I had that once. 1 guy looped me, the other had small game and disarmed every trap I had. I felt so weak. They even bullied me after the gates were powered.Peanits said:@Tsulan said:

Has been over a year since then, but I still remember the humiliation of that match.

I think it's fine as is. I'm a dirty trapper main and have been pretty much the whole time since the alpha, and I can't say I've ever felt like I needed to carry more traps. It's nice luxury, but you can usually do just fine by going between unset traps as you check generators. If people are consistently disarming your traps, I'd suggest putting them in less obvious places. Windows and pallets are very predictable, and people will check them for traps. You can usually counter this by placing them somewhere along a loop in tall grass but not directly in the pallet or window itself. Typically people will check the window/pallet, see nothing, and then just assume the entire loop is untrapped. You also want to predict where people are going to run in a chase and try to lure them into your traps. You know people are going to go from pallet to pallet, so try placing them in narrow passages between loops, or in a straight shot between one pallet and another with clear LOS. Chances are the survivors are going to look around, see that next pallet, and then make a beeline over in that direction. You can force the survivors to run in a certain direction by positioning yourself correctly, sorta' like a shepherd. They want to run away from you, so if you have a trap to the left, swing right. They'll think they're gaining some distance on you, and then they'll step right in your trap. I was a trapper main. But he struggles on high ranks. He loses to much time tracking and picking up his own traps.
Either start with all traps armed or let him reload his traps at lockers.
He's not powerful enough, to justify that survivors can nullify his power and even completely remove it temporarily.
I've played a bunch of trapper at high ranks and can't say I've had that issue. Definitely less so now that the default setting time is so fast. The way I always look at it is a ~10 second loss now to save a minute+ later on, because one successful trap instantly ends a chase. Sometimes even a chase you never even started while you're chasing someone else.
I reached rank 1 with Freddy. Does that mean, that he's fine and totally viable on high ranks?
No, but it's the same logic you applied to trapper.
Just because someone dedicates a huge amount of time to master a killer, doesn't mean that the killer is balanced. It just means, that the person adapted and makes almost no mistakes.
Lefty plays trapper only. I still see how 3 survivors escape sometimes. To end a chase you never started, traps would have to hold a survivor longer. Not this rng bullshit we have right now.
Yesterday I stepped mid chase into a trap and could free myself on the first try, before the killer could reach me. A trap should be an actual threat, not just a minor nuisance.
Billy's chainsaw is a threat. Nurse's blink is a threat. A trap that holds you for 3 seconds and which can be completely nullified, isn't a threat.
There is no way to disable the blink of the nurse for 3 minutes. Why can survivors disable a trap? All killers should be equally powerful on high ranks. Otherwise we'll stay with the current meta of 2-3 valid killers on rank 1.
Why have so many, if no one play's them?I do agree with you on the RNG of trap struggling. I'd personally like to see it changed to a regular 10 second interaction (+/- for addons, less time for slippery meat). I've been on both ends of it and it sucks just as much when you struggle twenty times and can't get out as it does when the person who stepped in your trap gets out in one try.
Though that would be a different issue entirely. I don't find time efficiency to be a huge problem on trapper. It's a tradeoff of set up time for shorter chases later in the game. There's definitely some skill to it, but I would say that's the case with almost all killers. While you need to learn how to manage your traps and how/when to best use them as pig, the thing you need to learn for trapper is how to set up traps in good positions on the fly.
I ain't saying trapper is top tier, but to say that he's not viable at high ranks is just plain untrue. He's a standard 4.6 killer, perfectly capable in chases. Traps are the icing on the cake, allowing you to block off whichever path you wish.
Every power should give a major advantage. Something game changing. Not a minor nuisance.

