Yeah, No Mither should not generate Blood Orbs. A Survivor Team already has a handicap when there is one (or multiple) No Mither-players in it. And Oni will get his power, eventually, since the Survivors who dont have No MIther will still generate Blood Orbs.
Like you said, the only exception is a team full of No MIthers, but this is very rare (like, how often does that happen? Once every 10k games? If at all?) and Oni gets an advantage of it.
I mean, there should still Blood Orbs spawn when he hooks someone. So he will get to use his power, but rarely during No Mither-games.
Exactly. And even if that does happen, it can happen now with Doctor. What’s stopping an entire SWF all using Calm Spirit and if he isn’t running any add-ons that show your aura, he’s screwed. It just doesn’t sit right with me that Oni gets a free pass. I like using No Mither a lot, but it’s so annoying when you load in with blood orbs flying about. It’s completely goes against what the perk is supposed to do.

Not just legion, against all killers splitting up is best. Ideally 3 survivors would finish 3 gens whole the fourth gets chased initially. Stacking on a gen makes it take a few seconds longer, and more importantly when the killer shows up that’s two people that have to get off the gen at least temporarily
I agree, but it’s definitely most viable against Legion as it’s a direct counter to their power.
-
She’s one of my favourite killers to play as but most people that use her are so scummy. Once you’re trapped, it’s game over.
-
In all seriousness though, you’re playing as Legion. Splitting up is the best strategy whilst going against them. Doesn’t help that one of their perks is Discordance, so I’m always wary of that.
-
The most disturbing thing about this photo is the fact you’re not using PGTW.
-
Probably when I faced a Trapper using Dark Devotion. I had no idea he was using it so didn’t see the point in looking around whilst I was on a generator. He snuck behind me and grabbed me off and it made me jump so bad.
-
It isn’t bad it’s just unreliable. I’ve been running it recently with We’ll Make It and it has been fun. It’s nice just sitting on a generator and passively healing.

You're sacrificing two perk slots for a single use, I honestly don't think it's worth it.
Each to their own, but I like that combo together. As it helps me and the team as I can heal other people faster too.

The issue with self care is how long it takes. When healing was 12 seconds and self care 24, it was arguably the second best perk in the game (hi old ds). Now healing is 16, and sloppy exists, that time goes from 24 to 32 (40 with sloppy), and it's just so inefficient. For clarification that is literally half of a generator you could complete.
You may not get to use inner strength but having a chance at an 8 second heal while denying NED is much better than wasting 32 seconds to heal yourself.
If it bothers you being injured and you don't want to rely on others, use medkits. A brown medkit with a yellow +12 charges addon and botany can (I believe) make 2 full heals and have some left over. Even if you don't want to use add-ons, brown medkits have enough for one full heal at double the speed of self care.
That’s why I said to pair it with Botany Knowledge as it can be a good counter to SB. In my experience, when I bring in a Medkit the killer brings in Franklin’s so it just feels pointless.
At the end of the day, people are free to play with whichever perks they want and I know from experience that Self-Care has been able to carry my team to victory before.
The problem isn’t with the perk, it’s with how people use it. I always prioritise doing a generator over healing myself, but there are plenty of times when I need to be healed and SC is the only viable option.

I wish my teammates would listen and just use inner strength or bond instead :(
I would gladly buy everyone I know the ST dlc just so they stop with the damn self caring. Until I know too many people, in which case don't quote me on this.
To be fair though, Self-Care can still be useful, especially when combined with Botany Knowledge.
Inner Strength is great, but you may only get one chance to use it, depending on how good your team are at cleansing totems. I also run Bond a lot and I can’t even count how many times a survivor has failed a skill check when healing me, only to then run off.
I don’t like having to rely on other people when for the most part, people are gigantic let downs. So I can see why so many people still use Self-Care. The problem isn’t the perk, it’s the way people choose to use it.
I personally wouldn’t sit in the corner of the map healing whilst somebody needs saving from the hook and other people are being chased. As I’d combine it with Iron Will so I can still sneak in. But there’s plenty of moments where you need to be able to take a hit and if you’re entire team are being slugged and you’re injured. You’re screwed.
Like every perk, it has its uses. I don’t use it a lot, in fact I rarely do. But I have a lot of matches where I wish I was running it as it could have turned certain situations completely on their head.
-
David, Jake & Claudette.
David would be the muscle and you know you could rely on him for trying to keep everybody safe.
Jake knows the land well, he’s an outdoors man so he’ll be able to help us when we need to hide and find safe places to lay low.
Claudette can use her extensive knowledge of botany to help mend any wounds we may get.

