It's awful tbh, it feel very lazy too. Why do they share body parts? 1 of them could've been a legendary skin or something.
-
Me, I just played a normal game and it reminded me how much I hate going against the same perks. Different killers similar builds, the game just feel stressful again lol
-
You and I both, I made a post about the same thing. It gets stale after a while and instead of fixing the game we keep getting pumped with chapters.
I'd rather get work done on the animations, hit boxes etc.. but we keep getting chapters with abysmal perks, on the surv side at least
-
I've been playing this game for ages now and to this day I am shocked at how survivors play. You don't have to be the best looper or whatever but have you damn priorities straight.
Like, it doesn't matter how many times you heal or screw around and hide, if the gens are not being done you are not getting out. Also people really underestimate how quick a match can do down hill. Just because you finished 4 gens that does not guarantee your escape. I notice people start messing around because they think they got it in the bag and boom someway somehow the killer kills us all lol.
These days I only play with my bf cause this unfortunate game is the only thing he knows to play, and most of the time I can predict the scenario or how the game is gonna end based on what my teammates are doing.
I really wish survivors had some more independence, you're too reliant on your teammates and lets be real most of the time they play worse than a bot. At least in F13 if the other counselors are stupid you can still get yourself out of there and leave their ass behind lol. -
As a survivor I would much rather play with bots sometimes lol. It's been 7 years of playing this game and people play like they don't have a head on their shoulders.

Take loops a little wide
If the Unknown is in a chase with someone and you see a hallucination always dispell it. They're much worse if you take their mobility away.
In chase they're not dissimilar from most ranged killers holding W while putting objects between you nullifies a lot of their power.
Look behind you for a second then look at where you're going and alternate. There's a linger effect on looking at them so you don't actually have to look at them all the time.
Tbh his projectiles are harder to dodge than the huntress the aoe is so big.

What? Ok... At this point I am questioning whether or not we speak the same language here. I said there is nothing interactive besides the chase. Doing gens is boring. Which is why that should not be the main focus. This is why I argued that tracking tools are a good thing.
I am flabberghasted. How did you read my comment and came to the conclusion that I thought gens were interactive? I said that they were boring and that it's the general consent (in the off chance you preferred doing gens over chase).
Freddy's teleport is real oppressive. It gives him so much chase power because he has it permanently and it's not telegraphed at all and you can choose freely where to teleport to. Oh, wait. None of that is actually the case.
Also, you just listed killers that can do a little more against Shift + W than a Trapper. So you actually need to engage in a chase with them, which again can only be a good thing because Shift + W isn't all that interactive either, is it?
Shack, 4 lane walls, trash pile gyms, jungle gyms, rock filler pallets, all but one pallets on The Game, GoJ's pallets (again all but one) are death traps? You should not drop the pallet on the same side as the killer in case you didn't know. And when you get mind gamed around these (close to impossible on quite a few of them), then isn't that your fault? It can't be all god pallets like the one next to Midwich's staircase, that guarantee you can never get hit.
That last part clearly shows you either didn't read (in that case tell me and we'll leave it at that) or we don't speak the same language. We already covered that and you didn't actually argue against any of my points in that regard.
Quite frankly I only skimmed through your reply.
I still stand by my point that surv gameplay is just boring. We can keep going back and for about this and nothing will change. You can talk about all the pallets on paper but when you're playing it's completely different. What is the point of a pallet when the loop is so short that the killer can just ignore it to go around and land a hit anyway? Or if they can literally hit you through a wall or a pallet? The only killers that would find pallets to be an issue are m1 killers and lets be real you don't see them often these days. And lets not get started about the crazy window and pallet hits that haven't been fixed to this very day.
Also keep your sarcasm to yourself because we all know that Freddy's kit is not just teleporting so try that again. It's clear you're just trying to be condescending so you do you.

