It goes whether it glows
-
*I gen rush and don't do bones and am unhappy that Killers have a perk that punishes my mistakes, plz nerf*
-
I mean in fairness, they did have to put in new cosmetics for this super amazing event that they put so much focus on. Clearly BHVR is just prioritizing the important things
-
On break now. Started when SBMM first came in and decided to let that burning train crash happen and settle down (still waiting). Than decided to wait for Mikaela to get nerfed in a month since she's an obvious cash grab and her perks will be gitted after people have bought her (i seriously doubt BHVR will do anything else, this is Ash all over again). And am now on an indefinite break of buying things since someone in BHVR feels its okay to lie to their devs AND community.
Been playing Destiny and Mass Effect instead
-
Not after they admitted to lying to the community yesterday. BHVR isn't getting a cent from me anymore until the game focuses on better health, more transparency, and less cash shop
-
NFTs dont matter to me to be honest, but it's lying to the community that is the last straw for me.
Binding of Kin breaking the game for console players and not being immediate concern instead pushing cosmetics.
All Kill completely ignoring community concerns, releasing in it's state, and not making any steps to adjust.
Breaking the game AGAIN for the RE chapter, and AGAIN not making fixing it the priority (and before anyone gets on me, I mean not giving constant communication about what is going on, instead going "will fix in a month, please buy cosmetics)
And now lying to their community. Im done,, not giving BHVR a cent until they start fixing their #########.
-
If you need a console person Im down
-
I'll just do what I normally do, pick "farmable challenges" and message the Survivors for help. PS wise the playerbase is always pretty chill about helping the Killer.
-
Getting Adept Nightmare on Old Freddy/Getting Adept Trickster either the day of or after he was released
Also getting Adept Nemesis my first game as him after the Survivors sent me to RPD. They didn't realize I played way to much RE2 so I knew that map easy
-
Monstrous Shrine. Only good for basement builds, and even than theres like ten perks that do better
-
My favorite part is devs saying "no video proof no ban". So you save the video, upload it, fill out their form, go to attach video, and uh oh their website cant get the video. Even their own reporting system on theor website is broken and they don't care

I would run Huntress Lullaby instead of Devour Hope, it works great with Oppression!
I have a serious problem with DH, every Killer runs it.

Please give your opinion and/or what you would change about it.
Im a Trickster main and I’m proud
Not bad. I run Starstruck, Devour Hope, Undying, and Oppression. Build gets work done
-
I've been taking a break ever since SBMM dropped, just wanting to let that settle down. Now with Boon Totems I may take a longer one if they drop in their current state, which they will. BHVR is a business and needs to make money off this Survivor chapter. I get it from business side of things, but as a consumer it's a pretty [BAD WORD] thing to do. And no, nerfing keys does not make up for it, such an obvious and simple change should have been implemented months ago, and not until they could give toxic SWF streamers a new toy to play with.
-
Spies/Unrelenting
Spies is criminally underrated in my opinion. Crows scare pretty easily in DbD, even against red ranked Survivors, and few players run Calm Spirit so it can really help out.
As for Unrelenting, I fully admit to the crime of being human and misjudging distance or straight whiffing a hit, and that quick recov really comes in handy
-
Well with Survivors losing keys BHVR has to give toxic squads a new to toy to make up for it, else BHVR risks losing that precious money
-
Got called a cigarrete butt amd had someone ask if I thought I tried hard enough when I got a 4K as a lvl 1 Doctor running only basic M&A. I'd actually felt pretty prpud pf myself for veing able to end all my chases in seconds since the Survivors kept trying to do loops and I was able to do stalls with the shock and get easy hits
-
It'll be great for Basement Trapper. Thats about it
-
Nemesis. Every other Killer needs a weapon ir sharp claws. Neme? He just punches. Really. Hard. Gotta love it
-
Freddy and Plague, same reasons as you.
To elaborate more on Freddy though, one reason not a lot of players "got" Old Freddy in my opinion waz their hyper focus on Killer Meta, which he could not use. Since people couldn't protect Ruin with him he was bad. What they missed though was Old Freddy thrived on detection perks and hit and run tactics. Spies was one of his best perks, that or Whisper. Add in things like Sloppy and Nurses, combined with his built in Deerstalker+, and you could easily be a hassle.