The invincibility in combination with the hit registration and SB will be the like the old BT.I don't have any problems as survivor. Maybe explain your problems.
But remember, killers have been nerfed hard for 2 years. Survivors received now a minor nerf, and suddenly survivor is unplayable.I play both and on rank 1. If that matters to you.
No it won't stop talking out your ass. The survivor has a chance to do something after being unhooked. If you are right there you can still easily hit them when they start moving, there aren't that many paths available to get away from a hook like that.
Problems with survivors: drop pallet and get a stun but still get hit, slow vaulting when it should be 100% fast vaults, being locked to the unhook animation making it impossible to stop and avoid a hit if the killer comes, just to name a few. Survivors do indeed have problems, most of them bugs from weird animations.
Also I am rank 1 for both too. If you don't see problems with survivor then you are just blind. You people act like the devs should just never do anything positive for survivors. Or you act like any little thing they do to make survivors better is automatically a huge killer nerf that will totally ruin killer. No, you are making a mountain out of a molehill. Polishing up a few animations won't suddenly make killer unplayable.
That's not balanced. But you don't want balance. You only want your ez match where everyone escapes.
Pallets are not supposed to be save. If you want to hit the killer, you risk being hit aswell.
Fast vaults depend on the angle. You might wanna spend some more time with vaulting.
The invincibility buff will avoid your hit.
Are those all the problems survivors have?
Boooiiii I wanna have your problems. -

Just to add onto this: if they go ahead with this change then basement parties are #########. All it takes is one guy to Kobe, you're not allowed to hit them, and they can free the rest of the hooked Survivors.LOL no. They aren't talking about giving survivors seconds of invincibility. They are talking about giving them invincibility UNTIL THEY HAVE CONTROL OF THEIR CHARACTER. That means you can't hit them until they can act. Literally only applies the unhook/kobe animation itself, as currently you can hit them during that animation (when they have no control) and it counts. Now they have a MOMENT to dodge a hit. If you are standing right there and just wait for the animation to finish you will be able to hit them down. Just wait until you see them move after the animation is finished SMH.

imo survivors don't deserve any buffs for a few patches since they review bombed the game and killers still aren't the power role. Except at rank 21. Pallet drops are borked right now because sometimes it does the long animation which means you get hit. You guys act like there are no issues playing survivor when there definitely are. I can tell who are the killer mains here. You basically want them to just totally ignore any problems survivors have and only focus on killers because that's all that is important to you.

While I don't use exploits and don't support this aptitude, I can understand that some killers think "payback time" for all the matches that have been held hostage by survivors which used exploits.
That being said, report him. -
Had a match where 1 dc during the loading screen and another 1 right after the start. I decided to let the other 2 do gens, hook, unhook, heal, and escape after reaching max points.TheHourMan said:
That's interesting. Makes sense though. If one player wants to rush the match and just get their pip while everyone else wants a long match for bp, what then? Or a more likely scenario, if one person wants a quick pip while everyone else is just playing for fun and doesn't care how long the match drags on.SenzuDuck said:One of the most annoying things in this game is when killers want to farm points and they continue to do so at the expense of the gameplay.
I'm pretty sure they've said it's banable if it affects another player, therefore if the survivors are just trying to play the match but you constantly try and farm and don't kill them It can be punishable.
However if everyone is just farming and messing about I think it's ok, or if a survivor stays at the end ofthe match and you just mess about it's fine, but if it affects another player (farming someone off the hook, letting a survivor pull them off and repeating until the others are dead is punishable).
The funny thing with this match was that it was actually a very good match, post match chat aside. They made good escapes and I made several good insidious jumpscares (dropping from the second floor right next to them with the chainsaw going) and overall it was still competetive. Two of them nearly bled out on the ground even without the hooks. I suppose fun is subjective though and a person wanting a quick match would be very annoyed by this.
One of them: "I made a video, enjoy your ban!"
Some time later I had a similar situation, I didn't let them farm and ended the match quickly: "noob killer, went full tryhard with only 2 survivors, reported!"
Never received a game ban. -

Devs only added it after survivors lobby dodged non stop until they got into the same lobby as their friends (funny how those same survivors want lobby dodging killers to get banned). The game isn´t balanced around SWF. It makes many perks redundant and gives players an unfair advantage.
I understand that SWF is a lot of fun, and that it will stay forever. But i think, the devs should introduce a game intern voice chat and balance around that. Instead of giving survivors more and more information.