I disagree that the game becomes boring for survivors. I prefer the killer role but playing survivor for me is pretty fun as well. 34 different killers mean, that I cannot tell what's going to happen before the match.
It could be a Nurse that dominates us, a Trapper that struggles with the basics or even a Hillbilly trying to curve. Against each of them, I play differently. Looping is still possible. It just isn't as straight forward as it used to be. Just because you are behind a rock doesn't mean you are completely safe. This is what makes M1 killers so weak in the first place.
Smaller maps and more tracking tools mean less time spent doing nothing. The general consent is that doing gens is pretty boring. But that's almost 50% of the survivor role. So it can only be a good thing, when the killer is constantly in chase with the survivors. This is the interactive part of the game. It's what makes the game so addictive. I'm not sure what other part of the survivor role is so enjoyable that you'd prefer it over interaction with the killer.
With that being said, a different game mode would be nice. I would like something completely unpredictable, random and fun. Perks could be randomised every 2 minutes, the killer could change after every hook and pallets could randomly change places.
I can tell you mostly play killer if you think doing generators is interactive. You think smaller maps and more tracking tools means less time doing nothing? Again more reason for me to think that you only play survivor once in a while. Most people get downed even faster and the game ends faster.
We have Freddy, Oni, Spirit, Onryo, etc etc who can literally teleport or sprint across a shrunken map. Most of the tiles with pallets are literal traps because weather you try to loop it or drop the pallet you're stuck in an animation and the killer gets a free hit no matter what you do.
Also just doing generators is not fun tbh, I personally don't find gen rushing fun. Why would I go into a match sit on gens the whole time and escape?...It's boring. I (and many others judging from the responses) need something that freshens the game it's not always about escaping or getting the 4k you have to enjoy the process otherwise what's the point? It would just feel like a chore or work.

I'm pretty sure a med kit can only fully heal you now if it has addons now
You are wrong.
it's way slower than before anyways considering you're wasting a whole item to heal yourself
How is it a waste when it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do? Self-healing is powerful, always has been, it's why Self-Care and CoH and medkits were nerfed in the first place. If it's easy, it's unbalanced.
Doesn't change the fact that med kits for nerfed. It's a waste because before even a brown met kit was decent and got the job done faster without addons. So yes to me it's a waste, I don't understand why they even touched med kits when sloppy butcher is a thing, plus countless other killer addons or perks that either make you broken or flat out expose you and 1 shot you.
You can nit pick the details but a nerf is a nerf.

Chases aren't as long as before? Of course they aren't. You're not supposed to be able to loop a killer for 5 minutes with no trouble. Because if you can do that, then what is to stop the next survivor from doing that as well?
This isn't really a strong argument. A killer doesn't have unlimited time in a match and you cannot expect BHVR to balance the game around 3 hooks per match. A killer already falls behind schedule when you can delay them for more than 45 seconds (easier on some killers than on others). So it's not surprising that the average chase doesn't take as long anymore.
Survivors don't need new objectives and there are 2 main reasons for that:
1) New players are already overwhelmed and can barely get a grasp on how to play the game.
2) Survivors in general hate side objectives. We have seen that with pretty much every new killer over the past 2 years.
The main complaints about these killers are always connected directly to their in-built side objectives. The funny thing is, that we've been asking the devs for these things.
But for the sake of this argument, what kind of second objective do you think would best be suitable and what would make it more fun than what we already have?
I know that chases were crazy back in the day, I played through it but now it went to another extreme we have killers that can hit through pallets, walls, teleport, rush. But survivors got boons... which are quite useless unless the killers is literally blind and cannot spot the totem. You can even see the blue particle in the air and that's a dead giveaway of the general location of the boon. Last game I played I could see the blue particles from across the Knight's map, then next thing I know that person's boon was gone and quite frankly boon cons outweigh the pros imo.
You clearly missed the part where I said the game needs new game modes. I did not say to change the BASE game but it would benefit from having variety and fun game modes that are not as serious.
As for game modes it literally could be anything, 2 killers 8 survs, lights out (that they are working on now), special in game power ups.. ANYTHING maybe new surv Items.
I am speaking from the POV of a survivor. As a killer you can easy switch killers to change things up but as a survivor they're ALL the same.
Also like I probably mentioned before I just play casually these days usually if a friend wants me to join them, I just wanted to voice my opinion as someone who's been playing since the early days.

