  • I agree with a lot of what you said.

Don't get me wrong, there are some survivors who are just babies and would rage quit no matter what.

However there are some who are disconnecting because the salt from the past 10 crappy games they had has been building up. Then they get into a habit of disconnecting.

When you get ######### game after ######### game its no surprise they're on edge. Everyone just wants to find a good enjoyable game. They do exist but they seem rare these days.

Maybe if the hatch was invisible to the killer? And only the survivor could see/hear it? That way the killer would be running around looking for the survivor rather than the hatch. Meanwhile the survivor would be trying to stealth around for the hatch.

    Killers need a buff lol.
The problem is, there are too many survivors and way too less killers.
Thus killer lobbies are filled within seconds, while survivor have to deal with 200 ping.

But if killer are so laughably easy to play and gain so much more points, why there are so few?
I would like to hear your guess...

Aren't killers just as played as survivors? I main both sides and I know for a fact that there's way more killers then when I started in September 2017. I don't know why killer mains are crying that there's too few of them, there's really not. Killer is just as fun as survivor and lots of people play it now. Even diehard survivor mains like I was play killer equally as much as they play survivor. Also for anyone who reads this, I think killer and survivor are both hard and take an even amount of skill. Idk what survivor mains are saying when they say killer takes no skill since it's not just m1 and 'gg ez' it takes a lot of predictions and thinking and I dont even know what killers are saying when they say survivors takes no skill it takes a lot of tactical thinking and knowing when to make a move and when to sit back and relax.

I don't know where you are getting your "stats" from, but I know a lot of killer who either quit playing completely or switched to main survivor to have a less stressful game.

I must be an oddball then since I literally play killer most of the time simply because I don't want to deal with the frustration of playing survivor. I actually wish I could play survivor more, but the level of frustration I have to deal with isn't worth the headache or lower amount of BP.

Same. I joined as a survivor because I liked the horror aspect.

Now I can only player killer because of all the BS on the survivor side.

Which sadly means I rank up quickly as killer and then only 2 or 3 of my killers are usable as most of the others still have very poor perk choices.
  • I patrol, does that make me a toxic survivor? 🧐
You are the Claudette who burns coldwind offerings.

I don't stream duer to no camera and rom isn't set up for it and I also don't play Nea, I rarely play Claudette and I don't tea bag bm. Now singling out certain characters and saying it's only these that're toxic is confirmation bias because i've had games as both sides. I've seen Bills, Quentins, Adams, Davids etc do it, I've seen with and without flashlights and P3 outfits.

The common theme is always oh it's P3 and flashlights so they must be toxic, no that's just your confirmation bias talking. Since you forget all the games where it was a P3 with flashlight they were normal players and the same is true for killers, not every Billy or Bubba is a camper.

I'm not saying those characters are toxic. Chill out it was just an example because often it's the usual characters. Obviously it can be any of them.

Not sure why you assume I'm refering to you?

And no not all P3 Claudettes with flashlight are toxic.

But there's a good chance that someone toxic will be using a P3 Claudette with a flashlight.

    You undersrand what I mean?

By toxic we're talking constant taunting and extremely abusive language in the postgame lobby.

Simply using a flashlight isn't toxic.
  • Going to be an unpopular opinion but they need to keep the hatch and it needs to be survivor sided.

Lets be honest. If you get 3 kills as killer and the last guy gets the hatch, most of us aren't fussed. We know we won the game there. In fact we dominated it. Plus if you really wanted it badly you would have slugged.

Now, here's the situation with survivors - and I don't want anyone to commment disagreeing with me unless you've played a lot of survivors.

    Survivors disconnect. A lot.

We've all seen it. You down that claudette in the first 30 seconds, she missed her Decisive skillcheck, and she disconnects with 5 gens remaining.

Now the game just immediately got incredibly ######### for the remaining survivors. They all know that their chances of getting those exit gates open are very slim so what do they do? They either decide to disconnect since the game is already ruined, or they decide to suck it up and stay in the game, earn some points, and at least there's always the hatch right?

What do you think will happen if the hatch goes? Or if the killer can close it?

