Lmfao. Not to be mean but from the ones I've watched play they just don't have it in them.

Not queen is decent she can make it easily.

She's community manager though, I assume the op meant people that program/balance the game.
  • Thing is Dead Hard is nothing but a minor inconvenience against Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Clown etc

Against someone like LF or Freddy who can't do ######### at loops though, it can easily drag out the chase for much much longer.

I actually think NOED needs a buff. It's not fair that it can be countered when DS and Adrenaline can't.

Adrenaline isn't that bad, it doesn't get in use half the time.

Mhh... now that I think about it...

Adrenaline is the survivors version of NOED. But reversed. NOED halves the amount of hit required to down a survivor. While adrenaline doubles the amount.

    For once we agree lol

I mean you could argue NOED is more powerful because its not a 1 time use like adrenaline, but the fact is if all survivors gain an instaheal end game when there is 20 seconds remaining how on earth is any killer outside of those with instadowns meant to counter that? NOED is the only counter.

If the one that you're chasing gains a health boost and a speed burst it can easily buy the team the time needed to open both exit gates and then the rest can bodyblock so they make it out.

Something like haunted grounds would be long gone by then. MYC useless at that time as well.

I don't think Noed can go without adrenaline going.

Remove the health buff and keep the sprint burst you get then?

That would work yes. Hell you could probs buff it to 5 seconds if needed.

If DS and Adrenaline go I feel Noed should go too. If noed goes then ds and adrenaline need to go. All 3 support each other lol

But for me DS is the worst, by a wide margin.

Yeah me too. But I will not lie and say that I find NOED fair as survivor or that I find Adrenaline fair as killer. Since I just play Billy now because the other killers except Clown and Bubba feel too easy (no offense to Spirit she's difficult but not playable atm because of scratch marks being bugged) I need to git gud with looping and when people get an adrenaline on me, I cri everytim lol.

The thing that bugs me about NOED is how it enables campers.

I'd rather have it only activate if the killer has moved x metres and been in a chase for a certsin amount of time.

This way at least itnwould reward noob players who made an effort but got looped all game by a deranked experienced survivor, but it wouldnt activate for those who just sat next to a hook until 1 survivor was dead.

    Lol

Do you get stunned as Wraith by them while cloaked? That seems BS and OP to me. All they have to do is drop one near you while cloaked and you can't avoid them.

You can look up when you see the throwing animation. It doesn't blind until after you see them throw it down.

    Does it lightburn the Wraith?

Yes. If you don't look away in time.

Lightburn isn't about looking away. The survivor just needs to aim a flashlight at Wraiths body, not his eyes. That's why its hard to dodge firecrackers as him.

Yes if you see the throwing animation. Sometimes you don't either because a survivor throws it at your side which still blinds you or you hit them and tjey burst off and your weapon wipe combined kind of covers it.
  • I love how its the usual killer mains in here saying the usual "git gud" stuff.

Also stealth...lol you have to touch gens at some point, here's a character you can't even see coming from far off anyway because she teleports within range immediately and often carries a load of tracking perks. Not all of us want to use p3 claudettes with urban evasion.

  • No they're awful. It takes no skill to blind with these.

If a survivor runs in front of you while you're carrying then yeah you can see them coming but otherwise its quite easy to catch the killer off guard with these when compared to a flashlight. I've been blinded more times this event than I have all year with flashlights. Likewise I've blinded more killers this event than I have all year.

They're awful and they need to go.
  • Yeah, they refer to it as "infinite loading screen". If it goes on too long most just restart the game.

I find it amusing that DS is still on the superficial for killers to whine about. I made a list of 20 ways to help deal with/completely ruin the perk. Decisive Strike Counters
    1. Dribble
    2. High floor drop (causing survivors to take the drop down recovery)
    3. body block them into an enclosed corner
    4. Enduring
    5. Literally just taking the DS early on in the match
    6. Unnerving
    7. Doctor
    8. Swing (Sometimes it causes the ds to not work, most likely a bug, but it is there)
    9. Shaking your head
    10. Slugging
    11. Clown gas before pick up
    12. Forcing survivors to ds you into trap on trapper
    13. Bamboozle
    14. Nurse
    15. Mori
    16. Iron Grasp to an extent
    17. Mad Grit
    18. Agitation
    19. Huntress' Lullaby
    20. Rancor
I know, killers really hate having to optimize in order to counter a perk, but a perk should counter a perk. If a perk is your issue, why don't you have to use a perk that counters it? The logic that ive seen in this thread that "I shouldn't have to bring a perk to counter a perk" I've seen people saying makes no sense and very flawed logic, it makes me think if this is the 1st online competitive game you guys have played. Even certain killers ruin the perk, and if a survivor lands an unerving shaky skillcheck with lullaby? They 100% earn to get out then. Lets talk about noed, 1. 10s to cleanse each totem, 5 totems, thats 50 seconds total which evens out to be 12.5s of extra time for the killer alone, not counting the TIME it takes to run around and find a totem to cleanse it, etc, etc. NOED is a very stupid-strong perk that killers just put on and get use from the start of the game, there is no counterplay to noed like people insist, its a free win, really, it is.

