if step one is find somebody and step two is tunnel them then yes it is. If you're playing a match and people don't want to heal so much as hop back on a gen then you should teach them why that is a bad idea no matter when you saw them last. That isn't tunneling. They made a choice that made the choice to go after them easy.

Im so sick of people complaining about borrowed time its literally fine
If it bothers you so bad why are you tunneling?
when someone body blocks you with BT to keep you going for the unsafe unhooker it's being abused and they aren't tunneling. They do it knowing they make themselves the better target knowing they can DS afterwards. You try to show the unsafe unhooker the error in their idea and the person with BT takes priority from them and cries tunnel.
It's like the clicky tbaggers making themselves annoying then crying when you chose to remove them first so you can hear something else. You have a wonderful tool and have to abuse it then cry when you get the only natural response a person would give.

That's not really counterplay.
I think this is more like a bug, because you were able to use crow on basement stairs etc. on PTB.
I don't think you should be able to control it (aim up/down), but it should 100% copy terrain.
They probably don't differentiate between ground level and raised structure so I assume it would get confused and break something. It'd likely necessitate working on each and every map. Remember dead dawg and RPD recently. Took months . . .
Which map is gone for 2 months first? Would you rather disable the artist entirely?

So, the "problem" (if so we should call it) is that SWF has on one side friends that want to chill together and on the other side sweaty bully squads. There is no way to distinguish among them therefore there is no way to nerf a SWF to avoid a bully squad without making it hard for friends to enjoy their time together so hear me out.
What defines bully squads is that they have the same set of 4 perks and usually even the same item (flashlights usually) that make bullying easily, this however is not true for friends that chill together as they have roles (hex-hunter, looper, gen repairer, healer etc).
Why not implement an item-perk uniquisation mechanic for swf? Meaning that it would make swf members have only one flashlight, one BT, one DS, one DH, one CoH, one of each type of item etc. This could allow regular swf not to be busted/hated by killers and still nerf only the bully squads.
What do you guys think? It would also make place for more specialization in roles and avoid the map-wide booning (that is a problem only on swf).
I've played squads who weren't all identical perk or item wise.
buff solo queue and killers. I play with a dwight that plays like you'd say a dwight plays but it's sincere and rarely care to solo or as nonmeta killer

I've been running the backpack of doom build lately on multiple killers. I love finding afk people. big fast deadly terror!
-
I thought you were getting rekt. which is it?
Fun fact. I got a 4k using padded jaws on the new map. 3 terror radius perks and bbq.

I have but one request. Don't mow the lawns.

I wish I saw some after I turned on instant replay but I've been lucky. I want to find em so I can report them.

you only truly lose when you give up.
I had a game with no addon trapper on rpd. I went in thinking "great 3 joined at the same time with a pair of clickers and now an rpd offering."
I found my choke points and drew them in and applied pressure to wind up with a 4k and a gen left. I was ready to just screw around but habit kicked in and I tried and the entity rewarded my effort.
-
The pattern of behavior you recognized should tell a person to do the damn bones.
-
I've had a bit more lately pre chapter. Just long enough to lose the person I'm chasing and just far enough to have to reorient myself.
-
I think they missed me while I was healing someone but it was my first time on the map and against her. My reaction was ducking can save me?! but I did not pay attention to the map enough to notice a slight change.
-
I've been having fun with silent deep wound traps. Throw on A Nurse's calling with the odd TR reduction perk you like and they get a bit paranoid.

After 1st hook our biggest threat is our "team"

If they're going to make these large thematic maps, they need to give killers more mobility. For example, Let the artist teleport to disturbed crows and doctor teleport to his clones. Trapper can teleport to his traps and pig can teleport to her boxes. Maybe Ghostface can move between lockers? Give the teleport like a 45-90 sec cd. It might not make sense lorewise but it does make sense mechanically.
It'll be a perk just to give survivors more of an edge and they'd probably tie it's use to how many hooks you get and tack on a 90 second t3 CD

Terminally underwhelmed.