The survivors would know theres no hope for them at that point. They aren't going to do 5 gens between 3 of them, there's no chance of winning, easier to just disconnect and move on to a new game.

Killers have to ask themselves would you rather have everyone disconnect or would you rather have people stay in the game and play with you?

Because I can assure you that if you take away the hatch from survivors or any kind of second chance the disconnect rate is going to increase.

Besides isn't that part of the lore? Thay the entity gives them hope? Makes sense to have a way out for them.

To the OP - I don't know why you consider the hatch a loss. 3k and a hatch escape is definitely a win. 4k is total domination. 2k is a draw and the game is balanced around that.

That's definitely just your perception of the game.
  • Yes these people just don't care. Next time you see one check their profile to see if they have a twitch or youtube. You'll find videos of them being toxic on both sides.

They make videos gloating about all the "salt" they get. No matter which role they play they're only out to annoy other people.
  • @DarkWo1f997

I tried that earlier. Killer was camping someone. Just circling around and not leaving.

I baited him into chasing me. I go down due to a laggy hit and you know what he does? He then camps me.

And nobody was taking a hit for me.

So yeah....not worth feeding them because then they'll expect all their meals for free if you know what I mean.

It's not an entire wasted game for the person hooked.

    It's two minutes.

Then they jump into the next game.

Except if you are in a SWF group and need to wait for them to finish, and queue times can be stupid long. Hopefully that changes. Its also a waste of any offerings or items you brought.

If you are in a SWF, your mates can pop all gens while you are on hook and easily finish the game. Whats the deal?

    Just to put some numbers.
A gen takes 80 seconds to complete, which means that during your 120 sec hook duration your mates can easily knock out 3 gens. Together with the 40 remaining seconds and the work done before you have hooked, this should be a free escape already.

You probably dont even have the time for a quick WC break till your mates are done

Everybody says this like it's a solution. It's not. It gets 3 people out of that situation but it doesn't tackle the bigger problem.

See when it comes down to that game after game..

    - The person being hooked loses out. Depip and no points.

    - The 3 gen rushers get no points due to no altruism and no evader

    - It's not very fun holding M1 on a gen unchallenged.
  • They need to do something extreme because it has made the game completely unplayable in solo. At least for me.

Someone makes one mistake and that's it. They're on the hook and the killer just roams around the hook area. If anyone tries to pull them off then they quickly get tunneled down before they even have a chance to get away.

It's so mean-spirited and toxic. It absolutely ruins the game imo.

I know camping has been a problem in gamss for decades but I've never seen any game where it's as prevalent as it is in DBD. Plus in Call of Duty you can just turn around and shoot the camper. If you're camoed in DBD then outside of SWF with Borrowed Time you're pretty much screwed.

I won't be touching survivor anymore outside of SWF. So good job to those killers who cry about SWF yet play in such a way that survivors feel they need to play SWF.
  • Wow a revenge thread. I feel honoured.

Ok so had a game of survivor now for my daily. I knew I was in for a bad game when the survivors in the lobby didn't correctly know how certain offerings worked.

Killer was the spirit. She got 2 hooks in about the first minute. I unhook both then the killer comes after me. I looped her for absolutely ages. Around the shack, to the asylum, inside the asylum, out and in again.

Know how many gens were done? Not a single one. In high rank 3 would have popped easily in that timeframe.

I get a yellow toolbox and start rushing gens. We get a few done but then those other survivors start dropping likes flies again. I do my second gen and give the Spirit a tour of loop town again. Gen progress is still slow. 1 person gets eliminated.

Now another gets hooked but I'm busy rushing the last gen. We get it done and 2 of us manage to make it out of the exit gate. I never went down that entire game.

Now here lies the problem and the problem is the ranking system.

I'm not going to blame those other survivors. They were obviously new to the game and didn't yet know how to play the game well. They made poor decisions - an example being a nea got saved with borrowed time and bill ran trying to take hits for her anyway. He wouldnt leave her. Survivors always do this. This let the spirit get 2 down together. Again it's not their fault. We were all new once.

