As a runner of Empathy, I too am nosey and like to see what others are doing. Us aura readers are never bored trying to figure out in solo queue! ๐
Empathy is one of the most underrated perks in the game, I don't see how it's not more used with the info it provides on darn near the entire map

I play weekends only, to much work. I'm EU btw
Ok how about on Sunday then? And what time your time are you available?

People think I'm capping with my 99% winrate.
So challenge me then. You can Live stream the games and I can show bhvr how strong killers can be. Apparently this is something impossible but that's what I'm doing for months in pub lobbys
How long are you on for today? After I get off work tonight I can get a squad together and you can show us

I don't think the bugs in the game are going to ruin your computer, even if you have to hard reset it. It isn't really how computers work. Now, if you wanted to screw up your computer hard reset it or shut it down when it's installing updates while it's either starting up or restarting.
Actually that can ruin your PC by doing a lot of hard shut downs, it's can cause a variety of issues but from that specific issue your power port could go out because if you're doing that more than a couple times a day then it's damaging your computer in some way shape or form even if you don't see it immediately, and a computer freezing up and being shut off improperly multiple times a day could damage your motherboard as well. I personally haven't had an issue with mine but I don't doubt the claims

Can someone explain to me how Dead Harding after dropping a pallet is a sign of cheating? If she dropped the pallet by accident, she could have used Dead Hard by accident.
As for Boil Over, she might have been hitting all Skill Checks and did you fall from a height whilst carrying her? This adds a decent amount to the wiggle bar. Also, there are other perks she or her team could have been using to make wiggling more efficient.
It's not a sign of cheating people that blame hackers for everything refuse to accept they were outplayed when in reality everything in this game has a "tell" , like survivors when vaulting a window their item disappears and as a killer you know if they committed to the vault or not by that and survivors can't do anything to keep you from noticing their item disappears like a few steps before the window because you get the fast vault prompt a little before you're actually there, and survivors can use audio cues and visual to know when the killer drew their weapon back for the swing with the sound it makes before the swing and seeing the killer draw back so good survivors can know exactly the time to dead hard, but tell anyone here that and they claim they face auto dead hard all day everyday.

Yea because people like them can't accept being outplayed and have to have a scapegoat because anyone who beats the greatest DBD player ever must be cheating right? He reminds me of the streamer I won't name saying anytime he gets outplayed at a high wall he knows the survivor is hacking
-

Yeah it's at the point where if I get destroyed by PC players, I just assume cheating. I only respect console survivors
You don't know what platform they're on because PC players with Microsoft or EGS show up as a globe to steam as well, it's crazy you have such a ego that if you lose to a PC it's automatically a hacker in your eyes, didn't realize the greatest DBD player ever was right here in the forums please forgive us ๐

This is why I'm against an autoban system, they will target all content creators and get them banned

I never considered that in statistics. that could be true. I personally love playing sadako because its super cool to have a killer that earns a mori as she plays the game. She plays so different from other killers that it is really cool. Downing people with m1 killer is not so appealing but the whole play-style is fun. it feels like your playing totally different game from normal dbd.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3233226#Comment_3233226
Well some people put sadako as like worst killer in the game and having base-kit mori and huge map mobility does not feel like worst killer in the game. Its just that at base-kit, the mori mechanic feels not very strong with no add-on's as in. it does not work properly. 100 second cooldown tv's and 7 stacks of condemn. you need to 7 tv teleports that take 700 seconds. With TV's being only form of condemn build up in base-kit. its not practical to mori survivors at base-kit with 0 add-ons.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3233271#Comment_3233271
i think sadako is similar to Myers. Myers does not have tombstone base-kit, but if he did, surely he would have way higher kill-rate because people perceive tombstone piece as unfair add-on. Sadako has tombstone piece base-kit but her tombstone piece is too time consuming to activate in a normal game with no add-ons, so her add-on are similar to J.Myer's memorial. They make condemn build-up faster. Given how different gameplay is, perhaps survivors are just not used to a killer that plays off condemn build-up over hook-states. Myer's play a lot different with tombstone compare to normal so he is unique in his own way when he uses those add-on's.
I agree with that, I think always going for the condemned Mori is a bad tactic but also survivors can counter it easily, her map mobility and somewhat of stealth even though it's not the best is good still and there's always a chance you play your cards right and everything falls into place for a Mori but it's unreliable, I still stand firm that she's a B tier killer though

