Because the killer wont leave. So the survivors wait until the first stage is almost up then think "ah screw it" and run in anyway.Orion said:@The_Crusader said:

I manage to get the hatch many times against the spirit. But sat holding M1 while they circle the hook and then having them force a 10 minute hatch stand off isn't fun at all.
It has nothing to do with not being able to beat them you toxic person, its the fact that its as dull as watching paint dry. Why dont they try getting good? Spirit can be hard to use fsir enough, so a lot just dont use her power to chase they simply use it to camp the hook instead. Its sad.
I didn't call you anything and I'm not a Killer main, so clearly you're thinking of someone else.
So a Survivor decides to farm you for points, but the Killer is the one at fault? Walk me through your thought process.
If you're not having fun with this game, you should switch to something else. I hear Civilization is good.
Yeah the survivors would be better off gen rushing but the killers are starting the problems by refusing to leave the hook.
Besides its pretty crappy to ask survivors to just let that person die and not trg to help them. Plus some get fed up and suicide on hook or D/C which leaves the killer free to camp the next guy.
Why do people always try to push this on survivors? Some rush hooks and yes thats their fault but sometimes they wait and wait and the killer never leaves. -
Its rarely me that gets caught first. But like i said when you are caught shes on the hook as soon as you're unhooked. If you get caught once you never have chance to escape because they'll be there the instant you're unhooked.Vietfox said:

They walk away a bit then phase walk back hooing tk catch someone unhooking you. If nobody is there they just repeat it over and over again until someone does unhook you, then they down you before you have a chance to get away and rehook you.
If you're not the one being camped have fun doing gens solo while the other two survivors run in, get hit, run away, heal, run in, get hit, run away, heal - and repeat. Though in some cases they do manage to unhook at which point the killer puts them right back on the hook and gets to skip the timer.
They are really boring and unfun games.
No it's not game over. Each killer requires a different playstyle, also if you are having issues with the spirit use lightweight, iron will, etc.
Oh and please dont do the "bring x perk" thing. We all know that excuse gets used for every issue with the game but you cant have a perk for everything with only 4 slots. -

Well survivors bought the game to play it and enjoy it too. Maybe you lot could stop crying for nerfs every 5 minutes to ruin their enjoyment of the game.
Who are you to dictate how strong/weak each side should be?
Oh and stop crying about SWF flashlights, bodyblocking and teabagging. Who are you to tell them how to play? -

Yeah killers get pissed at swf and play toxic.
Survivors get pissed at camping killers and only play swf then and go toxic.
Each side makes the other worse. -
@towhead I made sure to thank the killers that didn't camp for not camping, to let them know that their playstyle is appriciated.
I'm retiring from survivor though.
@harry14141414 Its not always the people complaining about camping that get camped. There's a 1 in 4 chance.
Often its other people getting camped but it still ruins the game or everyone and sucks for those being camped. -
We can remove Tombstone Piece too.

As a survivor would you honestly want WGLF buffed?.
I don't think I would. People farm enough already with it. Making it better would just increase that.

Not saying it excuses their actions but I can relate. I spoke to one as he stayed in chat after DC'ing. I demolished their team because their teammates played really bad. He was angry that he always gets put with survviors who make bad plays like rushing unhooks, or killers who just camp and tunnel everygame.
Seen others mention similar things. I imagine it must get frustrating when you have 10 games in a row where the killer never leaves the hook, or never leaves the basement and your fellow survviors run in anyway and everyone gets hooked before even 2 gens are done.
So I can understand why they just skip when they get a bad game.
Me? I just stopped playing survvior entirely. The game is too teambased to be played without communication. Plus killer is the power role and lets just say that there are some very poor people abusing that power role.
I'm the kind of killer who hooks and forgets
I never use perks as make your choice, and you can guess why! I never go back to my hook ...specialy if there are 4 man standing
but the thing is, once I spot someone I get them downed real quick and thats how people are DC'ing
And then some are just manchildren who quit because they used their DS and now have no crutch lol -
If that works for you that's fine. I got bored of it though. The last part always dragged on way too long when it was game after game after game. If its going to come down to that as my best chance every game I found it better to just skip playing survivor entirely.Orion said:@The_Crusader said:

