Cross platform would help those waiting times for sure. Blessed to be playing on PC here, started on Xbox One and the PC was like a whole new game almost. Though cross platform wouldn't be fair from a control standpoint. Mouse and Keyboard for the win. Unless, you really like controller I suppose.

As with any killer, unless you play that specific one often enough it can be challenging to find out the quirks of their power and use it to its full potential. Maybe you already have a lot of time on clown, but in my experience it just takes some time . . or a lot of time to get a killer down well.

Only way to make it the relaxed game it always has been is equal out the event points for killer and survivor. It's too easy as survivor to get max 45 event points at least 1/3 game and the other 2/3 its easy to get at least 20 event points granted your team knows how to do gens.Killers are playing dirty to maximize their event points. And I don't blame them.
Are you kidding? Have you even played survivor? Looking at your BS conclusion I assume not. It's not easy at all to get those 45 event points when it's literally all against each other, and that just for a piece of clothing.
That's how people behave to each other in the real world
You need to have a balls of steel to not surrender. It is unfortunate some cannot fathom other players doing well at something that they personally are not. Therefor it must be false.
"balls of steel not to surrender" and a brainless mindset to disbelief anything you can't do yourself.
There is so much of that on these forums.

For me the biggest challenge with learning to play survivor is map knowledge and getting better at being chased, camera placement ect. It is a learning curve from killer, but in my experience much more relaxed once you get accustomed to the heartbeat and music.

I find this doesn't really keep people from standing around and staring at you though.
True that. I use it in hopes survivors can be smart about the plays they make. All we can do is hang around and hope.
Honestly I think it's a wasted slot. Smart Survivors will know you're getting camped just from the heartbeat. Makes it useful on Wraith, Myers, and Insidious users though.
I agree, it does seem wasted, but I attempt to play survivor perks less try hardy and more team oriented. Though perks don't always prove their worth when used in that fashion. Kindred, open handed, wake up and empathy to name a few. Not very helpful solo, but if it helps the overall effort.

I had a swf match where they were all dress Feng and made my game asinine I only managed 1 hook and broke one lantern before they all had a party at the exit gate. The last one out had d strike but got caught cause they had to gloat then dc'd before I could hook them
This event is far from over. Still a chance the developers might introduce something that might make game play less try hard and more fun for everyone.

The blood point gain for using the event offerings are so low this time around it's not worth the investment of any blood points for the chance to get a handful.

Like i don't mean to sound too complainy, but i've been playing more survivor than i usually would for the event, and ######### is up with the toxicity on killers side. Like out of the 8 games i've played, every single one has ended in a death, and though some of them were fair enough, 2 were face camps, and 1 was a lagswitcher, and most of the others i was tunnelled all game. Sure i tried hiding, but it's difficult when the killers on you the moment you're unhooked.I even had to start running DS just to last longer than 5 minutes. Like seriously, why are killers to toxic in the eventFor the reasons you probably want to play survivor for the event. Maybe they feel forced to play killer because of long wait times and what not. If you are forced to play something you don't want, some might see that as an excuse to be overly campy and try hard.
I play survivor for this event as the event points are very much in the survivors favor. Though I don't blame any killer that wants to camp/tunnel/be a pain. This event has brought out the worst in killers/survivors alike.
-
Instead of a 'Okay survivor I give up button' the gates need to be on a 15 second timer by default and the hatch closes permanently after 2 minutes. Survivors want to stay and gamble with death, that's fine. I will find you eventually :-)
-
No doubt survivors will see this as OP and rage.
Insults incoming . .

The idea is cool but all of these events create greed and ruin the game for everyone, it just turns it into the Hunger Games. Everyone rush out and get your ######### before the others and make sure you get what you need, screw everyone else.
For Killers, the Survivors can screw them over just as easy as every event and now they get less points so they have to work harder. This entire game was built around teamwork, we need an event that requires it, not fun? Don't play the game and don't make a team game if you're going to complain that teamwork isn't fun. These greed filled events shatter the community even more so than the normal game so we need events that REQUIRE helping each other. And we need cooler Objectives for Killer than just hooking, the smashing lanterns is cool but they screwed it up with the teeny tiny timer that good SWF can destroy instantly.
Events always seem survivor sided, or killer sided. Doubt they will ever be able to balance it out unless they keep the core game play the same and give a fair distribution of event points across both types of play.

