I am fine with it. I mean if it starts getting really bad I have a crutch perk I can always use. I am not ashamed to equip lightborn against 4 beamers.
NEVER feel ashamed to equip the best perk in the game, people just don't understand, lol

Those are still ridiculous numbers that mean very little to your average player

Survivor main here. Only play Killer occassionally, especially to get tome challenges done or for events. Because of that, I usually don't play against high caliber Survivors (though it does occasionally happen).
Well, it happened. I was matched against people that, based off of my Killer MMR, I should've never faced. And they were also my first bully squad. And let me just add, I was a T1 perk (nothing great, tbh) running Trapper.
In short, my experience was:
Let's run boil over, run to places where hooks are scarce, and to be safe, let's have one of us bring toolboxes to break the hooks and another to use flashlights. Oh, and let's teabag after we drop a pallet and body block hooks, too.
It was . . . an experience. Certainly took a lot of focus to outsmart them and use their mistakes to my advantage. In the end, I got 2k (could've gotten the 4k though. The remaining two gave up, and one even offered her item to me in the middle of a chase).
In a weird way, I feel like I was somehow initiated into The Killer Club because of those Survivors 😂
When can I get my jacket, guys?
If they wanted to use that playstyle so much... just slug em, they asked for it if they're running that kinda build

Hello, I wanted to bring my oppinion (with which most people might disagree) about existance of "Mains" in Dead by daylight, so as many knows, in any pvp games there is a word which is used for a "Preferred role or character" - main.
The preferred character or role appears from the individual player, his\her desires and preferences. It's a character or role they feel most confy and fun to play with. And also, they play this role or character most of the time, since they enjoy what fits to their desires and preferences.
Main role or character also means that, a player spend most or their time playing this specific character or role most of the time, which means they will be highly experienced with.
I want to bring some examples of what I'm trying to say...
In games like Dota, Lol or even Overwatch, (I think we all know what MOBA is...), each player have a preferred role to play as, whether it's "Carry, support, tank, etc...". They can play any role and any character they want, but they can't play (lets say) support, as efficient if their preferred role is a carry. If you know that this person always plays tanks and he\she enjoys it, you'd not give him a damage class because it will be less efficient or even maybe destructive for your team.
In a tournaments, each player of a team playing and practice his\her individual role most of the time, if not everytime. They can play a different character, but this character still be assigned with same role anyway.
Dead by daylight is no difference in my opinion.
We have players who plays more survivors, or more killers. (With killers it's more complex, different character - different main, I'm gonna say more later...)
Yes, you can play both sides equally, but even if one do, that player still have a preferred role, whether it's killer or survivor. And most likely this player plays "everything" not higher than an average, aside from his\her preferred role or character.
The player who playing both sides, will never be as a efficient and expirienced with both sides as a person who plays only 1 role or 1 killer.
The killer main can't play a survivor as efficient as a player who plays only survivors. And other way around.
The cheeky part about killers is that, the killer main can differ depending on a character they play.
To put it roughly: (For someone who knows them) SupaAlf can't play blight as efficient as Lilith Omen does. And Lilith Omen can't play nurse as efficient as SupaAlf does.
Most of the time one does insane tricks and have expirience with 1 killer, but he plays other killers or survivor pretty much on average.
Same for survivor mains, they can play any killer on average, but if they actually play a "Main role", they ofcourse going to be more efficient with it.
I'm interested on what you think about it, do you think everyone have a main character or role in Dead by daylight?
Personally, I do think that each player have a main or at least a preferred role.
Sincerely: Hag main. xD
You're right, I do have a main
...Kate and Doc

Totally works versus stealth killers....
I mean... yeah, do you not turn your camera frequently? You literally have eyes, you can utilize them, the killers (outside of Wraith or pig I guess) need LoS to get their power, if you don't feed them, they gabage

in that case it would be perfectly balanced since nurse relies on her blinks to catch people (after blinking no matter what, you'll have the SAME cooldown since fatigue isn't affected by STBFL). if you are caught by a walking nurse then you deserved to being downed
Yeah ok, but my hypothetical situation still works, imagine applying and 8 stack of STBFL on spirit or blight

One thing I’ve always been curious about but don’t have a good way to track without the game actually providing the stats is how often do killers at various MMR brackets miss attacks? Obviously the higher rated the killer the less likely they are to miss a given swing, but I always get the sense that on average players miss more often than they think they do. For instance, I suspect Unrelenting might be a bit underrated as a perk because one of the common arguments against it is that you shouldn’t ever miss an attack in the first place, but I have a sense that if you actually tracked missed attack percentages you’d find you’re missing sometimes but forgetting it happened later. In fact there’s even a bit of evidence in that in how many people complain about aim dressing “making them hit objects”, when in reality an aim dressing object hit is because the game already determined that you missed the target and is compensating by “correcting” your aim to hit something else nearby instead.
It would be kind of an interesting data point if a dev pulled stats someday on basic attack miss percentages hours played. So how often do players with less than 50 hours miss compared to people with 100 or 500 or 1000 hours? (Assuming the game tracks that stat of course. It seems like a stat that might be tracked internally for development purposes though.)
As far as me, personally I guess I roughly miss an attack or two on average per match against survivors who are actively good at dodging. If someone is exceptionally good at it maybe more, especially if I’m not in the zone timing wise. And I probably have attacks miss or get interrupted one to three times a game by pallet drops or vaults simply because I see I need to take a stab at them or lose the opportunity. My nephew on the other hand started playing the game a few weeks ago and when I was watching him he whiffed quite a lot because he didn’t have the timing and patience yet, maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of his attacks missed when survivors dodged. (Ironically when he was playing Huntress he seemed to have a better hit percentage with the hatchet than when he just swung the axe.) And while I don’t play survivor very often, occasionally when I do I’ve managed to get killers to whiff me as well even though I’m otherwise terrible at it on that side of the fence.
So out of curiosity how often do you as a killer think you miss attacks? Or on the flip side, as a survivor, how often do you dodge attacks?
Idk, people make mistakes all the time, so probably inevitably a lot

