  • It's funny how killers will complain so much about DS when they have SO many perks that are just a pain to go against. I started using DS lately because honestly I don't wanna be tunneled out of the game in 2 mins.

I've had games where I never even got to use DS and that's completely fine! I've also had games where I didn't get to use DS and the killer still got a 4k without tunneling.

From what I gather most of the killers asking for a DS nerf just don't know how to track survivors which is crazy considering how many tracking perks killers have.

If you're so scared of getting struck by DS, slug them (even if they might have unbreakable at least they're not running around doing objectives), find someone else, go after the person unhooking, if you can't find them patrol gens! That's what I do when I play killer and it works out pretty fine.

You have to keep in mind that there is a reason why you're getting hit by DS.

  • I feel like better animations would be better, something that looks and feels more fluid.

  • @RamblinRango said:

You think he should just explode after downing someone?

If he's THAT close to the hook, yeah.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

She already has a minimum distance from the hook where she can remain idle and the transition Victor-->Charlotte takes around 6 seconds, this should give plenty of time for you to go away from the hook.

I had a game where Victor was right next to me, and honestly the transition feels like less than 6 seconds. Even then, that's a pretty short amount of time compared to killers to actually have to run back to the hook.

  • You have to realize that that is not a scenario that happens often unless it's swf. Trying to get someone to follow you to the hatch or show it to them without being able to talk and relying on an emote is not that easy lol.

Quite frankly I don't see many crazy solo key plays, usually they die or escape alone. On the other hand, I see a lot of killers tunnel someone down just to get them out of the game right away, and lets be real a 3 v 1 is not fun. When I'm playing killer I don't want an easy game because it gets boring real quick, same when I'm playing survivor.

But I realize that there's some people out there that only care about 'winning' aka 4k or escaping, not matter what. It's funny when a killer say to me "Haha I win you lose, you died" and my response is.. ok? lol.

People need to realize that there's more to this game than escaping or killing, you have to enjoy the process. If you focus too much on killing/surviving you're gonna get too heated and it will ruin your experience. Unless being a sweaty try hard gets you off, then you do you lol.

    no

I don't see moris enough for them to have ever been a problem

and keys shouldn't be able to be found in chests and leave the hatch open behind them

The same thing could be said about keys, I don't see a lot of people using them often. I have a bunch of them because I never use them so they just sit there.

Sometimes you dislike one survivor more and want to make sure THAT ONE doesn't get out alive.

@Xeticus Well she sucked, so if anything she would've been better off dead (in the game). She even ratted out everyone else, it turned out ot be some streamer who was trolling to ruin other people's games.

  • What do you expect from a game who's biggest player base is probably teenagers? It's not going to be constructive criticism or civil arguments lol. It's going to be memes or "get good" "no u" "you're mad" "I'm right you're wrong" or insults being thrown here and there.

(Mind you there's some adults out that that act like kids too).

  • Thank god this dude is satisfying his sadistic needs on this game and not people irl.

  • @DaKnight said:

Stealth is rewarded, in that you don't die?

Recently I had a nurse of all things complaining I was hiding from her. It was pretty obnoxious because she tried to get one of the other survivors to rat me out after I had not been hooked all game. I literally saved this meg, and then she brought the nurse over to me using bond.

Luckily, I brought in a key and dipped out; right in the nurses face too.

You think running out and letting the nurse chase me for free would relieve pressure from my teammates? I doubt it.

@DaKnight I had a Meg do the same to me with a Freddy. He couldn't find me so he picked her up and kept dropping her so that she could bring him to me and she did. Then to top it all off they thought that they were actually good at the end game chat.

Imagine being so desperate to find someone that you use another survivor to find them now that's sad, to me at least lol.

  • Because I don't know what else to play.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/207566/devs-please-think-about-implementing-a-communication-systems-it-would-help-solo-a-lot

"P.s I don't mean in game voice chat"

There is literally have game lobby chat for that.

Not only that, but survivors are supposed to have ZERO communication at all. The fact that people are able to circumvent that is the anomaly, not the norm.

Let's be real, some communication is needed especially with all the reworks and buffs that killers keep getting with every patch.

You think that a group of solos can compete against a full meta killer with broken add ons etc..? Hell no.

And don't give me the "but survivor are not supposed to be able to communicate" argument because if that were still the case the devs wouldn't put out a survey about adding a way for solo survivors to communicate in the game.

Having simple phrases would really help solo survivors have some way to communicate with others and make their experience better.