You're absolutely allowed to have that opinion, but that is still confirmation bias. You are taking your opinion and using a separate statistic to try to prove it, when the two have plenty of room to not be directly related. People often cite the fallacy as "correlation does not equal causation," meaning that the result itself was not necessarily caused by the hypothesis, even though the result would imply it. In other words, as long as you keep it as opinion, that is perfectly fine, but you have to be willing to likewise accept when other opinions will conflict with it.
Of course that's what a forum is for in the first place lol, people are allowed to have their opinions and I'm allowed to have mine I'm more than willing to debate anything with a civil conversation but some people get outta hand and upset you aren't a hive mind
-
@Ryuhi said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3233226#Comment_3233226
Her performance isn't because of her kit, its because of the fact that only people who are exceptionally good at M1 killers even try to play her. These types of stats are very easy to enforce confirmation bias, especially in the form they're both taken and provided.
Edit: They also developed the condemn playstyle around specific addons which has helped her stay afloat with at least 1-2 kills per match. She's in a situation like spirit where people consider her at two completely different strengths depending on that alone.
Well I do fine with her and I wouldn't call myself exceptionally good though I've been here since the beginning, her kit does have some to do with it as well but that's just my personal opinion, she's better than most people will give her credit for

sorry but you're still crazy.
she's still pretty crappy and she won't see much play outside of her dedicated players as long as she stays the way she is. especially with the release of killers like wesker who made almost everyone switch to him already.
plus dredge already does everything she does better and if basekit ub is implemented it'll further kill her due to nerfing her most common strat.
Well to each their own I guess I still think she's good, I have fun when I play her anyway

People who play sadako are generally really good. they can make good use out of the hit and run playstyle even if she is a really crappy m1 killer.
Yes very much so I tried to say this when she was released and was told hit and run is dead and her teleport was weak, this is why I put her at B tier and these people thought I was crazy, but her kit offers a few different ways to get the upper hand if used correctly, I think the people who brainlessly chase survivors for five gens without realizing it are the ones saying she's weak
-
It's impossible to stop the cheaters is the bad part, no matter what BHVR does there will always be a way around it, as the game evolves so do the cheats, the only thing BHVR can do is what they're already doing which is just a back and forth of them patching things and cheaters finding a new way in, if they implement a autoban system then the cheaters will use that to hack streamers and make it look like theyre cheating just so they get banned while live, what do you suggest as a fix? How can you keep up with something that can break back in day 1 after a patch and ban wave happens
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
People are saying click ur flashlight during or right before the vault animation
Yep this is it, and the direction you look is where you'll go, if you're looking totally behind you it looks crazy it's like the window shoots you back out, I've been using it to troll with cj techs because they can't hit you where you don't totally vault

They can add a flip off the killer emote that will instantly kill the survivor that did it and add 24h DC penalty. It should be called "Toxic RageQuitter".
Could you imagine having four middle fingers waiting at the exit gate it would be glorious and the killer could do it back, or when you finally catch the survivor that was trying to troll you have a way to troll them back
-
Yea but having new emotes does fit the game they would just have to do it right
-
I was fine with the old NOED and you're seriously complaining whenever the totem lights up bright halfway across the map and basically says "come break me please" lol what has this game come to
-
I've been an advocate for this for years but only if the killer gets new taunt moves as well, that way it's not just one side doing it to the other.
-
I always say gg no matter how the match went, I'm not taking this game personal enough to get into an argument over how they chose to play
-
I agree, I also hate when I'm solo and this perk is in the trial. I had a teammate flame me in chat for not healing them up but I literally couldn't do anything and I guess because they don't play killer or understand how it works, they didn't see how eruption kept me from doing anything, at the very least if it doesn't change they should at least notify the other survivors that you've been affected by it with an icon by the perks or a status effect on the picture, just so you don't get trash talked for being unable to help them
-
I feel like survivors have it just fine it's been a blast for me so far, I don't see why some people see it as toxic it feels like an old event and they brought back my favorite Halloween menu music they used this last like 4-5 years ago or something like that, you're getting free cosmetics and everything looks cool, why would anyone be upset?

