If pallets and DH are decided on the server..

Why can't the survivors screams be too? Getting false positive feedback is super frustrating.

  • If they were to move the screams to the server authority, the killer client would always have to wait for the server confirmation that they've actually hit someone before playing the scream. That would result in the killer player having a delay between every hit and the according feedback, and the bigger the latency between the killer client and the server, the bigger that delay.

I think it is better to have false information on the rarer instances of overruled hits than to have delayed information on every single hit.

However, one thing they could do is give a visual and/or sound notification that a hit has been deemed invalid by the server, so as to avoid some of the confusion that can happen in those moments.

  • Most of the time is a fake hit. It should be 50% rate for real hit and 50% for fake, but it feels like is 90% for fake and 10% for real... I am wrong? Or it's just me.

You can adjust to everything being on that slight delay. As it is negated hits and confirmed hits give you the same feedback.