No, you wouldn't be able to regain any stacks.IronWolf115 said:@Tsulan said:
PWYF is currently garbage. Your proposal wouldn't change that. Killer loses to much time tracking, hitting and then losing the obsession. My approach would be to get a 3 or 4% stack for every first hooked survivor. Just like BBQ.
Lose all stacks when you kill your first survivor. At that pont though you are inevitably going to lose your stacks for simply doing your objective and then it would be much harder to build up stacks again because it requires multiple survivors to be hooked. The obsession needs to come into play with these perks to add the risk/reward factor to them so that is why I put up these ideas.
The goal would be to hook everyone twice before trying to kill them. It's risky, because the more survivors are alive, the faster gens get done.
It would drastically reduce tunnelling. Since the killer would want to keep survivors alive as long as possible.
Maybe add a condition, that when all 4 are alive when the gates are powered, killer gets to keep his stacks. -

Yes, it´s still possible to stand next to the hook, but survivors can still unhook.
My rant is basically because i´ve seen streamers accuse Freddy of being a facecamper. (duh)You said "Here is how the devs describe camping" and they literally describe camping facecamping as being 1m within the hook, hard camping as 1-8m of the hook etc etc.
I specify facecamping as you know face to face with the killer until i'm dead FACECAMPING. Blocking the hook was a separate issue - they're still in the same position.
But they explained in that very video, that it was previously impossible to unhook and even showed what we have now. The possibility to unhook from every angle.
Face camping WAS blocking the hook as killer. Making it impossible for other survivors to unhook. Now it is possible. I´ve played with SWF groups, where someone claimed to be face camped, while the killer was 10 meters away. The name is being missused. Yes, a killer still can stand in the face of the survivor, but other survivors can unhook (not the wisest choice if the killer is Leatherface, but at least they have the possibility).
He literally says "Facecamping is where you're within 1m of the hook looking at the survivor". Just because they explained you can now unhook from any side doesn't take away from the fact they're in the same position.

"what it stops, is that right now if the killer stands right in front of the hook, there is no way to unhook"Right, so the swivel hook stops hook blocking, they never mentioned face camping at all.

"what it stops, is that right now if the killer stands right in front of the hook, there is no way to unhook" -

I would love it, if the game was eSport ready. But there are to many balance issues right now. A lot of work. Not sure if the devs have anything planned in this direction. The community right now is the most toxic thing i´ve ever encountered. Not even LoL was that toxic (at least not, back when i played it years ago). There need to be more consequences for being toxic in and after the match.
I guess you never played CS:GO, there people have mics, if something doesen't go their way, they will begin to tell you how they slept with your mother/sister/gf or whatever, maybe even your dog if their into that, haha
There´s a mute button.

Is where it was posted.
Not the general forum at all.Stop trying to make out your trolling wasn't deserved of a ban.
Also - curious as to your opinion on facecamping, seeing as your own evidence to dispute what it is directly contradicts what you think it is.
The thread was moved AFTER i made my post.
Please don´t make stuff up. Yes, now it´s on the bug report forum. But it wasn´t when i made my post. Maybe 1 mod moved it and another mod banned. Since i rarely visit the bug report forum anyway. Also i´m not really a troll, or have you seen me trolling new players or insult people?Care to specify the face camping thing? My opinion is, that facecamping (survivors being unable to unhook, because the "press M1 to unhook" promt didn´t appear) has been removed. Yes, it´s still possible to stand next to the hook, but survivors can still unhook.

Don´t worry. It´s only considered farming if the killer teams up with a survivor to farm (and kill) other survivors against their will. This can get you banned.
But for example, if only 2 loaded into a match or 2 dc right at the start with 5 gens. And you decide to let them unhook and do gens, maybe even escape. THAT is allowed.