I think the rng is to stop the game becoming stale. It's already kind of predictable with where survivors will run, I assume with a static map you'd just get survivors all running for the same spots over and over again.Malakir said:@The_Crusader said:
So on your list where does balance begin and end for you?For me it's between high tier to mid high tier. I think the top tier feels a bit cheap but killers below that feel like they can't win every scenario.
Same for me. even if more on high tier side. Billy is actually fine, I won't change much about it while Nurse might feel unbalanced but stealth would destroy her if done right. She might feel cheap when you play against her but that's actually how you would feel playing Trapper against good survivors so, mh
Before touching Nurse or even Billy to some extent I would look it up the map designs, maybe even take off the RNG on almost everything and redo every map with a good design. What I mean, take the map as they are, change some things like reducing the size or what not, put vaults and pallets in strategic points so there are few safe pallets for newbies but most of them can be mind gamed by either side. As survivor or killer mind game the opponent is so satisfying I would incentive this aspect.
So you would have nice chances to catch survivors or evade and/or hide, only then I would touch high tier Killers. Before that if I was a dev, I won't touch anything but low mid-low tier buffing them
But on the other hand yeah I've always thought maybe good map design rather than RNG would help alleviate some of the BS we see in the game. Sometimes the rng creates such safe areas that it takes forever to catch survivors or you have to abandon that area entirely.
To be honest I'm not sure how they can buff mid-low tier killers without changing the game itself. Add-ons wont help them too much. They'd need to change pallets up and loops, which then risks making the stronger killers like Billy overpowered.

You create a really hostile atmosphere for survivor players, it's no wonder not as many get involved in these discussions.
Point out where I have been wrong in this discussion, if you don't mind.
I told you that the idea you said we'd think was dumb was already tested (in the very first PTB, no less) and proven to be dumb. This is a fact.
You said that pallets being more spread out also meant that there were fewer of them, which I debunked with my knowledge of density. Those were my two (counter)arguments in this thread so far, not including this comment. Maybe the problem is that you can't admit to being wrong.
And no my point was pallets are easier. Maybe its density rather than quantity but it doesn't matter because they ARE easier to deal with now. You saying its density rather than quantity in no way nullifies that argument. -

Billys chainsaw isn't anywhere near as powerful when you can't instacharge it or spam it over and over (though overrall he's still a decent killer)
Spirit cant phase walk very far eithout add-ons so she struggles to get around the map
Wraith takes forever to reappear without add-ons and isnt too fast without them.
Myers takes ages to hit tier 3 without add-ons
Freddy.....lol
Trapper can only carry 1 trap at a time which makes him useless.

There's plenty of random BS in the game. Instaheals, keys, moris...plenty to keep complaining about but keep interested.
If DS was a rare item rather than something guarenteed at least once almost every single game I think it wouldn't be as bad.
We know keys and moris are broken but yes they do allow that random "omg" moment to happen which we all love when it pays off for us.
I think DS could be one of these if it wasn't so damn common. -