Right now i feel bad for not getting Deliverence when it was in shrine, in this event is a vital perk if you are a solo survivor. After doing 2,5 generators by myself and rescued all the 3 survivors from the hook at least once when the killer got me down nobody comed to even try to save (even if the killer was in the other part of the map, lmao). I don't know why they made a event like this, the only thing survivors care about is escaping with theire lantern and genrush. I always go to save people, but they never come back. I think i'll start playing Adam 'till the event is done, even if i have him at level 1.About killers
99% noed with bitter murmur
99% bbqBut i also meet nice killers that saw that i was the only survivor that saved people and when they got me down, they just let me escape. Looks like some killers feels solo survivors pain.
From this event i learn that if you are a solo survivor your team mates are the killer, not the killer himself. The killers are a lot nicer than 90% of the survivors
This event is made for survivors to compete. Making solo the way to go. The survivors who are playing the event will play much less altruistic, play smart, and wait for their opportunity to escape. It's not very much fun to play that way, but if you are playing to max event points 9/10 it's the only way you are going to rack them up.

Good for you that you let your team die and escape with those points, but not everybody wants to play like a selfish prick for just cosmetics that add nothing else to the game.
You are SO stupid, it is easy to get 45 event points at least 1/3 of the time. ######### "it's too hard" survivors that cause terrible games aside. Though the points are very survivor sided on paper, the entire design has caused survivor point average to be horrible. Played 3 survivor matches tonight, and 15 yesterday. The point average was 12 or less. Survivors are hiding, sandbagging, and otherwise screwing over each other in order to escape via hatch with lantern. Killers are running Mori while hard camping. It is nuts!I average 20 or more points with killer easily. Just chasing and hooking. I have yet to get above 30 in a match, but that is ok. Better than getting 4-8 with the occassional 12.
This event make Dead By Daylight what it should ALWAYS be, a survival game. No tea bagging, no opening gates and going back for saves, no over the top altruistic BS. Survivors (myself included) want to get the heck out at all costs (to secure those event points).
While this event doesn't make the game the horror design it was set out to be, but it puts survivors in a state of mind they should always have. This event totally changes the meta into what it should be all the time.

Only her AddOns require a total rework at some point.Being a nurse main killer, not a killer main, I have tons of fun playing against her. I hear that first teleport in game and get excited "This is going to be fun" best way to learn how to play against a killer is to play that killer in my opinion.
And if I get my butt handed too me . . "OMFG . . that was fun" seriously.

I assume the devs want to maintain a certain difficulty for earning bloodpoints, so here’s an alternative idea for redeeming unwanted items: exchange them at the Item Bazaar! This could be a different page in the store, but would need to be specific to each character. If you want that very rare purple item (white ward perhaps) the you need to exchange 4 of the dusky brown common items for it. 3 yellow items, or 2 green items would also work. This is just a quick idea, so the devs would need to work out the exchange rates more precisely. Perhaps the items available in the Bazaar are limited and the inventory updates weekly like the Shrine of Secrets.
What do you think?
Indeed, if the devs want to be stingy with giving blood points back at the VERY least let us combine same rarity items for 1 level above the current rarity. It makes no sense at all to force players to hold onto and observe every time we pick items/offerings at all those we will never use.
And at the VERY VERY least tell us players WHY you will never implement such a system . .

I'll tell you the same thing I told the other guy frustrated with playing a survivor. Try playing killer for a while if survivor is too frustrating. If that is too frustrating then perhaps this isn't the game for you.I switched to killer a long time ago and will never go back. It is far and above better and less frustrating than survivor. You don't depend on crap team members that do nothing, or sand bag. You dictate whether the killer is prick in the match or not, and tons more BP. I'll take it.
PS - Every match of survivor I have played today is a camper or a tunneler. It is absolutely unbareable gameplay.
There's plenty to take into consideration on both sides. Killers can tunnel and camp, that is a poor plan for game play as you'll get far more blood points if you simply play the game as intended. None the less tunneling and camping are part of the game, but this event has blown it way out of proportion.
In a time limited event people will play however they need too in order to maximize return for the time spent. Which is why playing survivor is the best choice at the moment. More event progression per hour. After this event its back to 50/50 game time on both sides.
Based on post game chat in a few survivor matches I was in, non of the killers cared about getting points. They only cared about denying survivors points. It is what it is. I get much more as a killer right now.
I hate to hear that's been your experience. Though you are not the first I read having this problem with the killer DCing and all to deny event points. Thankful I haven't ran into that as of yet, but things can change as this event drags on.
-
During this event it is highly advantageous to NOT be over altruistic or weigh the strong possibility of it ruining your chances of getting that sweet event progression. That is just the way it is during this event.
-
That rings true for most of the threads on this topic. Event survivor sided you don't have enough killers. Event killer sided you don't have enough survivors. .

The response that got all this started was in regards to the OP referencing the event and how it seems survivor sided (in regards to how much easier it is to gain event points)
When AdanAR replied
"Like I said in other post, it's for the event dude. Killer mains become somewhat idiots in these days and becomes more tunnelers and stupid af. It's so boring to play with these kind of dudes but you can't do anything that juking better and go to other match"
The reply had nothing at all to with the OP post and was raging at the FACT that from a killers perspective trying to gain event points was not POSSIBLE to gain at the same rate as survivor.
Killers are using annoying yet valid tactics in order to try to get as many event points as possible as quickly as possible. Though tactics like tunneling and camping are annoying they will die down once this event is over.

