Why is Self-Care being nerfed to 35%, a perk that can only be used by one survivor, when COH is 50% for every survivor?? Seems like an awful change
Like COH should've been reduced if anything
-
Im gonna post what someone else said in another post
Old Dead Hard: 0.5 second window
New Dead Hard: 1 second window
Old Dead Hard: 6m travel distance
New Dead Hard: 12m travel distance
Old Dead Hard: Straight-line movement that could run into walls or corners if not aimed correctly
New Dead Hard: Full control over your character's movements
Old Dead Hard: Able to make it to pallets but prevented you from vaulting
New Dead Hard: Able to make it to pallets AND vaults
Old Dead Hard: Movement only
New Dead Hard: Free range of motion under the invulnerable status, including uninterruptable unhooking
-
Yes lets nerf an already bad killer
-
I just think "second chance" perks all around for Killer (NOED) and Survivor (Dead Hard) are poor game design and just shouldn't exist
The killer lost at the end of the match if it got to that point, and the Survivor lost the Mind Game
-
Sprint Burst isn't a third health state for a survivor that got outplayed
-
It would be interesting to see the data of swf vs solo q escape rates because im assuming a lot of the lower killer rates are because of swf
-
Its one of those perks that is bad game design. I say this because it either needs to mute sounds 100% or it is a pointless perk
-
Not sure why they didnt just make it so that if a killer is in the undectable status effect it wont work

"at the end of the match, there’s often nothing the Killer can do to prevent a Survivor with Decisive Strike from escaping."
this statement above is from the devs and the direct reason for the change, sooo its a great change actually
We were more referring to the stun duration decreasing from 5 to 3 seconds, DS should absolutely deactivate when opening the gates and that makes sense
-
Never even heard of Harry Warden before this post, but absolutely knew who Pinhead was pre DBD
-
Nah you should still have barely enough time to still take the hit and pull the survivor off the hook
-
Jolt because it doesn't have a cooldown anymore
-
Yeah this change seems really weird and bad
-
I agree that Survivors were hit much harder overall, however I think Dead Hard actually got BUFFED
-
It's an on command borrowed time with a speed burst, obviously we won't know until the PTB comes out, but I would GUESS that this wasn't really a nerf and more so a BUFF.
-
The real question is: has anyone managed to get all four survivors to DC? Happened to me once when I was legion, and I believe the survivors were swf
-
I rarely run hex perks as I don't like the idea of a perk being controlled by survivor actions.
-
I'd love nothing more than for old freddy to come back

I would think so, too but they triggered one in the same chase vaulting through a window. I guess I could have completely missed them turning over seconds into the chase but not super likely.
So then they clearly feel asleep mid chase lol, honestly I think you are grasping at straws here
-
Were they awake? If survivors are awake freddy snares dont affect them
-
I play on PC and i cant imagine the struggle of trying to look behind you in chase with the horrible sensitivity options of a controller
-
Gaming Laptops are always going to be handicapped by terrible heat dissipation. I'd suggest getting a cooling pad
-
Id assume we would start seeing stuff tomorrow as it will be exactly one week before the PTB
-
Anytime i boot up the game I just assume its gonna be a sweatfest, going in expecting it not to be is just dumb its DBD this is the 2nd most toxic gaming community aside from LoL

I just created account cause for some reason BHVR doesn't look at steam discussion (there is a chaos over there we already lost 3 man)
BHVR doesnt run the steam forums
-
Yes its annoying, best tip is to play on rank reset days for best case scenario
-
Ummm, you are a couple years late to the party lol
-
Dredge is fine as is
Of all the killers to complain about right now you choose a well balanced killer when Nurse with bugged range addons still exists
-
So the survivors get a guaranteed ability everytime they are injured basekit, while the killer gets an ability that's completely RNG.
I MEAN IT IS CONTROVERSIAL
lol
-
Hey guys I know nothing about what changes will be coming to the game with the perks, but let me make a hot take post
-
So you are upset that being able to loop a killer is a thing?
-
At this point I would legitimately be SHOCKED if the perk wasn't completely reworked with a different ability
-
I always look forward to a new Sluzzy post so i dont have a problem with the us vs them mentality
-
Yes only because of the event and the extra bps you will get
-
So you are saying Nurse is balanced because some people are bad with her?? What lol
-
I think SB is fine compared to Dead Hard
-
Booping a piggy requires a killer to actually choose to play as pig
-
It would be funny if dead hard worked opposite the way it does now. You can only use it while healthy, and using it causes you to take one health state of damage.

I wouldn't say getting healed and opening chests or exit gates is doing nothing. Not to mention that many DS users will bait the killer on purpose (by entering lockers for example) to get value out of it. 60s is a lot, a lot of things can happen in that amount of time. Anybody seriously thinking that DS only works as an anti-tunneling tool is either a liar or an idiot.
Maybe so, but that's 60 seconds not on a gen
-
Many survivors who relied on dead hard suddenly realize they are much worse than they thought they were
-
Why do you even have to select the challenge to participate in the "community" event

A ton of survivor perks that deny info to the killer (Distortion, Sole Survivor, Off the Record, Lightweight, Iron Will, Calm Spirit, & Lucky Break) are getting attention, which suggests pretty strongly that they want survivors to have more tools to evade the killer rather than rely solely on outrunning them. Spine Chill is also on the list as a plausible nerf.
I suspect the intention is to make the game scarier and reward survivors for playing in a high risk, stealthy style.
I'm guessing spinechill will no longer work if the killer is in the undectable status effect

I dunno. I hate getting tunneled, but if BHVR isn't going to fix console performance and won't alter the DS skill check, then I'd rather DS get completely changed to something else. In my matches, I'm the only one running BT, the rest run DS and save me in the killer's face like I must be running DS, too. It makes me absolutely hate playing survivor 90% of the time.
Hopefully whatever they're going to do to DS will be a good change. I worry about BBQ and WGLF, I run those for earning BP and I think both are in good spots.
My assumption is BBQ and WGLF are having their BP bonuses removed, because they will be increasing BP gains in general. Or at least I'd ASSUME that's what they are doing.
-
I think we're doing a pretty good job - MC
-
Unbreakable is a one time use perk to counter slugging so makes sense they would leave that. COH I agree is annoying but, at least we now have the new perk shattered hope.
-
I just don't trust the Quality Assurance of BHVR to drop a chapter with two killers

Despite the very, very annoying little exploit that survivors can do to force you to DC, this killer may be the most fun I've had since...Artist, maybe.
Mobility - fantastic. Takes a while to get used to, but this is how you make a killer decent without powerful anti loop. The amount of little tricks you can do, and ambushing survivors inside or entering lockers is the funniest thing I've done in ages. Where was this creativity when you were making Sadako?
Nightfall - powerful, but not game breakingly oppressive.
Remnants - interesting. I've barely even started experimenting, but it feels like you can do some really creative plays.
Addons - surprisingly decent.
Honestly, the only thing he's lacking is a skin that makes him not look like Cucumber The Conquerer...
Props all round, fantastic job.
Haven't heard of an exploit related to him, how bad is it?
-
People don't like it because there is no gameplay when you are bleeding out which is understandable. In most scenarios the killer slugs to apply pressure which makes sense. In some scenarios however the killer intentionally slugs everyone and makes them wait the full 4 minutes to bleed out which is annoying
