There is a straight-up bug in the game that existed with the Pallet change. They didn't fix it and used the same coding to change Dead Hard, duplicating the bug. You want them to add that to vaulting, which doubles the problem again (vaulting windows AND pallets).
How about FIXING THE BUG BEFORE YOU MAKE IT MORE WIDESPREAD
Don't worry we'll get a dlc perk to compensate for it.

My friend, they don't give a #########. Or they would listen to long term players who have been begging for QOL updates over new content.
Player retention is not their goal, bringing in new players and selling is their goal.
Hence, why SWF will never be nerfed, they are the cash cow.
Without them, killers would appear too strong, solos would leave, killer q would rise and the money would dry up.
i know they don't give a #########. ######### made you think i didnt?

@Clevite said:
Like I said before, you nerf swf, kill rates rise, then killers get nerfed accordingly.
Be careful what you wish for, swf keeps the kill rate lower.
They need to do something different. Yes kill rates might overall balance to roughly half but there are gross differences at both ends of the spectrum. Everyone is miserable until the wind up just outside their normal mmr. That isn't any way to run a game.
-
I used to care to try to be fair and decent. You get a squad you can guarantee you'll do bad and be taunted for your effort. I understand the dark side now. 1st person caught must be taken out ASAP at all costs. Then the second.
The perks for second chances when someone is at high risk are consistently abused and healing is so fast a swarm can effectively keep you from being able to punish the person using them in a way they weren't intended.
I'll suck up the BT and eat the DS. I find you then you are all I care about until you are gone. I'm tired of the expectation that a killer has to consider how much fun others are having when they don't offer the same consideration despite clearly trying to spread the hooks among the group.

Just give Killers and solo Q players extra BP's.

Maybe postpone the next release of a chapter and work on the bugs and QoL issues in the game, please?
it won't ever happen because you can't market selling that stuff.

I've had so many hookbombers that when I see them on either side all I want to do is get them out of the game. I wager I can do better without them giving free pressure.
restore ranks and matchmaking based on rank.
-
The problem is not all groups use comms and are effective. There isn't a way to prevent all comms without doing illegal things. We need to buff killers and give solo more information like auto kindred or something.
It's never going to happen. We are firmly in cycle through new people and keep others coming back for the gimmick of new stuff phase.

Beats me, i never actually thought Ring would make it into the game. Like, what would be the killer's weapon?
her wet hair?

WTH is she even going to do

Perceived?
They flag Mori's and keys as issues, then nerf Mori's, fine, but take a year to nerf keys.
Add boon's to the game and make CoH practically impossible to deal with when there is multiple versions of this boon.
Release a fun Christmas event, that gives Survs a free health state.
Yeah it's defiantly all in the minds of Killer players.
The general concenus is there are more Survivor main's than killers and from a business point of view you need to make dollars marketing to them, but it's a fine line between business and balance, and it appears that the game in it's current form is rubbish for Killers.
There is like 4 killer's that are viable at high ranks, so combine that with perks, maps, swfs and this event i'd rather play something else, and it seems alot of Killer mains feel that way as well.
I expect any day now to be told if killers bought more cosmetics they'd take care of us better
-
So many people right now are just hook bombing before the killer could possibly get away. I'm actually starting to consider left for dead and key hunting
-
pallets have been HUGE for awhile. I can be a couple of steps away and get hit while moving sideways.
it's disgusting

tried to off himself and you expected what exactly?

as it stands I can get a grab when I try after the fast vault noise. it already seems to work against the killer. it isn't needed

Today i died first hook because my whole team decided escaping as a snowman is worth more than rescuing a random who looped the killer for the whole game.
I'm fine. 👌😅
don't even need to escape as frosty.

Sounds like low mmr hell, I get paired with 4.5k hour survivors that carry my pathetic ass. MMR has improved my soloQ experience a lot. You should focus more on escaping to increase your MMR so you get more competent teammates

JUST LEAVE. YOU'RE IN THE GATE, ALL 4 OF YOU HEALTHY, GTFO.
-
There isn't a better way to keep up. It makes playing with a friend awful when half the time one of you doesn't get to do much besides wait. Can't even give them a free hit and hope they chase you instead.

I don't understand how he was boring to go against. I get the feeling all these people saying he's boring are part of the reason I stopped playing him. If they didn't DC people would just run up to me and offer themselves or afk. Like the first dozen people I played as artist either quit or didn't try. Not even running some meta build just what she came with and BBQ because I was lucky enough to get it.

Honestly the best thing they can do ... is just stop letting survivors hold the game hostage Id say if the match goes on for longer then 10 min or so ... or what ever the reasonable amount of time it is ... the killer can just end the game by opening the gate and to force the game timer to countdown. I mean give the killer the means to end the game rather then letting survivors holding the cards to that means ... often time i get frustrated and then open the gate for them cuz i respect that i lost and they have won ... i want to Surrender the match so i can do another match ... but often time they do pity card and try to troll ..
if the killer open the gate ... Just go over and juke him and leave ... most time killer are frustrated with your group and doesnt want to play anymore
IF any suriviors are seeing these toxic plays do us killer a favor and shame your fellow team-mates ... Less killer mean more Que times for you ... but respecting killers and giving us a positive Reinforcement goes for a long way ... If any suriviors feel the need to be mad that they died to killer ... wait til the match end and ill be willing to give pointers ... I main Huntress because i love her playstyle its simple and its fun.
Maybe if the killer opens the gate with a gen or more left both doors open.

