Meanwhile dead hards more Op than before and they haven't nerfed it .

If they would have kept it the same

    - the distance i think it would be fine

Dead hard is definitely not more op than it was when you got the speed boost+ the immunity but it's still really good it's another bad design like eruption except dead hard isnt as bad to deal with in my opinion, I honestly could care less if it were removed all together

Ok, now play survivor without ever using Dead Hard, Sprint Burst, Off The Record, Adrenaline, Unbreakable, or Deliverance. If not it's a skill issue because you aren't playing without crutch meta perks.

I already don't use those perks aside from adrenaline from time to time lol but ok pal

  • The fact that the community is up in arms and acting like they can't live without it makes me happy it's getting nerfed, when you have to rely on a perk every game thats a skill issue if you cant play without it , the killer role is still in the best place it's ever been out of the entire existence of this game and nobody can prove otherwise whenever you go back a couple years and you could have two survivors with BNP that actually popped gens in like 10 secs each then the other two with insta heals that could run up as soon as you downed someone and pick them up to full health from dead and restart everything from scratch people don't realize that anyone that was here before has dealt with way worse conditions and most of us are thankful for the amount of changes over the years that have made it easier to play killer, instead of being old trapper with all your traps and hooks sabo'd in the beginning of the game and having nothing but basement the WHOLE game hopefully being lucky enough to have iron grasp on so you have a chance.

  • Unpopular opinion but I feel like they need nerfed in order to undo the bandaid fix they threw on gen speeds so they can find a different way to take up time like giving those secondary objectives we all want, increasing the time you hold m1 in one space should've never been an answer in a video game where engagement is what you want, I argue that doing this opens the door to more changes that currently can't be done because of those perks and in the long run youll more than likely end up benefitting from a new change more than feeling like you need those things to win when in reality you really don't need them and they're a crutch

  • It's not, people just want anything fun removed so they can't feel bad for falling for it, they don't want any more brain power to go into this already brain dead game

  • @FilthyLegionRevival said:

Before you go and say "Just google it.", I have and no one has given a proper answer to it. So in about all of my games, I get timed out. Ever since I got this new internet, it's been doing it with dbd now. I played this for so long because it didn't interfere with my internet. Since it does now, I've been locked out of playing due to the penalties I've been given thanks to this issue. It's the typical other players moving in a straight direction and running into a wall. Does anyone have experience with this and have a solution? Since we finally have our own internet, I should be able to interfere with it but we weren't given the admin credentials for the router we now own.

    What platform are you on?

  • I feel like it's fine, not everyone is a god at the game and after all the people running eruption and ultra slowdown builds on solos what did you expect to happen? Now that this change is made they can do more killer buffs to the ones who truly need it because solo isn't gonna hold anything back anymore which is a big reason alot of the problems both sides have had with the game were there, some people refuse to accept that they're bad at the game is another problem for both sides and they want their hand held, in my opinion this game has gotten bland though no matter which role I'm playing and I get bored pretty quick when nobody is on to chat with because it's the same thing essentially over and over , I see a ton of veterans leaving the game this year with alot of good games dropping.

  • If reactive healing is involved everyone can heal themselves at that speed or faster if you're an altruistic group, running reactive healing, mettle of man and a medkit in a swf can be hell for the killer and especially if you throw a sabo in the mix with all that, just think if everyone is injured but one survivor and the uninjured survivor tanks a hit then everyone is automatically 50 percent healed in the area and if you can quick heal and keep taking aggro in a precise manner then it almost impossible because people will be able to tap themselves healed after two aggro hits, go test this and bring a video back I promise you'll agree

All things considered, I'm looking forward to facing them =)

Impredictability and the fact that she's actually a killer you have to lose, to mindgame, to confuse makes her one of my favourite to go against. You don't just run or loop. It's fun !

Plus at average level, most Nurses I meet are really nice. I'd definitely be more bitter if those first Nurses I faced when I was a baby survivor hadn't been some of the most encouraging players I've met.

