There's literally a hook upstairs. You just didn't see it because of boil over.
That's the definition of skill issue.
-
you guys
I don't. I just play the way I want and collect the salt.
The people you mention do this in every life situations. They have yet to learn any better strategy to cope with the fact that their time on earth is limited.
-
too much whining over nothing
-
I'd love for them to get back the "1 depip = losing rank 1" rule.
-
being last feels hopeless
That is kind of the point...

What do you killers do while this happens?
I have a super high end pc, so I will literally have a game like MW2 alt tabbed, and play that while I wait. Or do some housework.
How do you people pass this time?
I got 3 monitors so that's not an issue.
Just tab over to shitpost on dbd forums.

Because people like to do tome challenges?
That's why they come to the forum making these threads. Because they love doing them so much.

Agreed. I have no idea why Bubba is allowed to face camp or Insidious camp for all these years without any type of change at all.
My idea for all killers is that they can no longer become Undetectable when within 24 meters of a hooked survivor. (This only can be countered If Using Killers for An Example Like Ghostface or Tier One Myers). But it always will prevent things like Insidious or Tinkerer from making you Undetectable when near a hooked survivor.
For Bubba, disable his chainsaw and drain his charges when within a certain range around a hooked survivor. This in my opinion will make Bubbas and Killers in general camp a lot less.
Idk why people are upset by the ever so rare, random Basement Bubba. Just do gens. 3 escapes = ezgg
Or just sewerslide on hook and move on.
Hostage Doc pretty much forces you to play for one hour without getting anything in return, or flat out DC.
And by that I mean the entire lobby, not just one survivor.

Jungle gym into Shack window on Father Campbell's Chapel.

This. Also Lerry's is a map filled with godloops. Absolutely nasty when you know how to abuse it.

u could take a time travel machine back to 2016 and show a player this and they would say " whats the problem we see this every match?"
the thing is.... we are no longer in 2016 and now this is a issue which BHVR straight up refuse to adress for some reason
Maybe we need 1 Door 2 window shack back. I would love to see that just for one day.
-
Yea idk I steamroll most groups that aren't on coms.
Then I bust out my spirit and it's GG for the absolute majority of teams no matter if they play on coms or not.
There never will be a balance in this game. It can't be.

totally fair and balanced.
Every now and again I come across some totally busted tiles.
Tiles where I literally can't stop laughing because there is just no way a regular ass player will ever catch me there.
And this happens more often than it should, I feel.
-
People are actually doing those? Why?
-
I run Kindred + Open handed. This made soloq so much more enjoyable for me.
Most often I run Prove Thyself and Lithe along with it.
I get all the info I need, I can get gens done efficiently and fast and I can escape from bad situations.
Nice build tho I might try it.
-
I just played this wonder of a tile. There was a third pallet easily reachable as well as shack and a completely busted house loop.

As long as you don't have a way to run a custom server / p2p there is no way for you to play an older version mixed with people who play newer version. The server checks your version.
-
I 360'd the killer
then I ran to the shack window and got hit
You see, this is what happens. 360 gives you no distance to write home about.
Also RIP thread because you didn't censor the names. GG
-
Nobody cares about pips. Absolutely nobody. You don't care about them either, you just don't know it yet.
just play another round, you'll reach iri1, that is guaranteed. A2M gives out participation trophies like nobody else.

