As Trapper you have much more ways to play than every other killer. Hes the sort of killer that needs strategic thinking. If you dont have that skill playing trapper is a pretty bad experience. But you can do so much different mindgames. You can cut off loops by plainly blocking them with your traps, building your loadout around pallets or vault blocks. Or you can be smart and set up traps at places where you can chase them into. Its harder to anticipate a trap at a point where no vault is located, but survivors are likely to run around to cut distance. Or you play Basement Trapper, or 3gen Trapper (even though saving up the most possible 3 gen is always a good thing, cause survivors have to go out of their way or get trapped). But you have to learn when to placce traps.
And the best thing at trapper is: you learn to let go of gens. A skill that most players at this forum obviously never acquire by just playing as easymode jerk.
-
Cause you could obviously swap them out, and chances of getting another Nurse daily is pretty low.
-
The only thing i hear on loud speaker is killer players crying their ass off on this forum. Never seen any playerbase being so whiny while performance its all about their own skill level.
-
Anyone who stopped playing cause of DH is for good. Cant take this outcry anymore. Its like killers dont even know anymore how it feels to get outplayed by other perks.
-
Hitboxes didnt change. Dont make up lies.

If you think about the fact survivors can deal with anything killers can do, but not other way around, this game is certainly survivor sided.
nothing toxic there, no one feel toxicity from calling nurse or blight strong, it's same thing.
What exactly can killers not deal with?
The issue is that most game flaws reside from killer gameplay. So you can say that the game is killersided, cause those flaws never got fixed in 5 years.

@fulltonon said:
This is the TRUE reason of killer shortage I think, they need paid perks to even stand a chance when survivors tend to use everything possible nowadays.
And even the grind is extremely inefficient if they have no good perks.
Nah. You can play fine at every MMR level as killer without paid perks.
-
How often will you guys make up those whataboutism threads, that only show your lack of gamesense?

I've played survivor, nothing stressful at all.
anyone getting mad at camping or tunneling is just plain bad or taking this game too seriously.
Or knows how to play this game properly.
-
So what toxic play did they do exactly?
-
Next anniversary we get a new influx of players, so dont worry.
-
I guess you dont even play the game anymore.
-
You can do the math again if you like, its not OP. Just look up some threads about built to last toolboxes.

Then the answer isn't chase better, it's something like "be more strategical"... in other word, just tunnel the ######### outta em.
Thats bullshit. The answer is get better at chases or if youre strategic at all, think about gen defence/pressure. But the answer is never be a jerk and tunnel someone.

I think 8 hooks with 4 man alive for entire match is pretty good at chase.
Yeah, and hes complaining about not getting two kills. So he isnt good enough at chasing them for two kills. Thats it.

How many times SWF's abuse those perks to get everyone out, DS should be a anti-tunneling perk, but there are a lot of instances where people use it just to f*ck with the killer at endgame, same with BT, i think these should be nerfed in endgame because, cmon its endgame, everything goes. What do you think?
What abuse? The perks do what theyre supposed to do. If youre unable to hit the unhooker two times, or even grab them, its not the survivors perks fault. And endgame isnt something special to favor killers. Its a band aid fix to prevent hostage situations.
-
Or get better at chases? I guess thats too much asked for.

What? You can reach the soft cap for MMR pretty easily on every killer. The reason why you don't see anyone else than Nurse, Huntress, Blight and Bubba is, because all the other killers can't even make it far enough to be considered for matchmaking.
Which is pretty much a lie. There are several kilelrs viable in high mmr, cause its still casual and not competitive. Players are just too lazy to play as those cause theyre not too easy handle.
-
Never seen such a bad excuse. Even for you.
-
There is no need to change Iron WIll. Its the only perk that grants a big deal of stealth for survivors, while still countered by Stridor or just their footsteps and breathing.
-
Survivors are forced to sit on a gen, while a teammate is camped or tunneled. A camp doesnt force survivors to do something else if they want to escape. Every smar survivor pushes the gens as hard as possible in such situation, to finish them all before the mate is sacrificed in order to get him out too. And thats not genrush. Genrush only relates to groups stacking speed items/perks. Killers just realised how flawed the game is, and how easy it is to get a 2k for doing nearly nothing by undermining fundamental game mechanics.

