  • Ones I legitimately use are:

    Tony (Oni)

    Mr. YeeHaw (Deathslinger)

    Demilovatogorgon (Demogorgon)

    Miguel (Michael Myers)

    Hagatha (The Hag)

    Kevin Bacon (The Pig)

    El Doctore (Doctor)

    Martin Clunes (Clown)

    Anna Montana (Huntress)

I think that’s them all. Everybody else just gets called their normal name.

I did! I thought I was the only one. I’d love a Buffy Chapter like Stranger Things where we get 2 characters (Buffy and Willow or someone else) and probably Angel or Spike as the killer (with the latter as a legendary skin). Also imagine Faith as a legendary skin for Buffy!

I’ve seen a lot of people say they would love a vampire killer but I wonder what their power would be? That’s why I thought The Gentlemen could be better because there’s so much you could do with them.

(Plus think of all the awesome cosmetics. Cheerleader Buffy, Doublemeat Palace Buffy, stylish-yet-affordable boots Buffy.)

The possibilities with her cosmetics are literally endless. She had so many iconic looks over those 7 seasons. Imagine her Prophecy Girl dress and leather jacket combo.

  • They could either just release her as a solo survivor just like Ash, or my dream would be to have Buffy and Willow as survivors and The Gentlemen as the killer. They would fit into the game perfectly and be terrifying to face.

Thank you!! You're absolutely right. He's literally my favorite killer because he's so fun and because I played a lot of online shooter games before dbd, I got the hang of him super fast. Because of past games, my aim is amazing and it's so fun to go against toxic survivors because it's like, "oh? You're going to run at that pallet to try to stop and blind me? [Gunshot] no💕"

"Oh? You're going to start teabagging me? I'm just going to have to drag your ass back over here then"

I just love how most survivors perceive him to be weak. It makes my matches so funny when they all get cocky and just end up dying with zero gens done. Either people don’t face him enough to know how strong he can be or there’s a lot of baby slingers on PS4, because almost every one of my matches has survivors wanting to chase after me and it never ends well for them. He’s the only killer in the game where I feel 100% confident I can still destroy an entire 4-man squad. I let one of my friends shareplay some of my games and he was so shocked at the shots I could pull off. But just like you, it’s from all those FPS. He’s honestly a dream come true for me in this game.

For reference, I’m consistently a red ranks killer and 9/10 I’m against red rank survivors. For me, he’s extremely strong to play as.

You must have some weird matches because that 4% of the time I play against these two I get absolutely destroyed and so does everyone else in that match. They both are long-ranged killers so people are going to be more busy trying to juke his gun and her vomit. While they try to juke it, it makes it easier to get super close because they wasted so much time trying to avoid their long-ranged power so then they just get hit across the face.

Plus, even on pallets, I shoot the survivor on the other side because even if I can't hit them or if the chain breaks, it still adds major damage and they'll end up running away and getting caught.

Also a lot of survivors feel too safe just waiting in a pallet against Mr. YeeHaw and I’ve got plenty of downs by just dragging them out before they can even drop it. This is one of the main reasons I love playing as him, as he can deny pallets and loops which is where good survivors shine.

  • Mr. YeeHaw is my favourite killer in the game. For me, he’s the strongest in the game currently. I’ve played a lot of FPS over the years so I find getting quick scope shots with him really easy. I get quite a lot of messages from survivors actually praising how good my aim is, as I think a lot of people severely underestimate how good he can be in the right hands. This is proven by the fact injured survivors will still sit in the exit gate, not realising I can drag their ass straight back out.

He’s the most fun to play as and against. I just love him so much.

  • I was actually going to make a thread a while back with my idea for a Supernatural chapter but couldn’t be bothered creating it in the end lol. Here’s the artwork I was going to use...

I feel like Buffy's perks would be OP.

Maybe Xander as the survivor instead?

She’s gonna be the first survivor that’s able to Mori the killer. ;)

In all seriousness though, I actually posted my perk ideas for a Buffy chapter here before and they weren’t OP. They just fit in with her being resilient and wanting to help others.

