    I second this opinion.

Bubba being able to down more than one SURV in one chainsaw sweep has always been a HUGE problem in my opinion.

It should bebase kit maxed at 1, with some kind of add-on upping it to 2.

This would fix the hook camping issue with Bubba.

I disagree. It's not like it's a guaranty that Bubba will get more than 1 or 2 downs if survivors make smart decisions. If 2 or 3 survivors go down into the basement to unhook 1 survivor, why should we expect that Bubba to not get 3 downs?

The problem survivors (like myself for the longest time) have with Bubba is not knowing when to save and when not to save. Not knowing where to be and how to properly avoid being chainsawed.

It's like Nurse or Spirit in the sense that we make poor decisions because we maybe don't know how their power works. Once you learn how Nurse teleports and how to spot an opportunity to force a bad teleport, you're able to avoid the majority of her attacks with being able to mind game on the same level as the killer.

We don't like Bubba because we don't know how to avoid his chainsaw. I use to hate Billy because I was crappy at avoiding his dash and now that I know how it works, I'm more than confident that I can avoid the majority of things from Billy.

This can be true with Bubba as well. He isn't suppose to be an easy killer to avoid, just like he isn't suppose to be an easy killer to get kills with, but if you understand what he can and can't do, you can play around those issues.

No it boils down to becareful what you ask for and op isn't complaing he's simply expressing is lack of understanding on why a survivor who's name asked for a mori would get upset that they got morried.

It isn't bad you misunderstood the post, it is bad that you think that this post doesn't matter since this forum is a place where people can share their thoughts and feelings

Honestly this post boils down to "Omg a killer morried a survivor I'm so angry"

OP's first sentence is "Why would you make your name something that encourages the killer to bring a mori then cry about it after." To complain is to "express dissatisfaction or annoyance about something." I don't think OP is expressing satisfaction with people who have "Mori me" in their name so by definition they're complaining.

Which isn't a bad thing. Everyone is allowed complain about whatever they want, like I am allowed to complain about OP complaining.

I will say I shouldn't have said it doesn't matters, because people CAN share their thoughts and opinions on things. I just think this one was a bad take.

I don't think survivors should be penalized because of the name they choose to use (UNLESS that name is something ban worthy), it's like saying those who have ttv in their name shouldn't be surprised when killers or survivors stream snipe them when they're live. "If they didn't want killers or survivors to stream snipe them, they shouldn't put it in their name!"

It's an excuse we use to justify something that would in other words or situations be considered unjustifiable.

Actually had a game like that a couple of days ago. I had a survivor with a name kinda like that and he showed me rocks that you could climb on Yamaoka estate. Everyone else joined in and we had a rock climbing party.

Good on you! I'll give you mad props for that. Plus now I know you can climb rocks on Yamaoka Estate so I think I'm winning here.

But seriously, at least you're consistent. If you're consistently mori-ing those with "mori me" and consistently letting those with "let me go" in their names, I have no issues with this.

I'm not judging things, but having this happen in about every other match I really have to ask: Who thought that a good idea?

I've never seen it with Billy, but with Bubba it's a regular occurrence that he'll chainsaw into a group of survivors (upon unhooking or healing) and insta down everyone within a certain radius.

I've seen groups of 2 and 3 go down, and heard tales of all survivors falling in one attack.

How is that not a broken mechanic? His attacks cooldown is irrelevant if no one can run anymore.

Survivors who bunch up are asking for it if they are going up against a Bubba. Even a Billy. The common practice is to heal right under the hook. Why would someone not go back to the hook for a quick two downs because the survivors decided to heal right there? I can see how it's frustrating and when it happens to me I am pissed, but I can't look at this and say "YEAH HOW DARE HE... USE HIS POWER!"

Why would you make your name something that encourages the killer to bring a mori then cry about it after. Had a game where something like this where someone's named asked for a mori and I brought a green one. After I moried him his friend immediately disconnects so I felt bad for the other two survivors and let them escape. Just don't ask for things you don't want

So if someone had "Let me live" or "Don't hook me/Don't hit me" you would give them what they wanted? My guess would be no because that would be going against what the objective of the game is for you. It isn't bad that you mori'd them, it's bad that you mori'd them and complained here about their name on this forum like it matters or is some sort of badge of justification.

This post boils down to "Lol I mori'd someone who had "mori me" as their name, I'm so quirky."

