Cant really imagine the devs going with an original chapter cause those dont attract the same amount of players than popular slasher/horror licences. they would have to put much more effort into an OG chapter, cause it would need to be something unique. and they dont have it that much with unique chapters. last try with twins was one of the worst chapters ever.
-
The same with pallets hits. You see the killer stun first and still get hit afterwards for no obvious reason.
-
You cant nerf survivor meta cause theyre 90% band aid fixes that are mandatory to the worse gameplay.
-
they know about it for what? 5 years? and they came up with nothing but band aid fix perks that are mandatory for bad sake.
-
Some people talk like its an easy thing to come up with a proper anti-cheat system. basically every other game has the same issues with cheaters, its not a dbd or eac exclusive issue. other systems have the same issues detecting cheaters on a solid base. there is no system thats works really good.
-
Another case of gitgud. Its always the same "complains" and noone is thinking about themselfs. Always this and that. Quite sad state of killer players.
-
Probably an already well known hacker.
-
Gen rush doesnt exist. Its your own inability to play well as killer.
-
@GillyBeannn said:
Seriously, if myers can have tombstone piece, then why can't sadakos condemned include exposed? It would not be OP and that would be on the survivors for being neglectful of their condemned status.
Maybe, just MAYBE, is Tombstone Piece a bullshit relict from the past that devs ignore to rework for no reason? Condemned isnt meant to be a huge part of her gameplay. Its a gimmick. Also you can force condemned on survivors, its not just about to neglect it as survivor.

Killers will always complain about any healing perk that looks worthwhile. Even if you do the math for them and explain how situational a guarenteed advantage is, they just dont care at all. Ignorance is the killers best friend.
-
Its because killers are a whiny bunch. Survivors dont even have anything worthwhile that doesnt band aid fix any game flaws. And killers always complain about anything that may look worthwhile. Examples were given plenty in op. they even complain about situational things that dont work out well most of the times like Head-On. And if anything gets nerfed they just go to the next perk in row without any reasoning.
-
Sure, just let them get all down then rekindle all and ez win. I dont know why its so hard to think carefully before posting.

Yeah say that when 3-4 of them are running the perk, and have multiples around the map.
Which happens like once in a lifetime?

Not talking about shadowstep. It's circle of healing. Scratched mirror relies on surprise attacks. It's a jump scare build not a chaser build. That's why it's called jump scare Myers.
The fact boons now allow survivors constant free and quick healing ruined it.
Than you dont know how to scare them at all. If you know theres a CoH its an easy target, cause they always fall back towards it.

For example if every killer would be equal in strength with Blight
So again "killer fun" is if you can stomp most of the opposing side. Its getting really lame these days.
-
Cause you get sooo often someone with Shadowstep, right? I dont even know the last time i saw a survivor with shadowstep.
-
Remove killer weapons.
-
I guess someone special needs some help on playing killer.

Within reason yeah, because it certainly cant be off winrate if 2 completely killers verse the same people?
Why not? The MMR on killers doesnt differ so much.
-
I guess you never met a decent artist player in your games. She is definitely A-Tier. Most people dont play her because of her gamestyle. Its not much fun and is only countered by Holding W which isnt fun for any side.

Because all killer SHOULD be viable on ALL skillevels.
Just like all characters in league or r6s are nearly always viable.
Of course every game has a meta but you CAN win with anyone in those games.
Not so in DBD since half the rosters powers are lackluster now that survivor over time learned the most efficient strats and those got distributed far and wide thanks to the streaming era.
Same with killer camping/tunneling so much. Both sides have reached the momentary apex in efficiency and the fun is left behind.
Nurse isnt viable. Nurse is broken. And thats the exact issue why killers in this forum cant be taken seriously.
-
I guess they never even knew that people were complaining about his reveal mechanic. Otherwise you cannot explain the absence of changes to his mechanic. Guess we will still have to faceslap him for a reveal.

I've only seen, in these forums, people asking boons mechanic to be nerfed. But... wouldn't it be better to buff hexes mechanics instead. Like, if we compare boons to hexes... hexes are underwhelming because of their inconsistency. I'd rather take, for example, a built-in "old thrill of the hunt" (yes, the sound alert thing)... than a nerf to the boons. What do you think about it?
CoH is S Tier (Meta), Shadowstep is B at best, Exponential is C and new perk is D-tier. Where is the consistency in strengh?

@jesterkind said:
That is certainly a thing that a lot of people have said over the months that MMR has been active, but that doesn't actually make it true.
I've never heard a good argument for why the way the MMR is calculated is wrong, it usually seems to boil down to people misunderstanding what the system is for- a focus on measuring individual skill within a specific match, instead of sorting into general skill brackets.
The devs do understand that there's more to the game than living or dying, and their responses make sense overall. Those things matter in a single match, but if you're looking at aggregate data, winrate is a good proxy for also measuring not only what plays are being attempted, but also how many pay off.
The actual MMR doesnt focus on measuring individual skill at all. Its just boiled down to one basic indicator, and its factors are completely ignored.
-
Cause its too hard to get BPs as killer in a 3 vs1? LUL
-
Why should it stop? As long devs dont care what fun gameplay looks like the complains will still be on. Those flaws just make the game annoying for survivors and braindead easy for killers.