Hi, if you refer to response # 1 I state "I'm also not talking about tunnelling as in I was the only survivor the killer could find. I mean straight back-to-hook-Andy, I take a hit and he goes for the person I just got off the hook and was in the middle of healing. I've even gone so far as to take a down and the killer would rather leave me slugged to continue tunnelling." I hope this helps with identifying what tunnelling and camping means to me.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3260582#Comment_3260582
I'm very glad to hear that your recent return has been simple and easy for you. Clearly your MMR has dropped significantly. Wait a few months for your MMR to increase, and then let me know how your games are going. I look forward to hearing from you. :)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3260401#Comment_3260401
Exactly. This is the frustrating part. The killer plays scummy and gets rewarded and we depip because he tunnelled and camped and we got 10k bp for the few gens we managed to get done.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3260179#Comment_3260179
I sincerely hope they do change MMR. At this rate, its so easy to pip as killer but not as survivor and it's really frustrating to have to sweat so hard to de-pip anyway. (in my experience, anyway)
Also, these are tips I've already implemented myself. Hopefully some new players will be able to take some stock on this post. :)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3260325#Comment_3260325
I understand that it's not easy. I also understand it's not a game where every change is going to be welcomed with open arms by the community. However, I think they really need to come right out and say that ruining another players experience by camping and tunnelling isn't fair or legitimate gameplay. (except in the instances where it is. lol) At this point, at high MMR it's almost non-stop. And if behaviour does not agree, then I would personally like them to come right out and say they don't agree, tell us that you're alright with killers having an unfair advantage at 5 gens so those of us that are tired of this tactic can move on in peace.
The only thing you'll hear from me is from others crying in the forum to nerf this and that.

Yes and No. Head On can be messed up wasting it or it dosnt give you much distance if used incorrectly and DH is the same way. Both perks you can mess up and even SB has it's negative effects like you have to walk everywhere so not to accidently use it. Lithe is a more stable perk imo since a window can break line of sight easily and the speed boost it gives increases the distance between you andbthe Killer.
Then there is BL.....yea I don't need to go into why that's the worst perk by far....
The real OGs know that it's
Lithe

I have played both killer and survivor, however I am typically a survivor main. I agreed when killers would say it needed to change, that they struggled with getting 4ks. However, I never expected the pendulum to swing in the complete other direction.
Killer seems to be fairly simple, and easy to play - Ive made it rank 1 several months in a row.. Yet, survivor just keeps getting worse.
When rank resets every month, you just get tunnelled and camped for days on end. I have a swf that I typically play with, and each month it seems to get harder and harder to get to rank 1 because so many killers are tunnelling and camping "just to be toxic". Just now, 4 days before reset, I played 23 games in a row. Of which, I escaped 3. The other 20 one of the randoms gets tunnelled out immediately. Then the other random goes, then the killer focused on me and my buddy. EVERY. Game. This is the picture of balance?
I'm at the point where I would rather play a game alone than play dbd, and my swf feels the same. It makes me sad to see this game in this state, with behavior ignoring anyone who isn't a fog whisperer killer main. I've put so much time and money into this game, just to be ignored.... and it's disheartening. My swf won't even get on anymore because they don't see a point. So a lot of times, it's me + a friend and two randoms.... Either MMR needs to be fixed or tunnelling and camping need to be fixed.
I got Iri1 on both killer and survivor within 2 weeks of coming back from a 3 year break. I think you're exaggerating a bit.
-
You just have to tunnel harder.
Camp first hook to get the first survivor out fast. then it's only a 3v1.

I'm sick of picking up survivors and seeing the boil over icon when there are barely any nearby hooks. Sometimes, other survivors will be trying to save the carried survivor, too so I just end up dropping them like 60% of the time because I rarely can make it in time. And when there is a nearby hook, there's always obstacles in the way. I'll see a shortcut through them but then boil over usually forces me around it. Please get rid of the boil over buff, it's the worst.
I had a match as the Onryo where I had to down the same survivor like 5 times before I could put her on death hook because she had boil over and every hook was always too far away.
Man, the amount of ######### I got away with running Boil Over, Tenacity, Unbreakable and Flip Flop is crazy.
-
I run distortion a lot because it's a great perk. But the last few days not a single token was used in all those matches. I know for a fact that at least one of them ran bitter murmure because I remember him.