While i think those might be to many game modes, it might be possible to add them under the same hardcore game mode with different BP&shard multiplier.
But i don´t agree on the sound. You don´t get visual hints, but you can hear survivors screaming. This would also benefit survivors, because no one would know if someone was hook or where they are hooked. They could just hear the distant scream and get an approximate direction with a headset. The barebone horror mode would feel like a complete different game.
Yeah I just threw that out there for feedback since they could even do it as a rotating game mode thing each week. So you could try a different mode each week or queue up for regular mode too. Some of that could be combined some down to 4 modes total 1 for each week and if they proved popular keep them going., The sound was probably a little overboard since that's a bit much like you say.
If you give a general idea similar to the doctors screams you know somethings up but not what. The same is true for skill check failures you get a general idea where it was but until you see it. There's lots of different things you could do to make it more sinister like darker but way more wide open. But the survivors would have small spaces they could hide around.
But no windows or pallets and no footsteps except within a certain range but no tracks. Also no endless looping spots. Some places similar to Macmillan Estates where's there single walls etc.
Something that gives the survivor a feeling like he´s playing Alien Isolation, Outlast or Soma. Where the survivor feels powerless and terrified.

Aren't they working on a new report system right now?
They are, but no one knows any details.
The new report system should have filter options for useless reports like "killer camped me", "killer tunneled me", "killer used perk X", "survivor used flashlight", etc. -

Can we unfix Huntress Lullaby and Devour Hope? The Hex Totems already have the tendency to spawn in the worst locations so revealing them before they even get their first token is horrible and straight up kills them. And survivors should also not be able to see the Killers perks to [BAD WORD] with Hex and endgame perks even more by ghosting. I had strangers on PS4 warning me of the Killers perk out of spite, i can only imagine this practice being standard in SWF.
Thats all.
Most of the Hex perks aren´t strong enough anyway to justify them being a Hex perk. They should just convert them into normal perks. Maybe twist some numbers on DH. But that´s it.

But hey, tinkerer is being exploited up the booty right now. They'll both get fixed soon.
Are you sure? I played something between 30 and 40 matches as survivor since the patch and i never had a permanent tinkerer killer. Just the normal version + billy out of nowhere jumpscare. Who recovered his terror radius after a few seconds.

Although finding addons would be kind of cool too. Or maybe even extracting an addon from the corpse of a dead survivor. This could cause tunneling.

I'd love an all no perk, no auras anything mode and also no one should see anyone else's items or name sin lobby. As @Peanits said silhouettes only so no lobby dodging and no excuses but you own bad play. The extra bp would be nice and probably throw in a bonus ot iridescent for that as well. For a all hands on deck type of que give the killers an extra bp/iridescent bonus but don't let them know how many might be swf. To really make it interesting you could add the following game modes to it.
Anything goes - This one is for the those wearing the pants in the family so to speak. This mode would feature any items and addons/offerings you want to bring. But still no perks and still follow above idea.
Barely there - This mode you could only bring 1 item or offering not both and no addons.
Can I get a hand - This mode you could bring 1 item and 1 offering only, still no perks.
Damn i'm good - This mode features 1 item, 1 addon, and 1 offering but still no perks.
Everything but the kitchen sink - This is where the true ones live and die. In this mode there's nothing but your wits to win or lose. In addition to no perks, you get to bring nothing but your skills and prayers. So no items, addons, offering or anything. There's no screams allowed not even when you get hit, no terror radius, no sounds no nothing for anyone. No footsteps, no crows, no gen auras unless they get completed.
To make it even more Diabolical exit gates when powered aren't shown to anyone and won't show up on the map until they're powered. So be careful running around looking for the exit gates sinc you might run into someone else.
Frack mode - In this mode you get to choose your killer or survivor but nothing else, as the games loading you'll get a random assortment of perks, items and addons or nothing at all. You could get a key but with a flashlight addon.
Now last but not least there's the
HURT ME PLENTY mode - This mode will really test your skills out because just like the kitchen sink mode it's difficult. But wait how is that so, well glad you asked.
In this mode your killer, survivor and map are all chosen at random and you won't know till game loads. It'll be a outline only until it loads in. But once it does it's off to the races so to speak.
While i think those might be to many game modes, it might be possible to add them under the same hardcore game mode with different BP&shard multiplier.