Console-only CrossPlay wouldn't even save us, huh?
Sadface
Yea unfortunately it wouldn't because some of these cheaters can make themselves appear like they're on console and they could get into console lobbies anyway, they actually were doing this right before cross play officially dropped because once BHVR starts to add any type of new feature to the game they can dig it out and use it kinda like how they were using cheater bots off the tutorial AI
-
Anytime you outplay some people they say you're cheating it's honestly pathetic, I saw a content creator claim that anytime he's outplayed by a survivor at a high wall they have to be subtle hacking it's just ridiculous the entitled ego some people have that they truly believe nobody out there can outplay them on even playing field

I mean full swf pre 6.1.0 with those builds vs 2 good perks and 2 strong add-ons. And the reason I made this post wasn't because of that, it's because they were all hovering around me trying to "bully" me even though they know I got alch ring. And imo with those build's and the way they were playing you would think they would want to have the fun slug only chase game, because they were most definitely not trying to do gens. Also if they were trying to win they would be stacking medkits/toolbox's not flash lights. They went in with the intent to completely destroy some poor wraith or m1 killer not sweat for the win.

Nope, Groaning store house. Which I would say is a pretty good survivor map. Game probably was at 4 min when they dcd
Lol wow it never ceases to amaze, if people are gonna try and troll they should at least follow through and accept the loss
-
Lol I'll bet they got shelter woods and then noped out once they saw the killer to top it off, I never burn a McMillan just because of the chance of getting that map
-
The messaging and trash talking is uncalled for but anything in game goes, I just see the humor in all of it , I'm one of the few people who actually enjoys going against a insidious bubba and backpack demo etc... Trolling is what keeps this game alive in my opinion because on both sides people love the content and YouTube proves it with all the troll builds content creators do that get millions of views, it's fine to troll in game as long as you don't start disrespecting the other player on a personal level after the match and don't have a huge ego about it all

Getting bad maps back to back is just a string of bad luck that doesn't happen often. Map offerings' primary and most common use is to pick a map that is unbalanced towards either survivor or killer to unfairly get an easier match.
Neither side should be allowed to just choose the map they want. Maybe if BHVR reworked every map to actually be balanced fair then sure, map offerings would be a cool offering. But in the current state where maps are usually clearly biased to one side, they shouldn't exist.
Alot of maps aren't clearly biased to one side though, I mean yea a few could be argued for both sides but at the end of the day it all comes down to the killer you've picked or the builds being ran,.the maps themselves aren't a problem, certain killers who have been weak for a long time probably need looked at but the mid to upper tier killers can do fine on about any map, granted certain maps can be annoying even if they arent strong for the other side just due to how a killer power works, I guess at the end of the day we all have our own opinions though
-
@tenoresax said:
This game would be objectively better without map offerings, they should be retired.
I disagree, there are certain times where the game is stuck on the same few maps and it's like you get those maps all freakin day , and for those moments map offerings should exist or at least a map vote system.

I wasn't recording at the time but I may be able to pull screenshot dates when I get off work and send you the dates so you can go through his streams yourself if you'd like? I may not have videos myself but I do know for a fact he was live and his twitch more than likely has them unless he's deleted his history which I seriously doubt he would do that with all the views he has, either way hexy isn't that great of a killer he's really entertaining to watch and it's funny to watch his chat troll him but you can also look up videos of him calling out mods in his chat and getting wrecked in a KYF against them as wraith as hilarious as that is , some people in here may even remember that one because it got posted on the forums and removed

No I don't stream
Bro you have to be trolling, I'm nowhere near the best survivor or killer but I've beat hexy literally everytime I've ever been paired with him in the game , in fact the last time I was gonna go against him he DCd because we got garden of joy as the map randomly and he was "done with that map" in his own words

