Agreed, most SWFs aren't good. But they are still way better than if you redistributed the four players into solo.
Yes and no. In a scenario where a killer and SWF (on comms) of equal skill match against each other and each plays to the best of of their ability, SWF wins almost every time.
Now obviously that's rare, but implying that you can simply outplay any SWF if you play well enough isn't quite accurate. The ability to coordinate with a team is the most powerful tool in the game, and will always be a "tiebeaker", if you will.
As for the topic, they're not going to be nerfed for a couple reasons:
People have proposed solutions, but none of them are good. It just is what it is.