Lmao at this list of counters.

Some of them like high drops and bamboozle are so damn situational that it's ridiculous you would even list them. How often does the survivor go down right in the perfect location? If you don't have Enduring drops dont even work, they can still get away, and this isn't even taking into account balanced landing.

Nurse/clown....yeah great news for the other 12 killers in the game. "Just stick with 2 killers guyz!!". Clowns bottles dont even work against it without Enduring fyi.

Mori? Yup I'll be sure to bring one of those every single game

Rancor? Worthless perk. Most killers try to win before the gens are done. Good luck actually finding the obsession once the fens are done though, considering you get a ping of 4 survivor locations while they get a full aura read. The obsession goes full stealth at this point. Apparantantly Rancor needed the aura read as a negative to balance it....god knows why every perk needs a counter or downside EXCEPT for decisive strike. One of the nost powerful perks in the game and no downside. Even Deliverance has a broken effect and it's nowhere near as powerful as DS.

    Huntress lullaby? Totem perk, worthless.

Mad grit? Ok now I know you're trolling

Shaking your head? We've all tried it, doesn't work against most survivors. I mean this is how pathetic the situation is, we're reduced to spinning our mouse and hoping and wishing the guy on the other end fails a skill check. ######### garbage game design.

Eating it early? Yeah dont bother trying to put pressure on surviors, just throw the game to take care of Mr D-strike.

The only ways to reliably deal with it are dribbling, which wastes time, gives other survivors a chance to interrupt with a flashlight, bodyblock or instaheal, and is dependent on there being a hook within a very short range.

The only other way is taking Enduring and throwing them down the basement stairs or something, which again is extremely situational.

Its easily one of the single most powerful perks in the entire game given the damage it can cause to the other side yet has absolutely no downside. It's broken beyond belief. A team with 4 of them is basically the equivalent to a killer taking an ebony mori.
  • It can be used to make 1 more loop even if you mess up. At red ranks its less about the dodge and more about that last second boost it gives you. It's actually quite effective. It allows the player to make a mistake and carry out pallet looping for a while longer.

I dont use Self Care. I used Pharmacy. - Shades on-
Yeah this. 16-20 second self-heal. That's a quarter of a gen tops. The fact I can now take a second hit means I can easily drag out a chase long enough to compensate for those 16-20 seconds it took me to heal.

I also run we'll make it so i heal others really fast.

    Self-care is dead.

People who complain about DS are also the same killers that spam the hell out of the R key whenever a survivor shines a flashlight at their face. There is nothing wrong with DS and they shouldn't do anything to change it. There will always be people complaining about something.

    Spot the survivor main.

DS is actually a laughing stock. Anyone with any knowledge of DBD knows its a stupid ass perk. When people make videos pointing out how unbalanced the game is you can be sure this will be on there.
  • Some areas though you don't even need windows, vaults or pallets to loop. Like its amazing just how long you can drag out a chase by running around one area.
  • How about this...

    They remove it.

    Perfect solution.
  • I would imagine it won't be as killer sided since the killer won't be host.

    *Cue salt*
  • Survivor:
We'll make it (default perk, very powerful at lvl 3, keep grinding until you get it)

Dwight for Bond (Will help you far more than UE or DS)

Quentin for pharmacy (faster than self-care)

    Killer:
Billy for Enduring (helps with the most broken perk in the game, also helps disrespect pallers)

Spirit for Spirit fury (combine it with enduring for killers that get looped)

Clown for bamboozle (again helps killers that are easily looped

Reshade is allowed 😉 and Nvidia freestyle is officially supported.

If it comes down to a sneaky claudette camping for hatch, I go for them and let the other person have it whether its david or meg etc

So we are forced to use 3rd party programs in order to make ingame character skins visible.
    Great design

Not forced to no. But if you have issues seeing them then its there to help.

It wasnt too bad before the update but I think everyone has said at one point the game is too dark in certain areas now and claudettes can at times be almost invisible. Add to that broken sound etc and it's seems like the devs haven't properly adjusted things yet to compensate.

Ignore powerbats elitist post. Its not about "gitting gud", some people just struggle to see Blendettes as easy. Either due to eyesight or monitor picture quality etc I personally am colourblind and I know others have mentioned it on here. Maybe thats why I struggle maybe not.

Besides freestyle has official support and its not just making it brighter, you can make it look nicer too. Some of the filter settings really enhance the lighting and the game looks pretty nice.

  • I do find it funny how no matter what the killer does there are calls for bans

But whenever survivors play toxic its somehow ok.