See and this is because nurse mains have a hazing period when they first start playing, or at least there used to be before bots were a thing but that specific killer has the hardest learning curve and you get bullied a lot before you start being good enough to smack a squad down like they're nothing

Against the absolute lowest rock bottom of MMR dogshit survivors, yeah I wonder why its easy mode on the PTB, I wonder what THEY did...

So you think only terrible survivors play the PTB yet there are plenty of content creators who stay on the PTB during this time playing both sides, my MMR on live servers definitely isn't low but I'm not sure if it's on in the PTB or not

1.) I couldn’t care less about the nurse nerf, it’s more annoying that after she got nerf, instead of enjoying the fact that nurse finally got nerfed, survivors would rather just skip and go to the next killer who needs nerfs

survivor mains only care about themselves. They never advocate for any of the weak killers to get buffed like trapper or pig. And instead make post about deleting killers because “I can’t loop it”

so yes, I’m dramatic that killers are getting nerfed 1 by 1. But you lack empathy, narcissistic tendencies of course.

This is not only totally untrue but it just shows you're a newbie or you'd realize killers are in the best place they've ever been in, the days of having double pallets at every loop and recovering exhaustion are gone, old BNP that could insta pop a gen gone, hook sabo'd used to stay gone the entire match, ds was available on first down with no hook, insta heals could pick someone up crawling to full health, the old balanced landing was nerfed along with dead hard, every vault was a fast vault and there were true infinites etc... People really don't see how good they have it, if you struggle as a killer in 2023 it's because you're bad the excuses have pretty much ran out at this point for people who still cry about killer

  • @Xendritch said:

BHVR: Brings back 7 blink nurse

Clowns: Might as well be a survivor main now

Lmao that's what I'm saying, nurse just got easier I literally can't argue it takes a lot of skill at this point to use her and I've been a nurse main and advocate that she takes skill for years now, I expect the killrates to increase with her it felt like easy mode all day on the PTB I'm not sure what they did but it feels better while using her now

  • I don't think the guards are hard to deal with but his design is terrible because they can just insta drop a guard at every place you run to and it just takes the brain away from the equation and becomes stale gameplay, I can see how in certain situations you could feel that way just because of the lack of thought needed with a strategy like that, it definitely doesn't take alot of brain cells to play this killer I will say that

  • They need to make different game modes that offer different objectives to achieve victory, this game is just getting boring these days, you can't play any top tier killer without catching heat for it even if it's just for the fun of playing them and as a survivor you get trash talked for having fun and not gen rushing but then when you do rush gens you get complained at for ending the game too quick it's just annoying anymore and it's turning into "My Feelings" simulator where we get judged like politicians in a video game for trying to have fun

  • I wish instead of dropping it you could throw it like the clown throws bottles it would instantly become my favorite item lol

  • The meta is just stale is what the issue is, it's something that at high MMR is unfun for both sides really at the moment, I play like four survivor matches and I'm bored then I go play killer for about four matches and I'm bored then too, I think I've just got too many hours and I'm getting burnt out on this game neither side is really hard if I'm being honest and it's rinse and repeat gameplay, the devs need to find other things to spice the game up like new game modes with different objectives that still keep the horror vibe while opening up a world of possibilities to keep people entertained and draw new players in

  • It really depends on a lot of factors and you can't really determine which side is stronger, it depends on teammates, killer choice , perk builds, and skill.

There are a lot of bad players at the game and people who are just new and don't know any better, this game can never be perfectly balanced for all sides and everyone be happy about it, an example is the QOL change killers received had some survivors crying they were too OP even though it's really not, those people just don't play the game enough or they aren't as skilled as the people they're faced with, then you have some killers crying still about DH and COH even though they were both nerfed and are both mediocre at best now. You never can please everyone and some people are gonna struggle with certain killers/survivors more than others because nobody plays the exact same way.

  • @VillainousTurtles said:

… or, people could just accept that valid tactics such as camping and tunneling are part of the game, and stop trying to whine their way into nerfs.