I was looking at actually getting the Laurie cosmetic, but then there were reports of glitches with the head, so I stayed away.
The only glitch I’ve seen, which isn’t with the head itself but with her body, is if you try to use the P2 body and the new head, the blood has a distinctive cut off line which looks really bad.
I just want them to either use this head for her P3 or tweak the current one as it just looks nothing like how her hair should look.
This is the body issue I was referring to...

Being too altruistic i find, screws over alot of survivor teams. Seen it with green, purple and red ranks. Be it swarming the hook or gathering up when the killer is legion. That or body blocking, for a guy that got down right next to a hook. Leading to them all being injured or simply trading one hook for two.
It happens so much.
I find a lot of games against SWF ends with them all slugged on the ground, because for some reason running at the killer whilst you’re injured seems to be the better play than going off and healing / regrouping. I actually find those matches boring as it’s like they are purposely making it easy for you, just flocking around the hook injured.

Congratulations you know how to quote.
My comment still stands. They are being updated so that they will look better than they currently do. What you posted was a complete facial rework of survivors to the point they look nothing like they did before. I can’t see it being that extreme.
When FT13 did the same thing the counsellors still looked exactly the same, their models were just rendered better.

okay misreaded it. but still, survivors can make 6 mistakes during the game, before they die. why do they need all this bs. a killer gets punished for every single mistake he makes. this should be the case for survivors too.
I completely agree with that and I’ve said before that it’s ridiculous how many second chance perks survivors have. NOED isn’t a second chance perk, because it can be denied if survivors just cleanse totems. The game would feel a lot better if perks like DH, DS and Unbreakable didn’t exist, but sadly they are here and we just have to learn to play around them. Which is what I’ve done.

well maybe its a predictable and boring response, but its the truth. ppl in red ranks know how to abuse those things and if you dont play the majority of the time against those people you cant judge if its okay or not. because you muiss the expirience. dont wanted to disrespect you or something like that.
bu its a sad truth that the devs dont balance for redranks
Well I’ve already stated to you that I’m currently a rank 1 survivor AND killer. The problem isn’t with the rank, it’s with the people playing killer. DS isn’t a problem for me and I face it in every single game and I’m sure a lot of other killers aren’t bothered by it either.
-
I would have crashed my game too. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
One thing I’m noticing more frequently on PS4 is people dressing in default clothing to probably give off the illusion they’re a new player but they will be in the red ranks. I don’t see the point in this as people don’t tend to dodge lobbies with P3 people. It’s mostly lobbies full of flashlights and keys.

Personally, if I know someone has DS, I'll just pick them up to give them a second chance. But that's basically it, I usually never let DS proc in my games because it's a waste of a perk slot other than the 60 seconds of immunity.
I don’t use it as a survivor because like you said, it’s a waste of a perk slot. I’m only hit with it as a killer when I want to be hit with it (such as pulling somebody out of a locker early in a game to make them waste it) but other than that, it doesn’t really bother me at all.
It’s mostly the potatoes that go into games completely armed with every single second chance perk because they feel like they need them. Recently I got a 3K and the girl that escaped wasn’t running a single perk. She escaped because she was actually good at being evasive. I’m not sure about everybody else but I find when I go against an entire team of rank 1’s they seem to give up the game a lot by being too altruistic. They spend most of the game chasing after you chasing their friends than they do working on generators. Which is great for me. Keep up the good work.
-
@kill_bill said:

looks like you never played in red ranks. ds is never useless, because you can go to lockers or repair gens to force the grab or be left alone. so even if u never use it its still a 2nd chance you get. yeah dead hard in te open is useless. but i can give u the distance to get to a palet/window or allows u an extra loop.. bt is also goodagainst ghosti because its so easy to reveal him
You’re right. I’m not currently rank 1 in both survivor and killer. Such a predictable and boring response to say to somebody when they don’t agree. If people jump into a locker, I just eat the DS and then they will be tunnelled after their next hook. Simple. Sat on a gen? I will down and leave them on the ground. DS isn’t as much of a problem as people seem to think. Almost every survivor I face in Rank 1 have it and I’m rarely struck with it and this will be the same for most killers that know the basics of the game.
-
I’m buying it.
Both Pyramid Head and Cheryl look great to me. Everybody has a personal preference and I think Pyramid Head is going to fit into my play style perfectly. I know exactly how I’m going to play him and he’s going to be a beast.
-
I don’t really see the issue.
4 DS’s that can be prevented from ever being used. Dead Hard, which once you know somebody has is easy to bait out and Borrowed Time which can be rendered useless by Ghostface if you just go into stalk before they get the save.
The only thing I’m not liking the look of, is your build as it’s so different to what I’d use on him. But each to their own. 😂
-
It’s a great perk but you are still able to sneak attack people. It tells the survivor you’re looking at them, but it doesn’t let them know what direction you’re coming from. I’ve found plenty of people hiding with their back towards me thinking I was coming from the opposite direction and like others have said, when you know somebody has it, you can start walking sideways / backwards towards areas you think they are in.
I mostly play as Ghostface or Michael and I can encounter SC a lot and I’d say that 9/10 I didn’t even notice a difference.
-
Buffy and Supernatural are truly the only licenses I would kill for.
-
I’m currently alternating between Ghostface and Michael and I’m doing perfectly fine in red ranks, but those killers suit my play style the best.

