I can remind him hehe :P
but at the end it's more of a decision between BHVR and the people owning Jason.
If you guys ever go for an original chapter, please consider a killer inspired by Jack the Ripper. Public domain and very iconic as proven by other games, like even Identity V. :)

I agree the girls need better outfits in general because not to be mean but Jane's recent cosmetic, 90% of Meg's, and Most of Nea's are just bleh. Dresses and hairs inspired by Victorian era Europe in general would be amazing! For example The Red Queen from Identity V has a great design! For the boys I think stuff like cloaks would be a bit much for survivors but killers would be beautiful like maybe wraith, trapper, and clown. And if they cant add Jack they could add a costume for someone inspired by him maybe the clown!
Agreed. The Red Queen has fantastic design in that game indeed, and so does The Ripper(he's in Identity V as a hunter/killer lol). I think they could fit Jack the Ripper perfectly tho. They should just make their own version of the character, who's completely different to the real life guy. Just like they did in many other successful video games.
-
We should get more Victorian Era England stuff other than those cosmetics with the Victorian Doctor and Nurse. We should get top hats, cloaks that men wore in England, cute dresses for female survivors, etc. And maybe even a new killer. The elusive killer, known as Jack The Ripper (Or someone inspired by him to not trigger some folks)

The Alien/Xenomorph

3k hours Leatherface main. I will never play another killer unless the devs added my absolute favourite icon:

I'd hope that they somehow incorporated the 'Betrayal' Silent Hill 2 soundtrack into the game if they ever added Pyramid Head.

If we're talking licensed chapters,
- Outlast
- Silent Hill
- Evil Within
Even though this is unlikely, it would still be pretty cool in my opinion.
Chris walker would be instant buy from me
-
My personal chapters that I'd love to see would be:
- Alien
- Original chapter (with a Jack the Ripper inspired killer like in Identity V and Assassin's Creed)
- The Shining (HERE'S JOHNNYY)

Don't know how I feel about having actual serial killers in the game...
They could just do what games like Assassin's Creed Syndicate or Identity V did with Jack. Make a killer inspired by him, but not the same guy. Just like Leatherface and Ed Gein. ;)

Idk about movie killers, but I heard Jack the Ripper was left-handed, in case the devs need an idea for Chapter 14 😂
The Ripper or someone inspired would be so freakin cool.

Not to argue you with you or anything but Compass doesn't exist anymore. They are now called Trancas International Films and have produced every Halloween movie including 2018. So getting the 2018 mask wont be as hard as it sounds.
The only hiccup might be Universal who co-owns 2018. I wouldn't be surprised if the 2018 cosmetics are tied up in negotiations with a Universal themed chapter (Dracula, Conjuring, Child's Play, The Ring).
Like how the SAW cosmetics and Ash were negotiated together.
To be fair, the original Halloween and the rights are still trademarked under Compass. And the 2018 mask is always under the Miramax trademark even though Trancas may have played a part in production.
-
This game would not have been nearly as successful as it is now without licensed content. Not even close IMO.
-
Probably can't happen anymore, but Sidney Prescott from Scream.
-
Might happen if Pyramid Head gets added someday

So why isn't this addressed in a statement by DBD?
If this is the case, why is the question of adding the mask or getting the rights just flat out ignored? Its an odd answer to give since the question goes back to even when Michael Myers first came out, people asked about the Rob Zombie masks and looks for the character, but the questions are ignored at every turn.
Are they under contract to not say anything or something?
Yeah, I definitely agree with you. And i'm not sure myself why they haven't given out some hints, but it's probably some contract stuff like you said.
-
This is because the 2018 mask is held by a separate license holder. Miramax Films owns the rights to the the 2018 mask, while Compass International Pictures owns the rights to the original movie and mask as seen in DBD. If the devs wanted to get the new mask, they would have to talk to Miramax which is probably like getting the rights to a whole new character. They might be focusing on getting ACTUAL licensed characters instead of cosmetics. That being said, I hope we do get that new mask someday.

