Looks like it's back to the stone age. We haven't seen the player base this low in 2 years. And it still falls with time.
Getting players to log in for daily rewards can potentially artificially inflate peak player count, but the average proves how many players stay to play.

I cannot disprove this any more than you can prove this statement. However, using a bit of brain power 🤯 considering how poorly optimized this game is on consoles and hand held devices, the amount of bugs and imbalance this game has in general. And you tout unfounded claims such as this.

However, my opinion is that Dead by Daylight is a shell of it's former self. I'd be willing to bet the developer could unlock everything, for everyone and the player base would spike for a month or two and die down almost as quickly as it rose. The game is not that deep and the content we get (killers/survivors/perks) only serve to increase the grind for most.
My opinion, there is so much content available and more pushing it's way through that anything new is no longer special. The content isn't crap, but for the sake of argument if a cake has 50 layers of crap, it's a crap cake 🎂
Killer design along with the perks for killer and survivor should take a minimum 1 year, better make it 2 years. Make the release of something new really special and unique. Instead of reusing perks/powers with slight tweaks or variance 😒

I really wish the developer would or could do a complete 180 on the direction of the game. Sure MMR changes only took the player base to plummet before someone in the office finally gave in and decided it's time for a change the PLAYERS want and need to enjoy the game. Simply reverting the MMR back to rank based would've been something, but it was too much to admit it was and probably is a busted system all around 😑
Make players wait to long for a fair match then it's not worth waiting.
Make players play unfair matches then it's not worth playing.
Maybe they can think of something. Only time will tell 😴

This is what happens in about 9 out of 10 matches in Dead by Daylight. I don't believe BHVR is aware how bad survivor gameplay is:

And killers are using Sloppy Butcher now that CoH is drastically nerfed. It is very unfun to take a very long time to heal, are we going to see a nerf to Sloppy Butcher???
Killers need some meaningful nerfs. Twins needs a major rework so slugging is not kindergarten easy. There is no way this game will last much longer if something is not done about how unfun and impossible survivor is.