  • I actually have. One I’ve had on more than one occasion is that I’m playing DBD with a friend but when the game starts I’m seeing everything from the survivors perspective so it no longer feels like I’m playing the game anymore.

Woo another Supernatural fan! Quite a few people have been requesting it, so I hope something comes of it eventually. Scarecrow would be a cool killer. And I love the idea of Buffy being added into the game too.

I love Supernatural! Sam and Dean would fit into this game perfectly. And you just know that Jared and Jensen would definitely be down to do some voice over work for their characters. I would definitely struggle with who I’d play as the most as I love them both. 😂

  • Supernatural: Sam and Dean Winchester as the survivors and either Wendigo, Scarecrow or Banshee as the killer.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Buffy Summers and Willow Rosenberg as the survivors and The Gentlemen as the killer.

Scream: Sidney Prescott as a survivor.

PH's P3 outfit is also really nice, turns him from a bright white, easy to spot "guy", to a blood drenched, harder to spot "monster". Granted all killers with a red stain are easy to spot regardless, but his P3 outfit makes him more intimidating in my book.

Definitely agree. I love going against a P3 PH as he just looks so intimidating.

I know Jill is the obvious pick, but I'll always say if Resident Evil gets into DBD, I want Leon first and foremost. He's the main character in what are arguably the 2 best games in the series and he always gets shafted in crossovers.

Also yeah Cheryl P3 is legit 10/10 no complaints from me

I would love Leon or Chris to be in this game. If a Resident Evil chapter was ever to happen they’d have to do something similar to Stranger Things and bring multiple survivors. With Legendary Skins being a thing now, the possibilities would be endless.

  • @KingFrost said:

Cheryl is the first character I've actually P3'd. Only character I'll probably ever do it for unless we get like Jill Valentine or someone else I really like that's probably unlikely. And in a little over a million bloodpoints, I will have all perks maxed on her.

Don’t play with my emotions like that. Can you imagine Jill MF Valentine in this game? That would be a dream come true. I’m still not over us getting Ghostface and no Sidney. She would fit in with the lore perfectly.

    Thank you.

Lol. The Hag just fires me up. I passionately hate how her power works and it bewilders me that she has been under radar for as long as she has.

Hag isn’t uncommon in my region on PS4.

And absolutely every single one plays like a scum bag. They’re always 100% entirely pointless matches. Once some one is on a hook, it doesn’t matter if there is BT or DS, there’s no point attempting a save. If I’m on the hook, there’s no point attempting to get away either. I just suicide. It’s proven time and time again that there is zero point in trying after being unhooked.

I’m on PS4 also and I face Hagatha a lot. So I’m assuming the guy that said she’s one of the most underused killers is playing on something else? Because I feel like I see her more than Billy. And this is whilst at rank 1. The only killer I’d say is virtually non-existent would be Clown. I almost never see him unless I’m the one playing as him.

She honestly has the potential to be such a good killer. But, like you said almost everybody that uses her plays like absolute scum. It’s the same with Pig, which also annoys me as she’s one of my favourites but I feel like almost every Pig player will tunnel you excessively once you’ve been trapped. It’s either get hooked until you die or wait until your head explodes. Such fun. Said no one.

walk around people? on the basement stairs? pretty hard actually.

also hard if the healthy survivor knows what he is doing, and the hurt one knows to not zigzag and just run ahead.

and if you're out the stairs... you are out. just don't run straight into her.

bubba was literally a camping god, so it makes sense. and PH could bypass BT and DS and other perks to help with this. so it also makes sense.

hag has a bunch of counterplay.

also, her name is Lisa, not Agatha... what's with the hagatha thing?

She’s called Hag so I call her Hagatha. Just like how I refer to Deathslinger as Mr. YeeHaw. There wasn’t really a story there.

I won’t bother replying to your other points as they’ve already been addressed multiple times. So feel free to read the rest of the thread.

No, sorry, you clearly not trying to see any of this from BOTH survivor side and killer side.

The way hags power works isn’t healthy for this game and needs to be reviewed.

Firstly let’s look at this from the killer side. Hag’s power can be completely neutered by one item that’s pretty abundant. And one perk in the entire game can also render Hag completely powerless. No one item, and no one perk should sway the odds so much that the killer is entirely powerless.