I just cant stand the level of toxicity in this community anymore. I should not have to block messages from all people because I get too much hate mail. I should not be getting threats of being banned from PS4 network simply because I want to be nice every once and a while and let new players win so that they actually enjoy the game and want to engage in it further. I hate when I am the killer, people crouch rapidly to indicate a "teabag" meaning you're a trash killer, get off this game.

I really, really loved playing this game as Horror is one of my all time favorite genres but enough is enough. There's only so much abuse one can take. I'm sure I'll receive the same amount of hate in this post as I get in-game after I post it.

You guys have fun. I hope you continue to love this game as I once did. Peace be with you.

This kind of sounds like the customers who don't get what they want so they scream "I'm never shopping here again!" or "This place will never get my money!"

  • In any other game, regardless of developer, exploits are bannable. It isn't about the developers being lazy, it's about players not taking advantage of something to gain an unfair edge over others. It doesn't matter if the devs are currently working on it or not.

Imagine playing the game as X role and the counter role to that had some sort of exploit that caused you to not be able to play, I imagine you wouldn't be so happy with such an exploit being taken advantage of would you?

Not to mention, bugs aren't as easy to fix as you may think. It takes time, sometimes a LOT of time to work out what causes an issue and how to fix it. Sometimes patching one bug causes another. Sometimes patching the bug causes the bug to become worse. Sometimes patching another bug causes a previously patched bug to become broken again. We can't expect a dev team to instantly fix all bugs because some select few players would like to exploit the bugs.

Agreeing to the EULA means you read it and understand that using exploits will result in a ban. It isn't because the devs are lazy, but because while they're working on the bug/exploit in question they don't want anyone using it. All this post does is put a target on your head, marking you as a potential exploiter to the devs.

  • 60 seconds is not that long when you put it in perspective that uhooked survivors will A) Run as far away from you as possible B) Heal themselves and C) Work on generators/Chests/totems ect. If you hook a survivor and they get unhooked and you're already chasing someone else you have to factor in the time it takes to down that survivor, hook that survivor, find the DS survivor, and down that DS survivor. At that point all you would need to do is wait out the timer and pick them up like normal. Ds's timer begins as soon as that survivor is unhooked if you just chase them for 60 seconds or leave them on the ground for 60 seconds and you're good to pick them up and hook them like normal.

    "But Unbreakable!!!!"

Right, here's two easy counters to unbreakable. First, you could wait out that timer (which would be longer than whatever DS would have left unless you instantly downed them from the hook which would be crappy to do), wait for them to pop it and down them again or you could just pick them up. Contrary to popular belief, you're only stunned for 5 seconds and can go right back to chasing, downing and killing that survivor. The amount of times I've actually been able to use DS in such a way that I didn't end up dying could be counted on both my hands.

"But I lost because of DS!!"

While survivors don't deserve to escape, killers equally don't deserve to get kills. You being upset because someone used a perk to do their primary objective is like survivors complaining that a killer picking up someone and placing them on the hook.

  • I hope someone bms just like that to me

And yes I do believe there are people that hack and try to play it off as normal.

Considering all the information, it just makes sense that something bugged within the game in regards to the phasing sounds and you might not have counted all the hooks.

While I'm positive players hack and try to play normal, like I mentioned above already, all of the hackers I've interacted with and all of the hacker videos show them flaunting their abilities to hack.

There are so many faster ways to hack and still play like normal and if they're hacking in such a way that they gave themselves more tokens they're jumping through a myriad of hoops for no reason at all.

IF you had said they moried after downing all survivors before the first hook then you would have a solid case.

IF you had video of this so we could judge for ourselves then maybe but since there are so many things about this that we don't know and since it's more than possible that she could have gotten 5 stacks of devour it doesn't seem likely that she was hacking even with you playing 2 games against her. Which by the way, is really difficult to do. Not impossible, but very difficult.

Unless you're saying the game didn't bug out once (which is unlikely to all hell) then there's a possibility that this can be explained.

@NotTheodore No she hooked us but we didn't even unhook 5 times (which is required for her to get 5 stacks of devour and mori) and I made sure I was NOT in her terror radius because it was my second game playing the same spirit so I tested it out.

