Why is everybody, their mother, and their uncle Bubba farming?! I have not played against a killer even one single time today that wasn't farming. Just play the game you guys, it's not that hard. You're going to get points. Farming is so ######### boring. So unbelievably boring! Just play the game normally. It's more fun that way!! And, it's not like survivors have a say. If a killer wants to farm, guess what that's how the game is going. Period!

Just do gens. It forces the game to end and/or for them to kill you.

Problem solved, you can move onto your next match and hope not to encounter another farmer.

I don’t understand the complaints for Wraith. I have never complained about him once even after his buff.

OP is expressing the toxic behavior from Wraith players. Nothing about him being OP or having a buff.

  • I also experience this with Wraith’s. Safe to say that Wraith is probably the poster boy for Toxic Killers in my opinion.

Feng Min is the poster girl for Toxic Survivors in my experiences as Killer.

Pretty sure that’d be considered abusive chat. Not sure if it falls under unsportsmanlike.

I’d also like to add, if you’re have a terrible experience playing Survivor against Killers who just want to make this event trash, do your community service & be the Killer you want to see during this event to other Survivors 💜 I’ve switched to Killer 3 days ago and refuse to go back.

I have little frames issues "sometimes" really rare tho, but I am not on console, if survivors would also get a cake every lvl it wouldn't be like this, 1 cake and 1 item minimum, this would bring back the balance

I agree. I get a cake every bloodweb on my Spirit & Huntress.

My Elodie/Jane/Nea barely get any cakes. All they get is Toolboxes and Flashlights.

    Its ridiculously rigged and bad.

    1. Killers get more cakes. (I got 40 on my spirit getting her to lvl 50 from lvl 16)
    2. Killers get more points for this event.
    3. Survivors are getting the #########-end of the stick.

Honestly, you're better off waiting the 10 mins than playing Survivor. (if you aren't dealing with crazy frame drops like I am)

  • I literally cannot play this game as much as I love it right now.

Before the Resident Evil chapter, my frames were perfectly fine (i'm on PS4).

The day of the chapter release, my screen will literally freeze in place while Surv's/Killers i'm playing against (more than likely on next gen consoles and/or PC) are benefitting from this handicap.

Please, please, PLEASE give us answers or reassurance. I don't deal with frame drops in any other game I play. I understand new content is important, but pretty soon I can see last gen console players giving up on playing this if we continue to be unheard and/or ignored

Edit: (especially with how scarce the supply is for PS5 demands and PC prices inflating).

PLEASE FOCUS ON WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS!

  • Lets discuss what's aggravating you, because I have a LIST of things that have me on the edge of quitting as well.

    1. FRAME DROPS
    2. FRAME DROPS
    3. FRAME DROPS
    4. FRAME DROPS
    5. OPTIMIZATION

If not, then I hope you to see you on the forums in the future. Sorry you're dealing with this.

  • I know you said they were newbies, maybe she was too and didn’t understand that hatch was an escape?

Also, I will say that when I get dropped on hatch the trigger to climb through is very finicky. You have to be over it at a specific spot for it to display the command.

Eh, not sure. Just some guesses.

And what is 'being an ass'?

According to these forums, a Killer is an ass if they: Tunnel, camp, slug, use certain perks, use certain Killers, use offerings for Killer-friendly maps, try to prevent a Key from being used, don't let Survivors heal up, kick gens, don't give hatch for final Survivor, try 'too hard' during events, try 'too hard' in general, dodge flashlight saves, exist on the same map as a hook, etc. etc.

See where I'm going with this? Everyone has different rules they expect the 'other side' to adhere to, and most those rules boil down to 'Let me win' with a different coat of paint each time.

Killer decides to kill everyone? 'Don't be an ass!'

Killer does not give final hatch? 'Don't be an ass!'

Killer camps because Survivors let it work? 'You're toxic!' 'Reported!' 'Noob baby!'

    Etc. Etc.

And what is 'being an ass'?

Sitting in front of a hooked Survivor just because you want to and tunneling one down because they have the crown. They should have a fair shot, not a "freebie".

I think I speak for all Survivor's when I say I'm not expecting a free win, & if you're going to kill me that's fine. Just at least give me a chance to get points & don't sit in front of me on the hook when there are 4-5 gens left in the match.

    1. Its a PS4/Xbox One/Switch problem.
    2. It has something to do with them implementing the last chapter and messing something up.

Yeah it's the same every year and I don't get the fun of it. Why would you bring a build and a plan to prevent others getting a crown and deny as many bp as you can. I've had so many unfun games as survivor yesterday I switched to killer which is way more relaxed. It's extremely easy to grant someone else a crown or a few more bp without throwing the entire game. But I guess I missed the memo and the dbd olympics have started or something.