Flip the coin however and survivors that just happen to unfortunately not have flashlights, or Urban Evasion, are quite frankly completely screwed. If a Hag wants to play scummy, the survivors may as well just stand there and die. There’s simply ZERO counter to getting away from any hook, let alone safely out of the basement.

Oh wait... (sniggers hysterically and maniacally), they can crouch walk. What a joke. It’s 100% pointless even trying to do this because the minute she hears that unhook notification she starts heading back to a) make sure she is within teleport range and b) because every Hag knows it’s simply not possible for any survivor to get far enough away from a hook simply by crouching. So either way the survivor doing the “correct” thing is still down and back on the hook anyway.

Neither of these extremes are healthy for survivor or killer.

I hope Hag is next on the devs firing line. The power needs to be adjusted so that it cannot be neutered so completely that she simply has zero power when there are flashlights at play, likewise survivors need a healthier way to deal with her power so that they have SOME semblance of a chance to get away from the hook without any such counter being so strong that Hag has no power.

I agree with everything you said.

I play both sides and I don’t look at things from a particular clouded perspective. I actually defend Hag a lot as I also don’t find it fair that Freddy has snares that can’t be avoided but you can crouch over Hags traps or get rid of them completely.

She definitely needs a rework. She isn’t balanced in the slightest. She’s either incredibly weak in certain scenarios or far too strong. That isn’t how it should be.

Don't worry I've been told about the next tome...............................................................

Your correct, she is as fun to play as to face. What are you meant to do if she places 10 traps around the hook? How about the fact I can run a loop perfectly but my camera turns toward a trap which screws me over. It also gives survivors a reason to run urban evasion. I despise her very existence in this game.

The only thing I like is my cosmetic for her.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/VKHBG7DBWUG6/screenshot-20200704-142426-gallery.jpg

    That cosmetic is amazing.

I actually love playing as Hagatha. I just don’t like the people that tend to play as her because the majority of them are scummy.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

that's when the unhooker takes a hit for the team and you both run away as far as possible. by the time she catches up she won't be able to put anyone in the basement.

or you could wait until she's busy with another survivor to go for the save.

I've left hags basement several times, you can do it too.

It’s not hard to walk around the person who did the unhooking to down the person fresh off the hook. I’ve also survived against the basement Hag before, but they’re the ones who don’t intend to tunnel or it’s when I’ve been given BT or I’m using DS.

As DudeDelicious said, the fact that Pyramid Head and Bubba have been nerfed so that they can’t tunnel/camp as hard when Hagatha is literally a tunnellers dream makes zero sense.

It’s nothing to do with my skill level. As 9/10 I’m not the one in the basement. But the fact we have to lose somebody on their first hook because they didn’t feel like running DS is ridiculous. The only counter is for the person playing Hag to be a potato or for them not to tunnel in the first place. That’s it.

I like being altruistic and I don’t get any pleasure from working on gens whilst somebody is just left to rot in the basement because the Devs have given Hagatha so much power in the basement. It’s just stupid.

I’ve been saying this since day dot with the Hag, but I just get laughed at. Her proxy hook camping is just abhorrent, but worse still once someone is in the basement they’re dead, and anybody stupid enough to attempt rescuing them. Not everyone just happens to be carrying a flashlight. And crouching over and away from traps is a joke. Hag players know there’s not a chance in hell any survivor has time to get far enough away from the hook by the time they’re able to return to the hook.

Players complain about hook camping bubba, or recently Pyramid Heads tunnelling potential (before the changes), yet it blows my mind that Hag flies under the radar despite her having the tools to allow her to be scummier than any other killer.

The “just crouch” is not a healthy or well thought out counter to her power if a player doesn’t happen to have a flashlight.

I hate her. I just absolutely hate her.

I mean, sure, it is the Survivors fault for going down. And I also think that Basement Saves should be harder to do. But against a Hag, it is almost impossible, as long as she is not playing super-nice by not coming back.

So yeah, I agree that it should not be the death of that person. But on the other hand, I dont go for rescues against a Hag in the Basement.