That’s no excuse for such a disparity between platforms.
It is. Most other games have the same issue with "ports".
-
IF this is an intended change, ever though of flicks not being intended game mechanics in first place? And: i dont understand why people just cant form an bug report and always try to go to General Discussions.
-
Always funny to see killer players raging despite nothing is even done yet. And even if something would be done, they still ignore the reasons behind it to justify their own selfishness. Killer players in a nutshell.
-
This is a PC game with a console port. Like any other game this is how it works out. Despite Blight being able to do thing he never should be supposed to be able to.

That's literally how game design works; you don't alter anything in a vacuum. Everything affects everything else.
But I guess people who try to SOUND smart always pick the wrong thing to feel smug over. You failed; Try again.
But you just look at it in 1on1 comparison. Basekit survivor = basekit killer. Thats exactly not how game design works.
-
Nurse isnt the issue. Shes just the pinneacle of broken killer mechanics. Basically every mobility killer profits too much from small maps and perks like starstruck. Thats why each killer has to be looked at separate.

Why should Survivors get a perk for free?
I mean, they already get 30 free perks by using Discord. But Killers getting ONE is just horrid! Horrid, I tell you!
Still seems that Survivors complaining about 'camping', 'tunneling', and 'slugging' are simply saying 'Killers should not be allowed to win if they break my made up rules. BHVR; please enforce my made up rules! Think of MY fun!'
Killers: What about our fun? These ideas are abuse-able!
Survivors: Who cares about Killer fun?
Cause some perks that are used frequently on survivor are band aid fixes for horrible game flaws. Killers dont have anything like that. So it makes no sense to give killers something for free just because there are needs on the other side.
-
Just git gud.
-
Why should killers even get a perk for free?
-
I dont know whats you problem. My mainboard is DDR3 and its like 5 years old, i have just 8GB RAM, my GPU is just a 1050ti and the game runs well on high setting at 55-60 fps. just some drops and freezes from time to time, buts thats most likely cause my CPU runs at 100% at those times, cause its old too. its fairly playable like 95% of the time.
-
So one survivor is doing nothing the whole game cause you can snuff it out in 2s while it takes at least 20s ro relit. Sure thats OP LOL

More and more people are using DH
From what the dev's have said about balancing overused perks, this one has to be the no.1 survivor perk at the moment.
Tried to think of what the killers no.1 perk might be since Ruin died
Here we go again with that urban legend of overused perks.

Question on title. Let's discuss.
For me, honestly i think they need to change. So much useless charms, i am not even using any charm.
Re-color and new cosmetics are okey, they don't need to touch. But removing 90% charms and adding BP and Shard rewards would not kill BHVR.
I would add total 1,5m BP and 5K Shard for rift. Split for levels. I would love more rifts actually.
They wont change anything about the rift. Its like this for years and players complain about it since the beginning. BHVR probably think its fine cause they outsourced the BP-rewards into the challenges. In any other battlepass you probably have rewards in all parts, but just get the progress for doing the challenges instead of rewards for them. But i still think that there should be at least 7200 Shards in each Rift. It doesnt kill anyone cause during one Rift there are probably at least 5 full outfits (15 pieces each 7200) for shards available. and this probably motivates players more to get to the next level than nothing for like 6 levels. And yeah, i still think we dont need soo many recoloured charms. i would even like to see 100 ACs at level 70 bonus to the regift of the 1k ACs, so people can get some cheap cosmetics at some point. Wont hurt anyone too. But that would all be by far too player friendly.

So if 1 or 2 of the last 3 gens survivors couldn't work on, because they didn't manage what gens they did, that's all fair and good?
Survivor actually manage their gens to not get 3genned. Why shouldnt killer not managne their hooks to not create hook-deadzones?

if those exhaustion perks are so good why no one is using them at all? Exactly ...
Right. Lazyness as always.
-
They literally cant change the system without compensation.
-
There is nothing thats needs to fixed about DH. You will learn the if they gonna change it and youre still crying about the next exhaustion perk in the row.
-
Cant manage your hooks? Sure its always the games fault.

So what do killers do when the survivor hacker hijacks the lobby and the killer cant leave?
So a hacker can easily prevent survivors from leaving too. No difference. And if you wanna talk about hackers, discussing a backdoor is stupid, cause it should be discussing how to prevent hacking in the first place.
-
There is practically no reason a killer needs to leave the game.
-
@MilManson said:
Does anyone else think it's preposterous that the nurse should get punished by extra fatigue for a blink strike "missing" because a survivor can just press dead hard?
It should just be like a 1 second fatigue.
She missed. Thats a fact. There is nothing to justify a change.

The I-Frames aren't the bad part of Dead Hard imo. They can be easily baited out. The distance is the bad part. It's unavoidable and uncounterable
Like the distance of SprintBurst and Lithe? But i guess we only complain about that after DH gets nerfed, though it lacks logic.