I'm not saying he was actually S tier, but by just slugging Survivors and always putting an awake Survivor into Dream State, you could quickly become oppressive.
New Freddy just feels like a Fully Loaded Potato. He can hit Survivors normally, he has slowdown built in, he can monitor and control chases, he has good map coverage cause he can teleport, Survivors just passively fall asleep. I can't think of anything at this time that Freddy doesn't have that a Killer needs. He just makes the game a little toooo easy imo.
That being said, I do keep myself in low ranks for Killer simce I like to meme 9 out of 10 games, so I also admit when I do get serious more often than not I get total potatos
-
Killer: Exist, tends to earn salt (I got called a tryhard while playong a lvl 1 Doctor running only rank 1 M&A)
Survivor: Only time I ever got any salt was going for my Adept Jake while also doing the recent escape as Jake challenge. Brought in a key and hatch offering and the Pig I was against was angry at me at the end, all while the Pig was camping their hooked Survivors (not against camping either as it is a legit strat, but its just funny the blatant hypocrisy. Also this Rank 2 said I was dumb for thinking Pig is a stealth Killer)
-
In order I have "mained" Pig, Spirit, Old Freddy, Wraith, Legion, Deathslinger, Legion again, Plague, Trickster, and I am now working on Doctor
-
I would like it if the Boons were tied to Hex perks, as in it would only activate if the Killer is running a Hex perk. Example
Boon: Focus (Activates if affected by a Hex perk) Gain a 2/3/4 percent bonus to gen repair, healing, unhooking, and door opening speeds.
Think like Soul Guard. Even make super "strong" ones but with more specific criteria.
Boon: Survival Instinct: (Activates when all gens are completed and if affected by a Hex) While in the dying state, gain the ability to recover while crawling. If picked up, succeed a skill check to stun the Killer (Once per Trial)
-
I'd recommend take a week or so off DbD after the 13th whenever you do these. If everyone gets their MMR back, if you wait a week most likely you'll get the "easier" Survivors. I k ow Im also going for all Adepts, my recent acquisitions were Adept Demo and Doctor
-
As a Survivor it's pretty stupid to have those happen, especially since I run Stake Out and use it like a perimeter radar. Oh look, I'm only abot 20 percent done and the Killer is near, let me just step off and start sneak or tell the Killer Im right here. That...that works to.
As a Killer, I literally cannot tell if this happens or not, so I don't really k ow how much "value" I get from it
-
This is by no means confirmed but here is what I think. The license holder saw the "I came" memes and didn't like seeing their character suddenly become a laughingstock and told BHVR to remove it. That's why they can't disclose the reasons why as its part of their NDA
-
I took a week long vacation about a week and a half ago, soent most of it playing DbD. When I played Solo
1) I think in the entire week I played ot happened about two or three times? That's when I of course made it to end game.
2) Probably about 50/50 as it depends on a lot of things.
3) I cleanse every one I see personally. Free points and less chance of NOED.
-
Watching my bro play Neme last night, he tentacled a Dwight and infected them. The Dwight than got launched forward and rounded a corner straight into Bob who gave me man a face high five.
-
Either A, you are a Killer pkayer in which case GREAT NEWS, there are currently 23 other Killers you can play as, and if by some odd chance none of them tickle you pink you do have another one coming in a week or two Id say.
Or, and this is what I assume to be the case, B) You are a Survivor who is unhappy that Wraith is no longer a complete joke to go against and are attempting the tried and true "not fun" defense, in which case here is some advice.
Git gud
-
Giving them points in Distraction wouldn't be to bad I suppose. Technically a camped Survivor is being distracting
-
Ran into a hacker yesterday, filled out the entire report form, and than couldn't link the vid showing the gameplay necause BHVRs website wouldn't take it, and everyone knows they wont look at reports without vids. But not surprised, BHVR has been showing the past few months they care more about selling cosmetics than making a good game.