I made sure I was not in the terror radius and started working on a hex totem (she had thrill) I raised the volume and made sure to keep an ear out for the phasing sound... nothing. Then BOOM I got grabbed off the totem and moried we didn't know we were even exposed because the guy that went on the hook wasn't 1 shot. Even if he was, she's needed another stack or 2 to be able to mori.

I don't know, why would someone go to such great trouble to hack extra tokens in when they could have (at least I would asume) stopped everyone from doing generators? Plus if she hooked everyone and everyone got unhooked then that would be 4 stacks. Even with one person dcing she still could have gotten that 5th stack.

You played against this person twice right? Did you not think they were cheating the first time or did you think capturing evidence of thier cheating would be pointless?

It kind of sounds like to me the game is just bugged like always coupled with things being so hetic that you possibly lost track of hooks.

I'm not saying it can't happen, but if people are going to hack, they wouldn't care about pretending to get stack, they would just 4k and move on in my opinion.

  • This isn't that broken of a combo really. It only works, and i mean ONLY works if survivors completely ignore the 5 totems around the map. Considering the meta has been changed slightly with the addition of undying, very rarely can I attribute a loss to undying, ruin and tinkerers. It is good, I will say that but it isn't broken. Especially since it's easy to counter just by doing the bones and hoping you get undying first. If the game starts and two survivors find two active totems immediately (which happens really often), you already know one of them will be undying. You can't exactly down both survivors and stop both totems from breaking totems now can you?

  • Did she mori you guys like at the beginning? Like match starts and you guys have been insta moried? Because if she went through the trouble to hook someone I would take the guess that she wasn't hacking. I don't know about what hacks can and can't do but I haven't heard of anything that gives you more stacks than you're allowed.

On her terror radius thing, there are perks that increase a killers terror radius, maybe she was running one of those and that increased her terror radius to the point where she was close enough to you to count you insde it. It could also just be a bug because if this person was able to give themselves stacks when they didn't deserve them and make their phasing sound silent, why wouldn't they also do things like teleport to you while not being in her walk? I don't know man, I think this might not be anything here.

Before I state my issue, let me clarify what I mean by "excessive survivor hiding". When I say "excessive survivor hiding", I do not mean survivors with stealthy playstyles. When I say this I'm referring to survivors which:

    1. Don't work on generators.
    2. Spend entire games hiding behind rocks and in lockers.
    3. Generally waste everyone's time.

Alright, with that out of the way, here's why its a problem, and how I would go about fixing it.

This is a problem because, as killer, I've played games which have lasted upwards of half an hour (simply because I couldn't find anyone). This is largely due to stagnant survivors hiding in lockers for minutes on end. Behavior HAS put measures in place to help prevent this from happening, but they nearly aren't effective enough to have an effect on this playstyle.

For example, one measure Behavior did put in place was to add stillness crows (for those who don't know, stillness crows are crows which fly around players camping in one position. These crows cause noise in a radius of increasing size as time passes, eventually plateauing at a maximum size*), However, these crows are largely ineffective because the killer has to be within close proximity to the player to hear them. This means that if a player is camping opposite all of the generators, the only way for the killer to even have a chance of finding them is by leaving their patrol route, potentially throwing the game.

An example of how I might go about fixing it is as follows:

Beginning a minute into the round (to prevent divine intervention from becoming OP), a 2 minute countdown timer starts (visible only to the survivors). This timer is paused anytime someone is working on a generator and only ticks down when all generators are abandoned. The completion of a generator will reset the timer. If the timer hits zero, the entity becomes enraged. While the entity is enraged, all survivors who aren't actively working on generators will have their auras revealed. The entities enragement doesn't end until another generator is repaired (resetting the timer to two minutes).

I think this would be a good change because not only does it curb survivor camping, but prevents killers from camping hooks as well (in order to run down the timer). While you could buff the survivor class to help compensate for this change, seeing as DBD is generally survivor sided, I don't think it would really be necessary.

My idea is likely flawed, but I wanted to give an idea of how one might go about fixing this issue in a more nuanced way as opposed to implementing a hard deadline, (ie. 15 minute timer, when it's up, you lose) which I've seen floating around in numerous killer forums. I wrote this more to get the conversation started, rather than to suggest a working fix. I understand that DBD has a high learning curve for new players, but I think the trade off of addressing this issue would be worth it.

*Unsure of what this is, but it's relatively small.