You can imagine how frustrating this is for me though someone with much more experience. I feel like I'm doing most of the work. I loop the killer but they barely do gens. So I do gens but they go down in 10 seconds. I want to play with people on a similar skill level to me.

Then we imagine how it was for the Spirit. Another novice DBD player with only 1 perk - Rancor. She couldn't catch me at all while I alone looped and juked her and cost her the game. We've all been there when we started playing, looped all game. It's not a nice feeling at all. That person deserves to play with people on their own skill level.

As killer if I get reset to low rank I can quickly rank up and play with people with a similar skill level to mine. Its very easy to get 2 pips too.

However as a survivor its harder. Because its not about my skill anymore, its about the skill of the team. Some survivors just go down in about 10 seconds. They die so fast that almost every game becomes a long, dull hatch camp. Plus its harder to score. You need unhook points but theres 3 people all fighting for the unhooks, or theres killers camling which stops you.

I think the monthly reset needs to go. Unless you plan to put in the hours to rank up each month you'll always be reset at low ranks - and low ranks is just not fun. You feel frustrated by killers who camp because theh don't know any better, or survivors who struggle to last long in a chase because they don't have much experience with the game. It's such a chore to level up because again your team goes down so fast that its mostly one long hatch camp after another. Plus as said before it's really awful for the killers, having that one person survivor who obviously has far more hours on the game than you do and so you can never catch them.

The conclusion of all of this:

It's too easy to rank up as both survivor and killer.

People are artificial raised up to ranks they shouldn't be at and that's why the ranking system is still flawed.

    I agree with that.

I think its easier for killers to rank up faster. So they get put very quickly against survivors who have more playtime than them.

I also think swf rank up quickly too - because they stick together and dont get shafted by other survivors disconnecting like solo players do.

So yeah it all ends up in a jumbled mismatch. Add in monthly resets and it becomes unfair.

DBD is a weird game. You have 1 person looping the killer for 5 gens or you have 2-3 people going down to a tier 3 myers in the first minute.

  • aaaaand this is why games shouldn't start if 4 people aren't present.

It's also why a lot disconnect after someone else has disconnected 30 seconds into the game

  • I forgot to add, seeing the killers profile will also stop harassment. I've had killers single me out because they're salty from previous games.

  • I like those moments when people try to screw with you and it backfires.

Those who sit on the gen until the last second to activate Adrenaline, then the second the gen pops they get hit with NOED.

Those who bring 4 flashlights but you've got lightborn, so they stand behind a pallet trying to blind you but you smash through it, walk up and whack them  no problem.

    Ebony moris on Squadettes.

Or those intense last minute rescues as survivors. When the exit gates are powered and Leatherface is camping you and by some miracle solo survivors manage to pull off a rescue and make it out of the gates.

Both perks are ######### and should be removed from the game to improve game experience.

@Vietfox has already said it. Even if you lose NOED, you actually gain something. Most of my Freddy matches don't even reach the end game because survivors assume that I have NOED and waste their time trying to find dull totems.

People can't realize it but DS has the potential to change the game as much as NOED. When you can't get that 1 down, and hook, you just can't start to snowball and lose the entire game. This is why people don't even pick up the DS guy even if they down him.
One is the best snowball breaking perk in the entire game. The other one is the best snowball creating perk in the game and they both should get their own nerfs.

The game would be better without these 2 perks. Both sides know how powerful these 2 perks are, both of them don't want to lose their strong perks.

    Very true.

I'd also like to add that Adrenaline should be nerfed if NOED is gone. Having the whole team insta healed when you've only got 20 seconds left in the game is a bit much if there's no NOED in return.

And here we are again, Orion telling the world how he ignores people on this forum because he disagrees with them. If you ignore them, you wouldn't be talking about them.

Pearls of wisdom - like your comment about your "knowledge of density"! I actually laughed out loud at that one! The way you phrase it is like it's some kind of foreign and hard to grasp concept only reserved for highly intellectual people XD I like how you always try to make your knowledge about simple things seem like complicated science to make yourself look smarter :D I deal with people like this every day, and see right through it XD

I didn't state my reasons for ignoring him, and yes, the OP seemed unaware of what density was, given his statement about pallets.

