  • I'm a Wraith main and I like the change, makes him slightly better as a stealth killer.

  • I just had a fun variation of post game chat.

Playing Wraith, get Haddonfield. I run Ruin, Surveillance, Spies, and and BBQ.

Game starts and I find and down a Nea pretty quickly. As I hook her, I see another Nea just afk. Down and hook her, other Nea kobes. Hook the afk who came back just as I downed her, and move on. Try to ignore tye kobed Nea ad I don't like tunneling l, but she hops on my Ruin right in front of me so I just down and hook her. After I hook her, a gen across the map near afk Nea pops so I go over and find a Dwight. Hit him and he runs to unhook Nea, which I out a stop to. The two Neas die, Dwight kills himself, and I find the final Survivor and down them and hook them. Five minute game tops.

Last Survivor messages me and compliments me on the "whooping".

Afk Nea messages me and says I need to learn not to camp because I downed the Dwight near her and didn't let him unhook her.

I'm still shaking my head and laughing at the sheer Survivor rule book mentality here. Just for anyone who does try to be toxic, bear in mind you tend to just become a story

  • Bridge the Gap (Killer)

When standing near a generator, begin working on it and help Survivors complete it

    Up We Go (Survivor)

When next to a vacant hook, press the action button to immediately hook yourself

  • I would argue it isn't as it's primary purpose arguably is to track Survivors. Solely on that, it loses to other tracking perks that can, again a debatable point, do the job better (Spies, Infectious Fright, Bitter Murmur, Rancor)

What gives BBQ its edge is the extra BP gain it gives on such a relatively easy requirement. Hook a Survivor and gain extra 25% BPs.

  • Freddy

Old Freddy was honestly fun, having to pinball around to the different Survivors applying pressure. Sure Survivors could wake up, but thats why you used perks like Overcharge and Unnerving Presence, use add ons to insta sleep people. He was by no means easy but that made him fun to me.

New Freddy is just to easy. Survivors fall asleep on their own, I can teleport to any gen essentially whenever I want, I can either place traps OR fake pallets. It's no fun, he has virtually no weaknesses. To use thw terminology that got him changed in the first place.

He's boring to play and play against.

  • Picked up Legion and been having a blast running Thana, Devour Hope, Oppression, and Huntress Lullaby

  • Only run into two as a Survivor. One was very obvious, basically a teleport cheat where the Killer would start up a lunge and no matter the distance would suddenly blink directly behind the Survivor.

The other was a Huntress who made it so her hatchets could be thrown through objects.

  • You'd keep everything. Content is tied to email, not player ID

  • I think a fun, indoor setting like an indoor arcade or amusement park would be pretty cool.

For me I think an underground mine would be an amazing map. Tunnels are long and narrow, branches that lead to others (or dead ends). The Killer Shack is in the Foreman's Office, the map gen can be in the center of the map and activate a cool little piece of the map.

  • Jane has plenty. But I'm a Kate main, so any Kate cosmetic makes me happy

  • I would honestly buy a legendary Mrs Claus skin for Kate if they released one for her

  • Was playing on Ormond with a Farming Nurse the other night and saw that addition. Personally I'd be fine with it staying, its a useful spot for both Survivors and Killers in my opinion

  • First of all completely rework all the add ons and remove all keys except the pink key.

Iridescent Key: Allows charged key to open the hatch. Consumes key on use. *Key is charged by completing Survivor objectives*

Description: In this strange game of cat and mouse, the void does not take sides

Personally to me the key is broken because it can allow a Survivor to escape with no effort put in. Any Survivor can bring a key, go to the basement, and hide until hatch spawns. Worst case scenario, you bring Left Behind to find hatch when Killer closes it, but thats it.

Now I'm not saying every Survivor with a key does this, but the point is they can, which is pretty trashy. I'm not saying Survivors should repair three gens, heal five health states, 360 the Killer 12 times around a pallet, but do something to progress the trial.

As for keys, I don't see people running broken keys. Everyone wants the keys that open things so they should just consolidate to that to better clear Bloodweb clutter. Add ons can help better charge the key, but thats what I'd do.

Of course, if keys are reworked Moris need to as well. Keys are only balanced because of Moris and vice versa. For Moris, I'd do same thing. Remove all Moris except Ebony, and make it so that you can only Mori on death hook. Simple as that.

  • Old Freddy. People gave him crap (and in fairness fir good reason), but he played so different from any other Killer and no Killer since.

He rewarded bouncing around as a Killer, and having free Deerstalker made him almost broken. It felt balanced since Survivors did take time to fall asleep and could wake up easily, but that just meant Freddy needed to keep moving.

Freddy as he is now feels like an overcompensation. Survivors automatically fall asleep, he can choose between powers, consistent and free gen pressure with teleportation.

Old Freddy rewarded stealth play as a Survivor and what felt like cunning for me as a Killer. New Freddy just rewards mindless plays imo, par for the course for BHVR

  • Left Behind is pretty good for those games where you don't know where hatch is, its open, and the Killer is licking their lips as they chase you. And even if they close it, if you're u have a key you still see it

  • When Survivor I play to escape, when Killer I play for the 4K. Anything that helps me achieve either goal is fair game for me.

