When I'm playing killer unless I'm playing Trapper, if I see either a Haddonfield field or RBD offering i shut the game down during loading to cancel the match. Put those dirty survivors back in que and it sends them a message don't use those offerings.
Those 2 maps are the worst and most unfun stressful maps in the game to play on as killer.
It doesn't send any sort of a message, heck, they probably think your power went out or something

ive had a couple games today where survivors brought RPD map offering and running boil over.
I refuse to play a match that I know won’t be fun! They did all but 1 gen and refused to go. I end up DCing and incurring a penalty.
All I want is a couple normal matches, back to not playing killer. Gg
That is no longer the elephant in the room, we got greater things to talk about

I'm kind of a lightweight but I think I could outdrink Claudette. She strikes me as even more of a lightweight than I am, so I'll take that easy victory.
I wanna say same for Meg, but something about her tells me she'd be good at handling her liquor without having that much experience doing so yet.
I mean, Dwight is probably the most lightweight right? Or did he have some in his lore? I can't remember

My favorite change might be how they finally moved on from the outdated and restricting "A <insert fitting adjective here> Killer" and finally made something new and more creative.
Also like how The Onryō is our first 'Small' Killer, good to see more variety.
Haven't looked through all the Add-ons but Cabin Sign and Ring Drawing might be her "best" ones.
Killer Perks are good, Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage might be killer with Make Your Choice.
Survivor Perks are fine, Parental Guidance might be cool with Smash Hit, Empathic Connections should've just been an Empathy buff to be honest and Boon: Dark Theory seems really good on paper but I don't see it having much use.
Overall, good and unique Chapter, though The Onryō could get some buffs, I personally find her quite weak
Uh...i believe hag is considered short

Today I was wondering how it's like to be new player, so I installed the free copy I got from Epic giveaway. First match was real potatoes, as expected, but... the second match... Holy crrrraaap! Coordinated SWF with all purple perks... OMG, if that is what killers supposed to experience on their second match ever, than no wonder people don't want to play it. Where is my supposed SBMM? Has it shot so far up after a single match? Or is it completely not working? Going to try first survivor game now...
Survivor perks (all level 3) No way these are newbies! Or do people derank that far?
1: Lithe, Self Care, Quick and quiet, Iron Will
2: Soul Guard, Unbreakable, Flip Flop, Boil Over
3: Balanced Landing, DS, Boon: Exponential, BT
4: Self Care, Iron Will, DH, Kindred
Me: Trapper with Brutal Strength and no addons.
Result: 4k
Yes, let's complain about winning

Wait prove thyself gives you bonus bp I just used it for the gen repair speed boost?
Also I mostly use BBQ for BP as there are better info perks heck I used to discordance along with BBQ just so I can maximize bp hooks with bubba like my old tactic was to act like I'm face camping so two survivors would get on a gen to notify me and than I would head over there lol
Edit so I checked and it does give you more bp but I'm going to be honest if I need more bp I would do challenges and play killer lol
Yeah, extra BP for coop actions i believe

Bro…big shout out to @Otzdarva for dropping the 10 game escape streak vid, earlier this week. In it, he explained how underrated Clairvoyance is. First of all I didn’t even know how to use the damn perk. All this time I thought it was a boon, and kept forgetting to try to use it. It’s a great perk to have in solo que, for when you encounter really bad teammates. The ones that ragequit or give up on hook when they run into Pinhead or The Artist with the new meta perks.
You just need to cleanse a totem, and if you happen to be the last survivor- hold the ability button to channel the aura of the hatch. Now as we know hatch is considered a “Draw” now, but I’ll take it over the alternative- being sacrificed for a loss. This is most satisfying when you get screwed over by MMR during non-peak hours.
Clairvoyance has a range of 64 meters! So if you’re in the middle of the map, you’ll definitely see hatch from where you're standing. This is much better than Open-Handed and Left Behind. You get further the distance for the price of one perk. The only caveat is you only get 10 seconds of aura reading per cleansed totem, so use sparingly. I wonder if Open-Handed would extend it to 70 meters (really not needed)?
Oh- also good for games where you had good teammates but not so nice killers, like a tea bagging Ghostface slashing you on hook, even though you were respectful. Feels really good to jump in a hatch right in front of their face for being cocky.
Open handed would indeed extend that, so go have some fun, lol

BBQ & Chili is AT BEST a C-Tier perk when it comes to usefulness. Maybe. At peak performance.

Tunneling because you have to tunnel means that there was nothing else the killer could have done on that situation. If they don't tunnel, they will lose the match.
That is fine and understandable.
Tunneling because you want to means that the killer could have done something different on that situation without compromising their path to victory, but decided to tunnel out of spite or toxicity.
That I don't think it is fair.
That's fair, understandable

Yesterday Otzdarva made a stream when he tried to prove this point.