Literally what I did yesterday. I had about 6 horrible Survivor games back to back before switching to Killer. After the first 2 matches, I didn't burn anymore offerings as Survivor because I refused to give Killers any points who play the way they do, & surprisingly as I suspected, the last 4 matches were full of sluggers, campers, tunneling crowned Survivors.

I pick up Spirit and hook everyone twice, let everyone leave and help find crowns while still managing to make over 100k with BBQ stacks. Some people just find happiness in making everyone else unhappy/go through hell.

  • Why do people find this amusing or entertaining...?

I'm actually from a rural town in a sparsely populated country that, despite a progressive government, doesn't have particularly progressive citizens outside of its biggest cities. I know exactly what it's like to not know. I actually had the opportunity to go on hormone blockers before puberty, but there was just no real education there and asking questions was... Ahem, "frowned upon".

Plus, I'm really lucky that I prefer girls, because queer woman are really accepting.

Although being trans comes with a lot of downsides, most of which other women will totally recognise and that have little to do with social acceptance. The most annoying things for me are having to shave every day with suddenly very sensitive skin, sudden (admittedly light) acne, requiring a bra, and remembering to wear seatbelts properly. Which as I have learnt, is very, very important. Like, that is so ######### important. I wish ladies talked about that more often because holy crap is that annoying. Also, like, just sensitive everything. My skin is so soft now.

Edit: any specific details you want to know? I can't speak for all trans people, or even for all trans women, but I can share my specific experiences.

I actually had the opportunity to go on hormone blockers before puberty, but there was just no real education there and asking questions was... Ahem, "frowned upon".

That seems so frustrating and closed-off. To not be able to get information or ask the needed questions you want answers to, thats why I'm so happy this generations day & age everything is just soo involving and open. You can be whatever you want to be, get answers to anything that people may have found "weird/unacceptable" back in the day.

Lol, seatbelts are a pain in the ass xD especially for women with large breasts. Also, yes shaving is so annoying to keep up with. I will say, you should try waxing, as it lasts longer and if you trim your hair before, its way less painful.

Thanks for being reasonable. My point is, before endgame collapse, killers were in a horrible situation. With endgame collapse they were handed insta-death and they still whine about auto kill not being enough. I think BHVR should revert the endgame collapse for a week, so these new killer mains can see how big of a pain in the ass the hatch standoff was, and how whiny asking for something so controllable as nerfing a third exit is. If you don't want them to get the hatch, don't tunnel, and don't let them finish gens. Don't put the survivors in a position where it spawns, then they CAN'T use their keys! Viola!

    No problem :)

Yeah, I do agree. Hatch stand-offs were poopy.

This is why I always bring up old hatch when I see complaints about hatch. They really have no idea how bad it was back in the day. You'd literally just sit your character there, go get a sandwich and come back to you standing in front of the Survivor/Killer because you both refused to move. I used to call it The Egotistical Stare-off lol.

@Unicorn Sadly my Kate is P3 and I'm constantly praying for another Cake before I run out of BP 😔

Meanwhile my Nemesis 30+ cakes easily, P1

    Really?

    That's so odd.

I did realize that last year my Killers got way more cakes than my Survivors, I figured I was only getting so much this year because my Rin is P3. Maybe its the same as last year.

  • @kisfenkin said:

If survivors choose where the hatch spawns they show you as well.

Keys don't need a nerf, unless the hatch is reverted to not closable.

To be fair, the Killer knowing where the hatch spawn is does nothing when there are two keys in the match.

I do agree with your second statement though, to an extent. I believe keys don't really need a nerf because it takes for Survivors to die/gens to be done for it to spawn. I think all that's really needed is a progress bar when opening and/or an animation so Killer has a "fair" chance. Also, the hatch being reverted to not closeable is unneeded considering Keys can open closed hatches.

  • @Smashen said:

It is very hard to keep up with Blood Points to use a Sacrifical Cake for my lovely teammates. I try my hardest with Prove Thyself + Wglf to keep up with Cakes but they seem to spawn around every 2-3 Bloodwebs and thats around 100-150k BP on level 50.

Camping and tunneling make it even harder to get the required BP to keep up

Thank you, I hope you guys enjoy the Event 😊

I do realize they spawn a lot less when you're not P3.

My Nea is P1, my Spirit P3 and I get at least 2 on each bloodweb with Spirit and 1 every other/3 bloodwebs with Nea.