I understand the frustration that can be had from that kind of behavior, however lets step back a bit and understand what this would do for the game. First, it would punish survivors heavily for putting themselves in a 3 gen situation while praising killers for just patrolling. Another thing it would do is force survivors to make decisions they may not have made and will heavily hurt survivors who are new and don't know better. It would do almost as much for camping as bt does, which is pretty much nothing. In my opinion, it would only encourage killers to run builds designed to force players to do nothing. This game is definitely survivor sided in certain situations, but in this regard survivors not doing generators will only help the killer. Games with no one working on generators will only ensure that 1 person escapes or no one escapes.

I would love to stop people from being useless for the entire match, but I don't think a timer will do that nor do I believe people should not be punished for giving the killer an advantage.

  • This assumes that all swfs will win no matter what which isn't true. I play in a swf group that pretty damn good, and out of the 10 games we play a day, we'll maybe win 2 or 3 of them if we're lucky. While I'm sure this isn't the case for every swf, what this does highlight is that just because you're going up against a swf doesn't mean you automatically lose. Being able to avoid a swf would be equivalent to survivors being able to tell the game "Don't put me in lobbies with x killer."

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1541590#Comment_1541590

Fair questions. No I do not know how many PC cheaters I've come across nor do I have any video confirming it. That's the thing about cheaters. They very rarely come forward and announce they've been cheating. There are a myriad of ways to cheat in DBD or any video game really on PC that are not available to console players. Many of which are not distinguishable to the players being cheated. For example, players on PC can easily change their resolution to stretch the screen giving them a "fish eye" perspective. This allows them to see things at different angles they shouldn't be able to see. There is no way I can tell if another player is doing that while I'm in game. It would just appear from my perspective that they have a supernatural ability to notice things.

But I do know it happens because I've seen posts on these very forums confirming it. I've also seen posts and youtube videos talking about ways to enhance the graphics on PC in a way to make the killer's red stain far more noticeable. Which gives a clear advantage when running away from the killer. I've also seen posts and video showing how killers on PC can disable fog effects and increase their vision range allowing them to see survivors across the map. I've also seen posts showing how survivors on PC are able to see which killer is being selected in the lobby so they can switch their perks around or pick and choose their killers. While I have no doubt that it is indeed possible to cheat on consoles I also know it is infinitely easier and more common to cheat on PC.

Cheating aside, none of that even begins to address the basic imbalance of non cheaters on PC vs consoles. This game is absolutely not optimized to console play. FPS drops even on PS4 pro are common. Not to mention the difference in audio. I do have a DBD account on my PC. So I've seen the difference first hand. It is insanely easy to track survivors via audio on PC compared to console. Not to mention the difference in accuracy of a controller vs a keyboard and mouse when playing killers like nurse. Even players on PC that aren't cheating via 3rd party programs, tweaking their graphics card settings, etc are still effectively cheating vs console players by the simple difference in hardware game performance and lack of optimization on console.

    cheating

You encountered at least 1 cheater in DBD and instead of talking about that cheater you decide to talk about ways that players can cheat that others can't detect? You're correct, cheaters rarely come forward to announce they're cheating, and yes there are many ways to cheat on PC but just because cheaters are secretive and just because you can cheat doesn't mean players from different platform are automatically cheaters. Nor does using a stretched resolution make someone a cheater, but like you've said there isn't even a way for you to tell if their resolution is different in game. We can't label players as cheaters just because you have a suspicion, else players who can spot things very easily would be banned left and right.

    Forum Hearsay

Lets talk about the forums. In short, there are a ton of people claiming that they encountered PC cheaters after Crossplay was enabled, but the problem I have with this is that they, like you have no way of knowing where that player is from. Nor do they ever have any video evidence of this. For every person who says they encountered a PC Cheater, you'll find a PC player talking about how rare it is to run into a cheater on their own platform. I don't doubt cheating is happening, but at this scale? So fast? Not likely. Not likely at all.