He obliterated every lobby (most of the time, it was with 4 gens left). Of course sometimes survivors were'nt that strong, but still they at least played DS/DH.
As a killer main (95%/5% killer/survivor). I do not know what to think about ? Am I delusional to think that survivors have advantages over the killer ? But my POV is biaised by the fact I only played killer since I started plyaing (around 200h)
I would like to know what do you think about this ? Does it prove that the game is not survivor sided ? What is your POV on that ? Please also let know other people which role you main !

I see this idea thrown around a lot. Even Scott Jund's patch made Slinger 4.6 because now, Slinger lacks the quick scope he used to have, complete with the standard 32m TR despite being 4.4.
I'm here to tell you, that would awful. Like, terrible. It would a nightmare.
Mobility
The biggest defense I hear is: "He should be 4.6 so that he has more mobility so he can better apply map pressure."
To be frank, this is not correct. Being 4.4 vs 4.6 is a chase limitation first and foremost so a killer has to rely more on their power to get a hit. The difference between being 4.4 vs 4.6, in terms of raw mobility, is marginal in most cases. The only time being 4.4 hurts is when on massive maps, like Dwelling level of huge and even then, the difference is usually less than 5 meters.
More specifically, you could walk in a straight line for 20 seconds and the difference is just 4m. It's something and may hurt in really clutch games, but for the most part, it's not a huge deal. Not to mention, lack of map pressure is a massive issue on several 4.6 killers such as Clown, Nemesis, Pyramid Head, and so on.
Nemesis
Why am I bringing up an entirely different killer? This is why.
Now, Nemesis has a windup of 0.35 seconds. This is just 0.05 seconds faster than Deathslinger's current 0.4-second windup. Functionally, they are identical.
But Nemesis is 4.6 and Slinger is 4.4. Why?
Nemesis' power is deemed to be so strong and oppressive that he has the dubious honor of being the killer you need to hit survivors three times to down. Everything else such as the pallet break is added to help make the need to hit someone three times worth it.
Slinger? If you're in front of him, you're dead. Window? He can hold up his gun: If you vault, you're dead. If you don't, he can lower it, eat through the cooldown, and you're going to be forced to give him a pallet. At least with Neme, you can out space the 5-6m tentacle, but Slinger doesn't have that problem. Even if you somehow manage to find the angle to break the chain, you're in DW so he can just leave you and get guaranteed slowdown because you need to mend at some point (made worse by the fact his purple mend add-on is even stronger than Legion's for... some reason?).
I'm not saying Slinger would be "OP," but I am saying it would be an absolutely miserable experience that would probably lead to give him nerfed like Freddy and Wraith before him.
Compensation argument
Another argument I hear. "Slinger needs some sort of compensation."
Sure. No really. Sure. I think he could use a few more tweaks since he lost his strongest tool but I don't think being 4.6 is the way to go. There are so many other things you can look at with Slinger such as his chain durability, ADS movement speed add-ons still being bad, his reload feeling awful without add-ons, and whatever his reel speed add-ons are.
He has a lot of things that could be improved that would make his life a lot better. Focus on those aspects of him before suggesting the drastic solution of making him 4.6, something that has only been done to a single killer in DBD's history... and his power had to get gutted because it broke the game.
Now, Cowpokes, go get your gun, reel in some nice bounties that you can nod your head at as you reel them in!
Just give him 4.6, he's garbage rn anyways

I think there are enough players that it would not kill the game (to have a queue that limited SWF party). People tend to like options. There are plenty that would still queue up for a challenging experience.
A game I just finished as Slinger:
I'm Ash 1 (rarely reach past silver with my skill/playtime)
Opponents:
Red 1 prestige.
Red 3
Red 4
Gold 2.
Only won with extreme slugging and Nurses calling etc. Previous 3 = disaster of memes and obviously planned gen spread etc.
If i was a new killer, yah I'd toss this away unless I was sadistic :)
Ranks don't mean anything, how much longer will it take for people to understand

I feel like if anyone takes this game too seriously, they really should consider taking a break.
I was in teams with a streamer today and they raged because our team went down. They didn’t bother going for any saves throughout the match and did gens on the opposite side of the map.
I was laughing because me and some other random kept picking up each other with WGLF doing everything possible to prevent the killer from continuing slugging. It didn’t work out too well in the end.
They were mad because their 5 win streak broke and called everyone trash. The killer, me and the other 2 teammates were on console and they went on to say, “ Of course they are on console, no wonder they were trash”.
I don’t really care for them to bash console players (we get that on a daily basis) but to get really mad for a game, can be really silly. I know me and the other randoms didn’t too well but damn, they really should consider touching some grass.
It’s not the first time I have encountered this type of behavior before.
Let people play how they want, if they want to try, let them, if they want to meme (as long as they're not throwing) let them