It isn’t always the survivors fault, like I said, let’s not act like the hit boxes are accurate on this game. So many hits that clearly don’t connect on your screen somehow manage to down, so a lot of the time you going down isn’t your fault. But that’s not the point.

The fact you just said you don’t go to save in the basement when it’s a Hag is proving my point that there’s an issue. Not EVERY Hag does it, but I’d say it’s a bigger percentage that do. The fact you either need a flashlight or certain perks to be able to get somebody out of the basement against her makes zero sense to me. Name another killer where you need perks or an item to successfully get the save? Oh yeah, there isn’t one.

You don’t even need to get hooked near the basement either. You only have to watch the streamers who use Iron Grasp and Agitation on her.

I thought Survivors should go down eventually? So, its the game? There is not really anything where the Hag outplays a Survivor when it comes to Hook Rescues. Really, nothing.

He’s just being biased. He obviously abuses this mechanic and that’s why he’s ignoring FACTS. I play killer more than survivor, but I’m not going to lie and say her power in the basement is fair as it really isn’t. You shouldn’t just accept that if you’re hooked once in the basement, that’s game over. In what way does that make any sense? And we all know what the hit boxes are like. Sometimes going down isn’t a choice. 😂

The reason I dont address all your comments is because its silly. You dont need a perk to crouch, you dont need a perk to use a flashl;ight which can be found in any chest.

You are making excuses where I was trying to encourage you to play better instread you want to argue about Hag being OP.

LOL she cant do anything unless YOU trigger her trap, periodt.

Okay, this is my last response. I know I said that before but I mean it now. You aren’t reading anything I am saying. Who said you need a perk to crouch?! MY ISSUE IS WITH HOW LONG IT TAKES TO CROUCH BACK OUT OF THE BASEMENT WHILST THE HAG IS COMING STRAIGHT BACK.

You have 2 options. Crouch walk out and get downed again before you can make it up the stairs or run and trigger traps and then get downed as she teleports back.

But yeah you’re right, that’s being ‘out played’

    LMAO goodbye.

You should work for behaviour. Genuinely would like someone like you there to hopefully destroy her.

This might sound sarcastic I honestly swear it isn't.

I don’t actually mind facing the Hag, it’s literally just the basement scenario I find ridiculous. It takes too long to crawl out of there, it doesn’t matter if she has a slower speed, she can still get back in time. No other killer has that sort of basement power without having to stay down there.

  • @DrDeepwound said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1411469#Comment_1411469

Tell that to the Ace doing spins to trigger traps while Meg goes in through window. Sounds like you guys got outplayed, move on to next match

You’re obviously not reading what I’m writing, so this will be my last reply to you as I’m not having a back and forth with a brick wall.

The tactic your describing is one that works if you have the right perks. Yeah, somebody could trigger all the traps and distract the killer whilst somebody else goes down for the save but unless the person doing the unhooking has BT or the person on the hook has DS, they will just be instantly downed again and thrown back on the hook. That’s what my main post was talking about. I’m asking why you need perks to be able to counter her in the basement when literally no other killer has this problem. You shouldn’t have to run perks to be able to get out of the basement with a tunnelling Hag.

It’s nothing to do with being outplayed.

  • @DrDeepwound said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1411461#Comment_1411461

PLay around her traps then, its not the killers fault you guys expect to just run in and save without any cares. Traps can literally be seen and are countered in more than one way. If you are really a rank 1 killer you should know how to outplay Hag.

Did you not read anything I said? The problem isn’t playing around her traps. It’s easy getting into the basement. But how are you supposed to get back out once she’s heading back? The only way around her traps is to crouch over them or use a flashlight. There’s not enough time to crouch out and the last time I checked people don’t have a flashlight on them at all times.

  • @DrDeepwound said:

ah when they come for the least played killer, you know they got salty after a Hag just destroyed them in game./

Judging by your avatar I can smell the bias from here.

I wasn’t actually killed, but nice try. But one of the randoms on my team was. Nobody triggered any traps going to rescue the guy, but the Hag would come straight back so the only option was to sit in the basement or run and trigger every trap. And they didn’t have DS, so she just kept repeating this process until they died. I actually see the Hag a lot on console so I don’t know what you mean about her being the least played killer.

