No way to fix it now, sadly. The community had the opportunity back in DBD's infancy to clapback at the devs for their arrogant stupidity, but insisted on being tolerant and nice. BHVR learned they could do whatever the hell they wanted and their addict community would crawl back for another hit. So now we have a team of devs that will boldy make horrific choices and rarely listen to anybody with half a brain on why its not a good choice. Tricksters buff is a great recent example of this endless trend.

You never get something right the first time, it takes trail and error to get something right. MMR has worked successfully in other games and will work successfully in this game unless the Devs take your advice and just give up.
If at first you fail, try again. And again. And again. .....And again. maybe if you fail a ton of times don't try again, actually.

They have a generally appealing design and addicting gameplay loop. people love being fast and love the dopamine rush of getting consecutive stabs. They are not a well designed killer in any aspect of balance, as they are genuinely quite bad, but in a FUN aspect? Its generally pretty agreed upon they are quite fun to play. Plus they get some really good cosmetics, they're fun characters. Its easy to like them
-
just…look away until you’re close? Easy. I never have to deal with spinechill because I don’t ever directly look at a location I’m approaching. It’s such a minuscule complaint.
-
Its sad to see how we all agree on this. Billy used to be a hero, now hes a zero.
-
Nurse undeniably. A nurse with infectious+Starstruck+Lethal Persuer can pretty efficiently slaughter an entire lobby in about 3 minutes. You can go even faster than this too since most survivors will insta-dc the second they realize its a lethal pursuer nurse.
-
Its because the bounding boxes on most terrain are unreasonably large. For a good example of this you can look up shounic's on the righteous bison being unable to fire up ramps. Same applies here, poor boundary boxing on certain game objects renders projectiles (this includes victor) colliding with invisible boundary boxes floating in mid air. Completely rudimentary fix that even the most amateur mappers could fix, but BHVR chooses not to.
-
This is possible and done relatively rarely by hackers. Encountered a feng wearing her upcoming outfit not too long ago, hackers like to flaunt that they're cheating by either wearing full legacy or unreleased cosmetics. Even if that killer didn't do anything cheaty during the match, they're still save editing for unreleased stuff. Its a bannable offense.

lets be real here. Flesh and mud was a disaster for the human race. Hag and ace are pretty nice, but hag on launch was a CIA torture scheme and the swamps have eternally been a map devised by satan himself

According to the wiki, the developers tried this with Spirit but decided against it because they were worried about the public reaction, especially in other countries.
Yeah honestly i would much prefer to not be chased by a fully nude teenage girl. Devs are making the right choice by cutting down on large scale nudity.
-
I like equipping it because it makes my life way less stressful. Walking past a gen that was 90% just a few moments ago and is now in the low 40% is just so damn satisfying. The perk really pulls its weight, even if it doesn't last long a lot of games.
-
I absoloutely adored re4, but village knocked it out of the park. Its got a great aesthetic and some really fun backtracking puzzles, the combat is super awesome and its got some insanely fun unlockables. I beat it first on its hardcore then again on village of shadows. it felt way more resident evil than re7 and the re3 remake. The characters were kinda meh though, but really who plays resident evil for well written characters.
-
After playing this game for as long as i have, i've sorta stopped maining any of the killers. I kinda just find them all fun to play and can pick up and enjoy any one of them. (Except nurse, she can burn in hell)
-
You are much better of playing without plaid flannel, its like training wheels if removing the training wheels instantly destroyed all previous muscle memory you had of riding the bike. The more you use the flannel, the more you rely on it to know where your blink will land. Just play nurse without it and the experience will set in naturally.

Just you try to sound injured without actually injuring yourself.
Plenty of actors hit their backs with a belt to simulate pain. Its possible, but then again if you've got a thing for that i guess you'll just get claire 2x.

Tru3's matches with Oracle proved that Wraith doesn't stand a chance against good survivors. You should probably watch them to learn how people play against Wraith.
Any killer short of an extremely experienced nurse would be annihilated by oracle. Tru3 is not a great example either for the peak of killer skill, he slips up pretty often. This video says little about wraith.