Yes a killer with 120% movement speed who can vault pallets should definitely be able to down survivors.
The main problem is that currently against The Legion, being Injured is literally no different to being Healthy because they have no ability to down you and they're much more susceptible to looping because they move at 110% instead of 115%.
Whether you're healthy or injured, when the Legion uses Feral Frenzy and lands a hit, nothing happens. It's no more than a minor inconvenience and there's no point in healing to full because it doesn't make a difference.
Rather if an Injured Survivor who does not have Deep Wounds can be downed by Feral Frenzy, it would force Survivors to stay together to heal (which lets The Legion shine as they're best vs groups), or take Self-Care.
Being stabbed by Feral Frenzy while Deeply Wounded won't down Survivors - only being stabbed while injured will down.
With your comment though, keep in mind that the Hillbilly when using his chainsaw moves at 230% and can instantly break pallets, and instantly down Survivors. If he's lucky, he can do both of the instant actions at once by breaking a pallet that a Survivor is vaulting over.
With this idea I have for The Legion, they can still down Survivors using their power, but the Survivor needs to Mend themselves and stay injured to get downed - this can be completely avoided if Survivors heal to full like they should vs any Killer.
And most people think billy needs a nerf. Even so he can still be looped. Legion in frenzy is way harder to loop than Billy.
I mean yeah legion is weak due to his speed, but to say survivors dont heal is a problem...they're basically playing with the exposed effect all game. If a killer can force survivors to stay injured it's hardly a bad thing
Except Legion isn't forcing Survivors to stay injured - Legion's that weak that there is no point in healing when vsing them because no matter whether you're healthy or not, Feral Frenzy will put you into Injured State and apply Deep Wounds, it will never down a Survivor unless their DW bar is low enough that getting shanked again will put them down.
That means that The Legion is one of the most susceptible Killers to genrush - because there's no point in healing because it doesn't make any difference, Survivors won't spend time off generators to heal themselves or each other.
Like I said in my original post, why wouldn't suffering deep internal injuries while already badly wounded drop someone?
Lets not start questioning the realism of the game lol -
Its probably because you can snap out at any time that is convinient to you.
Whereas with mending you have a timer in which to get it done or else you're down. It would be very easy for legion to keep finding you otherwise. -
Well even in that case it's still easier. Not all maps are perfect (especially coldwind) but in general you don't have as many unwinnable places on the maps now where survivors can run to and it will take you hours to tear down all their defences.Orion said:@The_Crusader said:

Go watch clips of the game from a year ago. It's very different.
Did you not learn about density in high school? Pallet density was changed to be more homogeneous around the map, meaning fewer dead zones but also fewer zones with a high concentration of pallets. The actual number of pallets is the same, as anyone who's looked into it can tell you.

There, you are now a camper. Is that how it works? Accusations are always true?
Are accusations always true? No, but when there's a page FULL of them? No smoke without fire.
And yes from my experience when theres a page full of them they have ALWAYS been campers. In fact I've never clicked on a non-camping killers profile and seen thay. -
And you defend killers doing lazy plays. Pallets have been reduced, window vaults changed, healing time increased......but killers can't be bothered chasing oh no.
They still sit next to a hook and wait for the guy to die it's a win/win for the killer. Either they come to him and he gets to hit them, or they rush gens which means they get no benevolence points and no evader points - and I do think some of these killers are like that, just out to ruin the game for everyone elsd.
Maybe it's killers who should have debuffs. Slow doen the sacrifice timer if they're stood too close to the hook for too long. Oh whats that you think thats a really dumb idea? No worse than your ides about survivors having a permanent debuff for every hook.
Oh and lmfao if you're actually conplaining about this...