  • Yes they should add communication for solo players, and by that I don't mean a chat. Something like prewritten messages is good like "The killer is near me" or "Heal me please" stuff like that would be helpful and I know it's possible because Identity V has something like that and I believe Deathgarden Blood Harvest had something similar too.

  • They'll most likely come back, given that they gave out the Kate and David top to everyone even the people that never played the event if I'm not mistaken.

  • @Zender said:

The opposite role of what you play.

What's that supposed to mean? lol

  • I'd rather have a bunch of good regular clothes then too many themed outfits. I don't know about you but I like ot mix and match and with themed stuff you're kinda limited to that outfit, unless it miraculously matched with a piece from another outfit.

I personally buy skins cause I care about how my characters look as trivial as that sounds lol. I haven't bought any themed outfits from what i recall or if I did I bought 1 piece that might match with something else.

  • Now that I think of it, I don't really play it for fun anymore. I usually play a couple of matches solo to pass some time or play with a friend of mine who is still new to it.

There isn't another game I'm very interested in playing tbh so I stick to dbd. Maybe one day something better will come and I can finally bid DBD farewell, unless they make it more fun, then I'll stay lol.

  • So you're telling me that I should let some little monster thing that may or may not be a baby kill me and that I shouldn't kick the sh*t out of it?

Also why is your little sister watching you play DBD?

  • I didn't know I was playing against Noob3 until a friend told me that he saw me in one of his vids. It's an old vid but he was playing Hag and we were all slugged i think lol.

  • 4k and barely gets 18k bp, just shows that everyone probably died on their first hook. Just another sweaty, slugging nurse player.

  • It just sounds like you really need a better computer. I never had issues on my old laptop and it wasn't even meant for gaming and it still worked fine.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

No, immune response is not the same as pain tolerance.

@Speshul_Kitten Ok if you wanna get technical. How do you get healed by getting a back massage or survive getting a hook through one of your lungs? lol

  • It's called being tabbed out, listening to music, watching videos, you should try it sometime, waiting 1 minute is not gonna kill you. I'm not gonna sit there and watch my character stand while I wait for a match especially with the que times sometimes... or the fact that killers be dodging lobbies like CRAZY, I'm talking 5 different killers before we get one that readies up.

My experience is that I see a ton more mori kills than key escapes. I have 2.2k hours (survivor) in the game. Does anyone else see it the same way? I have not seen a statistic on # mori kills vs key escapes. I would love to know that.

@Chrisko THIS! I barely ever take a key and when I look at my teammates most of the time they don't have a key either. I see more mori offerings than key. I don't use keys to the point that if they flat out removed them I wouldn't care lol, but the mori's need a serious rework it's the only think I'm really looking forward to and i hope they don't f*ck it up.

  • Yeah I used to love playing as him even though he wasn't the best. I thought they were going to improve his power but they changed him completely. :(

  • Survivors: Jane, Feng for the females Dwight and Adam for the males

Killers: I'll either play the Wraith or leatherface.

4k hours. Thinks ranks mean anything.

Sure there bud. 4k hours, and doesn't understand why bloodpoints are distributed how they are.

@Ace_Ventura Funny cause you mentioned ranks first. Go back and reread what you even wrote, it's the only reason why I mentioned ranks. Sad. Now go enjoy your WGLF and 7k hours of wisdom.

kay - I'll dig your grave and bury you at the same time if this is the hill you choose to die on.

All I see if BIAS in your replies. You think I never used WGLF? You think healing someone from start to finish with 100% speed is gonna take 2 seconds? Especially with a killer who has infectious and people are dropping like flies?

It's not bias to quote fact. Neither of the modes, killer or survivor, in DBD are particularly hard. But killer is the harder role to play. It's observable fact. If you're going to heal someone and have to do it from start to finish - either you didn't LET them recover at least a little bit (which means the killer is literally still there - PLOT HOLES!!!), or they didn't recover in the time they were on the ground. If they chose not to recover after x amount of time, you leave their ass on the ground. It doesn't take 2 seconds. It takes 5 or 6. Timing is important. Learn it. If infectious bothers you, run calm spirit. It counters many annoying things, not just infectious. But okay - use a very specific anecdotal situation to attempt (and fail hard at) getting your point across. *slow clap*.

Survivors need more points because they get LESS and it all depends on who? The KILLER. What does it matter if you're an experienced survivor and you get camped to death or tunneled? You think DS is gonna save you from tunneling? If a killer wants you dead and cut your game short they can and THAT is the problem.