Aa for a controversial opinion, Moris and Keys are completely balanced, not because on their own they are balanced, but because together they achieve a strange balance.

Both serve the same purpose, end the game early. Both require some work of some form. *Using Ebony Moris and Pink/Purple keys as reference*

For a Mori, a Killer has to win a chase, hook the Survivor, and than win a chase again. Yes the Killer can tunnel, yes they only need to hook a Survivor once to Mori them, but baseline you still need to meet that requirement.

For Survivors, you just need to survive long enough for the hatch to spawn, and occasionally have the luck to find a key in the chest in the first place. But that's it. You don't need to touch a gen to charge the key, rescue a certain number of Survivors off the hook, escape x chases. Just hold the key, find hatch, press x to win.

Both items, incredibly broken, items which on their own would completely destroy the little semblance of balance both sides have, work because they have the other. Guess it's akin to a nuclear standoff, though each side happily uses their all the time

  • My default is Calm Spirit, Soul Guard, Detectives Hunch, and Tenacity. Not a top tier build, but I like it

  • Thanks to all these "graphic updates" Id enjoy a way to turn my graphics back to the old ones. The new versions of the maps are almost impossible for me to see in due to being colorblind.

  • I like to bounce around my Kate cosmetics when playing Survivor. Also I have both the Lisa and Cybil cosmetics for Cheryl.

Killer wise I have Spirits ancestral armor, Wraiths scarecrow, and just picked up Legion because of that amazing new Blight cosmetic

  • For me it's more an annoyance at how inconsistent the revealing feels. Times I break him out from a mile away looking between vault spaces, other times I'm stroking his mask luke we are the romantic leads about to kiss in a Hallmark film amd nothing.

I've also heard he's more toxic, but that's more of a player thing. Not the dudes fault he can tbag, and I find it funny Survivors get annoyed at a Killer who tbags.

  • Definetly needs to be addressed. Personally I used the free auric cells they gave out for the Legion skin as it's creative amd made me want to play Legion (Credit where it's due, both Legion and GF got great Blight cosmetics). I didn't personally lose anything I didn't already have so I'm all good, but a good portion of the community did, and BHVR using the EULA to cover the absolute greedy and scummy action shows the people calling the shots really don't care.

Combine that with the fact that they broke PS4 for a week because they don't want to properly test things, a good portion of their customer base probably won't be making purchases soon

  • Have to be in a proper mood for it. It's not terrible, but it's one of those tastes you have to crave

  • These events bring out the worst in both sides. Not trying to downplay your issues mind you, but just accept and move on. My recommendation, play Killer and just farm with Survivors. Plenty of players looking for it, might as well add one more Killer to the mix.

  • At least you're able to play. Mine runs so bad it crashes, kicks me out of games, and than I get DC penalties

  • Well acknowledging the problem is admitting they made a mistake. Admitting they made a mistake lowers trust of consumers, which lowers the chances of cosmetic purchases. For a company that ses to be devolving into only caring about making money, of course they won't acknowledge the problem. Just pat each other on the backs when they make a new skin amd xharge people for it

  • Really bummed since the new Legion cosmetic got me to tune in and play. Than I could barely play. Ah well, at least I didn't pay any money, just used the free ACs the Devs gave me.

  • Only advice I can offer is go for the more simplistic Killers (Wraith, Deathslinger, Leatherface) There are arguments against them, but I like how their powers are simple to understand and utilize personally

  • Its a small pp build for Killers, same as DS + Unbreakable + DH or anything else. Personally I run Detectives Hunch anyways so I don't care, it is just funny to watch Survivor bbies cry

  • I only really play my Killers to do the dailies, so more often than not I contact the Survivors and let them know. Makes my life easier, makes their life easier, we all get points. Played one game as Spirit today, did the daily, did a challenge, a game where all Survivors escaped netted me 80K BPs

  • I tend to just do challenges and make that the goal. Example, hit 4 Survivors with Shred as Demi. Lod the game, get it done, than just follow Survivors around and dance with them.

Quickly turns into a farm game and I walk away with the needed BPs

  • Send me your PayPal so I can give you money to buy better bait

  • 99%ing gives time for saves, and also to block BloodWarden.

As a fix to the issue, I say Killers should be able to do an action to open-

    Oh wait. They do.

Also, use it to punish Survivors who are overly altruistic. Survivors like me, who died twice because he didn't just open the door and leave

  • I honestly don't know, just whenever I see a Quentin I feel an intense desire to Mori that Quentin. I do TRY not to be an ass and wait until after the second hook and don't tunnel off the hook, but aside from that I just need to scratch the itch only Quentin gives me.

    Take that as you will

  • I only use mine for challenges (and Quentins). I also only play Killer for challenges nowadays, so I spend most of my time just farming with Survivors

  • Depends on what you consider camping.

I say that because I have been called a disgusting camper when Survivors three genned themselves and I didn't leave the three gen area. I was running pop so I'd down a Survivor, hook em close by, and than kick a gen. Took a bit since I didn't commit to chases, but turned what would have been a complete loss into a 2 K.