    Enhanced Graphics

What I don't get at all is that you're going on about how PC players can cheat again as if that's proof that cheating has been taking place in your games or in any games since crossplay has been enabled. News flash, most gamers regardless of platform are not cheaters. Players on pc don't go to such great lengths to disable fog because it isn't even an issue at max fog offerings. Not to mention if we want to see the killer's red stain better, we play on the lowest settings as that allows us to see the red stain through walls. We don't need to alter config files or enhance graphics, nor do we waste time doing so. Should you classify options being offered by the devs as cheating? No, that's absolutely insane. Could we do what you're suggesting? Yes, would we? Probably not.

    differences in audio

Despite all of your examples of cheating not displaying any cheating, lets put it aside and talk about the basic imbalance. While I will agree that this game is not optimized for console play, what I think you miss is the simple fact that this game is not optimized in any version. Yes, the PC version is a buggy mess just like the console version, but here's where we disagree again because saying something like the "difference in audio" is just downright a lie. The game sounds exactly the same no matter which version you play, the difference comes from the headset you use to listen to the game, not the game itself. You cannot 'track survivors via audio' any different on PC than console. Unless you have something to say otherwise, I don't know why you're trying to pull lies out of thin air. You do have a point with FPS drops, but that's something I can say happens on PC too so we aren't immune from it, nor did we cause it. You should be complaining to the devs about that considering it isn't Pc players fault you're having issues, just like it isn't your fault we experience any issues.

    Keyboard or controller

Now we get to the final part and wow so many things wrong with this that I can't even imagine you believe what you're saying. First basically what you're saying is "Even if PC players aren't cheating, they're still cheating." While a keyboard and mouse is more accurate, you're greatly overestimating how much of an advantage that gives the every day player. But alright, even if we aren't using cheats, we're effectively cheating vs console players by the simple difference in hardware? You realize this doesn't make any sense and falls apart instantly when you realize there are three different version of the Xbox One and Playstation 4. Or does hardware differences not count when talking about consoles because of inherent hatred for a platform. Regardless to all of that it doesn't matter if I have a GTX 2060/ Ryzen 3600x or a RX580/Ryzen 2600g, my Meg is only going to move as fast as anyone elses Meg and that goes true for any of the killers too. Hardware is important, but it doesn't give anyone an advantage in this game so I don't understand how you can call everyone a cheater just because we play on a different platform.

So you'd waste time doing literally nothing? That's perfect. That's good perk value. If a killer is that dumb and that dedicated, then the perk has served its purpose.

By the way, you'd also have to follow that survivor around, they're clearly not gonna start working on a gen 10 feet away from you, and, since the OP references ScottJund, he proposed it'd have a 30 second timer that never goes down while chasing, so the survivor could watch you following them like a lost puppy so you could "tunnel" them and keep you in chase, wasting even more precious time.

That would be insanely good perk value, and only an idiot would continue to follow the survivor. And only an idiot would sit there and wait the timer out instead of actually doing something productive. And when, if you happen to see that survivor again later on, you can be reasonably sure that they no longer have DS because they would've obviously worked on a gen or something. Or maybe they didn't and they're mind gaming you. Even better! Counterplay, mind games! The things the game is about!

I dunno man, your argument seems weaker and weaker to me the more I think about this kind of change.

A). What killers do now is wait out the DS timer, which means after they down a survivor they leave them on the ground for the duration of DS in order to counter it, what they're literally doing is wasting time which I have done and have had done to me several times within the past month alone.

B). The game won't consider a survivor in a chase unless they are within the terror radius of the killer and running, if the killer has no terror radius (i.e. being undetectable like with the Pig's crouch ect) then a chase will never activate and thus the timer would go down. Not to mention a killer like wraith is completely invisible while standing still and cloaked. Really there are tons of ways to create a situation where survivors cannot get into a chase with you thus there are tons of ways that DS timer would falsely deplete.

C). "Only an idiot would continue to follow the survivor" What do you think the killer's job is? If I believe a survivor has that version of DS, only an idiot would try to not play around it. If you think wasting 30 seconds is stupid, how stupid are killers now that waste 60 seconds playing around a not good perk? I don't think you thought that though considering all of those things you list as perks to this change can be and still are appliable to the current version of DS.

A weak argument is one that doesn't hold up. Just calling what I'm saying dumb doesn't point out how it doesn't work out.

We see here all the survivors saying that it's just because people want to "tunnel," ignoring the part where this change would completely annihilate tunneling. Ah, I'm sure it's not because the perk is super strong or anything. Nah, it's not one of the most picked perks because it's strong, it's not even that good! It's just to protect them from tunneling. Yeah, that's it. All four players are just getting so tunneled every match.

    Mmhm.