i used to do that the 2 gens and hatch. Still do but it's soooo boring now. Thats all every game came down to. Me sneaking around for 10 mins trying to find the hatch.
Gets even worse when killers slug, and then you have some survivors who will crawl to you ratting out your location.
On top of that if the killer finds the hatch first they'll cause a hatch standoff. Or just stand on the hatch entirely.
When the game comes down to that it isn't worth playing anymore. Even in a best case scenario where I get the hatch its still an extremely dull endgame due to the above reasons. Survivor outside of SWF is just not an enjoyable game and I'm done with it.
@Wolf74
God what is it with you? Killers are ALWAYS perfect in your eyes, they can do no wrong!
The survivors are stupid to run for the unhook yes but its the killers fault for not leaving the hook in the first place.
But god forbid these people want to unhook someone and help them enjoy the game. I can see why you play killer now, you clearly lack any kind of empathy for other people.
Lets not forget that because lf how the stupid system works survivors actually LOSE points when another survivor is hooked. The only way they can earn this back is by unhooking.
So no pal, it's the killers who are toxic. Theu sit there refusing to put any effort into the game and even if survivors rush gens they can't pip due to losing benevolence points and getting no evader points.
Keep defending it though. Really showing your true colours.
I'll stick playing mostly survivor since its easier for me and I love Feng so damn much. Still, maybe you're just burnt out. I haven't seen many Stand offs lately and actually improving escaping way more getting more BP than the killer more often
When I'll upload the video I can show you what I mean by just playing abusing your mates in a way or another. for now I think you should play killer and look how solos play in that prospective
Still, my idea won't change much. I think on of the problems is how easy bad survivors can climb (me included to some extent) and that lead in bad experiences for others
Personally I'm fed up of sitting holding M1 uninterrupted then having to sneak around for 5 mins to look for a hatch and end up having a 10 minute standoff to get it. I'm sick of having to either wait for the other guy to bleed out becauzd the killer is following so i cant even heal him or having to run because hes crawling to show the killer my location.
Im honestly done with survivor. I'm pissed off because I bought cosmetics for Feng and now I can't use them but survivor outside of SWF is just a bad game in general in ny opinion. It used to be fun but this weekend really sucked the fun out of it.
Its funny when you click their steam profiles though. People have left comments and its just a wall of "-rep camper" all over it. If we had the ability to see that befofe the game then I'd have lobby dodged. -

You could not be further from the truth, but I refuse to go that route and defend myself here against your personal attacks. You just use an ad hominem to attack me, to cover up your weak arguments.
The killer can play how he wants. There is no right to unhook or get unhooked. Your enjoyment is something the killer is obliged to take care of.And talking about your precious empathy: are you aware that the killer PLAYER are also human beings?
They are not just there to take care about YOUR "fun", but they themself are actually playing a videogame for THEIR enjoyment.
so stop asking for more punishments for legal gameplays.
Perdonal attacks? Its you giving them out. You just called those survivors "stupid idiots". Maybe they're forced to unhook to get their benevolence points back?
Yoi do this time and time again. You start throwing out insults, get called out on it then start playing the victim and reporting posts. It's really sad. If you're going to throw tantrums then lets not bother speaking.
Besides I never called for punishments. I just want more done to persuade healthier playstyles. Csmping has been looked down upon in every game ever since gaming first began. I've never seen a game like DBD however where it happens in 90%+ of gamed on somedays. It's out of control and if you don't think it's unhealthy for the long term health of the game then I don't know what to tell you.