    Edit: typo

  • You don't have to per say, but playing Survivor as much as I do (especially during these events), I realize how much more douchier (not a word but it is today!) the Killer can be. With that information, I tend to play Killer a lot less "douchier". If you don't play Survivor as much and/or have the same experiences that I, and I'm sure plenty of others do, then you won't really understand why you don't feel the need to play nice or fair.

  • Don’t know about your experience with gaining BP in this game is, but I have a very hard time. This game is so grindy, it puts a new definition into place so if I get Killers/Survivors that wanna farm, I will not argue.

    @MadLordJack said:

Being trans is... Complicated. For the most part, we were just born or developed wrong, it's honestly a bit hard to tell which is which but they lead to the same conclusion: We aren't the gender we should be. Which comes with a lot of problems, depending on when you come out.

But, it's not really a matter of choosing, we just... Are. I pretended to be a guy for over a decade, and even though that was my biology it wasn't me. I actually never developed any ability to handle testosterone, so anger management was a pretty huge deal. The whole time I tried to suppress my transness and live normally, but I knew it was BS of the highest order, so I came out. And then we get to the tricky part of being biologically trans.

Short version? It's in the hormones, not the genetalia. Hormone Replacement Therapy is what changes your gender, not surgery. Many trans people need surgery to feel comfortable with themselves, but it's not what changes your biological gender. Most trans people seek to change their biological gender (body) to better match their identity, but the degree of change is entirely up to the person. I don't really have any plans myself, surgery is expensive and I'm not wealthy.

And something else I want to mention is the WHO making it insanely ######### hard for people to transition. I got lucky, my gp has a trans daughter and didn't put me through all of that horrible, awful psychological testing and the year-or-years-long waiting list just to be allowed to recieve HRT. But that's what happens to most trans people. They officially give up because they're treated so poorly by people that are supposed to help them.

I don't want to leave it like that, that's not a very happy note, so I'll say this: we are who we are, and we can't change that. But thankfully society is beginning to accept us, and even though some of us are really different it's becoming easier and easier to simply exist. Also, yay hormones. Being able to change your biological gender is the best.

Edit: Also, a lot of us tend to struggle with sexuality as well, especially those of us that choose to not get surgery. Thankfully, society is also becoming more accepting on that front, too.

Edit edit: also, I am super open and actually had to remove some details about my specific biology because I didn't want to upset anyone. You can totally ask anything, so long as you have an open mind.

@MadLordJack Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and defining what it means to be trans. I really appreciate and honor your journey although, with you permission and comfortability of course, I’d love to hear more about your journey.

I never knew it was more of a hormone thing than a genitalia thing. I know that some members of the trans community don’t mind it, while others do & thats what makes it such a hiccup for me.

I guess because I was uneducated and grew up during a generation where the world was so ignorant to what exactly trans women and men actually go through and weren’t willing to allow them to speak up for themselves, it kind of blinded me. I’m so happy this generation is so vocal and accepting. And despite what the LGBTQIA+ have gone through, its amazing how open and welcoming the community is to people. Again, thank you so much 💜 I really appreciate your post.

I agree. I know people like to bring up the “she can’t have a baby, she doesn’t have a menstrual cycle and so on/so forth which is why I was always confused because, yes this is scientifically true, but from any other angle, does that actually matter?

that’s actually something I find really offensive to say as there are also many biologically born women that may not be able to have a baby or don’t have menstruation cycles because of medical reasons or whatever.

if a woman has a hysterectomy she doesn’t stop being a woman. You are not more woman if you have stronger menstrual pains than others.

So there is an actual study about this?! I’d love to look into it deeper for sure. Do you happen to have any links/articles I can read/research?

there definitely are scientifically papers and articles on this topic! But I am currently only on my phone and don’t have any links saved. I will see if I find something on this on the weekend though!

Gotta admit that I am not that well educated in this subject as it might seem some times.

but I know as far as biology goes that being transgender/being ‚stuck In the wrong body‘ is definitely a scientifically proven thing to exist and that you can have a biological female brain while being born with the male gender/XY chromosomes.

and for identifying themselves: there probably are possible constellations and you can’t really generalize. I am friends with a trans-man (born woman) that definitely only identifies himselves as male both for gender and identity.

aaand don’t be sorry, you show interest and an open mind on this topic and that should definitely be acknowledged. No one can expect from any of us to have all the information but you are asking for it in a respectful way, so there seems to be nothing ignorant about it.

Hey @Mooks, no problem. Thank you honestly.

    And thank you 🥺

I’m always so scared to ask certain things about these kinds of subjects because it can be pretty touchy and a sensitive topic to elaborate on.