Yes - a strong killer or only a killer who is better as you might always be annoying.
And what you think is annoying is maybe not everyones opinion.
It has absolutely nothing to do with a strong killer or a killer being better.

Didn't you type "Nice exploits" in end game chat after getting outplayed in one of Otz's videos? I don't think you should talk about skill
Nah if you dont understand it, its not my fault. Just think about what in this situation wasnt supposed to be possible. I give you a hint: its something this particular killer was able to do on this particular map. And additionally: this has nothing to do with this topic, so stop ypur whataboutism.

It's right there in the screenshot: "if you use it [noed] end ur life" and your response is "well you did use noed after all". There is nothing you can do in-game in DBD which includes perks, playstyle etc, which justifies that being told that. Nothing.
Ok, lets rephrase what i said: I never said anywhere here, that thats okay. Dont talk people into saying something they never did.

Really shows the general survivor attitude. When something isn't completely broken or guarantees multiple extra health states, it's "garbage."
Typical telling of a killer who cant understand how stupid it is to play perks that are extremely situational and completely in the hands of the opponent.

There are to many boons you have a boon that gives you unbreakable, you have a boon that heals you 45 % faster, you have a boon that hides noises, scratch marks, and blood
Not to mention cobbled by perks that not only increase healing but gen progression also bite the bullet, leader, spine chill, the Felix perk Desperate Measures
Ace's Ante Up,Lucky Break now the new perk parental guidance which has no cool down
Please that is enough do you realize how hard the killer job is.Its hard enough for the 1 v1 and now you have every survivor basically can reset any progression you make as killer. You need to now give every killer an expose addons to just to counter this
2 gens left every survivor resetted and you have to break off a chase on to start the same process over and guess the survivor you let go their fully healed you stand hardly no choice against high MMR survivors like this
Please consider to stop making healing perks and boons or give all killers and exposed addons star struck, make your choice is situational at best.
You clearly just have a bad knowledge of the game based on what you wrote here.

As long as you're not breaking the game rules, all players should play the game as they want to regardless of what side they play on.
So you guys still think its fine that your game promotes gameplay on killer side that makes a match annoying for everyone else?
-
The issue is most killer tend to run back to the hook immediately meaning even this 8 seconds arent fast enough to heal under the hook. Also its like 10s cause of the delay you have after unhooking a survivor. Thats why healing perks like this are basically never used anymore.
-
You basicly never played against a tunneler. They just ignore you to get that one survivor out. Empathy doesnt change anything about it.
-
Cause Blight is the new "play a bullshit loadout to win easily" killer.

Still changes up the scenery rather than playing the same environments over and over. Plus, people complain about everything no matter what. People like to complain. About characters, maps, cosmetics, the devs, etc.
There is no making everyone happen because people love to complain.
We have like 33 maps (doesnt count badham multiple times) within 17 Realms. Thats more than enough variety for this game. I guess people are just too spoilt by getting maps at each chapter for the first 4 years. the same devs just throw in killer sand survivors within each chapter like cheap goodies. At some point this game has to evolve rather than producing goodies as a routine.

DH invalid the hit and can literally save u from being downed, the other exhaustion perks no.
So where is the difference in dodging a hit to prolong a chase and outsprinting the killer to prolong a chase? There is none in its result.
-
"Rampant" is completely exeggarated.
-
So how is it fun to have more maps with the same tiles but just other visuals?
-
And there were alreaedy a bunch of news that this system gets outdone by cheaters regularly.