Killers need a buff lol.
The problem is, there are too many survivors and way too less killers.
Thus killer lobbies are filled within seconds, while survivor have to deal with 200 ping.
But if killer are so laughably easy to play and gain so much more points, why there are so few?
I would like to hear your guess...
SWF
People pick up the game as a party game to play with friends. You can't do that with killer.
Yep, I think it would be pretty healthy to the gamebalance to remove that toxic feature.
Remove SWF?
Get yourself a neutral opinion.
Just because you don't play survivor, don't ruin the other side of the play.So you are just assuming thing, huh?
I play my fair share of survivor, but guess what? 98% of that happens solo!So because you ain't using a feature, it shall be removed?
Still sounds pretty biased.Do you think SWF is fair, balanced and fun for the other side?
If the answer is no and you still want to keep it the way it is, that's biased.
The irony. -
@Malakir
i used to do that the 2 gens and hatch.
@Wolf74
I could have slugged yes, then left them to crawl around for 2 minutes until they find hatch - or if they didnt want to risk crawling near a hook they would have just stayed in the corner to spite me.
I know you're trying with your list there but at the end of the day they shouldn't put players into an unwinnable situation based on a choice made before the game even began. It's not fair.
Oh and don't give me the "its not supposed to be easy to unlock perks" line because everytime you complain about a specific problem in this game people will just give you the "well bring ____" line.
But thats entitely the issue isn't it? People say bring enduring as if it was that simple. Clearly it isn't because it takes hours upon hours upon hours to get that perk at level 3 on each killer. If I could bring it I would but I don't have that option yet unless I only stick to about 3 killers. -
Ong this is exactly what I've been saying!Avariku said:bait posts are meant to annoy people that's the whole point... so you should be very happy with yourself.
xD
and sorry, but I have WAY more fun when I play killer than I do playing survivor.
rank 10 killer
and 13 survivor
I play casual/friendly as a killer and can say with confidence that when I take things seriously I get 3-4k easy. (most of the time)
but survivor? I played for 3hours today to do rituals and I got tunnelled into the ground, camped, dc's, and lagged all over the place
... only surviving maybe 3 out of 12 rounds.
granted I'm not great at survivor, but thats because I'm not great at the stuff killer mains complain about. flashlights and looping aren't my strong suit... and if I was good at them? then that would warrant killers to complain even more.
there's no winning for either side.
Survivor is all camping, tunneling and lag now. I'll forgive the lag because they might not be able to help it but the camping and tunneling is out of control. I played the game for hours earlier. Kept having to switch to killer because survivor was unbearable due to camping. Not even joking 95% of games was facecamping. So I'm done with it. Not touching survivof until there are some massive changes. Won't be spending anymore money on the game either until I can play both sides of it. Legion being a dud makes it easy to skip the next dlc. Killers cry about how toxic survivors are but really look at them. They make it unbearable for survivors.
Meanwhile I'm ok with killer mostly minus DS. Once you're good you can't really get bullied in the way you can as a survivor. Sucks that some killers aren't viable in high ranks but if you use a good one it's ok. -
I play both killer and survivor too....or at least I did. I've had to drop survivor because it's not fun at all. Killers don't ever step more than 20m away from a hook. Then catch one guy and then just bully them all game. It's really toxic. Add to that they camp then either bring NOED to boost their noob-self, or they cause a 10 minute hatch standoff because they feel that after putting in the hard work of camping 3 people out of the game they somehow deserve a 4k.douggie123 said:Hahahaha reel them in reel them in. And are you having a laugh survivors are loved the most killers get screwed constantly by various perks. I heard that they are making massive buffs to Borrowed time and how much is this going to screw the killer over. This seems to be survivor sided. I play both killer and survivor and survivors don't really have it that bad considering I still manage to screw killers over.
Well it is.douggie123 said:This post I am expecting all the survivor main community to start giving salty comments and say things like oh this is op.
Survivors have had it bad enough recently, how about cutting them a little break?
The escape rate is under 50%, at what point ks the game "balanced"? When it's under 30%? Survivors need to enjoy the game too.
Hexes weren't designed to last all game. In fact they weren't designed for standard killers at all. I only take Ruin on hag because she can defend it and mostly it's to buy her time to lay some traps and to compensate for her slow speed at crossing the map to check gens.
Killer on the other hand is pretty ok now. Go look at some videos on DBD from last year, the pallets are waaaay better now. It's shocking just how much its changed.
The only thing killers need now is DS removed, or at least limited to the obsession only.
Seriously it reads like you came up with some silly ideas, people called you out on it and now you're trying to backpeddle so you don't look like an idiot. It's not working. -
Bond. The amount of information it gives you is amazing. It's like SWF when playing solo.
Going killer only though now so guess I'll have to find a new fav perk. Bitter murmer has taken me by surprise. Really nice if you're near the gen when it pops too if its behind a wall.
I'll probably go with enduring though. Makes pallet loops and decisice stike bearable. -
Just yet one more toxic thing done by the toxic commnity.
I've never mori spammed. Its been tempting tok especially with the clowns but I've never done it.
Hell I only ever use a mori if its a 4 man squadette. -