I don't know, when I started to get long survivor queue times, to check whether it is just me or not, I went to twitch and saw that streamer survivor queue times are long as well. For the majority, I believe, queue times is bad for survivor right now.
I am on board with you and if it is true that players waiting minutes at a time for a game, then killer might be the best option vs less game time. Though survivor for me personally has never had a wait time longer than 30 seconds ever. Though a wait time in general is unusual, but thanks to the event it is as such for the time being.

I don't think the grind was intentional for the grind, but for the randomness of perk selection while leveling.
Web -> Chance -> Grind -> Perk/Add-on/Items/offerings ect.
Without the grind supposedly you would have access to the best of everything out the gate. While the grind isn't necessary it makes the game less linear unlocking random options over a period of time. Imagine how boring it could be if everything was more or less meta across the board.

It's so boring to play with these kind of dudes but you can't do anything that juking better and go to other matchEvents don't make killers stupid and sweaty. You should try gaining coin progress as the killer, I guarantee you wont try more than once because its near impossible to get more that 15-17 points per game at rank 1 as everyone is usually very efficient making games too quick and much more difficult for killer to gain event progression. A stealthy survivor can easily gain 45 points per game. Less so if the survivor is a moron.
You want to play Dead By Daylight as a toxic cry baby survivor? That's fine, as it is YOU need KILLERS to even be able to play. Grow up and open your eyes to the reality, not your lazy 5 second perception of why killers do what they do during events.
(copied my response from the same idiotic post you made in another thread)

I understand that I "guess" I have to take one for the team in order for them to gen rush the killer, but the downside of this is that "I" "Me" "Myself" yes... I want to enjoy the game too. It's the killers that come into a trail purposely planning to camp the first person they see that pisses me off dude. 😡That's exactly the mentality that brought about camping as an issue. Survivors didn't want to bite the bullet, so instead they made camping worthwhile for Killers and blamed Killers for taking advantage of their bad plays.
Easy solution to being camped . .
Are you ready for this tactful insight ? ?
DON'T BE THE FIRST CAUGHT ! !
Bonus: YOU shouldn't camp for the save. Enjoy the game.

It's for the event dude. Events makes killers incredibly stupid and sweaty af. (like if they were paid for it, it's ridiculous) And all are running Franklin's (pathetic). I have my keys in case of emergency and i lost some 'cause of that idiot perk. Also teammates are so dumb too, nobody's does gens.Events don't make killers stupid and sweaty. You miss understand, its the hooking action that gets you points not the hooks themselfs. You miss understand, you only get points for hooking when its being used for the first time. When the fireworks go off, any hook used more than once will not give the firework affect which should clue you in that you get nothing extra for said hook.
I completely agree with OP since hooks can only be used once for coin progression. A color scheme would help greatly.

If you are close enough as survivor to count her fingers you haven't much of a chance left unless she ran out at that point. And nurse has glowing balls of light that float within her hand showing how many more blinks she has to the killer.
Not bad though, keep them wheels turning. QoL changes are nice.

Holy cow! That's a great idea. Kind of like blood hound on legion. Just frenzy them and follow their blood as you look at the ground ROFL. It's so . . sad, but we get a chuckle.

From a survivor perspective envelopes are not important, being stealthy and keeping an eye out for the hatch is. Don't forget that key!
Hardly get any doors open at rank 1, so hatch is the best way to get out with the lantern.

I play both survivor and killer. Though I enjoy survivor more I play killer often for the easy 26,000 BP + at the end. Survivors have the luxury of bringing items in and keeping them if they survive and can find items with add-ons should they have such perks. That is BP they save within every game they play potentially. Though I do understand where you are coming from. If I escape as survivor with 18,000 BP + I say I did very well lol. Survivors have to share BP gains within a trial. Killer gets all the BP to itself which is the big factor in killers being BP machines. That makes sense but playing solo is so difficult because you'll encounter randoms. Of course you have no idea what their intentions are; if they're messing around, wanna help the killer, or was basically carried into a higher rank and in result end up playing poorly or dying fast, getting tunneled to death, getting moried very early in the game, the list goes on honestly.
Of course it doesn't mean it happens EVERY game because all players are different including how the killer plays but oh my god man. It just sucks.
I totally understand your point of view really. Not sure what they would do to boost BP gains on the survivor side.

Slightly off topic, but I believe a 'recycle' option of some sort needs to be implemented for useless items (by ones opinion).
Say the broken key aura reading ability only might seem fine for a new player getting the hang of things, but I will never ever use it + its aura reading add ons along with many other types of add ons and offerings ect.
Before we get anything new, we need to have a system to get rid of the old we will never use, maybe 50% blood point return for selling?