I rather doubt that most players have put hundreds of dollars into the game, much less on cosmetics, but I very much would like to hear BHVR's reasoning for this.
I've probably spent around 300 dollars at this point and after 12,000 hours in game I'll go ahead and tell you these "time limited outfits" will end up in the store next year around this time or next year around Christmas on sale I don't care what anyone says that's always what they end up doing even if they don't come right out and say it, my evidence? Look at the David jacket from the lunar event and the spirit Kate shirt we had to grind for in past events that were time limited and you had to earn them and now they're default on both of them they just gave them away.
-
The real problem is everyone wants to pretend this game is real life instead of an amusement tool for bored people, outside of chat nothing in game is toxic that's within the rules, Have you tried loosening up and trying to make friends with any of those people? That's another thing people take it so personal over a game they want to insult someone who may have bm them in the match instead of learning to laugh and move on, I had a guy just 2 months ago my SWF trolled with a sabo build and instead of crying on here about how unhappy he was he friended us and we play all the time with him, I even paid the dudes water bill because he was in a tight spot this month my point being you can't judge people's actions in a video game as real life unless you try to befriend them and they're still jerks for no reason, people are here for laughs and jumpscares and having fun with friends, not to show respect in a video game you use to get away from the real world, I mean how do you guys play any other multiplayer games that allow way more bullying tools than this? Do you play GTA and hide yourself online because you're scared the bullies might show up? I'm genuinely curious

The next chapter is supposed to be For Honor, what if the killer came riding in on Maurice? Lol

So are subtle cheaters somehow able to ''make you lag'' or am i getting crazy?
They wouldn't be able to make you lag unless they hacked the dedicated server itself to get to your connection, before the dedicated servers killers could lag switch and it affected you but now it's not the case, but a hacker can buffer their own connection to a point where you see them running straight into a wall you go to hit them and they teleport across the map every time you get close

They always say that for the event and then later on they end up in the rift or for sale in the shop on a discount

okay now think of this.
myers pop his Tier 3 on a survivor with OTR or BT. Plop. Tunneled.
99'd survivor with OTR in a deadzone vs a ghostface? Plop. Marked, tunneled.
Any Kind of Exposed status effect now will be THE thing to use for tunneling.
Exposed is the last thing that would cause tunneling more because who the hell exposes a injured survivor and wastes it? Lol exposed is gonna cause more slugging because you use it to gain pressure on healthy survivors , perks like starstruck come to mind or having people 99 with ghostface waiting for the right time to pop it, you'd never use ghostfaces expose to tunnel someone injured and if they had time to become healthy they aren't being tunneled

No you won't be, afking is only bannable if you do it over and over again, sandbagging isn't bannable either unless youre targeting a specific person more than one match and trying to ruin their experience anytime you see them in your match, however I can stop playing mid game and die and it's not bannable , and if we're playing survivor I can throw a pallet on you if we're both running towards it with the killer in pursuit, force you to take the down and then teabag and run away and again it's not bannable, you really have to go out of your way to get perma banned for something

Use OpenAI integration to have AI tell when the user is trying to kill themselves on purpose. As long as it's correct at least 95% of the time then it's a success. I doubt the devs would know how to do such a thing though. Hire me if you can't figure it out yourselves. ๐
If you can create a algorithm and code they can use that works at a 95% success rate you should apply for a job with them, but the real question is if you can do it better why aren't you making games ? That would be easy money if you had the know how to be that accurate