There's so much wrong in just one paragraph (the fifth):
1.) Flashlights NERFED?? With the addition of the the buffer, it's the EASIEST it ever was to get a blind. Take Background player to the mix, and you can get a blind even from insane distances.
2.) Med kits were nerfed yes, but EVERY kit heals you once now. Equip some good add-ons, and you get two heals out of it. That's perfectly reasonable. Having a single med kit that can heal you up to 4 times with insane speed, THAT was broken!
3.) Toolboxes we're not changed AT ALL in the recent time! The last change to it was a BUFF to the charges! Commodious toolbox still holds extremely long, and with extra charges and perks like Built to Last or Scavenger, you can get value out of it the entire game. That 5s you mention does only apply to Engineers toolbox. And like I said, it's like this for AGES. Complaining about that fact now is so weird!
If you manage to put that much misinformation in just a single sentence, I cannot take your post serious at all.
I'm pretty sure a med kit can only fully heal you now if it has addons now and it's way slower than before anyways considering you're wasting a whole item to heal yourself it shouldn't be so slow considering the pace of the game is much faster these days.
Tell me how many times you see flashlight in your lobby and how many people even know how to land a blind? Also lightborn these days doesn't make it take longer to blind but it negates it completely.
My main point of the post was survivor game play and how stale it's been since the game inception.
Also you're just justifying using items with the help of perks and addons. Why waste so many resources to make something good?
You don't have to take my post serious I'm just a casual dbd player that has been playing for years. I just wanted to voice my POV on survivor gameplay knowing that nothing will change and to see if others feel the same.
And lastly My main point of the post was survivor game play and how stale it's been since the game inception. All a survivor can do is run and do gens which is fine but it gets old and that's why games have different game modes. But the devs are so fixated on making mediocre outfits that they forgot to keep the game fresh.

Lack of changes to the many, many useless items, add-ons and perks is another reason why the game feels so stale to me. I have SO many items in my inventory that will never get used.
I still do not know why green keys exist... why? Hell why is it even possible to find one in a chest? They are literally useless without wasting addons on them lol. Med kits have been nerfed into the ground and under.

Because progression through the ranks is your reward for pipping? same exact concept right there can be used for alot of popular games with multiplayer why does leveling up matter if you get nothing for it. Also if pips don't matter then why are you so concerned by 4k? You just get less points and don't pip it doesn't matter right
When was I concerned about a 4k? I just think 2k would be balanced.
I don't care about pipping I usually care about points or the quality of the match itself.

"using DS + Unbreakable, deadhard"
"outplay a killer in any way"
Oof.
Yes, outplay the killer in ANY way. Whether it's a perk or just juking. Killers will get upset because they believe that they should be OP cause it's a 4v1 game.
If the killer was even stronger there would be no hope for survivors escaping or doing well during the match for that matter. As a sruvivor you literally have NO way you fighting a killer besides pallets. Both sides have broken perks, if people complain about survivor perks there's many other killer perks that are just as annoying.
If you let someone run you around the entire game you just got outplayed and it was your fault for not switching to someone else. As I said earlier it has never been easier to play killer. Infinites are pretty much gone, double pallets are gone, maps with deadzones.
Answer this:
If you are the survivor and got into a chase, would you just run in a straight line and drop a pallet right away and waste it? OR Loop the killer because that's really the only thing you CAN do to buy your teammates time?
-

to be fair a 4k doesnt matter, but if you play very well in a match you deserve to get merciless killer and 2 pip. this wont always require a 4k so kills dont matter too much its just the emblem system gets a bit shaky in red rank. in my opinion 4k doesnt matter but getting a 2 pip after playing well does, which sometimes doesnt happen because of people getting 2 hooked or the last survivor who got hatch only got hooked once, issue isnt the 4k but they kinda push you to it to make sure you get your points
Why do pips matter? They're literally USELESS you get absolutely nothing for pipping. I still don't get why people even care about ranks it's not like you get a reward at the end of a season... NOTHING.

Most killers will accept a 3 man as a win, because it is. They accomplished more of their objective than survivors did.
As for "giving an inch, taking a mile"...clearly you have very little experience playing killer. Don't pose and act like you do, cause with that kind of attitude, you'd be lying. Straight up.
It's KILLERS who are expected to not run X build, not use X tactic, not do this, not do that, to make sure SURVIVORS have fun. Then survivors t-bag at the exit gate because they think they outplayed the killer, when in reality, the killer, to be nice, didn't slug everyone at 5 gens and tunnel someone out of the game, when they usually, EASILY, could have. THAT is giving an inch, and taking a mile, and more times than not, it's survivors taking the mile.
Yeah sure, only killers are told not to run X build and all, because there aren't a million posts on here complaining about survivor meta builds and using DS + Unbreakable, deadhard, Borrowed time and the list goes on.
God forbid a survivor tries to adapt, counter or outplay a killer in any way because it automatically becomes OP.
As someone else said a lot of killers want a 4k and a pip that's the only way they believe that they've won. But if killers get easy 4k everytime what does that leave for the survivor? You just going into a match you know you're gonna lose so what is the point?