If the killer isn't actively chasing someone and they're approaching you it's a pretty safe bet they're coming for you. Spine Chill is useless in that regard because, as mentioned, it can easily be countered and doesn't provide any useful information other than "Killer is nearby". Terror Radius does that too.
But unless they’re the obsession, it’s not always easy to tell if somebody is being chased. Also with Spine Chill, it’s the fact it completely counters stealth killers. Ghostface and Wraith etc will never be able to gen grab you because you’ll know exactly when they’re heading towards you. Unless they moonwalk, which very few killers do.
I suppose it’s each to their own. I just personally don’t think Premonition has anything useful going for it. Which is why so many lobbies are now full of players using Spine Chill. It’s the fact it has no cool down that makes it so viable as you constantly know if the killer is still coming after you during a chase. As you can sometimes still hear the terror radius but you don’t realise they’ve actually gone off into a different direction.
Also to add, all the terror radius does is let you know the killer is in your area. That means nothing. Whereas Spine Chill will also let you know if the killer is looking at you and if it stays continuously lit up, it’s obvious they’re coming at you. It’s honestly just a God tier perk. I hate not using it now.
-
@Orion said:
Personally, I find it more useful to know where the killer is coming from so I can leave in the other direction (assuming there are tall LOS blockers around me) than to know if the killer is looking in my general direction (which could just be the result of a chase and is easily avoidable) while also triggering more skill checks (thereby making it more dangerous to leave a generator).
But you could be looking at them whilst they’re walking away from you. When Premonition lights up, all it tells you is the direction the killer is in. Not whether you should think about leaving or not. Spine Chill let’s you know for certain that they’re heading straight towards your direction.
-
@Litany said:
Maybe to synergize together? Spine Chill goes off, you look around, now you know exactly where the killer is coming from? No one wants to use two perk slots for such a thing, though.
I suppose you could use them together, but it just hardly feels worth it. Spine Chill can give you enough information as it is, especially when you’re in areas where you know exactly the direction the killer has to come from to get to you. As it stands, Premonition just feels like a perk that isn’t needed.
-
It was implemented into the game with good reason. There’s no reason a survivor should be able to continuously vault over the same window.

I agree with you on Nea, it is so annoying seeing a Nea in game, t bagging at pallets and trying to flashlight save. Then that Nea proves to be such a phony, they go down easily.
Obviously they’re all just stereotypes as not every player plays like the way I described. But I see so many Nea players who think they are the next No0b3 and it’s so embarrassing. I’ll never understand the concept of chasing the killer around and not doing a single objective. Maybe play a different game? Haha.
-
Megs have a bad rep for being awful teammates and just plain potatoes, which is a shame as I am a Meg main mostly and I am nothing like the typical Meg player.
Claudette’s are either super toxic and love chasing the killer around with a flashlight instead of doing anything useful for the rest of the team OR they travel around the map with Urban Evasion and wait for generators to be complete or the hatch to spawn.
Steve, David and Ace players are normally extremely cocky and love trying to do anything they can to make the killer have a terrible gaming experience. Again, this is a shame as I play all of those characters and I’m not like that. But I feel like I get tunnelled a lot as those characters because of how most people play them. They definitely give most killers PTSD.
Most Nea’s try their hardest to be No0b3 and fail miserably.
Dwight is either a complete troll and will do stupid stuff like hiding in the basement to just teabag whilst you’re on the hook or they will be the first player found and killed. I feel like he attracts very noobish players.
Freddy will teleport back to your hook to down you straight away. Tunnelling is his favourite hobby.
Wraith will remain cloaked whilst somebody gets saved so he can down them instantly. His favourite place to hang around is by the hook.
Once you’re trapped by the Pig it’s game over as she will follow you to every box to make sure you don’t get to remove it. You will either die by hook or your head will explode.