They keep improving the survivor experience. They made it so you get 10 seconds of BT and can move as fast as some killers as base kit to help survivors with tunneling. They added a perk that gives you 80 seconds of endurance + aura reveal immunity and grunt of pain removal. Pretty good vs tunneling even if you dont get the endurance part because noise removal + aura immunity helps a bunch during chases and those parts stay on even if you touch gens/heal yourself.
They added a perk thats really good against camping albeit not as insane as it could have been.
They are trying to add a way to pick yourself up which is again really good.
They are doing basically everything in their power to make the game as fun as possible for survivors as well as killers. What exactly do you want them to do? What are you unsatisfied with. What would you like to see improved?
I think some people like me expected the devs to eventually add the new game modes they promised years ago and never followed through with, if you've been here since day one and find the game boring I don't blame anyone for that this is a very rinse and repeat game, I wouldn't say it's rough for survivors or killers really they've just slowly taken things away from both sides to the point that it's a bit stale for me now and the main fact is I've got over 12,000 hours in the game I'm just ready for a new game to come out and I'm playing DBD while I wait, BHVRS new game coming out looks sick and I'm looking forward to the Texas chainsaw massacre as well it seems interesting
-
If you really want to feel even worse about it run starstruck with floods of rage on nurse , once you get momentum it doesn't stop, the fastest 4k I've got while running these 2 perks and 2 other random ones was 2 minutes and 15 secs

Do you know what a shoulder flick is? It's when blights hitbox is touching you he can swing and get the hit instantly. So if I glide off your hitbox several times and any of those times I could have instantly hit you, you are telling me they could react to that? You could make an argument they guessed right. But blights have started baiting dh less including myself until I know you have it. And with that a lot of the survivors have stopped mind gaming their dh and expecting a blight to bait. I have seen really good survivors who actually manage to time it right after 2 baits, i knew it was real because the animation played before my swing started. I'm not saying that if it's timed so perfectly I can't see their dh animation play they are using auto dh.
Idk how many times I have to say it but your weapon makes a sound before you swing, when you hit m1 the sound plays when you draw your weapon back and if I'm running dead hard you can bet your bottom dollar I'm listening and I'm watching your weapon if you're that close, I'm not saying these people are impossible to bait but there are survivors who are extremely good at timing off the sound that I know, I'm not one of those people because I never ran dead hard a whole lot anyway but I've played in plenty of matches with tourney survivors who explained how they're near perfect at using it
-
I've been seeing different variants but most of the time the gen in that house is always a single now, I'm not sure if they changed something about the RNG of the gen spawn that's caused this or if it's just been bad RNG here lately or what

I don't think you read my post. I know there are survivor's who are very good at baiting it and even know I will bait with one rush as blight. But I don't think you read my post, no survivor wins a 1 in 3 with no idea I was going to bait the first lethal rush in the first place.
They do when there's a sound cue to audibly say "hey I'm swinging" that's pretty much what that is and if I set my sound a certain way and have good headphones it's more noticeable, I'm not saying everyone does it but I know for a fact alot of good survivors use the audio cues to know for a fact when you're swinging so they can dead hard it's all about being patient but having quick enough reflexes, auto dead hard does exist but there are survivors good enough to consistently time it right for the most part, just because you say there's no way on a 1 in 3 I disagree because sound cues are everything in this game and knowing them is what makes a good survivor, even flashlight saving out of a locker has a sound cue you can listen for to have the exact timing down it's immediately after the locker doors squeal while shutting you click and easy save.
-
I don't think there are as many as you believe, a lot of competent survivors look behind them while in chase and if they see your weapon draw up and hear the sound the wind up makes they can just DH because they know for a fact it's a swing especially with good headphones or sound settings that wind up makes a small sound before the swing , the survivors you get that try to fov DH you mid chase aren't really good and it's easy to bait but a good survivor can seem like they have it because they have the reflexes and the ability to see you while being chased unlike a survivor who never looks back and waits for the stain to appear, they know the difference between someone baiting and someone actually making a swing and audio cues also help with that
-
I saw this it's pretty funny she claims she makes no mistakes while making them at almost every turn and going for unnecessary slugs when it's clearly not a time for that, at least hook the first survivor you down and don't leave for long enough where they can get up but choose to let their teammate save them with head-on when it was obvious someone was in the locker by the position of the downed survivor crawling there, also says there's nothing they can do about exponential when clearly you can if you know where the totem is like she said she did, to me this video proves nothing but she was looking for this type of thing purposely letting it happen just to show what is possible, she could've ended the game at one point early on and made numerous mistakes in the moment