The survivor mains can get defensive all they want but im tired of them harrasing the killer when were just doing our job I noticed its the gold and up rank who are more toxic. The lower ranks ive seen are more cool and just foucus on their stuff and play normally. It makes the game less enjoyable when they are trolling.

Sigh.
That's a red herring and you know it.
My point was that people :
A. Recognize and
B. React to
linguistic or behavioral queues in a manner that they can't control at an emotional level. They cannot control their neurochemistry as this occurs on a deeper layer than volition extends to - for anyone. They can moderate their actions based on those reactions, but the actual internal state is not subject to conscious control. You can be trained out of those reactions (generally via some form of CBT) but that's not really easy or reliable and can also mess people up badly (see: 'bomb-proofing' training).
Or to put it more simply, you can control what you do, but not how you feel.
Also - I swear, I need to make a Bingo sheet for these threads...
We've knocked off red herring fallacy, ad hominum and 'it's not the fault of the person acting like a jerk, it's your fault for being irritated by them' blame shifting in a single post.
All I need now is a 'get off the internet' and I'll have a full millennial Bingo!
Seriously though, no. The world is a nasty enough place sometimes for me to also have to deal with it in my hobby. You know, the place I come to relax after dealing with real life. I don't think an expectation that I should be able to enjoy said hobby without dealing with a constant flow of chuds is unreasonable. Other bigger, much more competitive games have pulled this off pretty well.
(As an aside: it really is frightening to me how much time you chaps will put into defending being a jerk, rather than just mannering up).
You can condition yourself to respond differently.
Being blinded legit hurts my eyes. I've played with sunglasses on because of a group before. I'm a rageaholic. Even I've gotten past it. You can change how you think if you try, Yes it's work but you can manage it.

It's only a big deal if you are jealous about a coat of paint. Get over the fact that you can't always have everything you want just because you want it. People can have nuance or change their mind so why can't the game?

No, they are not down anymore (at least for me) and this is yet another example of terrible communication from BHVR. In their pinned message on the board, they say they will let everyone know when the game is working again, but they didn’t. It’s been working for a while and I guess they forgot to tell everyone
There seems to be trouble with AWS that perfectly overlaps the problems BHVR and numerous other companies have had. Some of those troubles don't seem to be constant. It would stand to reason until the problem is totally fixed that it would be misleading to say it's fixed. When the problem is intermittent trouble with a backbone service like this there isn't much else you can do.
For once I don't blame BHVR

Uff. Am i the only one who thinks 10 EUR is way too much for a skin?
I've yet to give more than in game currency for a skin. I'm sure it helps that my main survivor doesn't have anything beyond what they come with and I don't really main one killer. I do appreciate the other means we have to gather them but I can't personally justify the cost for the premium cosmetics.

It doesn't display until a healthy survivor is downed in one hit. If you have some injured people you can max it out without them knowing.
-
No. I find myself explaining it several time per week.
-
If you join a PVP game with progression after it's been growing for 5+ years you should expect to be considerably behind the curve.
We've all done it. They can manage it. Someone should make sure they know the efficient way of unlocking perks on a survivor.
-
I think they're hoping they get bored and move on
-
nah I'm good.
-
Having 4 of the same person is a headache to anyone trying to play fairly, according to survivors, or avoid wasting time with the glut of State Farm Accident Forgiveness perks. The thought of having 4/5 totems blessed and reblessed then blessed again and reblessed once more really sucks.
The way around it is boring and ineffective. Target switching to build pressure would be a joke. You can't rely on avoiding the just unhooked person tanking a hit with borrowed time. It's a situation primed for abusing the mechanics intended purposes.
That is why it's good to have a backup ready to go. If I enter a lobby and something like that happens I tend to not be so mean to the person that changes. If they want to be indistinguishable from each other I'm not going to try to be decent.
-
It forces a heal where a normal wound can be ignored for the rest of the match. Buys the killer time.
-
it's a stovetop espresso device.
just a boiler, funnel shaped coffee basket, rubber seal and, the top where the coffee comes up. It makes one amount and works best with a fine ground dark roast. You get a lovely layer of oils from the beans and the flavor is fantastic.

do it without addons and then come back

Anyone else around here use a Moka pot? I love that damn thing.
-
it just means don't slug in boon town and that was already kind of the case with CoH all but mandating staying on one survivor till hooked.
-
old rank or new grade aren't linked to MMR. The grade is used for a monthly pittance of points and bragging you did a little something useful a minimum number of times. They function like a checkpoint so you only go up until reset hits.
MMR is kills and escapes. Each killer has their number go up when you get a kill but the killer you got the kill with has it increase more. Survivors are all on one.
-
Early adopters always have the growing pains. I'm afraid you'll have to just put up with it for some unknown time or revert to 10