This change would not do anything for tunneling. If this change would happen, I would probably just wait a few more seconds to trick survivors into thinking they're safe so I can safely resume tunneling? This change does not do anything for tunneling.

Just turn off crossplay. I did. The queue times really aren't that bad and the more people that do the lower they will get. My wait times were around 2 minutes or so. That's worth it to not to have to play with the PC cheaters or extra lag.

    Three questions if you will:

    A) How many "PC Cheaters" have you gone up against?

    B) How do you know these cheaters are from the PC side? Keep in mind as of right now you can only tell someone is either not from your platform or from your platform by the globe icon.

and C) Did you happen to record any of the games that involved these cheaters?

Look. I'll start this by saying: DS is a really good anti-tunnel perk (and I know that the Devs never said it was its function) as BT is a great anti-tunnel perk.

Now that's over, WHY, WHY in the heavens the devs doesn't say NOTHING about all the complaints (and proofs) that DS is a broken perk in its current status?

Hell, there's almost a consensus (when you play both sides) that 1 minute of immortality and "do whatever you want as long as the perk is active" is utterly BS.

And a really good solution has been brought by Scott Jund (and many other players). Give DS any duration you want. Hell, make it last for the rest of the match. BUT, in the moment that a survivor touch a gen o start healing somebody, the perk desables.

It's that simple. You won't get tunneled, as it will be up, and the killer won't have to worry about you sitting on a gen in his face 'cause you have 1 minute of "get out of the jail free card".

Why is so difficult to do that? (Besides the fact that survivors are the majority of player base and god forbid that the devs mess with their beloved perk).

EDIT: BT is great anti-camp perk.

Let us for a moment understand how the perk works so that everyone is on the same page with this. Once a survivor is hooked and unhooked, DS activates and will stay active for up to 60 seconds. While active, if they are picked up by a killer, they will be given a hard skill check, regardless to whether or not they hit the skill check, DS will deactivate for the rest of the game. If they happen to hit their skill check, they will escape the killer's grasp and the killer will be stunned for 5 seconds.

The complaint is that survivors are given a "get out of jail free card" for 60 seconds but what happens after those 60 seconds? Nothing, you can down, grab, and hook them like normal. What happens if they miss that skill check? Nothing. You can hook them like normal. What happens if they hit that skill check? Well, you get stunned for 5 seconds but after that what's stopping you from being able to just down that survivor again? Lets be honest, they're injured, leaving a trail of blood and scratch marks directly to them, what would stop you? In my experience using the perk, nothing as for an anti-tunnel perk it isn't really that good at deterring tunneling.

Changing it to be a perk that deactivates upon healing or repairing a generator creates this problem where killers will intentionally allow survivors to complete those actions in order to get rid of DS and then proceed to tunnel like nothing's changed. It also encourages survivors to do nothing to progress the match while DS is active.

I believe Scott's idea was to have it last indefinitely in chase but expire upon touching a gen, healing, or someone else being hooked. While that sounds awesome in theory, it isn't that good in practice, because instead of having survivors 'taunt' you from a gen they will intentionally thrust themselves into chases in order to be as toxic as possible.

Let's imagine a swf team going out of their way to stall the game by doing everything in their power to stop new hooks once someone is hooked? I could see that happening the same day the change rolls out. So instead of being able to wait the 60 seconds out and hook like normal, it will be a game of hopefully you can get another hook while all the survivors are body blocking, breaking hooks, and just doing everything possible to save the person you're trying to hook to get rid of 1 survivor's DS. Once that new person is unhooked, you have to start the whole thing over.

If we even think about it from the other side, I believe it would still be abused as now killers are encouraged to ignore survivors long enough for them to touch a gen, or get healed. Not complete a generator. Just touch it. So think of a wraith who goes invisible and hides near the freshly unhooked survivor just waiting for them to progress the game a tiny bit so they can hook them again. Hell, any killer or killer perk that can make it seem like it's safe to do a gen or heal will make lives for survivors a living hell.

I get that being DS'd is annoying, but we're talking about 5 seconds of being annoyed. Then the game progresses like normal.

I am not complaining about a "hacker" i am WARNING that cross play should not be in consoles, atleast for now. The state of dbd experience in PC and consoles are not 100% equal. I will not even talk about the fact that they don t have a pure anti-cheat system.