If you think that’s fair that once somebody is trapped in the basement they need perks to be able to escape against a tunnelling Hag, well I guess that says more about you than me. And don’t try the whole “play killer” argument as I’m a rank 1 killer. I just don’t see how that gameplay is fun for either side or fair.

  • If only they could remove him from the game completely.

  • Honestly, sometimes you just need to take a break from certain games.

I took about a 4 month break from Dead By Daylight as I found myself in a place where I just wasn't having fun. But, I have been playing again and I'm really enjoying myself and looking forward to the next chapter.

    You’re not wrong.

It’s also been this way since it first came out. I know it isn’t a huge deal, but it’s still messy to have broken cosmetics in the game after so long.

  • I do like the way the current DS operates but it definitely needs some tweaks. It’s supposed to be an anti-tunnelling perk, but so many people abuse it. If you’re fully healed or working on a generator it shouldn’t stay active as you’re clearly not being tunnelled anymore.

If you're playing against survivors who don't even know that they have to blind you from the front, then you shouldn't worry about them anyways because they're low rank survivors and easy to win. I'm talking about higher rank survivors, where toxicity is rampant and flashlight click spam is very common.

Let me ask you a question since you seem to not care. Do you believe the devs should do everything they can to discourage toxicity?

I’m a rank 1 survivor. So I also play with high rank survivors. Believe it or not, but not everybody is a flashlight God. I also see you chose to ignore everything else I said because you also realise there’s no reason for you to be so upset over the clicking sound from a flashlight. Play something else.

  • @Orion said:

If survivors clearly signal their unconditional surrender, I might farm with them if those particular individuals weren't toxic pieces of #########. It depends on my mood. Sometimes I just don't feel like farming and kill them all so we can move on to (hopefully) a better trial.

Oh, if they were being toxic, I would show no mercy. This was too early in the game for me to see what type of players they were. It’s just stupid that if I did choose to kill them all, I am being punished for somebody else disconnecting. I think if somebody DC’s from a match, you shouldn’t be able to de-pip.

  • @jebbush said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1332427#Comment_1332427

It's a BM tool. You can assign a macro to it. It shouldn't exist, period. I have never been blinded or blinded a killer by a flashlight by aiming it at the back of their head. In my 2000+ hours of experience in this game, I have never seen that. And even if that were true, hearing the flashlight click wouldn't make a difference anyway. If the survivor timed it right, you will just be instantly blinded as soon as the survivor pickup animation is complete. Your argument is simply invalid.

I've already addressed the locker point. Players can safely spam flashlight clicks, not so much with lockers. And if they are spamming with lockers, you should be happy because it means they are wasting time rather than repairing gens. And just because trolls always exist doesn't mean Behavior should cater to those trolls by leaving in tools that trolls constantly exploit. Some games are much more toxic than others. Go play a game like Deep Rock Galactic, there are practically 0 trolls in that game. But in this game it is infested with trolls. Because the devs leave tools for trolls to abuse, thus creating an environment where trolls flourish. There is no reason for the flashlight clicking sound to exist.

What are you talking about? You can even read the replies to this thread as somebody else has even said they have also had survivors try to blind them from behind. So, no, it isn’t something I’m making up. I’m not interested in how long you’ve played this game for, there’s plenty of people that find flashlights and have no idea what you do with them. Also, I wouldn’t be instantly blinded if I’m being hit in THE BACK OF MY HEAD. It does nothing, except alert me of somebody else’s presence behind me. Which then, after hooking let’s me know where to find somebody else.

Once again, if a flashlight clicking offends you so much. Simply play something else. It really shouldn’t be getting to you this much. It does nothing to alter your gameplay in any way.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I do ignore it. This thread is for the devs. The devs should be clamping down on toxicity, not enabling it.

But how does the sound of a flashlight annoy you that much? If it’s really effecting your gaming experience that much then maybe you should think about stepping away for awhile.