Survivors actually don't need more, and they do earn less because their job isn't as hard. They have less to do to accomplish their objective, which is to escape. Killers on the other hand do need more because unlike survivors, every killer is different. They all have different powers. Survivors are only reskins with different perks. You don't have to unlock all the perks on all the survivors to get the full experience like you do with killer. If you get camped or tunneled - deal with it. It happens, and don't act like it's every game (and if you say it is, dead giveaway that you're in green ranks, tops); and yes, if you're a decent player, DS WILL save you. Unless you're pepega and use it at 5 gens. Survivors have ALL the ability and resources available to them to basically never get caught if they play correctly. Even if the killer makes no mistakes, a survivors resources outweigh the killers. Again - observable fact by people who play both sides (aka, not you).

Why should I wait in queue for upwards of 10 mins to end up in a [BAD WORD] game. There are so many factors when it comes to how many points you get as a survivor. Your gameplay, your THREE other teammates and last but not least the killer. So think again before you start mouth off about experience and what not. When you're the killer the amount of points you earn is about how well you play, if you got stomped you won't get as much, but if you do well you get a good amount of points. Yeah you'll meet a group of sweaty survivors from time to time but guess what it's all about how YOU handle it as a killer, there's no killer 2.0 taking your kills or anything. It's all up to you, whereas when you're a survivor you REALLY depend on your teammates and lets be real when you're in solo it's potato city.

You're calling me biased and trying to school me (it's cute, really), while telling me "think again before I mouth off" when I've likely got more time in survivor than you've got time in the game in total (nearly 7k hours total for me, so far, literally 2/3 of that survivor; which I play because survivor is more chill, ironically).

You have WAY more to worry about as killer. You have to worry about every single survivor at once, but only have the ability to chase one at a time. Every second you chase one is a second 3 others are on gens. Doing well as killer depends on how good survivors are. All you're doing by complaining about how hard survivor life is, is giving the impression that being a killer against you is easy. If survivor isn't about how well you play, how do I manage to walk out AT LEAST 50k BP richer, nearly every survivor game (I exclusively play solo, btw), using WGLF and a 25% BP offering? I'll tell you why. It's because I'm better than you; and no that's not an insult. You can get to that level to, with experience, which again, looking at what you're whining about, you don't have a lot.

To close, as others have said, survivors are one entity. Not each, as a team. Therefore - they need to stack their bound envelopes together, like a team, to get that which the killer gets. That's the point. Killers are their own entity. Survivors, as a team, are another.

My dude - you're pissing up the wrong tree if you think that you have either a chance of schooling me on anything DBD related, or if you think you have even the slightest chance of winning this debate. Both of those situations are literally impossible.

@Ace_Ventura Here's the thing you didn't bury anything. And I have over 4k hours and in red ranks (the fact that you care about hours and ranks which mean nothing says a lot).

So you really just said that you can never get caught even if the killer doesn't make a mistake, now that's a joke if I've even heard one especially against certain killers. I get it that ######### happens and no it doesn't happen every single game like how some killer mains love to claim that all they go up against is sweaty swf teams.

I also play killer, not as much as survivor for sure but enough to know more or less what I'm talking about. Also I don't get why you're being so condescending lol You think I'm breaking my back backwards getting 4 stacks of WGLF, NO.

The thing is you keep missing the point that doing well as a survivor doesn't mean you'll get a lot of points. I could loop the killer all game, where's my altruism? Objective? I'll probably run out with 15k max. I've played killer games where I did pretty bad and I pretty much made the same amount of points the survivors who escaped made.

Don't give me this oh killer is harder. Also what point are you trying to make with this whole powers and survivor reskins??? You still need about 50k points for a bloodweb at lvl 50 and now add ons disappear at the end of the match regardless if you escape or die so we need more point even more. I've had games where I bring in an item and I don't even get to use it, brand new. I escape and boom add ons still gone lol.

All I'm getting from you is that you're just a condescending person that has to bring in 'experience' and 'hours' and 'ranks' (which mean nothing cause you could easily be a potato at red ranks). If you still don't get it then I don't know what to tell you, peace.

  • @Ace_Ventura said:

Killers have more points because their job is harder. Plain and simple. WGLF DOES compare. It was literally just buffed. It gives the SAME stackable bloodpoint bonus that BBQ does, AND has super fast healing for anti-slug play. If you don't see that as valuable, you're not a very experienced survivor.