Im not against camping and tunneling but it's ironic you say this whenever killers complain way more than survivors and ask for nerfs all the time, I guess you'll show the same energy with those people right?

  • Just run perks that give you undetectable in the higher tiers you could run play with your food and trail of torment and get movement speed buffs while undetectable at the higher tiers already so you don't have to lose that style, even perks like dark devotion are really good on him if you want to keep the undetectable status, buffing tier 1 isn't game breaking but it also isn't necessary unless they completely rework certain aspects of him which is fine by me I personally would like to see him reworked and add-ons redone

"there's a reason why BHVR threatens to ban people over doc camping a 3 gen and just inducing madness"

Let's be clear on this: I am NOT defending players who use the NWTH / Call of brine / Eruption / Overcharge build on the knight (or any killer for that matter) to camp a 3-gen from the start of the game without ever taking a chase.

I'm just wondering about what you just said: what elements could BHVR bring forward to issue this kind of ban?

Because from the killer's point of view, he was just applying an optimal defense strategy.

I agree that this kind of game is more than annoying to live, but how to define the limit between the voluntarily abusive and the valid strategy? At what point can we consider that the player is abusing?

And at what point does a player who protects a zone go from being allowed to being forbidden? How can we define these aspects?

Suppose a survivor wants to chase the killer to a location, and the killer stops following him because he sees that the survivor is trying to chase him away from the generators: does this become punishable behavior? Does this make dropping chase a prohibited behavior?

Again, I am NOT defending the 3-gen knight build's camping at all, I was just wondering.

Idk I never said they should ban anyone I said that BHVR threatens it in certain situations for a reason, it's because the strategy in some situations is too strong, enough to where it can be considered holding the game hostage and to me that's bad design and bad gen layout that shouldn't be there, I'm a firm believer that nothing in game should get you banned if you aren't hacking

  • I just think if BHVR would spread the gens out a little more on certain maps it would be ok, theres a few maps I could defend the argument on that 3 genning can be broken because of the design and the gen spawn layout, one example is azarovs resting place or however it's spelled, the shape of the map and the way the gens spawn make it too easy because I can pick the side with the most gens and just patrol that one side and not even worry about losing because there's always one side with four gens that are close and it's a bone shaped map so essentially you can stall the game at 2 gens and force them into bad scenarios from there and certain killer abilities amplify this problem, there's a reason why BHVR threatens to ban people over doc camping a 3 gen and just inducing madness and it's not because 3 genning isn't strong it's because the layout plus the killer ability is broken sometimes and you can use that to hold a game hostage instead of actually killing the survivors

  • I can't wait for this game it looks amazing

  • My swf played a Ormond and 3 of us brought coins as offerings and builds to rummage items , brought them all to the Christmas tree in the main building and showed the knight and he greatly approved and we started messing with the snowmen lol

  • @BillsHere101 said:

First Dredge and now Knight. It's weird that Wesker, a licensed killer, is the strongest out of the 3 in latest chapters. Why didn't Dredge and Knight get the same treatment as Wesker?

You think dredge is weak? That's just crazy, I get why you'd say knight is bad but dredge is a solid B tier killer

  • See there is a downside to all that though, if they throw a bunch of pallets in a short amount of time they just created a big deadzone and you can switch chase and pressure someone else and then they all start to fall like a stack of cards because there's no safety, knowing when to leave a chase and pressure gens after making them waste a couple pallets is important and if you play your cards right you can force them to create that deadzone alot quicker than you'd think

  • I would ask how you handle any other multiplayer game but it's obvious you can't, people acting like someone is doing it in real life just like someone that threatened to call the police on me for tbagging them before it's ridiculous.

  • @kk_i_cool said:

2 speed hacks in 8 games. Anyone has the same situation?