That last paragraph - is why I call them "fixes" and not "nerfs". To me, a nerf is something that was a bit too much, and was cut down to size. A fix, like literally everything that has been nerfed on the survivor side to data, are things that were completely broken, and were corrected.
Did you even read what you wrote? lol. You're telling me waiting 16 seconds after using a syringe is NOT a nerf from when it was instant? I have no idea where you're going with this "Fixed" thing. They are clearly nerfs and as I said the only fix was the vacuum pallets.

I never complained that the changes were made. I simply stated that it happened and that survivor didn't ######### about it as much as killer mains would if a killer/add/offering on was to get nerfed. That was the whole point of the post. You scroll through the forums and 7/10 you'll see killer mains complaining about everything.
It has never been this easy to play killer and yet new killer mains just want things to keep getting easier and easier lol.

No, they were fixes. Something that is actually broken and game breaking being fixed isn't a nerf, it's a fix. I'm not saying that kind of stuff doesn't and hasn't existed on the killer side. Prayer beads spirit? That was broken. ORIGINAL forever Freddy? Broken. Deathslingers lack of counterplay? Broken.
And yes, I am saying Ruin/Undying isn't busted. Strong? Yes, busted? No. Because I'm not a boosted survivor who replies on crutches, and therefore have no problem running the actual counters (perks, items/addons) that make ruin/undying disappear within the first minute of the game. Distortion exists. As does Off the Record if you want to go that route. The only thing broken is your inability to understand this instead of blaming perks.
The average survivor meta is far more powerful than ruin/undying, and has been around FAR longer, unchanged, than ruin/undying. The issue is, now that killers have something, survivors are just like "whaaaa my fun whaaaa my fun". When did you guys take killer fun into consideration when running your busted meta?
Spoiler: You didn't.
And thus the circle continues - only survivor crutches are deemed okay. Anything that helps the killer win though? OMG BUSTED HERUDURUDUR.
No, they were nerfs.
Calling something broken means it's op not ACTUALLY broken as in bugged, so no they weren't fixes. They nerfed those things into the ground.
I would only call the vacuum pallets a fix because it looked weird when you character teleports to the other side.
-
@JimbusCrimbus said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/215375/killers-crying
The difference is, the majority of things that get "nerfed" on the survivor side are actually balance fixes. Literally everything you mentioned qualifies. You can't call it a nerf. It's fixing a mistake.
Meanwhile, survivors on the other hand are demanding a nerf to Ruin/Undying - a perk combo that, if survivors would run the perks/items that counter it instead of insisting on running their busted meta, would actually be pretty garbage.
No those were nerfs, I would only count vacuum pallets as a fix.
Also are you saying ruin/undying is not busted?
Not only do you have 5 security cameras around the map (sometimes you run by a totem that you didn't even know was there and it will make you shine bright red for 5 seconds lol) but if the other hex got broken it transfers to another totem, which can be very hard to find especially in indoor maps.

He has a point, it went from vacuum pallets to getting bs hits THROUGH pallets no matter how fast your internet is. 100% of the time the hit favour the killer, I've been hit through pallets/windows and my body drops 6ft away from it and my internet is fast so you would think the hit would be in my favour.

My point?
Isnt that obvious? We killer mains get destroyed by survivors all the time! There is no way we can win in this game. The game is so unfair. 75% killrate on average is clearly way to less! We want 100%. Minimum.
Are you on crack? lol. So basically you want an easy game where you always get 4ks. 2 kills is balanced where the both the killer and survivors get a decent amount of points.

Insta Heals aren't gone, at all. Styptic Agent is the same thing. And you can't tell me if used mid chase that the killer waits it out more often than not.
Vacuum pallets were ok?
And "key getting rework, soon" -- I guess 6+ months is soon to you, meanwhile they have zero counter.. seems legit.
Quote where I "defended" insta gens. I simply talking about changes that happened to survivors I even said they weren't balanced while replying to someone. It took YEARS to nerf moris all they had to do was chance it to last hook which I'm pretty sure it's not hard to do but they waited this long.
Again, I don't care about keys. You don't know it will take 6 months so why make up a timeline? They could remove the key from the game for all I care and if they did I doubt many people would complain except for the super toxic swf cause in my experience I barely see it and EVEN when I play swf we don't use keys.
I need the devs to come up with swf stats and what items they use then we'll see how common keys actually are.