I've seen you in COUNTLESS threads stating that you ignore him. How about you stop talking about it and actually do it?

He never said he didn't know what density is. You just decided to be overly condescending. Again, I've seen you do this to people in countless threads as well. It's pretty unappealing.

Countless? I'll admit I've said it a few times, but I think I only said it to him once. Ignoring doesn't mean you don't talk about the person; it means you don't talk with the person. There's a big difference.

No, he didn't say he didn't know what density was, but he was behaving as if the concept was foreign to him, since he equated pallet redistribution (i.e.: pallet density becoming more homogeneous) with a decrease in the number of pallets.

I think pallets are easier now.

I thought _it seemed like__ that they were more spread out and there was a couple less. Turns out you say yes they are more spread out but there's only 1 less.

Regardless, doesn't mean I don't know what density is and doesn't mean that they aren't easier. Perfect example being Badham Preschool. That school used to be a nightmare (no pun intended), now it won't spawn all the really strong pallets together anymore.

Again whatever the reason behind it was - pallet locations definitely aren't as bad as they used to be. Watching gameplay of DBD from last year makes this obvious from what I've seen.

Plus you have the exhaustion nerf, perks like bamboozle and spirit fury, healing changes, killer is easier than it was a year ago. Pretty much everyone agrees on that.

Yeah I made a post about this in the wishlist section.

If I knew this info before hand I could have dodged the lobby.

Probably one of the killer gang here under a new account trying to make survivors look bad lol
  • @The_Crusader I understand what you mean, but to argue with people like Orion, Wolf, Master et al is kinda silly considering they are closed minded and intellectually dishonest.

Master came here once complaining that he was looped for 5 gens while stacking the old Bloodlust 3 speeds.

Orion will face camp his first catch with 4 gens left with Wraith, sat in the corner of the basement and come here to ask that all M1 killers be given built in Bloodlust tier 1.

Wolf will just defend camping and tunneling despite the fact that more pressure is gained by catching, hooking and finding more people.

DocOctober is just very sensitive and will come here to rant, then get called out for his nonsense and given ways to counter things and will then throw a tantrum.

What's even worse is they will all band together (as you have noted in this thread) and then more will join because mob mentality. They will listen to sub par or average killers...but not BETTER killers that play fairly, make less mistakes and don't complain about everything, because, well, it's easier to do that than get better I guess?

    Good luck o/

Oh, @Malakir The videos you posted showed that you are terrible as survivor in a chase (not looking behind much if at all and throwing pallets down like they are nothing important) and that the killers in those games were not good either. That's all :)

Thank you for that. It's pretty much what I gathered.

When people defend camping non-stop it's pretty obvious how they play. When they say tunneling is the only way to win it says a lot about their skill too

But the mob mentality really needs to go. It's toxic.
  • And the stats dont say how much of those 60 which arent escapes are actually earned kills or disconnects, with survivor suiciding on hooks further muddying the stats.

With the current general survivor behaviour any stats concerning kills and escapes aren't as helpful as they could be.

And to The_Crusaders example solo round:
Just because multiple sandbags,  DC'ing and allegedly bad teammates, its somehow not the sirvivors fault?
But if the escape rate is below 50% then what would more killer buffs do? Drive it down even further.

Also this game yeah it was the survivors fault for disconnecting. Still not sure why that guy had to drag the game out though by slugging and then hatch camping after we were put at a disadvantage by having someone quit. Some killers just suck and will take any 4k they can get.

But again this was an example of the survviors being at fault - but every game at the weekend it was the killers at fault.
  • Vecors said:

    @The_Crusader said:
but when it comes to survivor? I'm regularly running into campers or getting killed in most of my rounds and if I do manage to escape its because I have personally done one or two gens, saw that the match was headed towards a 4k and began looking for the hatch so that I "might" be able to escape.

I honestly hate playing survivor because of this and main killer simply because playing as a survivor is just asking for frustration and getting less bloodpoints for my trouble.