I also have a bit of fear when addressing/complimenting someone in person when it comes to pronouns. I feel some would take it offensively if I ask what they identify as and I never want it to seem like that.

You’re the best! Thank you. 💜

    @GoodBoyKaru said:

Okay, allow me to preface this by saying I am cis and I'm not 100% on everything I'm saying. That said, I'll try my best to explain it.

As I know it, you have gender identity and you have biological sex. Gender identity is the gender you identify as- it can be male, female, non-binary, agender, etc. This forms the pronouns that you'd use- for example, I identify as a guy, so I go by he/him (though that's being questioned lately if I should try out he/they for a bit but that's a struggle for a different day). Gender identity is fluid and can change over time.

Then there's biological sex, which is the gender you are assigned at birth based upon your genitals. This is what is changed when people have "the operation"- they have the genitals and thus biological sex changed.

Regardless of this, if a woman is mtf trans she is a real woman and should be respected as such. If a man is ftm trans he is a real man and should be respected as such.

So, to answer your question, as far as I know they identify with what they either have- or would like to- transition into.

Again, though, I am cis and this is based upon my experience with transgender friends. If I have gotten something wrong, please feel free to correct me.

I'm gonna tag @MadLordJack here because she's trans (and I think she's okay with me mentioning it since she did last night) and can probably answer your questions better.

You should check both channels out, their videos are really good and they do go into some science stuff when they talk about the less nicer parts. There are quite a few studies that specifically touch on the subject of gender dysphoria, not gonna get into it too much, as I don't want some people to get possibly theirs triggered!

It's a bit of a complicated topic, but basically, trans men are real men and trans women are real women and they're all valid, including those who are nb/trans masc/femme c: It is not always necessary to transition either... it can be costly for some and in many countries it's very very tedious to do so, many restrictions, the wait times are insane in gender clinics... it's complex and I don't wanna get too much into it, as it can get lead to extensive discussions, but it can be hard. Not everyone also wants to transition and presents themselves in other ways, which is also perfectly fine and doesn't make them invalid! Everyone feels different, it's not a black and white thing actually either.

Identity is also a whole different boat, too! Be who are you most comfortable as... That's the best I can say, if you feel good with yourself, that's awesome, I'm glad! Showing interest is also good, it's always good to have an open mind and wanting to learn!

Thank you so much for commenting @Gay Myers (Luzi)! 💜

Sorry I can’t. I’m too busy eating my BTS happy meal since I’m clearly a K-Pop stan.

Darn. You caught me. I gotta share play with you tonight so you can see me 4K at 5 gens with Trickster because I’m just that damn good. I won’t completely miss every blade I throw and dip to 15 FPS every time I raise a blade like it’s a PowerPoint.

I must see this. It sounds magnificent 😂💜

You’re just saying that because you have an Elodie profile picture so you clearly supported that disastrous Binding of Kin chapter.

Bet you’re also a Twins main.

*in case anyone takes this seriously. It’s satire*

You obviously are a filthy k-pop stan because you have a Trickster Profile Pic.

    Get out of here.

Tbh, I had 2 of the best feeling matches yesterday, and they were consecutive too. (both as a rank2 Nemesis).

Game 1: Played so optimally that I made 2 people DC half way through the match (I’m not happy for the other two that stayed. Sorry that they ruined the game for you).

Game 2: SWF flashlight clicking survivors and I 4k. God that felt amazing.

What makes you feel so great while playing DBD?

The characters honestly. As much as some Killers/Survivors are portrayed to be based off of the player, I absolutely love them. Can’t wait for the Funko’s. I’m getting every single one 💜

Well thank you but really, I'm not sure if I deserve it. I feel bad for the poor player who had to slug (I would never allow someone to remain slugged, I honestly don't know how I missed downing her) and then, after sitting there for however long she had to, crawling around and seeing every other player die one after the next, THEN get that final chance to escape, I really do feel like a heel for hooking her. I know it's the point of the game, I just don't like that it turned out that way. I rarely play killer, when I do play killer I rarely play aggressively, and when I do I'm rarely experienced enough to get a 4K, so I guess it was just wanting to finally get one recorded that led me to go ahead and finish the match, but looking back she's exactly the kind of survivor who I think should have been given the mercy escape. I even apologized after the match but they were either on console or had already moved on, there was no response.

I'm the world's nicest killer, I swear. Lol.

But yeah, Elodie's cool, and I've used Claudette hundreds and hundreds of times. It's weird, I'm a straight member of the community but I find it more fun to use female survivors for some reason. I think I have more sympathy for them? I'm not sure.