There really is an ochido/noob3 mentality whete the killer is there just to play fool while survivors run them around like idiots.

Just don't dc. Pick the Wraith, go invisible (so they can't find you and bully you), and hide in a corner somewhere until the match is over. That way you depip and the survivors get their points. Win win.

I thought that this is a good idea in the beginning too.
But the survivors being survivors will search the whole map for you, blind you, kick you out of stealth and then proceed to bully/farm BP with you.

The only killer that cant be bullied while afking is freddy

I've faced a few deranking freddys before. I remember the last one I went straight out because I was happy for the free win. Two other survivors stayed in though. Eventually freddy ended up killing them because they messed up and got hooked.

Going afk only works half the time because survivors will stay in the game for however long it takes to get attention...and its pointless becausr when chased they'll run straight for the open exit gates too. They ruin everything.

This idea that "because he eventually killed you" and "he didn't prolong the match" is exactly why we have little shits like that still running around in the game.

In any other game something like this would immediately be labeled as greifing, no matter how long the time (unless you're playing Rust, in which case you better be prepared to be someone's little prisoner)

In any other game, one team standing in the way to block the other from doing their objective would have been fixed a long, long time ago.

Bodyblocking shouldn't be in the game for anyone. But survivors wanted it as a tactic, so it's only fair that killers get to use it as a tactic too.
The bias is strong. I don’t get how people don’t see the difference between survivor body blocks and killer body blocks.

    SURVIVORS TAKE DAMAGE

    KILLERS DO NOT

you risk something to block as a survivor you risk nothing as a killer.

this guy waited 8 minutes, after 2/3 most players would assume a hostage game and DC.
Well like I said I wouldn't go this far.

I have bodyblocked the basement before but only when the person or peoples in the basement were on hooks. They were toxic so wanted them out of the game. I consider that fair.

I wouldn't bodyblock an unhooked person. Seems pointless. I can see your point about how elwere they to know the killer was waiting for NOED.

Really just shows how bad the community is these days.

You got a fellow survivor doing everything possible to get someone killed. (Not surprised one bit that it's a P3 Claudette with DS).

You got unhook animation spamming, the tbagging...

Then you've got the killer mori animation spamming, and finally you got the killer repeatedly slashing away at someone on the hook.

This is hands down the worst community I've ever seen. By a wide margin in fact.

I really think the developers need to see first hand how bad things can be. These aren't isolated incidents either. We all get these far more than we should.

When are they going to do something? What can they even do? One thing is for certain, it needs cleaning up.

The toxicity just keeps building and building and then you hear reports about people being ddos'd on the extreme end.

Im going full toxic mode now too. Just had a laggswitching SWF I was unable to hook. I wont do anything bannable, but I will try to suffer them as much as possible, really done now tbh

I had someone who switched at the last second to P3 Claudette with flashlight and burnt a coldwind offering.

By sheer luck I find them first. Down them, they disconnect immediately.

There's no doubt that if they made it out they would be tbagging me and telling me how EZ the game was.

The absolute state of the dbd community.
  • Yeah you just need to kill them all. I think you still get it for disconnects, but not if only 3 load in. Add ons and offerings don't affect it. Not sure about moris.

I got my achievements by using add-ons and map offerings.

Its probably just bugged. I've had some not work before. Its just DBD being DBD.

Also yeah gen rush is a thing right now because of all the toys survivors are getting. The best toolboxes and BNP etc. Its rare to get a game that doesnt have at least 1 BNP or instaheal or purple key in it right now. Sure killers can get moris but heres the thing, survivors get points for using their toys, i.e. doing gens and staying in the game longer via instaheals. Killerd get less points by using moris over 3 hooking. Killers also cant pull out OP add-ons mid game like survivors can via chests.

So yeah its a bit survivor sided at the moment but oh well who can say they're surprised?
  • I'd nerf his add ons. They feel like BS.
  • Clown with instadown bottles - Coldwind. Every single time. I can't use black wards with these anymore because I have to use map offerings now. 100% serious. I struggle to track people in the corn, especially when they're spinning around trying to avoid the bottles so yeah it's no fun.

Trapper - The Game. Great, the one map where traps are visible. Funny because if ever I face trapper its on macmillan or haddonfield, good maps for him.

Hag/spirit/huntress - Azarovs resting place. Not even joking, if I use a slow killer I'm 95% guarenteed to get this ######### oversized map. I have to go with 3 gen strat but that gets me accused of camping.

I agree with actually just nerfing the hell out of DS. I'm not so sure why this hasn't been done already. I hate to say it, but it might be a good idea to disable DS until a fix can be found for it. That perk should really be priority on the list of things that need balancing.

I completely agree. It needs to be disabled until tjey figure out a solution for it.