    Heres the reason why:
Pipping and ranking up as killer is so incredibly easy that many people who actually never learned how to play effective, have map pressure etc.get to the high ranks and continue their dumb tunneling, camping "strategies". This way they will never win against good teams but hey, at least they killed a single person and blackpipped.
In like 9 out of 10 cases, if you kite the killer around for some gens it gets "personal" and instead of switching to another target that doesnt now what side of the map is clean (out of pallets etc) they just tunnel.
Noed and Ruin could as well be baseline abilities since 9/10 killers are running one or both of these perks.
Now be prepared for the droolers calling out "BUT DS, BUT SC, BUT SP HURR DURR".

I can totally understand why all the "big" streamers (in dead by daylight measurements ofc) downrank overnight like jendenise or abuse the game version bug to be rank 20 like zubat.

Quality survivor gameplay died with 72hrs quitting, quality killer gameplay died with casualization of the gameplay.

Yeah I feel you on that. I always thought ranking up in survivor I'd find good killers, like all the top streamers who are great at chases and mindgames.

Instead I just find campers boosted by NOED. As rank increases the amount of killers bringing NOED increases....it's almost as if there's a correlation. Plus at high ranks they're more likely to combine it with Bloodwarden or Remember Me.

They get boosted by this, and especially against solo players as they often struggle to cleanse all the totems without co-ordinatiom. Not hard to do either when they lobby dodge any groups who might pose a threat.

That's the problem with the game - it lets them do that.
  • @Tsulan
So by the same premise i guess you never camp without reason, because it's not fun for survivors either.

If you are being camped, don't just assume that the killer is toxic, you have no idea what games he has had before your game, you don't know how many toxic SWF groups he had before, a level-headed killer can get tilted really quickly, to the point he goes from a happy go lucky, just want to play the game, killer, to a 'F all survivors, the next game I have someone is getting face camped.

I've watched my son dodge lobbies as a killer, but he is not dodging SWF in general. He is a mid-tier killer and keeps getting groups with rank 2-6 in it. High rank players team with low rank players and bring that top-tier toxicity to low rank killer's matches. If he sees a member has thousands of hours in game, he leaves because he knows what is about to happen.

This needs to be fixed first. If a high ranking survivor wants to SWF with a low ranking one, they should face killers based on the highest level, not the average. A rank 14 killer vs a 4-man SWF with two rank 2's in it is not a fun experience at all. As long as that is happening, I support him dodging. Myself, I don't care one way or the other. I rarely dodge a lobby unless one of the names on my list of "no plays" shows up. Ones that were seriously immature after game, or tried to use exploits in game. Hook-swarming SWFs that cried about camping after game (like you are going to leave the hook when 3 people are rushing at it! I down them all and ended it. But lots of immature crying afterwards...YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!).

That is very true. The same is true for survivors too. Maybe the one who rage quit as soon as he was down spent the last 5 games getting facecamped and he can't be bothered waiting to see if it happens again.

Maybe he's teabagging because hes mad at all killers due to the toxic ones hes played with recently.

The toxic players really do ruin it for everyone else.
  • 8 makes the most sense and 8 should definitely be done.

The devs are going to force killers tonplay with SFW by changing the lobby system.

Couldn't they have at least got some good will by rewarding people for playing with swf? We all know they have a massive advantage, give killers a reason to play with them.

    I'd stop moaning if I got 2x bloodpoints for a 4man swf.
  • I've only started using her so I don't have all the perks but BBQ and Nurse's calling are working out great on her.
  • The breaking the pallet/generator is only the slightly useful bit. The best part is the time after that.

It lasts around....5 seconds? So you see the killer kick the pallet and then most importantly you see which direction they go.

I didn't think it sounded great but I gave it a go and it's pretty great. It's also nice because you know when someone is in a chase early on before anyone gets hit becauase you'll see the killer smashing pallet after pallet.

For aura reading perks I prefer Bond though.

Honestly that's a big problem I've had with the game for a while now... Mind you, I keep myself roughly around rank 10 as killer because of my style of play.

but when it comes to survivor? I'm regularly running into campers or getting killed in most of my rounds and if I do manage to escape its because I have personally done one or two gens, saw that the match was headed towards a 4k and began looking for the hatch so that I "might" be able to escape.

