This is the thing, I'm a survivor player and I don't want killers to be like that. I want them to be unforgiving and hard to play against. My goal is to try and survive against the odds where survival is not a fact more a luxury
-
Don't you think tho @fcc2014 that people and their interpretations on how the game should be played should gtfo and stop preaching their interps?
-
No b8 m8
srs all the way

This is a stupid idea. Sorry but Thank U next.
-
yep you are
-
omg the killer is using strategy to help his plight - games broken ofc

Broken Knight of the Templar or Crazy Tibetan Monk

Crazed monks / Rasputin / Light referring to religion of some sort? Illuminati lol
-
I play SWF a lot and my team mates can sometimes be right vegetables so if you think i'm gaining an advantage from playing with them..lol then you'd be wrong.
-
I think "we" (I play survivor main) - as survivors have it too easy. I think the killers need to be stronger and when you manage to escape it should actually feel like a sense of achievement and if you get a hatch escape its like you won the lottery. I do think SWF is the most optimal setting as a survivor, but some of my friends I play with can be absolute garbage, so I do think its context dependant. but yeah make killers stronger, give the survivors more hurdles to jump through.
-
Shame I quite like a good BBQ

I get it, you are insecure about your own skills as a survivor, but always doing swf is so sad. Like my god can someone please tell me what the point of playing killer is if I'm versing 4 perfectly coordinated survivors.at least during the event I can dc so they don't get there 25 lunar points.Do you play on PC xbox or Ps4?

Fair enough.

Ive noticed that the wait times for queues has deteriorated a lot over the past two weeks. You would think they would increase with an event, this is why I think its more related to glitch/bug more so than player activity

Not enough killers. Does that really surprise you, knowing how much ######### they have to put up with?I think the recent incarnations of the last few big patches have been quite killer sided if im honest. The event isn't very killer friendly I accept that.
None of those patches have stopped the hate and vitriol from survivors, nor have they stopped them from trolling and exploiting (holding the game hostage, taunting the killer, etc.).
Killers are tired of playing what is arguably the more vital role in this asymmetrical game and getting ######### on for doing so. Now it's the survivors' turn. You want shorter wait times? Play killer.I do play killer. What do you suggest if I want to play with my partner and the times are still very long?
Reading back on my comments, I realize it sounds like I was blaming you, personally, for this BS. It's not the case, and I apologize.
In all honesty, you'd probably do well to have a board game you can play while waiting for a lobby, if the queue times are as bad as you say. Something shorter than Monopoly.no offence taken

I don't see a problem with it. If you want to spend your money on this stuff, I won't stop you, but I sure as hell won't buy it with real cash. I'd much rather play the event to get this stuff for free than pay for it. But if I can't get it anymore, and it's something I REALLY wanted then I might consider spending the money on it. Unlikely though.Yeah but the problem here is the you can buy the skins after the event it destroyed the whole idea of having event items
But you are paying MONEY for them. If you are a person like me you won't be spending MONEY on this stuff, you would play the event to get it for free.
I don't think the OP will ever get it so might as well save your breath/fingers

I'm sorry Louis, I mean no offense but I don't see what the point of the post is. This is just another generic post about camping. Personally I think its pointless to argue about anymore but for some ppl they cant just let it go.
Again i'l stand by my point that i think the only reason it's pointless suggesting any thing, is everyone gives up before anything is done. Everyone just says nothing will ever change, but it's them saying that that makes that happen. Like yeh i know i should let it go, but i still have hope.
I ask myself from viewing this post and some of the responses what have I learnt or garnered from this debate I didn't know already. It's cool to vent buddy - just yeah...cant help it but i'm a bit bored of people trying to debate camping.

Sorry Louis - i'm just failing to see what another post about camping no matter the viewpoint can possible bring any more light to the ongoing 3 year debate.
Because i'm not crying OP, i'm crying boring for both sides. As @Weederick suggested, camping doesn't even have to be discouraged, as long as a counter play is given so it results in more than just everyone doing nothing. How can there be a debate about if something is boring enough or not. If it can be made more fun, it would be ridiculous not to do it.

So when I hear a killer complain in end game chat about the one who takes that hatch instead of going after the unhook, I only see a sweaty killer complaining they didn't get the 4K.
Cause if it didn't matter to the killer... They say GG and leave.
I totally get your point of view I just personally find it more exciting to go for the save and try and get both of you out than creeping around looking for the hatch.

Hey, I've been wondering if DBD will still be going strong with updates and patches on PS4 and Xbox One even when the next consoles get released? Will the game be supported on the next gen consoles? This is a subject I have been dreading to ask because my hope is DBD won't be going away from the console market once they make that jump. That's when DBD #2 comes out

In a way, Prove Thyself is a counter to Thanataphobia, and the natural nerf of having more than one person on a gen (10% debuff for each additional person beyond one - exact counter). That said, if all gens are done by 4 people, Prove Thyself creates a roughly 33 second difference in the time it takes to do 5 gens. (Only 1 gen per map allows 4 people on it. Many only allow two.)I honestly have not seen too much of a difference, and I would say only 25% of the groups I run into are running it. Yes, the occasional try-hard SWF is all geared out with it, tool boxes, and brand new parts, but a dose of Franklins, iridescent stone, PGW, Ruin, and OC/HL tends to break up their party nicely. That's not to say they don't sometimes get the best of you, but by no means would I consider it too powerful.
Great post !

... and hope you see the vessel that the hooked survivor used and break it before the survivor's saved.
You don't have to find that exact vessel.
Really is that so? That helps a lot.
Actually lets say all vessels are taken. You have to find the hooked ones EXACT vessel.
But t
Lets say one was taken and the other(s) are not. You can destroy any of themThis is why I would prefer them to be a physical item that the survivors carry and then drop at feet like any other item.

Is it that important for you to escape through the hatch and "win?"Just have fun man. Don't worry about winning or losing as much. Save your fellow survivors. You are a team, regardless if you think otherwise.
Agree 100%

Nah that crap is funny. I've gotten that a few times from killers when leaving the 2nd last person on the hook to die so I can grab the hatch.Salty greedy killers that hunger for the 4K getting mad cause you denied them.
I don't think killers get mad about not getting the 4k at all...well I never do..and cant speak for every single killer.I just like games to be a bit more fast paced and frenetic rather than P3 Claudette crouching walking around the map for the best part of half a century - purely so they can get a few more bloodpoints.

what a boring play style.I remember a match that resulted in me killing 3 survivors within 2 minutes then the final survivor hiding for 20 minutes, still had 4 gens up...in the end I gave up ..because it was like...man...you want this that bad?
-
I really like the event, I wish when carrying the lantern it was a physical item instead of just an icon. forcing you to maybe sacrifice carrying that cheeky green toolbox etc. I do agree with a previous post..I don't think the killers have come out of it very well..
-
I don't find this game necessarily grindy at all, in fact i'd say it was one of the less grindier games on the market.
-
I think the message of get out at all costs and "assume" that the person on the hook will be saved by their SWF team mate is quite a poisonous one. Nothing annoys me more playing solo than being ignored by my team and left to die slowly, but still I struggle in the hope that one of them saves me or at least gets some gens done. I would say I am very altruistic in nature and will always try and save anyone no matter if it means depipping or not, there is only ever one particular time that I let someone die on the hook and that's if they on purposely signal me out to the killer to get me killed.
I think you should try and save everyone you can, if the killer is facecamping and your the last person then sure but if not ...help your fellow man/woman...