Because they ARE always playing vs SWF sweat squads. Because you can not get kills in red ranks and you get bullied all the time. Let me back up my argument with the following graphic.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QLF638UGWU5Y/ballanced12.jpg
Funny how when a survivor uses this, killers go "But that is not accurate" and whatnot.
Also 57% means that at least 2 people die which seems balanced to me. So I do not know what point you're trying to make here.
People just haven't been playing nurse as much but that doesn't make her bad.

Billy nerf and bugged, nurse nerfed and hella bugged, PH bugged and more annoying, moris nerfed.
Remember when instas were getting nerfed and they told the community? Remember every game that killers had to play against 4 insta heals? I do.
I feel like they will also let people know about keys.
Old bnp oh you mean the insta gen? Fair and balanced.
Balanced landing nerf? Oh you mean the perk that made haddonfield more annoying?
What else did survivors lost? Infinites?
Remember that Billy was one if not the most fun and balanced killer (except crack and insta saw) now rarely you see billies and I personally rarely play him since for some reason after the animation change I hit more walls than I hit people since I can't curve normally anymore.
And going from what you said, keys are not unfair or anything? They are fair and balanced?
That's why they didn't tell killers that moris were gonna be nerfed cause everyone would use them.
Also I never claimed these things were fair, and I personally do not care about key I never use them unless a challenge requires me to.
Also not only did they nerf balanced landing they also added a sound for when you're dropping which is only muffled when you're not exhausted (make it make sense).
And bugs, everything is bugged all the time. I just had a jake puke constantly against a plague while fixing a gen and he wasn't even in the broken state. Bugs are everywhere.

People complain because they nerfed Mori's without nerfing Keys. I think that's kinda justified to an extent.
I've also seen ones that say they shouldn't have been nerfed at all. I get the frustration of not knowing when keys will be reworked but let's be real how many times do you see a purple/pink key in your lobby?
When I play killer I barely see it and even when I do, I don't sweat too hard it's whatever.
As a survivor I barely see my teammates carrying a key and I myself don't care for them so I don't use them.

Nurse and Billy rework were buffs? Are you for real?
If one side is getting constant nerfs. Maybe, just maybe they are still the stronger role?
Don't act like they got nerfed into the ground they are both still very viable.
I've used billy and tbh I could barely notice a difference. Nurse on the other hand I never cared for but she's still strong, god forbit you have to wait a couple of second before you can blink for a second time. Remember when nurse could blink up to 4 time or so. Good times

The million threads with people complaining about freddy, deathslinger, spirit, pyramid head, noed etc. say otherwise
Both sides complain all the time
Of course both sides complain, but who's actually getting the constant nerfs?
All I'm seeing lately is killer getting reworks (buffs). Freed went from being the weakest killer (I thought he was still fun to play as) to being 1 of the strongest. Pop got nerfed and then reverted and so did discordance lol so I don't get why killers complain so much tbh and I play both sides but slighter higher rank on survivor since i play it more.

Bait. IF you loop really well, then what are you complaining about?
What does looping have to do with anything? I'm talking about how killers complain way more than survivors.

Am I to assume that you thought all of these things were balanced?
Because they weren't.
They weren't but the amount of killers that ######### about things vs survivors is way higher imo.
Take mori's for example, they used to be an insta kill back in the day. Now that they got nerfed all I see is complaining over and over.

Lol no.
The new survivors are literally what's keeping me playing this game, I don't care if they're skins or not and I'm always looking forward to what clothes they come out with.
It's not about "How many X mains are out there?" I alternate characters all the time and try to max out the ones I like.
Also:
No more survivors = less options to choose from
less options to choose from = less cosmetic options
less cosmetic options = less money coming in

I personally still find it weird how it's referred to "crushing Victor", but you definitely don't do any crushing.
He also just melts on the spot, while that kick seems like he should be flung a few meters.
I like the animation of him melting, but the initiation makes it feel misplaced.
I know right? I wish it said "Kick Victor" instead. I'd love to see him go flying lmao

The implication is that stomping a Hex Totem is not the proper way to remove a curse.
"But then why do they take so long on Dull Totems?"
If you were to ask me that next: You got me there, i got no lore idea for why that's the case, but gameplay-wise it probably just made sense to make it similar.
As for why kicking Victor is much faster: He regenerates?
I can't look in the devs' minds, but that's all i can think of.
Both kinds of Totems are permanently gone, Vic respawns in less than a full Totem cleanse.
It would make sense to make kicking him really short, considering he moves really fast.
I just thought it was funny how you can kick a little demon spawn in 2 secs and spend 15secs (Not sure exactly how long) on a dull totem lmao.