I honestly hate playing survivor because of this and main killer simply because playing as a survivor is just asking for frustration and getting less bloodpoints for my trouble.

I wish I could play survivor more, I prefer the fear of trying to escape, but I've given up on it until some changes are made. Until then I will just continue playing "friendly killer" and getting bloodpoints to unlock the crap I want since its a lot easier.
Preach on....preach on. I feel your pain.

At least with killer I can have fun. Even if I'm losing at least there's plenty of action. And if you get a hard game like 4 man squadettes on comms with the best toolboxes urban evasion and iron will on a dark mcmillan map (had that earlier) I can just counter that BS with instadown bottles and an ebony mori.

With survivor you know you're going to get farmedz camped, and that if you want to escape you're going to have to spend 10 mins crawling around the map while the last guy bleeds out and then you get met with a hatch standoff.

That's why when I play killer I play nice.

If someone disconnects I make sure to give one the hatch.

If only 3 spawn in I still play but I make sure I 2 hook everyone and drag the game out so everyone can get points, then I give one the hatch.

And if I see a survivor going for the hatch Ibjust hit them. The hatch means nothing to me if I already have a 3k. I cba with a standoff for 10 minutes. I'd rather collect my points and move to the next game.

I think you need to play a lot of survivor to be like this though because you need to have been in their shoes to understand how it feels.

Its also why I dont tbag as a survivor or hang around the exit gates. Because I know its not nice as a killer to get that.

Ok so I gave survivor one more try today to see if it was just a bad weekend. Tried to do your strat...

    • Start on autohaven, gas heaven.

    • Start near gen in shop so I work on it.

    • Kate runs in shortly after with Myers following her, he hears gen so comes after me

    • I decide to take one for the team and give the killer a tour of pallet town as you suggested

    • Do that for a little while successfully - 1 gen pops

    • Accidentally come across 2 Dwights on a gen

    • Myers pops tier 3 and somehow downs them both because even though one of them could have easily made it to killer shack in time it seems he didn't bother to run very far at all.

    • Kate disconnects

    • Unhook both Dwights but Myers is barely giving them a chance to get away before downing them again

    • Next few minutes is me cycling between trying to get another gen done to spawn the hatch and rescuing both Dwights

    • One Dwight dies. A second gen pops. Myers finds the other Dwight and slugs him.

    • That's right despite absolutely dominating the game, despite the fact that these Dwights are obviously novices, despite the fact that someone disconnected with only 1 gen done this sweaty piece of garbage decides he wants the 4k.

    • Hide from him while he lurks about. He eventually goes around a stack of cars so I go to pick Dwight up but myers sees me and chases me off. Dwight is in the middle of the map so Myers is trying to look around but also keep an eye on Dwight at the same time.

    • So I have to hide for 2 mins or however long it is until Dwight bleeds out and the hatch spawns. It takes all the willpower I have to not just disconnect and go play something more fun than the videogame equivalent of watching paint dry.

    • Dwight bleeds out. Myers stands around camping the hatch but eventually I manage to sneak to it and escape.

The state of solo survivor in 2018.

I hope the devs are reading this because that right there is a typical game for me. Not exagerrating that is genuinely how most games go. Survivors who go down two at once, survivors who disconnect, killers who get an easy game with disconnects yet slug to drag the game on longer anyway, sneaking around for the hatch while the killer camps it.

Yeah I'm done it's not for me. If anyone here enjoys this then more power to them I'm not trying to take away from that but it's really not for me anymore. I find no fun in it. I'm just going to stick to killer from now on unless things radically change or maybe I'll do survivor if friends are playing.

You just described 90% of my solo games. I have permanent residentsleeper face whenever i play survivor these days.

Exactly. 90% of your games eh?

That's what I mean. It happens and it happens a lot. The good close games with lots of pressure are few and far between.

Its just your team getting wiped out in seconds while you prepare yourself for the hatch standoff.

Or its someone camping and not moving from the hook all game.

Or its someone who chases one survivor - always the obsession - and they get looped for 5 gens so you just sit holding M1.