NOED in the short term just needs to be disabled on camping killers. If someone uses a weak killer like Wraith and they get looped for 5 gens let them have noed. It sucks but at least it adds some fear of the killer as there has been none all game.

However if someone just sits and watches people die knowing they can mop up the rest with NOED then screw them. If the killer stays within the proximity of hooked survivors for too long then it shouldn't activate. Likewise if they hook the same survivor 3 times in a row. Motivate bad killers to make an effort, then they get rewarded eith their precious NOED.
  • Balance the game? Are you kidding?

In this video true says it was the guy he "versed", so I'm assuming he meant he went against him as killer. True uses his own name on steam now so the guy would have no problem identifying him.

@Dreamnomad Yeah no doubt streamers get it worse but lets be honest we've all had it. This is why I think names should be hidden until the end because people carry grudges over the smallest things.

Hell I've had people follow me around all game trying to get me killed when they haven't had a grudge with me before. I guess its like team killing in other games, but in ranbow six for example they get auto-kicked and eventually auto-banned for it. With the nature of DBD its hard to do that since the game cant tell when they're failing skillchecks just to get people killed.

Right I understand if it's a guy he faced as killer. Then that guy is a scum and deserves to be banned. And I remember the 3 survivors that he faced as Nurse. But if it's a killer doing it that Tru3 doesn't remember, then there's a 99% chance he insulted them. Also saying someone is bad or saying a team is '######### and rubbish' is an insult it makes me feel bad for his teams.

I've never heard him say ######### or rubbish about his temamates. Just that sometimes stuff like "look at how slow gens are going" or when someone faild a skillcheck "you've killed me!"

Which we all say in the heat of the moment and if someone is going to get triggered by that then they are extremelt sensitive. If he was sat there shouting "you f***ing useless c**t" then I would agree with you.

But maybe it was nothing. Who knows. Like I said I've had it before from people I've never faced. There are a lot of ######### in the game.

But over time, as the temporary bans these kinds of people receive escalate and eventually become permanent, we hope to see less of it.

That's good to know. I imagine there must be thousands of reports though. I mean I dont mean to exagerrate but you can have someone in basement, other survivor loops you around  the area, end game you're told you're getting reported for camping. I know they get disregarded but it must clog up the system.

I have nvidia shaowplay on standby now. Only game I've ever had to do it with. Just for when people get to places on the map they shouldn't be able to.
  • Well....I know what perk I'm using for the rest of this event.
  • I like Freddy tho @Master ,also OP hes not getting buffed, hes getting reworked
Really hope so. Hybrid panda kept saying "buffed" earlier and it scared me.

Freddy is awful to go up against even if he is weak. Needs a full rework. A buff would just be awful.

I dunno OP is it bannable for Survivors to body block a hook?

    Pretty much.

I've bodyblocked the basement before when I have toxic teabaggers on the hook so nobody can get down to unhook, but I wouldn't bodyblock anyone down there who wasn't hooked not even if it was NOED.

Doesn't sound like a bannable thing though. It's scummy but its also "a LeGiT StrAtEgY".
  • I personally didn't even see that many people calling for it to be nerfed.

I've tried out distortion. It's pretty good. Tends to last a lot longer than I expected - by that I mean I thoight those tokens would run out fast but they last most of the game. Its nice to know what perk the killer has too, as in if they hook and you lose a stack you know its bbq, if you lose a token after a gen is done you know its bitter murmer etc

Happy with my current build though so havent got space for distortion.

As for BBQ. It seems about the same as before. You'd either see all auras or no auras. I dont think too many are using lockers from what I've seen. I should combine bbq with iron maiden to be sure. I never found bbq THAT useful though. Most killers are too slow to take advantage of it and their terror radius is too much of a heads up so by the time you get to their area they've urban evasioned away somewhere. I'm only taking it at the moment for the extra BP during the event.
  • Reshade is allowed 😉 and Nvidia freestyle is officially supported.

If it comes down to a sneaky claudette camping for hatch, I go for them and let the other person have it whether its david or meg etc
  • Everyone dc'ing on coldwind it seems.

If it comes up naturally I don't dc. The first offering or two I can roll with as well. If there's more than that in one night though THEN I dc. It's not fair to expect someone to spend most of their playtime on one set of maps.
  • Had a rank 20 and a rank 3. The rank 20 however had all the meta perks at level 3.

4 man swf that all switched to green toolboxes at the last second.

Yeah seems its not just killers that derank. People like this are only out to bully, and the devs dont do ######### to stop it because the fact is they couldn't care less. People like noob3 and ochido have popularised this game as a bully sim, and that's what sells it right now. Getting to be toxic.

It's hilarious though when you act toxic back and they scream and cry and throw tantrums. Hypocrites.
  • I don't like Plunderers as it always gives me maps. Would Ace in the hole be good for that build? Possible instaheals.

Also 4 fengs in a row.