Safe unhooks are never guaranteed. Neither are all 4 BBQ stacks; and if you're scared to take a protection hit...again, this speaks to your experience (or lackthereof) as a survivor.

Survivors get, proportionately, the amount of bloodpoints they deserve. If you want more, work for it. Play killer. I don't know why you think you're entitled for the same rewards for less effort and work.

Basically - your post is pure, 100%, grade A entitlement. At it's absolute finest.

@Ace_Ventura All I see if BIAS in your replies. You think I never used WGLF? You think healing someone from start to finish with 100% speed is gonna take 2 seconds? Especially with a killer who has infectious and people are dropping like flies?

Survivors need more points because they get LESS and it depends on who for part of it? The KILLER. What does it matter if you're an experienced survivor and you get camped to death or tunneled? You know being screwed over when one side decides to be sweaty...goes both ways, right?

Also, again, you have survivor pudding. It's called Escape Cake. That's literally the survivor counterpart. Survivors also have their own version of BBQ. It's called WGLF.

You're just asking for more than killers have at this point.

@Ace_Ventura You clearly didn't read what I said.

First of the killer will always make more points because they stay in the match the longest and literally everyone and their mother uses BBQ cause it actually has a decent use. WGLF doesn't compare, healing someone when they're slugged? ok lol.

Plus you're running to go get those safe unhooks that 2 other people can just deny you (unless you wanna get slapped taking a protection hit that will put you at a disadvantage just for a stack).

If we already have bound envelopes that is for everyone then why can't we have one like bps or at least 50%. When I stack bps with others it's because I want to make more points and not have to sweat for crazy saves and stuff, and have a chill game where I get a decent amount of points.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Why? To screw over the nice killers that are just playing to have fun because of a toxic minority?

@MadLordJack So it doesn't matter when we get screwed over when the killer wants to be sweaty. I've had killers actually dc AFTER we loaded in and we had 3 bps stacked (which would benefit him too) but he wanted to be petty and waste it all.

  • @Ace_Ventura said:

    What? lol

    WGLF? Escape Cakes? Or...ACTUAL BPS?

Why do you need an exclusive to survivors 100% bonus bloodpoints offering? lol

    Yeah, survivor pudding, BBQ.

Why not? Why should I let the killer screw over the game and be extra sweaty cause someone stacked bps and then walk away with the points that I gave them? It's basically giving them a reason to be sweaty idk why.

@OniWantsYourMacaroni Bad or not, it shouldn't even be happening lol. I've been hit by these bs hits before and you don't even need to slow down the clip... it's blatantly obvious.

  • @Creepa99 said:

This is on you for having bad connection. I main killer but also play a decent amount of survivor. Killers have it way more rough than survivors. Playing killer is like playing highly competitive CoD and can be extremely stressful and difficult. How bout you stop complaining and just deal with your bad connection.

BTW: I play solo queue survivor so that even adds to how easy survivor is.

@Creepa99 If you have bad connection as a killer the hits will look legit on your end but the survivor will see themselves getting hit from 6ft away. Also in the clip his ping was fine so try again.

  • @Maperson said:

Hmm, according to the stats we should buff Nurse a lot

@Maperson Except the devs themselves said she doesn't need a buff, she just has a high skill cap and some people who play her aren't as good with her to that drops her stats. You have to take that into consideration and the op made a lot of valid points that tbh you can't argue against.

Freddy rn takes barely any skill to play and get good results. Unlike the nurse where if you take time to learn how to play her you can become unstoppable. At least that way you earned it. I'm a survivor main and play killer here and there and tbh I play Freddy because he's a breeze to play as, ESPECIALLY with the right perks.

@TripleSteal RIP blalanced landing, it's the flattest map out there. I love when I randomly run it and then BOOM sheltered woods lmao

  • Hag, just the fact that you have to rely on urban evasion so you're not moving around like a snail makes me want to shoot myself.

  • You can't force someone to play a game they don't want to play. You think removing the "Leave" button or whatever will stop them? NEWSFLASH it's called Alt + f4 or suicides. DC penalties? People will literally quit. You need 4 survivors for 1 match. The more people quit the longer queues will get etc...

The thing is to address the issue that causes people to DC.

I personally HATE the killers you mentioned they literally nullify everything a survivor has to get ahead (Pallets and windows) you take that away the survivor might as well hand themselves over on sight.

And it's not a surprise the people don't like indoor maps I don't either.