I firmly believe these remarkable individuals should get an option to activate an icon by their name in the lobby. The icon would be a crying baby (no particular reason, just the first thing that popped in my head). This crying baby icon would say the following.
"I am true role model of a person who will immediately DC or kill self on the hook if I am the first one downed, regardless of how many gens are done. It is best if you volunteer to be the first chased/downed if you want a chance of winning. Cherrio."
I decline but I offer a counter recommendation.

For those that replied I am meaning the word exploit as in deriving full benefit from something not cheating
That makes no sense but ok.
Also here's a pro tip.
Doctor with Iri King&Queen
Distressing
Jolt / Overcharge
Merciless Storm
Unnerving Presence
Arguably not an exploit either but guaranteed pip + perfect game every single time.
-
I get up early in the morning to go to work.
I get back home, take a shower, eat, do a few shitposts here and there, catch up with whatever I have open at the moment, then I hop on the game and play.
Pretty straightforward. You?

So I am a killer main and I try to avoid tunnels and hook camps as a tactic. However I recently started to survivor grind again and I have to say I am not sure why survivors continue to play the game when you have killers that can abuse the pip system.
A killer can tunnel a player out right at the start and make it a 3v1 which is drastically in their favor, then can even continue to use this tactic a second time. at a 2 v 1 most non-premades are done killer gets a 3-4k easy. Now the killer will only get 1 pip for this at best and on average this is the outcome. However the 2 survivors that were tunneled out will receive a double de-pip and the other a single de-pip.
How is this a system in which it has a balanced outcome, to be honest after doing this grind I have questioned why anyone would want to go through that punishment?
Not an exploit.
This whole "trying to steer people to play one way and one way only" is desperately anti fun.
I just played 3 entire games as the one and only "doing gens, you?" gigablendette. I did nothing whatsoever except wait for everyone to die and the killer to find the hatch for me so I could escape via key.
But I guess I am toxic and unsportsmanlike for doing that. I forgot I am playing the next big thing in e-sports.

Bloodweb is the real gameplay of DBD. Trials are just a minigame.
at least it's balanced
-
While I agree that it is a major pain in the ass, unnecessary and outdated, it doesn't take anywhere near 30 minutes to go through 2M
You can do it in 10 minutes.
Make the nodes insta-buy on click instead of having to wait for the node to fill. Jund just made a video on it explaining how you would effectively spend upwards to 14 hours just doing bloodwebs in order to p100 a single character.
-
Nurse and Spirit still spank mad ass and anything outside a swf is an exercise in patience.
tl;dr nothing changed
-
beautiful
-
Why do you think there is a problem.
The game is balanced. People are just mad because they make stupid decisions, never learned to deal with consequences of their actions and learn from their mistakes.
In network engineering we call it a Layer 8 issue. P.E.B.K.A.C.

What about me as a killer player though, in this system do I get matched against these DC lobby's? I pretty much get off the game right after someone kills themselves or DCs. The game just turns into work at the point, no competitiveness behind it at all. It's still crazy to me how many of the people on these forums don't understand how bad DC's are for game health and that pretty much all other pvp games will suspend you for weeks after enough leading into perma bans.
Like guys League is literally the biggest game in the world and they make you agree to not leave game's after ONE DC. It takes like 3 DC's to get a suspension for weeks into a perma ban if more accumulate. Balance does not revolve around DC's in any way and you people who are defending it baffle me. Once you hit ready, you are saying "I want to play this game". "You can't make people play a game they don't want to" That's correct but they have already agreed to play and should not be welcomed if they decide they don't after they are in the match already.
That's why I take the superior sewerslide on hook method.

Iron Maiden is BIS
-
I think they've done a pretty good job so far.
-
Bugs?
In my Dead by Daylight?
-
I mean yeah I agree that the bloodweb bs is by far my least favorite aspect of the game since day one. I doubt they will change that.
-
Works as intended btw
-
I don't understand the issue at all to be honest.
You get free stuff and you somehow complain about it because you can't get more stuff?
-
Oh you didn't escape? Let me put you in a team of even worse people so your chances to escape in a teambased game are even worse.