I haven't been heard laughing from several rooms away in years. . .

I got several games where the survivors chose to not try. I guess because I was pinhead. Well screw me for wanting to play someone else. Cost me my decent addons that I haven't tried and just ending it like we all wanted pushed my mmr up over the hump to outmatched squads whose only goal is to harass.
The killers viability has dropped and the great new mmr doesn't help.
I am SO ready for vhs.
-
I'm getting to my end with this game. Give the killer new shoes but they've got rocks in them. Give the survivors new shoes they get to pick out insoles and lace color.
Pentimento with boons is worthless.
Overcome gives them a sure way to get to the boon zones
At every turn killers are being gimped.
-
NONE. This crap fest convinced me to go as private as possible. I'm tired of people checking my profile and being insulting. I know they're little dicked smurfs but it does wear on you. I play a killer I normally don't with a meme build and they want to give me ######### because I didn't so well with perks I can't even recognize by the icon or remember the effect of. I don't take friend requests. I have no sympathy for survivors even when I am one. We have to screw up pretty bad to not escape and all you have to do is camp a pallet and run to another one. If people don't hide the instant they hear the TR they can all escape a bubba if they brought the meta.
Games #########.

I was being snarky.
sorry, that was vague.
fun story: I had a myers match where I was trying out "infinite instakill" Myers. I only got T-3 at the very end, and I mori'd a T-bagging survivor who couldn't leave out of the gates fast enough. the animation ended with their body tossed out of the gates, which was pretty funny.
fun story 2: see above, but I was playing nemesis and I had been on the ropes (the gates were open and I had 5 or 6 evenly spread hook states), and everyone was coming for the save, so I camped a little. after getting saved (I left the hook because camping is boring), they T-bagged at the entrance to the exit gate doorway area (where the door is) and they DS-baited me... forgetting they were on second hook and I brought a mori. their teammates were good sports about it, and I apologized for camping.
Don't apologize. They'll do everything in their power to keep you from getting a hook and WHINE about it being our job to make the game fun for them.
They're bastard hypocrites and they deserve it.

Vomiting new content every 3 months while the base game is still a broken mess makes me believe they really don't care about the balance. As McCote said on a very recent interview, just "embrace the chaos".
If it didn't hurt the team he'd make me want to go RP the dwight memes

I run Enduring, Brutal Strength, Fire Up, PWYF.
Most of the time, by the time you get to tier 3, the match is reaching end game already, putting your Fire Up and PWYF at its strongest.
Pallets and Vaults are nothing to you. Quickly chase down everyone and just kill em all hopefully before the gates open.

I'm playing survivor today for tome stuff, and I got downed. OK, fine. Killer runs around corner and camps. Wonderful, but fine. I lay there doing the recovery thing till I couldn't progress anymore. No point in moving after since there's only one way out the room and the killer is camping the corner/doorway. Sigh... OK fine. I lay there waiting for the killer to be lured away and someone to heal me. So I lay there a minute...
And a crow appears above my head circling and cawing.
I was like... really? Reeeaaallyyy?.
I mean I know the crows are supposed to stop players hiding in same spot for too long, but sometimes the crows are too on top of that. If I'm downed with nowhere to go I ain't exactly trying to avoid my survivor duties...likewise if killer won't leave immediate area while I hide in a closet, I'm not exactly trying to avoid my survivor duties.
I feel like the crows need to be tweeked to account for those things.
Agree or disagree?
MAKE them move by crawling away if they want to camp instead of giving up
-
Sometimes I can't drop them early. Killer will stop to avoid the stun and i'll mash the button 6-8 times in different spots to nothing. Never a perk that causes it. It happens on fast vaults in chase almost as often. Usually happens when I would have gotten some solid distance.
-
I've railed against new matchmaking but VERY recently it seems improved. Might be in my head.
-
I camped a bunny feng today. Dead Dawg offering and cart taunting multiple times. Then she tried to claim it just beamed her up there. I was not bored.