I've met twins who played very well, without having to force the slug. Of course, sometimes, they put a little pressure if needed, with Victor, but nothing too serious 🤗
Really? Huh, I guess I can't say too much because the amount of times I've seen them in like 2-3 years, is enough to count on only one hand, lol

Since everyone can agree on the composition of the Tier-List of DbD killers, at least the fact that the strongest killers are Nurse, Blight, Twins, Spirit ...
Why not a bonus of BP that the survivors who would face these "top-tiers" killers would receive? 🤗
It wouldn't change the balance of the parties involved, but it might motivate the survivors who don't like these very powerful killers.
(yes, I know, some might say that it's a shame to have to motivate a player to ... play a game but somehow ... it wouldn't hurt anyone 😁)
I'm sorry...why are Twins top tier exactly?

Killers got basekit (to an extent):
- Brutal Strength
- STBFL
- An additional 50 seconds
- and mini PGTW.
Oh they also got a 60% kill rate!
Just because one side receives a change doesn't mean the other needs and equal and opposite one, if that were the case the game balance would never change.
Tbf, that mini PGTW is...VERY VERY mini, and it's not an extra 50 seconds all the time, that only happens if one survivor is the designated gen jocky, if 3 survivors are on a gen at a time, it's an extra 10 seconds per gen, because they are getting done at the same time
-

Think about it y'all. If Unbreakable becomes becomes basekit, what are they going to give the Killers in order to compensate? Will they get shattered hope as basekit, to better handle the inevitable boon combo that occurs? Do they get buffed hexes? Hex protection? No one is really thinking of the bigger picture here. The survivors complain and complain about little things, but it only nets them more things to complain and whine about if rhe changes they want go live, but get upset when the balancing effect comes to bite them.
That's not how balance works, just because one side recieved something doesn't mean the other needs anything

When you use it, make sure to keep in mind that only Survivors with at least Tier 2 Madness see the illusions, so ideally you want the Survivor who you try to trick to be Tier 2.
Although I doubt the average player will guess you're Insidious camping, it's still best to use it after you're a bit into the game, and not like right off the bat.

Nemesis's zombies are the most annoying thing in any game I've ever played, and that's not just the saltiness talking. Why the hell can zombies not only alert the killer of your location, but also prevent you from doing generators? Not to mention the fact they block off loops mid chase which is complete BS. Never in the world should any killer have NPCs to help them, they were a dumb idea to begin with. At the very least make it so we can kill zombies if they miss an attack, just like you can with Victor. Every game with Nemesis is just unfun because he can be the worst killer to ever live and still get easy downs with his zombies.
I thought this game was about trials, where you were supposed to see how well as a team you worked against a killer, meaning that the killer's ability was also being tested. How tf is it testing a killer's ability to kill when their NPCs do like 50% of the work every game? This isn't an understatement either, it's almost a free win every game unless you have some god tier survivor that loops the killer most of the time (which only works assuming he's a garbage killer and stays on them most of the game). It's nonstop BS and I'm surprised more people rant about the Nurse than this.
Also just as a side rant, when the ######### will killer lag be fixed? One guy literally teleported behind me in a chase and got a free M1 out of it. It's not my internet either, I've triple checked.
...are you standing still? Otherwise, idk how the zombies are a problem in any case. Zombie running at you when you're on a gen? Just...go to a new one, the killer was probably on his way anyways
There's literally zero instances, unless you're an idiot or you get surprised from around the corner (although... how? They are loud as ****) that you get hit by a zombie
TL;DR: git gud

It got to the point I was swinging and missing on purpose to force out their Es. All I said in end game chat was "sus", they proceeded to berate me and leave comments on my profile. I wish there was a feature to just turn off end game chat and also to block people from being in my games.
I mean, there's a button in the bottom right corner that disables end game chat until you decide to press the button to turn it back on I believe...

About point 2, the green addon that reduces fatigue does it by only 0.3 seconds, only 10% of a 2 blink chain with no hit. No combination of addons can reduce fatigue by 50%.
About point 4, that's because Nurse is the only killer in the game that moves slower than survivors. Blight, Spirit, Wesker, Legion, etc can all chase survivors normally while waiting for their powers to recharge. Nurse can't.
About point 5, she does get a longer fatigue if she misses a blink attack.

10 minutes later the other 3 finally open the exit gate, and then blamed ME for holding the game hostage. Um hello, you all swarmed me and did literally nothing for those 10 minutes. THEY held the game hostage, THEY are the ones who refused to let the game end, THEY are the ones who left their teammate there for 10 minutes when we ALL could have moved on in less than 3.

It's simply a statistical improbability. Even the best killers don't have a 99% kill rate.
Your not competing with other players here, you're competing with maths, and trying to claim you beat it.

The solution is not to just slam the DC penalties back on, and pretend everything's right.
You should honestly take into consideration and think about WHY people DC. Find the cause and start eliminating the biggest ones.
Why do people insta-DC against Nurses and Blights? You know the answer to that, and you haven't done anything about it yet, despite the countless posts on the forums over the last several months. You can start here. Ignoring the problems is not good for the game or the players.
Why do people DC? 9/10 because they're wimps, plain and simple