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

  • Survivor- Pretty certain my build is non-meta, but I don't know. Autodidact for the quick heals, Blood Pact to help me find the person to heal/get healed, Calm Spirit cause I'm healthy and don't need a Doctor good sir (Plus protects from a few other things) and Detectives Hunch for totem Hunting.

Killer- Probably Spies from the Shadows and Unrelenting. Spies always helps me find Survivors for some reason, guess a lot of Survivors don't think about it, and Unrelenting because I'm not perfect and whiff every now and again and if I have nothing else I see no reason not to. I only ever really farm as my Killer though as otherwise I stress myself out to much.

  • A good perk to run on him in my opinion is Unrelenting, which let's you recover from missed basic attacks 30% quicker. Useful for when you get a shot in but can see chain is about to break before you can take the hit. Swinging let's you evade the five second stun and you'll recover quicker. The best is when you hit them across a thrown pallet, you break the chain, and because they are hitting the R1 (PS4) they slow vault over to get poked

  • Console player here, its not frame rate that causes the confidence it's headset. Not many console players know they can/know how to focus sound into a headset. Even fewer do in DbD. I do, and feel like Demi is chasing me as a Killer because of how loud they stomp.

  • If not for a daily, than either:

    - To try and get the trophy to Mori 4 Survivors, only to sigh in disappointment when someone DCs when they see a Mori.

    - Cause there's a Quentin. I don't know why, but I feel an innate need to Mori Quentins. Only time I ever tunnel.

  • Kate is my only fully prestieged. Started playing at Curtain Call and after enjoying a few games purchased the DLC for Windows of Opportunity to help my newb self. Saw no reason to ever switch, though I may fully prestiege my Lisa (Cheryl) since Lisa is one of my favorite SH characters.

As for Killer, none. See no reason to personally, though if I did probably Wraith or Spirit.

  • They got Hillbilly nerfed so they're moving to the next target. Forum history proves Survivors will just whine about the Killer they don't like until they get nerfed.

  • I can't play Killer whatsoever. I'm colorblind and had already struggled to see auras as Killer. Now it's literally impossible for me because they are just so dark. What do the devs have against colorblind people anyways? For a company that loves to promote how inclusive they are, feeling very discriminated against every update when they make things darker amd offer no options for a player like myself.

  • I had an idea last night for a Kate/Wraith set. Kate dressed as a Lara Croft/Indiana Jones type explorer while Wraith is dressed like a Mummy. Mostly any Kate skins though

  • Insidious has an amazing counter, Kindred. Shows all the other Survivors whats going on so they can focus on repairing gens. "But its not fun for the camped Survivor!" Yeah well Killers who want to camp are going to camp. Devs have already said it's a legit strat and have done what they feel necessary to discourage it. Just get over it and move on.

As for Ghostface, as has already been mentioned, revealing him knocks him out of Stealth and removes his ability to mark. In return, GF sees where you are. Game wise its an eye for an eye, you are "risking" yourself for the team. Lore wise it even makes sense for GF to learn where you are since the Devs have stated the relationship between the Entity and GF is closer than most.

  • Calm Spirit. Just so I can mentally flip off Doctors. Helps against Infectious Fright to, but mostly because I can't stand Doctors

  • First Rift I've purchased since I'm a Kate main and dat lore. But im running into a problem of no Killer chasing me! Took me THREE games to get the pallet ones.

Seriously, second game the Freddy saw me, shook his head at me, and walked off

  • But in all seriousness, what happens to the Killer who hooks someone next to their three gen? Ive had games like that where I hook them dead center in my three gens, under this nerf now Im getting punished for defending my gens to prevent a possible escape.

Also 48 is WAY to much. Depending on the size of the map, that means a Killer would be considered "camping" if they were within 1/4th of the map.

  • I enjoy simplistic Killers, and by that I mean Wraith and Deathslinger. Their abilities are simple to understand and to use, at least for me. I also play around differently depending on the Killer.

Wraith for example is "pressure". Surveillance and Ruin to let me chase Survivors immediately and not worry about kicking (Ruin pops randomly for me. Some games its gone immediately, other games I have it the whole game) Infectious Fright to help me catch nearby clickies, and BBQ to help me find slugged Survivors and get me extra Bloodpoints.

Deathslinger is more about catching off guard and power utilization. M&A to let me sneak up on my prey, Infectious to catch the clicky, Unrelenting in case I cant get a hit from my reel, and Deerstalker since I find myself slugging A LOT with him

General Killer I'm more of an "anything goes". Some games I just steamroll, other games I need to slug. I try not to tunnel, not out of any moral high ground but more because it's boring for me as a Killer. That being said if its late game, I know where hatch is and hooking you after you were just unhooked gets you out of the game so I can close that hatch, well truth is the game was rigged from the start.

I will also tunnel you with the fury of the Entity if you are a Quentin player. Not for any reason against you, I just find joy in Mori-ing Quentins. Like, SO MUCH joy. I don't even know why, but generally once I mori the Quentin I tend to just go through the motions for everyone else. Best game though was 4 Quentins.