I saw your reply to me that was deleted so I’ll respond now. You don’t always see the flashlight as some people seem to think aiming at the back of your head can blind you and that doesn’t always show you the beam of light. So I only know they are behind me because of the clicking noise.

My point still stands that hearing the constant explosions are more distracting and annoying than the clicking noise. Trolls will always exist on online games. You either have to put up with it or don’t play games online anymore. There will always be something new to be found that can be deemed as ‘toxic’ and that will never change when you’re playing with real people.

  • Well, you’re wrong. Because if somebody tries to flashlight save from an angle you can’t actually see them from, it can let you know that they are there. The flashlight isn’t the problem, it’s the person using it.

What’s stopping them from constantly jumping in and out of lockers? It will cause the same problem and let’s be real, the loud noise indicator going off every second is more annoying and distracting than a click.

Same as I said above, adding an homosexual character is not that simple because of the lack of acceptance in many parts of the world, Its not as simple as saying "this character is gay", that could bring a lot of problems.

If you have a problem with a gay character being in the game, simply don’t play. And if you’re too dim witted to realise that’s a choice you can make, well that’s a you problem.

That was a generalised ‘you’ by the way. I’m not aiming that statement at you specifically, unless it applies.

And even if they didn't exist, games feature ######### that doesn't exist all the time. For example, an ancient evil being that kidnaps people and forces them to play a game of life and death for eternity while it slowly feeds on their souls. That example just popped right into my head, dunno which game that's from.

Again, that says more about how people lack any common sense. They are completely happy playing a game about murdering people in a realm unlike anything known to man. But adding gay people into the mix? Step too far.

I have never and will never understand how somebody’s sexuality or skin colour can have such a deep impact on somebody else’s life. Too many people are just living lives consumed by hatred and can you really call that living? They don’t even make me mad anymore. I just pity them.

Eh, I am still not sure, again, that will be up to the devs and art team, sooner or later that kind of things becomes a political statement and I really dont want none of that in one of my favorite games.

Somebody’s sexuality or race isn’t a political statement. It’s real life. The fact people focus so much on that part says more about them. In David’s backstory we learn that he is from Manchester. Why would it be an issue if in somebody else’s backstory we learn that their partner is of the same sex? It’s not forcing any agenda. That’s honestly just such a ridiculous thing to say. Gay people aren’t myths. They do exist. Why SHOULDN’T they be in video games?

  • I mean, I do the same as most people that run Mori’s use them in such an annoying way. Why bother loading into a match where your teammates are going to get insta-downed from the hook and killed?

Sure, not every person using a Mori plays this way, but so many do that it’s not worth the risk.

I also dodge lobbies with keys in them, as I just don’t find those fun matches to be in.

So if I am getting you right, you want those cosmetics so that the people that target players wearing those cosmetics get banned?

Thats a horrible idea, a salty survivor can wear those cosmetics and report the killer for killing him with the excuse that he targeted him for wearing that attire.

You’ve misunderstood what they were saying.

They want those cosmetics in the game because the bigots will get vocal about it on social media etc... people obviously won’t be banned for killing anybody wearing those cosmetics. What kind of logic is that? The thing with bigots is that they can’t resist letting other people know that they’re a bigot. So having cosmetics in the game that are showing support to BLM and the LGBT community would bring out people’s true colours. Which would lead to the bigoted players being exposed and therefore being banned from the game.

  • Imagine still being racist and homophobic in 2020. So embarrassing. If you are a bigot, go and play something else. The people behind this game have shown time and again that they are inclusive of everyone.

If that upsets you, go and support something else. It’s really not that difficult. It always baffles my mind how much scum we have living in this world.

Calm Spirit doesn't completely counter docs powers. Doc can still shock the survivor to make them not be able to vault windows and drop pallets.

No Mither would basically completely counter Oni if this would happen. Imagine survivors all went in using No Mither and they ended up facing an Oni. He would have nothing.

That’s only in chase. Most Doctors use his power to locate survivors which Calm Spirit counters.

And like it’s already been said in this thread, it’s extremely rare for you to encounter one person using No Mither, let alone an entire team. And also, how is going against a team of one-hit downs in any way a handicap to Oni? It’ll be easier for him to win. It’s less work.