1.The Ripper from Assassin's Creed Syndicate
2.Xenomorph from Alien
3.Pyramid Head from Silent Hill
4.Chris Walker from Outlast
5.Mr.X or Nemesis from Resident Evil
6.Jack Torrance from The Shining

I think this picture fits him better

I'm just saying, wasn't it in lore that the entity couldn't visit future times? I don't see a space ship map, if anything we would at best get a map from the AVP movie and have a pyramid
No, there was nothing to suggest that. In fact, there were hints that it could actually visit and take anyone from any timeline.

@Okapi ,@GrandpaBill24 any map of the alien saga would not remain. It would make no sense to see a trapper or a clown wandering around, or see an alien in Macmillan State.
I love alien, but I wouldn't like to see it on dbd.
And yet it makes sense for the ancient Plague or Leatherface to walk around more modern maps like Lery's or Gideon meat plant? Or the Demogorgon in a cornfield? It's no less crazy than an alien on those maps.
-
@Walker_of_the_fog_96 said:
Do you really believe that the nostromo ship would accommodate the game? I really want to alien very far from this game.
Why wouldn't it?
-
@Peanits said:
The demogorgon is a humanoid, for what it's worth. Not human, but still a humanoid.
You should really consider a Xenomorph and Ripley in the future. The Plague, Leatherface, etc don't fit on maps like Lery's or The Game, so it won't be too crazy to have them on the USCSS Nostromo. And a Xeno on other maps wouldn't be crazier than a Demogorgon on them. An Alien chapter would be huge for you guys and us.

It's not about it being OP
It's because it doesn't fit in the maps and other killers wouldn't fit on the Nostromo
Yet someone like Leatherface or an ancient Babylonian priestess fit on a map like Lery's or the Gideon plant? With like static monitors and stuff? I'm positive we'll see the Nostromo one day.

This opens the doors to so many more awesome killers like Xenomorphs and so many other cool things that kill in the movies. legit hyped
Yep, a Demogorgon is a great thing. Xenomorph is a high, high future possibility now and I think it will be in DBD one day along with Ellen Ripley and the Nostromo. Peanits said the Xenos are humanoid in terms of animation, so yay
-
I am thankful for licensed killers and survivors.
-
Ignoring that Konami is apparently a bit hard to deal with, this would most likely be the first video game killer that the devs would go for. Very requested and very iconic. Pyramid Head would be awesome with James Sunderland as a survivor and a Silent Hill map. They could even use Freddy's Dream World fog and it would be exactly like Silent Hill.

Doubt red barrels will give them the license tbh
Luckily I think they would. I've spoken to one of them before. They are very cool people, easy going, and they seemingly like publicity when it comes to the Outlast series. This was years ago tho, so I'm not sure abt now.
-
If they add a killer who can do that it's gotta be the "little pig' dude from Outlast 1, Chris Walker. Someone above mentioned him. He's gotta come in eventually, Chris and Outlast are just too iconic.
-
Love the idea. As long as I get to hear "SSTTAARRRSS!!" at least once in the game, I'm good. It's either him or Mr.X that the devs would go for.
-
OP, they're all memes bud, don't worry. Something like a shirtless Myers will obviously never be a reality. Let the good folks in this community have a laugh or two and a fun time. ;P

@GrandpaBill24 well, it is hard to put the real Jack the Ripper as nobody knows who he was, or even if Jack was a man, maybe could be a woman.
We don't know exactly who he was, but strong evidence points to the polish Aaron Kosminsky. And the Ripper was definitely a man. Most eye witnesses who report seeing the supposed Ripper describe his appearance and even his voice at one point.
The reason the whole "woman" idea came up was because ONE of the Ripper's letters had the DNA (saliva?) of a woman on it. Which is hardly anything.
-
Jack the Ripper has been a want from me for a long time. He would fit perfectly. And if the devs don't want to put the real life guy in, then they can just do exactly what other games like Assassin's Creed Syndicate or Identity V did with Jack. They kept his IRL appearance(mostly) but made their own original character, who was a different person with different motivations.