A quick reminder on this thread not to discuss leak or suspected leaks - that's not something we wish to have on our platform. Thank you for the understanding.

I don't like spending 14 seconds of my life holding m1 against the worlds least threatening band of puny teenagers

The funniest part about lightborn is survivor arrogance. You can literally stand there as they point their flashlight at your face, not getting blinded, and it will literally not penetrate their thick skull that you have lightborn. They'll keep trying over and over, and it will always kill them. its why i love lightborn.
-
He has a special ability called "Bubba's chainsaw" getting hit by it will insta down you.
Don't get hit by it.
-
I assume there will be 3 of them, and they will each have 3 tiers. Now hear me out this ones a bit wild, for each tier of the perk it changes color. Yellow being tier 1, green being tier 2, and purple being tier 3. Don't attack me, this is just speculation.
-
Sounds like somebody just got sent to ormond
-
Considering japans birthrates and the problematic otaku culture that is prevalent there, i'd say yes. Anime is indeed a killer.
-
selfcare
>:(
-
Mettle was honestly the only stupidly OP perk on the list. Sad it got nerfed down into low tier hell, it couldve at least been medicore.
Lucky break is the funniest for me. I cannot count how many times i finished a game and said out loud "Wait, that guy had lucky break?"
-
i want the next killer to be CJ from grove street
-
Speculation leads to dissapointment. We'll just have to wait and see.

Worst: Trapper
Best: Nurse
Kinda funny how the worst/best the game can offer are the original 4.

Its like when Valve censored free to plays to stop bots from spamming the chat. Chat filters in DBD is such a pathetic nothing-fix to the problem of post game toxicity. Why even have a post game chat at that point if you can barely say anything?
-
im a femboy
I have forseen it. The comments will devolve into a deranged sht-show.
Joking aside, i love having new folks to talk to and play DBD with. My disc is Midnight Creature Feature#0051, hmu if you want stupid trans memes and dbd talk
Edit: Forgot to include i play on PC lol
-
Technically bots are almost always going to be better than the baseline average player. They are literally programmed to act as perfectly as they can, any errors they perform are purposefully coded in. Skill and situational awareness is the only thing that really differentiates a normal human surv from a bot. So some of the blendettes you might see here and there quite literally are worse than bots.
-
If you're complaining about scratched mirror, good lord i hope god is merciful to everyone who encounters you because they are truly facing a paragon of stupidity.

Its a necessary evil, but nontheless an extremely annoying evil. Im sure they could've thought up better ways to change this perk than "doesn't thanos snap your items, but your charges instead." Like cool? I Get to exit the trial with my empty medkit. And its not really that useful or engaging on the killer side either. The clicky nea doesn't get to use her basically already useless flashlight? Wow, that is such an amazing upside. Hitting survs to make them drop their items isn't that useful, and its entirely annoying for survivors.
-
Spirit isn't the problem per se. Shes just not fun or engaging to fight, which is why a lot of survivor players end up dc'ing or giving up against her. Pretty much every other killer has decent counterplay (except timer pig maybe, since RNG can literally kill you against her) with the sole exception of spirit. You are given no visual stimulus, very limited audio stimulus, and only a handful of guesses you can choose from to save yourself. Guessing right doesn't feel like a brain expanding outplay, you just chuckle to yourself and think "wow, that worked?" and move on realizing flipping the coin the other way would've killed you. The best kind of design in a PVP game is where both players are given ample input regarding the actions of one another so that they both feel rewarded when their skill brings them closer to victory. Spirit does not follow this principle, and only the spirits skill is really factored into the equation when versing her.
So no, spirit is not the problem. Its simply how BHVR chooses to design and balance their game that leaves her in a very frustrating spot. All she really needs is a single tweak, just let survivors hear her footsteps and breathing like she can hear theirs. Instant fix, now its consistent across both sides and a huge amount of the frustration is now replaced with a learnable skill curve.
-
I feel like its a bit on BHVR for the way they advertise the perk. Newer survivors see it and get starry eyed thinking "No way!!! I can infinitely heal myself! Thats must be so good!" without realizing the THIRTY FULL SECONDS they spend holding m1 could've been spent contributing to an objective.