You don't feel that you can relate to Adam and Tapp?

In a way I do feel I can relate to them, but I personally love female characters and since I am a female myself, its easier to identify with Elodie and Claud more.

But if you want to talk more, I will post on your wall so we don’t continue to flood this thread xD Just let me know!!

LOL I like that you changed your avatar to Elodie after all that. Well, you did say that you wanted to be beautiful and refreshing. :)

I agree, there's too much negativity regarding this game. Way too much. Way too many heated arguments about so many things, many of them so incredibly petty. In a world where so much is wrong, it's a shame that more people can't just enjoy a game together.

Funnily enough, this reminds me of a match I played about 24 hours ago. It was only my 3rd or 4th 4K (again, I rarely play killers and when I do, I'm usually relatively peaceful). I've been learning the Doctor and becoming a little more comfortable with him, so I raised some of his levels and got some extra stuff to see how he'd be once he powered up a bit. It was a good close match, very back and forth, until before I realized it I'd managed to hook two people and down the third. It dawned on me that all of a sudden, just like that, the match could be close to over. There was one gen left. What do I do?

I don't like camping so I ran around a bit but the hooks were close so I didn't stray too far as I carried the third survivor to her hook. By this time the other two players died and I began looking for the fourth. Soon enough, the third survivor died. Was the fourth survivor hiding? Eventually I heard groans and found her on the ground. At some point I'd managed to slug her and didn't realize it. I remembered the last time I'd hit her and thought that she managed to jump through a window and run off. The poor girl had apparently been crawling around for at least a minute and I honestly didn't know. I felt bad.

I got her up and started walking to the nearest hook which, given the last deaths, was a bit distant. As I walked I thought "she's probably gonna wiggle free. What should I do if she does"? Normally I play for fun and goofing around when I'm the killer, but this time I was testing my actual skill with one and doing well. Before I could really come to an answer she got loose and started running. Instinctively I went after her. "This will be one of my only 4Ks, and I'm actually recording this one. I should take her out and have this match as a keepsake". I caught up quickly and downed her. I hooked her and felt even worse.

My point? I got a 4K and felt guilty. And to be honest, I still do!

    Awww!

Well thats very rare to feel guilty for getting a 4K. (Rare in a good way, I mean)

I’m a very nurturing person in general (maybe you are too) so I tend to have a lot of pity on Survivors when I play Killer, especially because I know how it feels to have a rushed and unfun experience being a Survivor Main. I, too rarely play Killer because its so pressuring and intimidating to me so just like you, I usually play friendly trials just to have fun wholesome matches. It was sweet of you to consider the game ending too fast and stalling a bit. Congrats on the 4K by the way! 💜

Edit: I love Elodie as a character btw xD her and Claudette are the only characters I can really identify with since they’re both of African American decent.

It's cool, I'm glad that we were able to conclude the discussion peacefully.

When I play as killer I get anxious. I don't like all the attention being on me, I don't regularly play multiplayer games and I don't like to stand out, especially when I'm inexperienced. I also prefer the role of survivor from a gameplay standpoint, so I don't play killer much which just continues the cycle. Thus, when I DO play killer, I generally go easy and just play to have fun. I've found that I enjoy farming as the killer and just goofing around, letting the survivors get points as they see that I'm not out to sweat them. Usually at least one of two survivors catch on and give me ways to soak up some points in return. I watch them escape with a nod, they ask me to swat them on the way out, everyone's made some points without having to stress. I like it. I completely understand where you're coming from on being respectful to a killer who, as you said, is willing to hand out a gift.

The trouble I saw was in assuming that kicking Victor was an attempt to sabotage the game, because it sounds as if she was just having fun (or maybe even earning some points for herself, I can't recall if kicking Victor awards any). More so though it was the idea of punishing her. It wasn't so much that she may not have been trying to screw you guys over, but moreso that, if the match were reported and reviewed, you guys would have been in violation of the rules, not her - because you were, by eliminating her, trying to force a farming session on her. She may very well have thought that she was continuing to play along before, in her eyes, YOU guys turned on her, you know?

Anyway just food for thought, be careful if you farm. I wouldn't be on it so much if I hadn't seen the mods specifically telling someone else not to force it.

I try to be as peaceful as I can on here, even if I don’t agree with someone’s stance. There enough negativity flowing around & I’m a Unicorn. I’m supposed to be refreshing to be around and beautiful to look at xD

But all joke aside, I do see your point. I still think that she deserved it though. No kicking innocent & sweet Victor’s or I kick you.