He's underrated in my opinion. He's not great but an instadown goes a long way to helping a killer's strength.
-
Leatherface + Iron grasp + mad grit + agitation + insidious.
Nothing comes between a man and his basement. -
It also leads to an extra 2 gens being done.douggie123 said:Remove ds early in the game which usually leads to them DC'ing -
Its fun though, and to be honest its the only way to play survivor since every solo game ends up a camp and farm fest.Wolf74 said:@The_Crusader said:

Yep, I think it would be pretty healthy to the gamebalance to remove that toxic feature.
They just need to reign in the toxic groups, and offer more BP to compensate for the added challenge. -
Let me try to give you an example of how these games usually go...Malakir said:Since your OP was chill I would answer in the same manner
I play mostly egoist I do maybe that's why I survived fairly enough. I do gens 24/7 unless I know 100% he's out of the book and even then I might stick to it missing a skill check on purpose to have his attention like 'hey, I'm gen rushing, come!'
BT its fine, I never used it aside for few games with randoms who invited me in a party chat and we did some games. That BT gave enough time to the guy take a hit, run straight to the exit gates and billy ended up with 0k since after he hit once the guy he can run and I can fake on additional damage because I'll body block the killer. Happened some times during my swf experience
While I play alone I just gen rush and take the guy to a tour to pallet town, even if I suck at looping I can manage to waste some time. Between 30s and 1+min which is equal at on gen. the problems with tunneling I've seen come from the survivor side, making dumb saves when the guy is around (even warning them spamming the koebe) or Insta unhooks
Rarely I see face camps and tunneling is mostly caused by my fellow mates. I have to admit I have improved my chase skills for that reason, still a problem I have with survivors tho, no much about killer. One of the reasons why I run adrenaline and urban evasion, the first to run like hell when unhooked and gens finished the second to hide fast if not
I might be wrong but that's why I don't see tunneling such an issue or at least not on killer side. I tunnel gens all day even after they kick them so, its just more efficient
- Someone gets hooked
- If I'm nearby I pop over to unhook
- I see the killer doing a little patrol. I give him time to see if he walks away
- I now see my teammates come along and all 3 of us are sat in the bushes waiting (I always use Bond)
- I realize the killer has no intention of leaving and that none of us are doing gens
- I go back and do gens. Other two sit near the hook waiting for the killer to leave the area.
- They realize he isn't going to leave so they rush in for the unhook anyway.
- They take a hit, unhook, killer immediately downs the unhooked survivor and hooks again
- Repeat until end of game.
And that's a good scenario. In a bad one he gets both survivors down at the unhook, especially if it's a Myers.
- If we're facing a Pig, Trapper or Spirit I don't even bother going to the hook because I know it's pretty much guarenteed they won't leave the area. So I let someone else do it and when they always take a hit shortly before unhook I know that yes the killer hasn't left that area.
So you've got killers who won't step more than 20m away from the hook and survivors who get impatient and rush in for the unhook anyway (none of them have Borrowed Time).
So the game becomes me leaving the guy on the hook while the team basically farms him as if they could ever get him away safely while I spend my game holding M1 hoping I can get the gens done before everyone else is dead.
That's it. Game after game after game.
To top it off sometimes I get salt at the end for "not doing anything" even though I do almost all of the gens myself. Like what am I meant to do? Run in and unhook and help the killer skip the sacrifice timer? -
Edit: nevermind, misread it.
-
This is exactly it. They can't do the game so they camp and rely on NOED to clean up the rest.thesuicidefox said:My favorite part is how so many killers think they are good at the game when tunneling/camping is the easiest, least skillful way to play. They are just desperate to kill people is all.
The fact that everyone in here is defending it and then crying about how survivors are too strong really proves that point
I mean how sad is that, they try to justify their toxic behaviour by whining survivors are too strong then try telling us to "get good" LOL. Killer has never been easier, how about YOU get good?