-
Distressing Doctor, Thanatophobia Plague & Legion, Devour Hope anyone ever (DH is my favorite perk)
-
Power Moves is kind of a bragging achievement, but it helps you see how much help perks can have.
Evil Incarnate requires a lot of moving parts out of Killers control to work, and in High Ranks where people will hop in the locker to spite you it sucks (about to attempt it, pray for me)
Left Behind in modern DbD because it essentially requires the Killer to let you do it (Ill sometimes just stand on hatch as Killer and "force" it for other Survivors)
Where'd they all go has to be done in a 4 man SWF or you just get really lucky.
I mean, list goes on
-
I do it. Just had a game against a Red Rank Bubba, poor thing kept getting ran and only had two hooks by the end of the game. I opened a gate but just ran around it, and when he walked over I ran to a hook and bagged away. He did have some BM by Chainsawing me as Spider Daddy took me into his loving embrace, but he may have thought I was trying to tilt him
-
Yes
At the end of the day if Survivors gen rush and don't worry about totems than they are accepting the risk. If a Killer is providing good pressure and keeps Survivors off the totems they are protecting their Hex.
Survivors also have THREE perks that work well with each other or do a good enough job solo to help them find and destroy totems (the best arguably is also free to all Survivors)
And to the good ol "rewards Killer failure", I'll once again do the fan favorite gen protection is not a Killers job. Just cause gens got completed doesn't mean the game is over.
Now it is annoying, I've ran into 2 today at high ranks, but those were also games where we rushed gens like no tomorrow (though I will note even when rushing someone cleansed a hec totem and I cleansed three dull, and the NOED was in the open so that was gone) but as always not every game is a victory. Thats why I measure my games by challenge progress
-
For Kate I started playing when Curtain Call dropped, and her Windows was great than and is still great now. As a newb helped me learn maps and now as an older newb helps me plan chases and see what has and hasn't been used.
Killer wise I keep bouncing around. Trickster is fun, not great by any meams but fun. Wraith and Legion are simplistic but effective, Doctor has the Look See cosmetic. Plague is bai. Clown has his girth.
-
Two things.
Primary, lack of any optimization or open discussion by the developers on the subject. By this I mean anything more than the whole "we care abd are looking at it" they keep trying to sell. How are you looking at it? What EXACTLY are you doing to make the game run better on consoles? Because after Binding of Kin and RE, the devs can say all they want they care but they are SHOWING me they do not, or at least showing the impression they do not.
I'm not expecting a magic patch that will fix everything forever, and even if I want and feel that dedicating an entire chapter purely to game health is the best choice, I understand BHVR is a business first and foremost and they need to sell product. Same reason why that even though I wish Fog Whispers would grow a backbone and actually showcase the state of this game I k ow why they don't. This is their livelihood for most of them, they need to pay bills to.
I do feel though BHVR would win so much EASY good PR if they just came out and said "hey, we've got problems, we are doing x to fix y" R6 Siege got plenty if good PR after Operation Health and remains a top tier game even with its own issues. Again, recognize they are different companies, but it's not like Ubisoft patented fixing broken games.
I just want to SEE more and HEAR less
As for a minir fix, I want more fun killers. Everyone bags on Trickster, but he's pretty fun for me to play. I get he's not S Tier, but does every Killer need to be?
-
To much
-
Not to excuse the support team, but just last night I got a message from another player telling me to enjoy an incoming ban since they reported me for working with the Killer. I was doing the Calm Spirit challenge in the rift and sent everyone to Midwich so I could just urban evade around the courtyard. I did help complete the courtyard gen and healed people, but the remainder of the game I immersed in the bushes. I ended up getting a completion, but everyone including me was sacrificed, and a salty Survivor decided it happened because I was working with the Killer.
Now, heres what I believe support sees. They see this report, so now they have to watch this game from both mine and the Killer's perspective. They have to analyze every interaction and movement, before concluding that no, this Kate did not work with this Spirit. Again, guessing here but Id say that's at least an hour or two of work but most likely more.
Now, imagine that but times a hundred. We hear thw devs say don't report for tunneling, camping, bming, etc., but we all know players do so anyways. Whats probably happened in your case is your game is literally piled under so many trash reports that it's taking a while to get to.