The game needs a shake up.

It's pretty sad that so many on here resort to such a gang mentality that they think they're right just because the people on their side are backing them up.

I'm a killer main who actually enjoys the thrill of the chase and I don't really have a problem getting kills when I want to play serious. (I'm only rank 10 because I choose to play "friendly")

and while I don't have a problem with tunnelling I definitely do have a problem with campers... it's lazy and boring.

and since I've already seen a rant about it being called lazy... yes, I said lazy.

so what if you hunted them down, got your two hits, dodged a flashlight and got them to the hook... you aren't entitled to that kill.

the game is not designed for survivors to die after one single hook. Why? because that would be unbalanced.

but it's stupid to play any other way, it's only intelligent to get it down to a 1v3 as quick as possible!!!

yet again, lazy... the game is NOT 1v3 it is set up as a 1v4 for a reason. you're just manipulating the game so that it's as easy as possible for you while still whining that its unfair against all the poor abused killers. xD

granted, I will admit, in the higher ranks it does get extremely toxic as far as those teabagging survivors are concerned, it's why I'm quite happy at rank 10.

I can play casual or friendly and still be good enough to punish the sweaty tryhards "most" of the time when it needs to be done.

but when I play my rank 13 survivor?  nothing but camping killers left and right... it's why I pretty much only play survivor to do daily's and that's it.
Thank you for that. Ir's what I've been talking about. I see one of the usual gang gave you a "lol" for it, like they always do with anyone they disagree with.

It's lazy and it's toxic. It's both funny and sad how they try to justify it as something acceptable then start screaming and crying for the devs to fix teabagging. I hate teabagging as much as the next guy but damn it doesn't affect the game anywhere near as much as camping.

I was rank 4 survivor before the reset. Then I made the mistake of not playing for a week. So the people I was on the same level as moved up but I didn't. Add in a few self-admitted rage quits due to some toxic camping and harrassment from specific players and I quickly found myself stuck with legit green ranks this month.

It's so bad at these ranks. People have no idea. I can see now why the devs can't keep buffing killers, because they absolutely clean up at these ranks. The survivors can't defend themselves. Myers especially is really bad which is ironic because hes normally easy. He gets tier 3 and downs the whole group....why they allow themselves to be caught together near Myers I'll never know.

I know the usual gang will come in and say "git gud" like they always do but one man can't carry a team. I'm only 25% of the team. I alone can't make up for the other 3 people.

Now, I am pretty good at being the last alive and getting the hatch. If I really tried I could rank up, I did it before. But I ask myself why? Because I'll just reset again next month. Unless you put in the hours to rank up every single month you'll keep ending up in green ranks.

Plus there's the fact that it's just dull as hell. The game I described above is a perfect example. My team gets wiped out about a minute into the game, people disconnect, the killer slugs and watches the last guy so I'm forced to wait 2 mins for him to bleed out, then I get rewarded with a 10 minute hatch standoff.

If that doesn't happen then it's just a killer who facecamps then uses NOED. Almost every single game I played at the weekend had full on facecamp. Almost every single game.

It's really bad. Really, really bad. I don't enjoy it at all and I can't see myself playing survivor withour friends anymore. Knowing I have to sit through all that garbage described above just to rank up for a month just puts me off it. I really can't be bothered because it feels like a chore.

That's the irony. Killers moan and whine about how SWF shouldn't be in the game and yet they're partly responsible for pushing solo survivors away with all the camping and tunneling. I know others who refuse to play solo now, half due to this, half due to other survivors disconnecting and trolling etc

In fact higher ranks weren't much better. Being honest the camping seemed about the same in higher ranks, the only difference was that now almost every single killer had NOED.

At least with killer you're in control of the situation. If things go wrong....outside of typical DBD BS like instaheals and decisive strike, you know that its your fault. Or that theres something you can do about it.

If things go wrong in solo survivor because your teammates constantly try to bodyblock for no damn reason because the killer is so close to the hook (this happens so so much) and then they turn round and they go down too, and now the killer has a snowball the team won't recover from then it really sucks because you're losing through no fault of your own and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it except either give yourself up and get hooked or prepare for the usual 2 minute slug time, pray the guy doesnt crawl to you, then do 5 mins sneaking around looking for the hatch and then finally have yourself a nice 10 minute standoff. Given all that sometimes it's better to just get hooked.