Pyramid Head will never happen unfortunately, and lore wise Pyramid Head couldn’t work in DBD because he never technically physically existed. Pyramid Head was just the manifestation of all of James Sunderlands guilt and emotional pain in James own personal Limbo.
Oh and who wants to move at 0.5 metres a second in this game anyway?
That's interesting. But I wonder, if the Entity can pick anyone from any place or timeline doesn't that mean it can just pluck Pyramid Head directly out of Sunderland's mind and bring him into the Fog? And make him as fast as any other killer?

Might as well use this song as a chase music if Chris Walker is the killer for any maps https://youtube.com/watch?v=hKPk8Rcl43c
Nahh Chris has his own theme that made his chases iconic.
-
Agreed. That was such a good soundtrack.
-
Wish it was Jack the Ripper. Like how Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Identity V did with him. Not really him, but inspired by him heavily.

That wasn't Kramer. He was on the bathroom floor playing dead at that time.
The man who killed Tapp was Zepp, who was forced into a game by Kramer, or he would die of poisoning.
It was Kramer. I'm talking about the scene where Tapp survived the throat slash, not when he actually dies. The time where Kramer evaded apprehension. That incident is what motivated Tapp's obsession on finding and stopping Jigsaw in the first place.
-
@Peanits said:
Technically speaking, The Pig in Dead by Daylight is Amanda Young. She's the only one here, there is no male Pig. Jigsaw himself wouldn't appear in the Entity's realm because he did not believe in killing people. He would give them a test, but how would not interfere. He believed that their life was in their hands, and their failures were their fault.
Now you might say, "But what about Hoffman?" That gets a shrug from me. I imagine the Entity didn't pick him before he died.
Except for that one time where Kramer slashed Tapp's throat and almost killed him intentionally. He did try at least.

Because we can. And it's fun to be toxic, either if we are the killer or the survivor :D
Some competitive trash talk is fine here and there, but when you're constantly putting people down to get pleasure out of it, it's very sad.

Characters from games would be great. I like that you mentioned Outlast because Chris Walker was on my list for a while. Mr. X from Resident Evil would be nice too.

Yeah. There's discussions on it. To dumb it down, in French, every noun is gendered and the Entity is gendered with "La", meaning it's a female noun.
That's only because the French language doesn't have a word for "it." "La" is just a replacement, so the Entity is still genderless imo.

I do love the idea of a ye olde London and Jack the ripper style killer - however it wouldn't be that much different to what we have had in the last few chapters (legion and ghostface) - plus with IRL killers (no matter the myth) I think there is an element there where people will take exception. Imagine having Ted Bundy in game xD
I think the devs could create something for Jack that's not to similar to Ghostface or Legion. I saw an idea with him controlling the fog and obscuring vision a while back. Jack has been used in two other popular games and everyone liked it, so DBD can do the same.
-
I want Jack the Ripper and a really cool map to go along. An original killer, yet historical and iconic.
-
"Yes, officer. This post right here."
-
Those are great soundtracks. But Scream's iconic chase theme comes from a particular scene.

It took more than one person and the stupids stabbed themselves in vital spots to try and get away with the crime. They were absolutely boosted potatoes.
More like one person chasing and the other one distracting with the phone convos. That's creative. Stabbing each other was more psychotic than boosted. Not nearly as boosted as the Ghostface in DBD.
-
@OrionsFury4789 said:
Ghostface was even boosted in the movies I don't know what people were expecting from a killer that could barely get the job done in the first place
He was nowhere near as boosted in Scream lol
-
The main killers/chapters that would be cool imo are Pinhead, the Xenomorph, remake 2009 Jason and mainly Candyman.
-
You already have an outfit. It's that rainbow one for Meg in the charity case. :P