-
Aside from lack of optimization, I'd say it's their communication to the community as a whole, both major and minor.
Minor issues are how codes are announced solely through social media it feels. Aside from the Spiral Mask, not once have I ever booted up the game and seen the Devs send out a message "use code freeblood for BP". I always have to hope someone posts on the forums cause O refuse to enter the cesspool that os Facebook and Twitter.
Major problems for me is the complete cluster suck that was Alto and the colorblind fiasco. As a colorblind player, it felt very frustrating that certain maps and Killers were completely unplayable for me simply because I couldn't see the auras of things cause the Devs love dark mode. Constantly hearing that devs weren't going to implement CB modes was equally as frustrating but I could at least understand. Than Alto says he's annoyed people were asking about it AND ALL OF A SUDDEN it is a feature ready to go? Seems oddly coincidental.
People go "oh they couldn't announce it cause they don't want to set expectations for a release". This wasn't se fix to PHs butt or a new chapter, but an actual part of game health that has helped TREMENDOUSLY at least for me, but right now I only feel I got it because BHVR got bad PR and NOT because they actually gave a crap
-
To be honest, I see a crow on a rock.
-
Understand others have fun, but at least for me on console interacting with one causes frames to drop, causing game to freeze, forcibly failing the skill check, causing me to be unable to complete it. Pretty frustrating that the devs are that tone deaf that after almost two months of them taking their time to barely fix frame rate issues they'd release a challenge like this
-
Kate Legion could be cool

I've seen a lot of killers who pretend to be farming and then just kill the survivors. So no, never trust a "farmer", just rush the gens and get out of there.
Yeah, just ran into that kind if scum. Trickster chases me for a bit but doesn't hit, I do a quick bag to ascertain farming, he nods, I think cool. Run for a bit and than point at a hook to give him my points. Guy hooks me, I get rescued, he downs me and hooks me again, I get rescued and immediately downed and sacrificed.
I mean, whatever, but as a Killer who LIKES to farm and meme around with Survivors, this sucks cause I know it just ruins the trust factor of other future games, which in turn makes farming more difficult
-
So Killers can tunnel me five minutes into the game out of the trial? And Survivors can gen rush all five gens five minutes into a trial, like what every "five cake" game was?
Nah, I'm good fam
-
For some reason it's only Neas and Davids who clicky click at me
-
Spies or Unrelenting as a Killer. Spies helps me find so many Survivors because no one ever preps for it, and Unrelenting, well, I don't pretend to be perfect. I have whiffed plenty of shots, and will whiff plenty more, amd when I do have the perk on it certainly helps.
Survivor wise I don't feel right if I'm not running my Windows + Lithe.
-
Only of your actions can be construed as "forced farming", and by that it's not letting other Survivors play as intended.
Example, I like to farm Killer dailies and challenges. Just now I waa doing Clown daily to hit intoxicated Survivors and get chase time. Was chasing a David, not hitting him just staring at his back. Eventually he stops, stares at me, and shakes his head no, so I left him and found a Jake to chase.
Had I say, followed the David and kept throwing bottles at him to force him off gens but never attacked him that could be reported and be bannable.
As for being "nice" and letting the last Survivor go, unless it can be proven you were working together, both you and the other Survivor are safe
-
Wraith- 63
Trickster- 69 (I am heartbroken, for I can never use any of those cakes due to my immaturity)
-
Puking on gens at the start of the game is good since you can use it either as an alarm or the discount Corrupt Intervention since some Survivors will wait out the puke. Aside from that, best to just use on Survivors.
Also pay attention to how Survivors react to your puke. If they take it, keep throwing up on them and get that power value. If they try and bob and weave it, they tend to just give the distance for a free smack. As for red vomit, don't view it as a "power" as ultimately it's not in your hands more often than not that you get it.
As for builds, that's up to preference. My personal build is Devour Hope because I love that perk and I'm never taking it off any Killer fight me, Undying because I love my DH and want it to stay, and than I bounce around different perks (Oppression & Thanatophobia are my current other two)
Sincerely, number three of the seven Plague mains