DH and CoH can be build around a playing style, but especially DH is also a clutch perk. I can't count the amount of times when I looped a survivor for quite some time, injured them, got close to them when they finally make a mistake, only for them to DH away to safety, a new tileset, a new set of pallets and you are left with nothing. You haven't made any mistake, lost any mindgame, yet you are denied your payoff. Of course you coudl say "that WAS the mindgame. They wanted you to commit to the chase and then run off with the help of DH" and yeah, that was probably their game plan, but its a side effect of DH being so overtly strong, that you can greed so, so much more then you should be allowed to, and come up on top more often then not. Back in the days before hit validation it was kinda a coin toss, a 50/50 if this worked out, and this sorta balanced DH. Now that it works as intended nearly all the time you can see how much ahead of the competition it truly is.
Oh and regarding your last sentence: there is a survivor perk that can save your ass after the game is basically over, its called "Left Behind" and there is practically no counter play from the killers side, nothing that helps him to even the odds. Its just a flat increase of at least +30% win towards the survivors side :P But its not played too often, because there is no need to. Most games won't demand its usage, because the survivors already run circles around the killer, while t-bagging or clickety clicking, or the killer killed you off first. And of course, this is meant in jest, but DH is so much a clutch perk, and most survivors have integrated it so much into their playstyle that they can't see it anymore.
I make it a matter of pride to not touch DH and always play without. Yeah, I get caught in situations where I would have gotten out with the use of DH and probably die more often because of it, but I die with a clean conscience and a happy killer player.
So DH doesnt cover mistakes, its prolonging a chase by default. People always misinterpret this for their advantage. Its the same with any other sprint exhaustion perk, and noone is crying a river about people getting sprintburst midchase after 99ing it carefully, using lithe to get to another tile, or utilizing balanced. People just cry a river cause DH is the most common perk used out of this pool, and before it was a heavily ping sided perk (which was in favor of the killer). As survivor the most times arent mistakes as you get hit, its a unevitable consequence of a proper killer chase.
And Left Behind doesnt do anything unless youre the last survivor. But for all other survs being sacrificied (as i said when their game is over) it doesnt do anything.

I don't say that Noed require skill. It's a clutch perk to cover mistakes. But we need to say that Dh, Ds, Bt and Coh are the same of Noed, u use them to cover mistakes. Many times i got a ds at the end game and lose my only kill. Anyway i understand that's a perk and a game mechanic, insult a guy that use a perk like everyone is wrong.
P. S. If u look i don't have great perks, i have scourge hook yellow and u know how random the hooks are, sometimes there are bad scourge hook spots. Pop goes the weasel is probably the best one with lightborn that prevented some flash saves.
None of them is the same as NOED. Theyre supporting your game in full (DH, CoH) OR are band aid fixes to game flaws (BT, DS). There is no equal perk on survivor side that can save your ass after the game is basicly over.
-
Really poor bait by a really poor player.
-
Just be honest. Playing NOED is a sign of no skill. Youre purposely giving up a perkslot that could help you playing well the main time of the game for a perk that can completely change the results of the game at the very end and requires zero input from your side. Its hilarious how people still defend playing with their training wheels as killer.
-
It would be the most stupid thing to keep band-aid fixing this game with perks.
-
Case of gitgud.

Most matches end in under 10 minutes before you even get the chance to do much of anything.
More than often I have games where I dont even get once in a chase with the killer.
Both sides are basically forced to rush each other and finish the trial as fast as possible which I think it takes away a lot from the fun aspect of the game ,where it feels like you dont have enough time to properly experience the game as intended.
If you dont get in a chase even once its because the killer player is too bad. Its nothing to do with games go to fast.
-
As killer i wouldnt complain about a map with abusable hooks.
-
You cant perfectly tell how strong a killer is on Day 1 of PTB. You only need some kind of gamesense, even though most people dont have that and just pretend to know how strong a killer is. Thats why we basically have every PTB threads like "This one survivor perk is OP" from those who just try to pretend to have some gamesense.

They could at least rework the swamp maps. but they don`t. instead they just release new skins.. the swamp has so much potential but no, the map is still eye cancer :/ and btw, can you read? i didn`t say that there should be a new map for the chapter^^
Maybe read your own title?
-
So you already admitted that they were too good for you, but you still want to have a chance against them? Thats contradicting. If you have issues with heals, dont play hit and run. If you have issues with gen speeds, learn to lose them. Once youre over the mental issue to feel pressured by losing a gen or two in early game, you can work on your chasing ability.
-
I had some small hopes that Shelter Woods would be reworked for the chapter. But you basically have so many maps that go with the Ringu theme hand in hand, why would you even need another map like that?