Supernatural would be cool, who do you think for killer? Yellow eyed demon?
I think they should use the Scarecrow from S1. A Scarecrow killer is something I’ve wanted in this game for so long and since we’ll never get a Jeepers Creepers chapter, this would be the next best thing.
-
Supernatural would be such a great fit for this game. Plus, having Sam and Dean would bring a lot of new fans to it. The Supernatural fandom is huge. I really want to play as Sam and Dean. They would instantly become my favourite survivors.
Work your magic Devs. 🤞🏻
-
It is doable as I’ve done it before. But it was on The Game map and I feel like that map has way too many ways for a survivor to duke a killer, plus it helped that the rest of my team rushed the gens whilst I got chased. I’d say the entire chase lasted for around 7 minutes and then I headed straight towards the exit gate (with the killer behind me) and escaped without being hit. I’m not sure why some killers player like this, sometimes you need to drop the chase. It was fun though as I was doing it as Jeff and it just felt abnormal using him to be the duker. 😂
-
Survivor is, has and probably will always be easier than killer. Killer feels extremely perk dependent, survivor doesn’t. You could easily escape and still get a lot of BP with zero perks or items. And although it’s still possible to win a perk-less killer game, it’s nowhere near as easy.
-
I highly doubt it as it’s copyrighted material. Most companies have strict rules when it comes to people making profit off of their properties.

Like...the ######### just happened?! 🤣

Yeah, TrU does try to find a lot of excuses for having been outplayed, and always suspects everything of being a stream snipe. It gets a little old.
I've found that Monto also exhibits some of the irritating qualities I described above, but he at least has a jovial and self-deprecating personality.
I don't want to turn this into a complaint thread about streamers, though. There are lots of good ones out there! I also follow Zubat, Hexy, and Geef. They're all pretty cool.
Well thanks to you I just found out about Umbra and I am already in shock at how good she is with Huntress. I’ll have to check out some more of her content. Thanks for mentioning her.
And yeah, I agree about not turning this into a complaint thread. I can understand why people love TrU, he’s just not for me and that’s okay. :)

I really like PainReliever's YouTube content, because it is clear that he thinks a lot about the game mechanics, and how everything in DBD works. Scott Jund is right up there too, for the same reasons. And @SpaceCoconut is quickly getting up there with them.
My favorite Twitch streamer would have to be Umbra, because she is down-to-earth and, for lack of a better word, normal (plus she's arguably the best Huntress player in the world).
I know guys like Otzdarva and TrU3Ta1ent are good players, and Otz in particular has lots of good YouTube content. But "streamer life" streamers who put on obnoxious heightened versions of themselves, and do awkward close-ups to mug for the camera, and overreact to everything... those people drive me nuts. I can't watch them for very long, because they are always going out of their way to be "on," and don't come across as their genuine selves. That is way more important to me than how good they are at the game.
(EDIT: Hey, post number 2,000! Go me. I should probably go do something productive instead of hanging out here all day.)
I used to watch TrU but I couldn’t stand how often he made excuses. Whenever he was being outplayed it was because he was against a SWF, which he didn’t know for certain. Or he’d scream “DEAD ‘ARRRRD” when the player clearly didn’t use it. I just stopped having fun whilst watching him play. Then I discovered Monto and I found that he had the ability to laugh at himself more, which is a much better quality to me.
-
I definitely don’t hate Claudette, as I actually play her a lot myself. What I don’t like, are the typical Blendette’s that wear the dark clothing and only travel around the map with Urban Evasion. The ones that spend more time hiding in a bush than doing gens or going for unhooks. These are the ones that give the rest of the Claudette’s a bad name and unfortunately they’re the ones I encounter the most.
I don’t think the problem has ever been with the character, it’s to do more with the type of players that gravitate towards her. You can be stealthy with a lot of characters, especially in their darkened P3 skins, but it always seems to be the Blendette’s that play really selfishly. From my experience anyway.

Actually I think I changed Thrilling Tremors to Surveillance in order to have more tracking.
Surveillance is such a great perk and I rarely see it being used. I used to be obsessed with A Nurse’s Calling but I prefer stuff that gives me information about generators now. PGTW, Surveillance and Discordance are my most used perks. And depending on the killer I either pair these with M&A, Thrilling Tremors, Surge or Corrupt Intervention.
-
I like this idea. Like other people have already said, some survivors wear the exact same cosmetic so unless one is the obsession it’s hard to tell who you’re chasing. I’ve been hit by DS because of this, as I thought I was chasing somebody else.
-
@Dr_Loomis said:
No particular Survivor, but I am currently using Leatherface the most on the killer side.
I like just sawing through pallets and his multiple instadown attack is a real threat. I use BBQ, Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes The Weasel and Thrilling Tremors.
I’ve been back in a Bubba bubble myself recently. Discordance works great on him too as you know you’re heading into an area with at least two potential chainsaw downs.
-
I’m not sure of the likelihood but it would be great if we could get some new cosmetics and a proper map for him. I would kill for the Pretty Woman outfit to be added into the game. That would legit be terrifying to go against.