You're right with the gen speeds, but I don't think you need to have a full build of gen regression perks to win, also not achieving a single hook make me think you just need to improve as killer. Don't get me wrong, the game is pretty much survivor sided atm, but you need to improve as killer. The SBMMR is good, if you keep losing matches instead of disconnecting you will face worse survivors eventually. I think DCing don't reduce your MMR because a lot of people would exploit that. If you want to reduce the MMR without playing just stay AFK some matches like some of us did in the old times with the rank system.
PS: Bruh, the post getting 7 upvotes make me feel embarassed as main killer.
no it isn't good. you play with someone new and they bring you down you can get stuck with people that are afraid of the crows. Then you get stuck there. without a change to how you earn points it's #########.

Hackers have always been a problem.
But due to most of us not keeping video evidence of every game, we can't give them proof of this hacking, and therefore they won't do anything. It just sucks.

Actually, it can. Who knows if you get another opportunity to win again? A killer not choosing to pursue a slug at 5 gens should be treated as magnanimous, not as something all killers must do. If you have a problem with it, use a second chance anti-slug build to carry you through your mistakes.
that's what a bad killer says
-
@GannTM said:
Because it’s an effective tactic? You do gens fast at the start so why can’t killers slug when it’s necessary?
it isn't necessary at 4 or 5 gens. go back under the bridge, troll

Survivors get it easy, they can just suicide on the hook. Killers can't do that, they have to go AFK and wait it out if they don't want to participate anymore. Unless you're Nemesis, you can go zombie hunting as Nemesis. I love doing that.
The problem isn't the DC penalty, it's solo queue and SBMM. Turn off DC penalties and it goes right back to what it used to be where a ton of survivors disconnect on their first down.
That's if they hook you.
Yeah it isn't a long time to bleed out but it gets annoying.
-
I agree something needs to be done. He stands there the whole time idle.
I'd sign a petition to get Bubba a chair.

IIRC It's so people can't stash 300,000,000 points and unlock everything new on everyone right away. I guess the thinking is that it gives people time to adjust to the new stuff which seems like a faulty argument since we don't often face the same person we just faced so it's 100% possible you still run into it a ton anyway.
I without putting in much effort saved enough points up to unlock boons and then get them on my main. As it stands you can still unlock teachable perks right away and with a few dailies or rifts saved have them on someone else entering a trial.
Seems pointless.

If they were to move the screams to the server authority, the killer client would always have to wait for the server confirmation that they've actually hit someone before playing the scream. That would result in the killer player having a delay between every hit and the according feedback, and the bigger the latency between the killer client and the server, the bigger that delay.
I think it is better to have false information on the rarer instances of overruled hits than to have delayed information on every single hit.
However, one thing they could do is give a visual and/or sound notification that a hit has been deemed invalid by the server, so as to avoid some of the confusion that can happen in those moments.
You can adjust to everything being on that slight delay. As it is negated hits and confirmed hits give you the same feedback.
-
at a certain point sbmm is a pit. Play with a less practiced friend and your number tanks and you get people that haven't a clue what they're doing then you get stuck there.
Hatch should give a small boost since it isn't a meaningless escape devoid of some skill. After a certain threshold of earned bp you should get a little something if anyone escapes. Make sitting on gens the least boosting followed by saves and chases escaped.

IW is fine. i guess someone rolled reamed in a game.

I wasn't accusing, and tunneling and camping are legit strategies, but, I think it's best to focus on just having fun.
(honestly, my main issue with facecamping is that it's boring)
people have a lot more fun when they feel like they've won once in awhile

They'd talk about it if they didn't want us to forget. The old bait and switch with likely a cease and desist excuse.

Maybe for the same reason I get half my Freddy kills. People realize and throw the game then who wants to sit through 4-5 gens to let 2 maybe 3 people escape in pity for the 12th time so you kill em anyway to move on.
No drawback to doing that as survivor since actually it helps get an easier game for them.