It already is on other characters it's just harder to see, look at adam it's easier to tell with him
You're right I forgot that he has blood on his hair. I guess they just got lazy with Elodie since she has more hair :(

@BigBrainMegMain said:
Because....blood turns dark brown when it's dry.
And...hair is dark brown...so.....
It's, like.....normal.
Except the blood is not dry if you look at it it's kinda glossy. Also her hair is really not that dark it's a medium Brown.

@chieften333 said:
You wouldn't be able to see the blood anyway on people with darker hair.
It would just be wasted effort putting blood in the hair when people can hardly see it.
Oh no you can see it, and the blood doesn't look dry, if it was it wouldn't look glossy. You can see it on Adam's hair so why not Elodie who has way more hair?

about every match i go up against a ds wielding survivor and they get unhooked and when i find them again i see them run into a locker when they are full health???!!! tells me they got ds and at that point i wish i was as trapper so that I can just place a trap right infront of the locker so they have to step in it hehehehe This is also after I chased their unhooker and not them, they got healed up and did what ever.
you know your argument about 1 minute not being very long except when you're being chased by the killer.... if that's the case WHY did they use that reasoning to remove 15 seconds from pop goes the weasel? hmmm looks like it's too long to have it stay at 1 minute, perhaps lets reduce each tier by 15 seconds.... maybe tier 1 is only 20 seconds long since 1 minute is tooo long. sarcasm aside, you are correct when the gates are powered and the killer has to keep people on hooks it is a very long time, and egc is 2 minutes long, that's 1/2 the time of egc.... enough to get across red forest, get to the gate and get it open or crawl out an open gate while slugged. it's really in need of tweaking, not a nerf but tweaking so that it can be dealt with and no longer be the only perk without some sort of counter play.
I don't quite understand what you were trying to say.
I don't know the reason why they took some time off of Pop but tbh you can still kick a gen even with the time reduction.
Also you're saying that the unhooked survivor has time to heal when you chase the person unhooking. What do you expect them to do? Stay injured? I don't get what point you're trying to make lol.
There's no reason to go back to the hook after every unhook especially since BBQ is a thing, Thrilling Tremors (If i got the right name sometimes I mix it up). There's so many perks available that help you find other survivors that you don't even need to go back to the hook. You can find someone new and keep the ball rolling.

you do realize that survivors have a secondary objective and it has been stated by the devs if that secondary objective is not taken care of noed is all on the survivors? well the same is said here... if you don't take ruin and undying out well you're screwed unless you stay on those gens. and you're saying that survivors can't do a secondary objective? wow apparently you are unable to keep track of 5 totems and 5 gens at the same time? killers keep track of 4 survivors and 5 gens. and the survivors are already moving and killers keep track of them quite well. something I do at the begining of every match I find a gen start working, see if ruin is in play if not great if so i keep an eye on totems.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1797246#Comment_1797246
most killers really expect it if they are picking up right after unhook down again. but they don't expect it when they come across the person later after chasing others and doing other things. the devs said that it was the fact that killers had too much time to do other things for the reason behind pop's time reduction, however ds was not even talked about as that one minute is 3/4ths of a gen on your own of safety with tier 3 ds. don't get me wrong, DS is a good perk but so many use it incorrectly by shielding their unhookers, harrassing the killer just to get the ds in, this is what I call the weaponization of the perk. jumping into lockers to force the ds hoping the killer was about to attack and be right at the locker for it. this is such a good way to get the killer to die laughing as if they are a trapper they'll just set a trap outside the locker! hehehhee
But here's the thing, there will ALWAYS be people that will find some type of loop hole that's just the way it is. There will always be people that will find some way to abuse a certain perk and you can't just base changes on those people because if we're being real i've only had a handful of people jump into lockers.
Now from when I'm playing survivor the timer is usually finished before the killer sees me again. 1minute is really not that long especially if someone else kept the killer busy. It's only long when it comes to end game and you need to hook people to keep survivors from leaving.