The only part that I really don't like is the compensation part. The cosmetic taken away were for Bubba but these Shards don't let us get anything for Bubba.
As much as it would have hurt the pocket book, if BHVR really was serious about how it affects their players, either Auric Cells should have been given (enough for one of the Bubba Cosmetics) or a new replacement cosmetic for Bubba should have been created for this. Since they just released the Old Lady Cosmetic a little while ago, I presume they still have some kind of a working relationship with the license holder if they needed permission to give Bubba some kind of new mask or cosmetic (maybe a multi-person cosmetic where all four survivors faces are sewn into one mask?).
That cosmetic... wouldn't have changed anything... it might've made it worse if that was the compensation

If you kill one survivor before the second gen is done, it's a guaranteed 4k already. So 1k with AFK strat -> 4k from all sources together. And getting at least 1k from beartraps is 1-(3/4)^4 = ~68%
So yeah, that's 68% of 4k for just standing still in the beginning we are talking about.
How many 4 key boxes are there? Everyone's luck must be garbage if the pig chooses the right box AND that box has 4 keys in it, jeez

Each trap has its own key
But each key has a chance of being in any box, so some boxes can have multiple keys in them. I recently learned it's possible (albeit extremely unlikely) that 1 box has all 4 keys in it due to how the RNG works
Oooooooohhhhh, ok, thanks for clearing that up

Pig players pick the video tape ultra rare addon, since it used to be a uncommon many people have billions of them
They pick a box, crouch and just block it the whole game and hope that survivors are unlucky and die to it. Which they often do, so survivors have a choice
do the gens and progress the game
don't do the gens and waste their time - the pig isn't playing the game and survivors can't really punish them by doing the gens and leaving because at least 1 person is 100% guaranteed to die in most circumstances
But... doesn't each box have it's own key? So the pig can only get 1k with this strat? Not that i condon this playstyle, but yeah

"Don't do gens, do boxes"
Now my dearest friend, I'm not sure if you're familiar with the concept of this fun little "strategy" but you can't do a box through an AFK Pig's body.
Well that's what i was wondering, i didn't know if she was afk from the start or she afk in front of a box, also that's pretty crummy luck if your box is the one pig is standing in front of, lol
-
@supersonic853 said:
Sorry to ride the trend but like other people now that it is becoming popular i'm seeing it more and more. 2 games in a row against pig was afk kills. Me and one other survivor couldn't get the trap off because we were "unlucky" so i just took the L on it. Like people ride tombstone for being bad but at least michael needs to do something for it. Its minimal but it's something. This one i can get a 4k by doing literally absolutely nothing. Maybe rework the red addon into something more interesting or put contigencies on it? Idrk how you'd fix this problem.
What? How does pig get afk kills? If it's to do with the RBT at the start of the trial, don't do gens, do boxes
Idk, maybe I'm just not understanding what is happening

That is not fair counterplay. The combo is too strong. 45 seconds is a long time to be unable to do the objective. Imagine if a survivor perk caused the killer to be unable to do anything for that long.
You also can't hide in this game. Maps are too bright and sparsely populated.
I mean, you have repressed alliance which blocks a gen for 30 seconds, and if the killer wants to wait around to pop it, then you have just gained like 1 minute and 15 seconds up on him because the killers time is worth 4x a survivors time

Look, your argument boils down to ignoring survivors because they either have or might have second chance perks. That is not a solution. DS got all of its deactivation condition precisely because the devs didn't want it to be such a perk: "ignore me for 60 seconds or get stabbed"
Wouldacouldashoulda doesn't help me or anyone in this situation. In situation, there was zero counter to anything, because each counter was countered itself by yet another perk and I don't see why that should be my fault in any capacity.

I'll just start off by saying im a survivor main and FFS the killers EVERY MATCH use lethal pursuer then target me to death. No, im not exaggerating at all, every single match i play the killer runs directly to me without fail then chases me endlessly until i die. I'm literally convinced if i run distortion they would not chase a single other survivor until they found me. Also my "friends" never seem to run any sort of distraction or get in the killers way at all. They certainly never work on any gens to speak of. On the flip side if i try to run killer i get thrown into a match with a full organized iridescent team every match. How this game is run right now definitely doesnt make me wanna continue playing it and would NEVER recommend it to a friend. god i hope VHS kills this ######### game forever and soon.
You're just the closest survivor to the killer from the start 🤷 that how it do be sometimes