So when you started this entire thing off mentioning how you had to "turn off cross play" because of hacking, how can you say you aren't complaining about it?

What about when you gave us an update talking about encountering another hacker?

Are those not complaining about hackers?

The funny thing is, you can't even tell which players are PC and which are PS4! Yet you're certain you're 100% playing against only PC players or at least somewhat primarily PC players.

What makes the versions not equal? How do PC players have an advantage? Because of keyboard and mouse? You realize that doesn't actually make a difference? This broken game is just as broken on PC as it is on Xbox, and I mean broken in the terms of lag/performance/bugs.

If you played the game on PC you wouldn't even say something so ignorant because you would already know how crazy it would be to say something so wild and baseless.

I always report them ingame reports like devs always suggested to console players, but still think that nothing is gonna happen to those players.

Right, but if you had a video of their offenses you would have a better chance of getting the devs to do something. Right now all you're doing is complaining about an 'hacker' that totally exists.

I don t need to prove you anything son, especially to PC ignorants.

You're right, you don't have to prove anything, but I suggested sending proof to the devs and not to "PC ignorants" which doesn't even mean anything.

Video or not, no one other than those who are equally as unreasonably upset with the devs changing things to bring multiple communities together is taking you seriously. Especially with how you're responding.

  • @Fnatic47 said:

Just got another speedhacker survivor 👍 thank you cross play xD

If you're encountering hackers (which I highly doubt, but can't totally dismiss) I recommend you record them hacking and send it to the devs? Every platform, except for possibly the Switch offers you the ability to record gameplay.

My best guess is that you aren't encountering any hackers and are just interested in complaining for fun.

"They enabled cross play and now all my matches are flooded by PC HACKERS!" Let us not even consider the fact that unless they don't have that globe icon (meaning they're native to your platform), you can't even tell where someone is from. At least as of right now and to the best of my knowledge.

to all you PC players, doesn’t it get boring going against Nurses, Spirits, and huntresses constantly? Ever since cross-play that’s all I’ve been going against. Oh and yeah they’re sweaty... like coming out of a steam room sweaty.

Please send over your nurses and spirits because I haven't seen one on PC in weeks! Thank you.

  • @Fnatic47 said:

Is not dramatic at all, they played dbd since the game release on consoles and now since devs said about cross play and the bad experience they had on PC, well even me could think to delete the game...

I highly doubt you ran into hackers right after DBD cross play was enabled.

But you probably recorded said matches right?

When playing killer against survivors that know the game, even if they are noobs at juking/looping, they succeed to do all gens in 5 minutes.

Played two times in a row against SWF high rank (they clearly knew the game), and i clearly couldn't do anything, even though i ended every chase in ~30 sec.

Gens finished in 5 minutes exactly (i recorded the game and checked), door opened instantly after.

Found the first survivor 10 seconds after spawning. Got 1 kill + 2 hooked.

Survivors didn't have any chase skill, they did some loops but nothing awesome, never lost my track.

There is a real problem with this.

Ah and, to mention it, i play surv in a great SWF, each of us goes out 90% of the time when we play together. We struggle against high skilled spirit and the hag, that's all.

It would seem like the issue you're having isn't with gen rushing, but with map pressure. While chasing and hooking survivors are obviously two important things for a killer, you also need to be able to pressure survivors off generators. You "couldn't do anything, even though I eneded every chase in ~30 sec" sounds like you completely ignored the generators. Not to mention spending 30 seconds chasing a survivor that can't loop or juke is very long. Take it from someone who can't loop or juke, my chases are never longer than 15 seconds. Think about it. Survivors are slower than killers when running. If I can't loop a tile then the distance between me and the killer will be reduced much faster than if I could loop.

Spending 30 seconds not being able to close distance against someone who doesn't know how to loop? That sounds just plain crazy.

My recommendation for you would be to break chase and find the other survivors. Have more of a map or gen pressure and you'll see that generators won't pop as often. As someone who also plays as killer, I struggled with keeping generators up because I did exactly what you did. Not saying I'm any better as a killer, what I am trying to highlight is that it's not all about winning chases and hooking survivors. You played two games back to back where it sounds like you ignored the generators and what happened? The gens were popped and survivors escaped.

My worst games as survivor all include a ton of factors, but one of those factors was having a killer who would not stray away from generators that were actively being worked on.