Yesterday I had a blight hacking, he was running through pallets and windows with no collision and whenever he downed you and picked up , you froze in place unable to even wiggle until you were already on the hook, dude was falling out of the sky with his rush to hit a survivor and then would just keep running without even stopping it was ridiculous, I mean imagine needing to cheat to win and still getting 4 gens done on you

  • Do you have your playstation set as your primary on your account? If you don't then it will lock like this also , I'm a PC player but I play on PlayStation occasionally and that's happened to me before, if you got it for free from Sony in the past it will always be there if you keep it in your library

  • If you get slugged by Onryo it's your own fault, if you let a m1 killer slug all four survivors there's no reason why someone cant run long enough for them to get picked up off the ground unless you're getting mopped up in the match.

  • MMR doesn't work, it never has, it probably never will.

I feel like there was a time when the ranked matchmaking was at the best because you had to be a good player to rank up, but then it got messed up as well and it's pretty much the same as we have now where you could be on a winning streak and still get paired with noobs who happened to survive a few games and get thrown in with better players,

So basically MMR can't work because it's always throwing newer players into a higher bracket in order to try and determine a skill for them and gauge where they're at, but in turn when they aren't good it doesn't only bring them down but the others as well even if they were playing extremely well and that causes MMR to always be off unless youre in a swf of high MMR and even then you can still get paired with killers who are noobs and it still doesn't work properly.

Except both sides have FAR too much control over how much fun the other side will have.

Even if they lose, Killers can absolutely ruin one person's game.

Even if they lose, survivors can stress the ######### out of Killers and make them have a miserable time.

It's on the person to brush it off and move on no matter what side because it's a game, I encourage people to find the humor in all of it , laugh it off and move on and they'll be more pissed you didn't give them the reaction they were looking for

I mean the way this game is, that survivor who you feel disrespected you could be the one to get you out of a match later on and become a friend, but nobody who trash talks and gets upset will ever know that because then that person will say ######### it leave em to die, this is why in chat I'm always respectful and nice win or lose because at the end of the day game is over at that point and we're all having fun.

  • Nobody should care at all about either side is the truth, the people who want to get salty about camping, tunneling, SWF, genrushing etc... Are the main problem with this game, it's not real life ya know? Someone didn't go to the killers house and smash a real pallet on him , start dropping bags and leave, vice versa the killer didn't go to the survivors house and beat them up , watch them bleed out on the floor etc... When people forget this is supposed to be fun and not serious 100% of the time that's when it's time to play a different game and chill out instead of people acting like they're all certified GOATS of the game and how dare anyone disrespect their pixels in a imaginary setting 🙄

  • @HugTheHag said:

Honestly just making her blink attacks count as special hits would go a long way without harming her playstyle for most players.

I'm a firm believer that in most levels Nurse is really fine and that so is her basekit. It's only really good Nurses with really good builds that are a bit OP.

Nurse is fine for the most part it's her recharge and range add ONS that make it an issue, if I was gonna nerf anything I would completely remove those add ONS and make the second blink take a little longer to use and increase her base movement speed by 8 percent so she's not totally blink reliant and if you outplay the first blink you've got time to try and outplay the second one or make distance, I don't think she's broken but I understand why people would think that way when they run into a good nurse that is just hitting the blinks perfect, and I guess even though I have thousands of hours , not everyone else does and some that do may still struggle anyways

  • Killrates in this game don't mean much in my opinion but in the case of nurse and Onryo that comes down to Onryo being easier to play than nurse, the same could be argued for blight that his should be higher, I think we'll see some changes with the bots being in the game and those killrates will be a little more accurate due to not as many people hopping right into pubs with the first time playing a killer, as for trapper his setup time has always been his weak point but he is a killer intended for beginners just due to easy pick up and play, he's a basic m1 killer that his power needs no time to master because it's setting a trap, you're really just mastering your m1 chase knowledge and tile knowledge to play him

  • I agree it should have an additional effect, people complain about anything I'm not surprised it's like this every chapter, people seem to forget if they're not undetectable then you can hear them from a mile away coming with their WWE entrance theme jamming

Not to hijack the thread of neediness here… but how well I can play nurse is irrelevant. It’s kind of like saying I don’t know if my food tastes good if I can’t cook it. Or I don’t know if a movie is good if I can’t make one. I’ve played against hundreds of nurses over ~10k hours. I’m fairly well qualified to say an experienced nurse is the strongest killer in the game and i mean seriously… is it even an argument at this point? Everyone on the planet knows Nurse is broken. I never said she was easy to play. The problem is that once one puts the work in to be good at her she’s OPAF and ruins the game.