Not to mention sometimes you can't even rank up because you can't get unhook points because either everyone disconnected or some David runs around pulling everyone off the hook instantly for his ######### WGLF stacks.

It's objectively a bad game. At least killer is fun though.
  • Both are garbage, both reward bad players, both need to go.
  • I'd like a second 80's case.

  • You think it lacks challenge? Interesting take, most here would passionately deny that.

Well 1600+ hours is a lot. I've never had anywhere near that on a game.

What do you think they should do? Buff survivors?
  • Ok cool. You're the big bad killers on this forum I see.

Well I'm the P3 Claudette with Decisive and Flashlight tbagging at the exit gates. Come at me :chuffed:
  • Usual little clique all coming in to spam up the thread with how much they agree with each other.

Your gang doesn't run this forum ya know.
  • @The_Crusader

I suggest you drop the subject. You've lost this discussion the moment you entered it, the reaction buttons clearly show that. No one is on your side here. Holding the game hostage is inexcusable, despicable and vile.
Lol because killer mains here form a little clique and try to bully anyone who disagrees with them off the forum?

Well DBD is mostly played by survivors so no matter how much you cry they'll never be nerfed into the ground. I suggest you give up.

In fact with the recent BT buff, new perks like breakdown and most importantly the points/emblem change it seems that nobody that matters is on your side with camping either so....GG.

And you showed your true colours. Thanks for being the perfect example for why Survivor mains get so mich hate. You are toxic, hateful, spiteful, spoilt brats that bully the devs into complying to your will. You are not out for a fair, balanced game, you're out for an unfair, unbalanced mess in your favour. All you want is to keep your bully simulator and you're despicable for that.
#########? Go look in a mirror.

All survivors want is their game to last more than a minute. They go down, they get hooked, and for the crime of being the first hooked they get sat on and forced out of the game.

    YOU'RE THE BULLY!

A survivor in that position can do nothing to defend himself. You don't care if he hates it though, you only care that it's now a 3 vs 1. You lot even gloat post game about it, as if you're proud.

You don't want a balanced game, you just want an easy win. That's why all campers take NOED so there are no loose ends.

You pretend that you're the ones who want a balanced fair game but yet here we are in this forum again and again people like you always defending facecamp and noed. Wow, totally sounds like a sportsmanlike approach to the game.

Take a look at yourself before having a go at others.

Why are you being toxic again?

If killers force a guy to get no points and depip due to camping then we're going to do our best to avenge the guy. It's the honorable thing.

Don't like it? Then either don't camp or don't complain about it.

Walking to the exit gates and forcing the survivors out is soooo hard lmao

Why are you being toxic all the time? Stop holding games hostage.

I can take the hatch without killer knowing - or I give the killer a chance to win s hatch standoff. Seems I'm actually doing them a favour.
Oh you mean that hatch standoff that you literally said in this thread is so easy for survivors to win that you can browse the Internet and just wait for the audio cue? How generous of you.

If you see the hatch open, then take it. Anything more is being toxic.
If I see a survivor waiting on the hatch I hit them, they go out. Sorted in 2 seconds.

But lets not pretend killers don't cause hatch standoffs. They don't go looking for the survivor when the previous guy is hooked, no they go looling for the hatch. They then force a hatch standoff and stand there nodding as if theh're gloating about it. Every damn time.

Or better yet you get those who stand on the hatch to block it to deny you entry.

But thats perfectly fine, if the killer calls the hatch standoff.

Survivors used to dodge lobbies to play together with their friends, before SWF was introduced. They did it because it wasn't fun to play normal.

Now killers do the same and survivors scream for temp bans and time outs.

    Ironic
A small number of people who wanted to do that did it for what, a month or two before SWF was introduced?

That totally justifies most killers doing it for over 2 years because solo survivors just happened to load in at the same time as other solo survivors or they had a cosmetic or item the killer didn't like.