game modes would split the player base, and Q time is already bad.
The sad truth. Other games (say for example, for honor) can work with new game modes because they launched with multiple. DBD however cannot, as its playbase would become massively split and matchmaking would become very difficult. The only time when this could ever be implemented would be as a temporary side thing during an event that disappears forever after it.

Opression, Eruption, Pop, and tinkerer on freddy. One of my favorite effective semi-meme builds on any killer. So many gens blow up. you can just insta teleport to them and punish survivors, super fun but it won't win you a ton of games unless you're good at freddy.
-
DBD is not a competitive game and never should be. I respect people who try to play it competetively, but i don't like them for quite a few reasons. They tend not to be the best people, and have very poor ideas on how to balance the game. Imagine multiplying the psychopathy inducing gameplay of dbd you get just from playing it casually by 4. Thats comp.
-
Hackers finally realizing how terrible the anticheat is. And thats started to sort of happen recently, theres been more and more and we KNOW bhvr won't do jack-squat until were up to our damn chest in them. Thats when i'll finally quit, and i already foresee it from miles away.

Saw a Clown today bring a RCP map offering. Doesn't seem like a great map for him.
Brings RPD Map offering
Objectively one of the worst possible maps for clown
Refuses to elaborate

Unless you want another iri head, an iri like that needs a downside. Plague can transfer infection because she has no innate lethality until survivors are forced (or choose to) give her that lethality through cleansing. Nemesis ALWAYS has access to his lethality given the survivors are infected, the infection spreading would make it so he has to do very little to snowball injuries with his tentacle.
-
Usually because killers aren't going there to win. When was the last time you saw a killer bring an offering that wasn't jumpscare myers/ghostface on lerys/hawkins? There are a LOT of survivor sided maps that can make winning a much easier affair. (Haddonfence, ocasionally ormond, b a d h a m) so its seen as super sweaty and rude to pop an offering, since it shows you're trying way too hard to win. There are some pretty respectable offerings though, burning a macmillans or azarovs usually grantees fun for all.
-
Your right, she belongs in a hospital. Its a bit weird for a trained medical professional to be wandering around in a forest or a steel mill.
-
Yes. Out of 7 billion people on this planet, full of unique organisms living their own unique lives, you. ONLY YOU, are the singular person in all of our organized society enjoying DBD.
-
Having fun? In DBD? Thats illegal.
-
No. Won't happen. Same with candmyman, we all know this is true and are just kidding ourselves when we disagree.

I honestly believe too many players put too much emphasis on levelling up to tier 3 mutation. Tier 2 is his REAL power. The 1m extension in T3 is really just a bonus imo.
We should not be aplaudding ANOTHER useless additional mechanic to a killer. Why even have a third tier if its so benign? Being able to break pallets is utterly insane, and theres no real point to going beyond that if you care about winning the match. Tier 3 really does need to be something more substantial for the amount of effort you go through just to get it, since nemesis is better off m1'ing in so many scenarios.
-
They can change whatever the hell they please. Stated direclty in the EULA you agreed to, BHVR holds the rights to remove, update, or change any cosmetic in the game, and you are not liable to a refund if you dislike these changes. Shoulda read the EULA my man.

I've got a feeling that whoever the next survivor is might come with the boon totems and I'm VERY curious to see how they act. I'm just a bit worried that they could be a bit to powerful, I still have nightmares about old MoM. ;_;
Gladly old MoM got nerfed kinda fast. I assume if the boons end up being a little OP they'll nerf accordingly like they did MoM. Hopefully won't get them like MoM though, 3 protection hits my butt.