I was laughing at your comment and making one about the nurse nay sayers it was never directed towards you, I simply tagged you because I found the comment funny

  • @Audiophile said:

Lofl. Takes pride in using a broken killer in an asymmetrical game with horrid matchmaking. AND needs validation. Trump supporter.

Lol while that's funny, Id like to see just one of these "nurse is easy mode" people use her against bots and record the full match to be viewed , if they can't absolutely body those bots then I can't take anything they say serious and it proves at the same time they're wrong about the character being too easy

3 seperate games in 4 and nowhere to hook anyone, the last I had to DC as there was a huge area where the survivors could go down and there was nothing I could get to.

Have I just had 3 fk'd up games by BHVR's hook generator system or is anyone else having these new issues?

There's no way, are you sure they weren't running residual manifest or boil over to keep you from seeing hook auras?

  • You mean they weren't running hoarder with Franklins instead? That's crazy

  • I still get angry at BHVR thinking about what was taken from us, also let's take a moment to remember space Hag when you could set the traps with collision under second story window vaults and launch a survivor like 1000 feet in the air , I used to love messing with that in KYF , if you stayed on the husk it would teleport you in the sky and you would just fall for eternity until you lined back up with the map

  • The knight is only good in certain situations, but most of the time you can get away from someone trying to summon a guard on you in the way you're speaking of, and if they do get spotted they can just take a early hit from the guard and use the speed boost to get big distance on a killer that is not able to catch up without throwing the game , I've had some success as knight but it's because survivors don't yet realize it's better to take that hit and make distance rather than risk a double tap by trying to outplay both characters in a bad spot and at that point it's either switch targets and abandon that chase or try and catch up and lose gens

It matters if I can tell what they are running based off of items and clothing. In my experience the flashier they are the more BMing they’ll do. So a level 60 Survivor dressed up like a circus? I know they are going to be a problem. I’m just wanting to get used to this new guy without having some Ming finish a generator with 30 seconds because of new part a d hyper focus.

That really doesn't matter though I've seen survivors be the most boosted players dressing flashy, alot of the times those are the ones that DC when they get downed quick from my experience

There is a way to tell if it’s a cheat. If you swing and purposely miss the persons DH animation will play automatically. It’s a way to see if it’s a cheat.

That still doesn't tell you anything because they could be thinking you're about to hit them instead of purposely missing the attack, there is no real in game way to tell whether it's a cheat or not no matter what otz or others will try to claim, BHVR can tell an auto dead hard because the timestamps will always be the exact same timing instead of varying like it would a normal player

I faced a premade SWF including a professional DBD killer who claims to be #1 in the world with Plague for 4k's and downs, 6th in the world with Artist 4k's.

And I 4K'd them as The Huntress. It has always been my goal to play against someone with much higher skill than me, and win. Sadly at the end they claimed that I was teleporting.

So how did you get the survivors end game screen? The character being played in the screenshot is ada Wong if it were the huntress you would see her at the end and the name highlighted like Ada's

  • You get a friend to run to your gen when they're about to go down and activate blastmine, they go down near the gen and as soon as the killer kicks it and eats the stun theyve already crawled under the killer and then I either stand inside the killer and tap the gen forcing the pickup on the survivor and get the save or I crouch on the opposite side of the gen and tap as soon as they're recovered from the stun and then get the flashlight save it's really not hard to pull off

1 … 10 11 12 13 14 … 60
