Yeah the esport peen is real here I am so bored facing the same handful of perks every game.
Right - fun can be it's own reward but there's so much emphasis on besting the opposition (survivor over killer or killer over survivor), and rank value that things that might be fun or interesting don't matter to many. but that's all games where there is room for competition.
Same thing in any game - the internet quickly determines what's the "best" setup and woe be unto he who deviates from it. Of course, it's not necessarily the best, hence we call it 'meta'.
Still in all, there are certain perks that I feel I must use to do well and others that seem to contribute almost nothing game after game and that's hard to ignore...
All that being said, it's a brilliant game and has kept me very engaged for months now. Kudos to everyone who actually WORKS on this for all of us to have whatever version of fun or domination we want.
I imagine making games is hard... you might say DEAD HARD.

Maybe to synergize together? Spine Chill goes off, you look around, now you know exactly where the killer is coming from? No one wants to use two perk slots for such a thing, though.

As someone who plays both sides, I am definitely frustrated when I get camped. It's not fun for the survivor and effectively makes you a loser.
I've come to the conclusion that despite my frustration, that's just tough. If I'm running killer and trying to learn nurse and get bullied by survivors, that's also tough.
OP, take your lumps and work around it. Sometimes, you will lose. Period. If anything, the camping killers don't see the advantage of not camping. I DO sometimes camp for the reasons listed above. And I have been able to turn 0k into 4k at the last generator because of altruism + camping....
As a killer, I hate flashlights and keys. I have to live with them, it's part of the competition of a game.
I personally want to excel and win but not at the cost of reducing the challenge to the point that it's too easy. You gotta lose sometimes.

The skulls are just the DBD loading sign.
Each skull "bleeds" down the bar and face a different way.
THIS. Look at the right sidebar and you will see the second skull more obviously. These are just the skulls from the 'hash mark' five line logo that you see in the loading screen. Everyone's 'black goo' and skull theories are not on the mark at all.

I agree with the person who said the killer is in the power position. I actually play both killer and survivor (poorly).
I look at the bloodlust mechanic not as a reward to the killer but a punishment to the survivor for not losing the killer quickly - you should be scared and trying to avoid the killer at all costs, not playing bugs bunny. If I'm chasing someone for too long, I just leave them as I assume they know they can keep away and the other survivors are working on objectives while I'm chasing for minutes at a time.

A lot of people are saying that the skull looks like it's oozing some sort of liquid like blood. But to me it doesn't look like a liquid, looks kinda like a black fabric or plastic or something. Still have no idea what it could be though
It's the left end of the logo.

Probably just a generic skull. :/
Agreed; it's just the skull on the left from the hashmarks/load screen logo with the four skulls.