I don't DC instantly but if I see that my other teammates don't know ######### they are doing then I'm getting myself out of there to get to the next match whether I have to suicide or DC. Sitting there playing a poor match is just a waste of time. Also I've had killers that DC because they see stacked bps so they think we're a toxic swf (Pre game chat exists), or they DC cause they don't like the map.

  • I don't usually care too much what a killer runs, but when they play the most broken killers (whatever you consider broken) and an Ebony Mori and/or broken add ons, THEN claim that they are good. Yean.. no.

You only need a couple of brain cells to get kills that way, calm down. I've played with some of these add ons and yeah they make things much easier. Even an Ivory Mori, being about to take out a survivor so quickly sets the game off balance so quickly.

Sure take your W but don't act like you bent over backwards to get it.

I don't know, why would someone go to such great trouble to hack extra tokens in when they could have (at least I would asume) stopped everyone from doing generators? Plus if she hooked everyone and everyone got unhooked then that would be 4 stacks. Even with one person dcing she still could have gotten that 5th stack.

You played against this person twice right? Did you not think they were cheating the first time or did you think capturing evidence of thier cheating would be pointless?

It kind of sounds like to me the game is just bugged like always coupled with things being so hetic that you possibly lost track of hooks.

I'm not saying it can't happen, but if people are going to hack, they wouldn't care about pretending to get stack, they would just 4k and move on in my opinion.

@NotTheodore That is why I said I tested it out because I played against her before. Also I don't even know how to record the game so I didn't think of it.

Another note, I do believe there are people that try to play normal but hack. I don't normally go around screaming that people hack I know how perks and add ons work I've been playing for years. I stayed the second match to make sure I was correct and even another person at the end game chat said the same things I said so clearly it wasn't just me.

The same thing just happened to me with typing out something and it not posting basically what I said was we don't have enough evidence or proof to say this person was cheating. What toxicmyers posted is great information on how to record gameplay. I'm not calling you a liar, just saying we don't have any information and this could all be a misunderstanding on your part.

@NotTheodore I get that you have to show video evidence but am I supposed to record every game I play?

Isn't there a way for devs to find out if there has been suspicious behavior?

In the years I've played I haven't submitted a report for hacking so idk how it works or if it even does anything.

  • @NotTheodore I typed a response but it didn't show up for some reason and I cba to write it up, long story short it didn't add up and i stayed the second match to make sure I wasn't dreaming stuff up.

Idk how to record the game I never have and I stayed to check her perks and add ons and it wasn't just me who thought it was off.

And yes I do believe there are people that hack and try to play it off as normal.

Did she mori you guys like at the beginning? Like match starts and you guys have been insta moried? Because if she went through the trouble to hook someone I would take the guess that she wasn't hacking. I don't know about what hacks can and can't do but I haven't heard of anything that gives you more stacks than you're allowed.

On her terror radius thing, there are perks that increase a killers terror radius, maybe she was running one of those and that increased her terror radius to the point where she was close enough to you to count you insde it. It could also just be a bug because if this person was able to give themselves stacks when they didn't deserve them and make their phasing sound silent, why wouldn't they also do things like teleport to you while not being in her walk? I don't know man, I think this might not be anything here.

@NotTheodore No she hooked us but we didn't even unhook 5 times (which is required for her to get 5 stacks of devour and mori) and I made sure I was NOT in her terror radius because it was my second game playing the same spirit so I tested it out.

I made sure I was not in the terror radius and started working on a hex totem (she had thrill) I raised the volume and made sure to keep an ear out for the phasing sound... nothing. Then BOOM I got grabbed off the totem and moried we didn't know we were even exposed because the guy that went on the hook wasn't 1 shot. Even if he was, she's needed another stack or 2 to be able to mori.

My steam profile filled with complains about me tunneling. But I never tunnel. At least not on purpose. Most of the time they blame me tunneling because they run into my face after hook and expect me to ignore them. Or they just don't see me chasing and hooking other survivors and only remember times when I chase them. Also it's rarely someone comment my profile when I play fair. I always play fair but it is normal, no need to talk about it. But when something gone wrong they write down everything they want. So this is not good idea to judge people by their profiles.

@kaeru Well it already happens, because the killer can see your steam profile and judge you based on the comments you get or if your profile is private.

Because every time you'd see a Doctor, you'd equip Calm Spirit or a Hag, etc.

I just wish you could at least see the player ID of the killer since they can see the survivors.

@judicar you clearly didn't read what I wrote lol
