Give the fully sick survivors 2 things when they vomit: the Hindered status for duration of vomiting, and a 6m AoE that infects everything around them. With the hindered status popping up periodically the Plague becomes more of a threat in a chase but isn't so OP that survivors can't deal with it. Currently the only times survivors get infected is either through direct interaction with another survivor/object that is infected, or by being spewed on by the killer. With infection time on objects being 35 seconds (up to a maximum of 50) however, survivors generally don't get infected the majority of the time without the Killers direct intervention. With the AoE though, objects all over the map would get frequently infected by sick survivors when they vomit which would give the spread of the infection more of a "Plague" feel that would help the killer apply better map pressure.
Another suggestion people have made is to have infected gens experience regression for the infections duration that survivors have to combat with slightly slower repair speed, which honestly sounds like a decent buff but might be a bit too oppressive. For that suggestion I'd say the Regression rate should be half as strong as a normal gen kick, but adding that extra half rate on top of a gen kick might prove to be too fast of a regression. It's an interesting Idea that would add better gen pressure and control for the Plague, but I'm unsure if it would be too strong, and with the AoE suggestion above it might prove to be overpowering.
Either way, i believe the first 2 suggestions here to be the best one's, because of how they would change Plague matches (I don't think they'd be too broken), and they would encourage survivors to cleanse at fountains or risk getting periodically slowed in a chase or infect their allies.

That Law also prohibits images of dead bodies in games, real (as in pictures put in the game) or digital (as in game characters), and this extends to animals. Basically all modern games that feature taking down enemies, be they human, animal, or humanoid via implied lethal means and allowing their "dead bodies" to linger in the game is prohibited. I've actually been wondering how BHVR is taking this as well, and if they are going to create a "China censored" version of the game, or if they're about to lose their market there?

Ghostface will be mediocre-good with great pressure at low-mid ranks and the possibility with some add-on's assistance to be almost viable at high rank in the PTB, but when the PTB is done he'll get "Plague nerfed" when he goes live to remove any chance of him being higher tier. They can't have more than 3 killers be viable at high ranks because they don't want there to be more variety in killers at rank 5-1...
It's very exclusive, and its not like anyone ever complains about a lack of killer diversity at those ranks, so there's no reason to allow another one to earn the VIP room treatment. Billy enjoys sharing it with Nurse and Spirit because he has no other dudes there to compete with for their attention, and keeping Billy happy is the way BHVR likes it.

That sucks

If not stopping them from doing the actions then it should at least cause the bleed out timer to activate and rapidly drain even in the killers TR to add a sense of Risk and Reward: You either take time to mend before you finish that gen, or try and finish it before you bleed out. It would also make Adrenaline have some interesting and clutch plays. Survivors never bleed out anymore from deep wounds because of the new and insanely lenient mechanics regarding when the timer pauses, so punishing them with faster bleed out for doing actions instead of taking care of their wound first would at least help it be a bit of a threat again, especially if you also included vaulting and pallet dropping to the mix. Kind of like how Plagues infection rate increases with actions, only it can also drain at its normal rate when outside of the TR if you aren't mending. This would also help add-on's that are currently useless like Stab Wounds Study, and Franks Mix Tape have some usefulness again.

The Dedicated servers and Disciplinary committee can't come soon enough.

I figured Chucky wouldn't get licensed by BHVR, and made a suggestion for a doll based killer similar to this last August that wouldn't require the licensing. You can check that out here:
It's a long read, but I also included a TL:DR at the bottom if you are pressed for time.

Give it up man. They've clearly shown that they have no intentions on making this killer viable! I enjoyed him while I could too so I understand your pain!
The way I see it, they tore Legion down to basics so that they could slowly build them up to a level that would be more balanced and still fun to play based on feedback from the community and stats gathered. Of course the problem is that the changes they made have destroyed their unique power and add-on's, rendering the power as only a minor annoyance. All I'm suggesting are some changes that would aid the power to be more of a threat without being too broken or OP. This would raise the viability a bit, but Legion would still be around mid tier at best imo if these were implemented due to the fact that they would still be add-on dependent in order to have said viability. A bit like the Doctor who is very basic aside from being anti-stealth, and is heavily add-on dependent in order to be viable at mid tier. Currently Legion is heavily add-on dependent, but the add-on's are mostly trash that pose no threatening changes or enhancements to their power and keeps them from reaching that mid tier level consistently, much less have any chance of reaching high tier even with their best add-on's. I just think at least some of these suggestions would help them achieve that level and make playing them both fun and more balanced for the mid tier.

Its extra funny when you consider that remember me didn't need the nerf at all because they already had the mechanic in-game for avoiding the lone survivor issue:
Killer closes hatch = lone survivor becomes the obsession.
This makes Rancor extra dangerous in the lone survivor scenario, but it also makes Remember Me completely useless against the lone survivor. I'm honestly surprised they thought nerfing Remember Me was the better option, unless they didn't even think of the above solution to the problem.

- Give survivors the Hindered status whenever they vomit for the duration of the vomiting. This is a small and periodic de-buff to survivors that makes the Plague more of a threat in a chase but not so much that she becomes OP or too oppressive, and it would encourage survivors to cleanse at fountains more.
- Also while a survivor vomits give them a 6m AoE that infects everything within its radius. This allows the sickness to spread throughout the maps less predictably and reduces the workload on the Plague herself. Currently survivors spread the sickness to each other by rescuing an infected survivor, working on a gen with a fully infected survivor or healing a downed infected survivor, otherwise the Plague has to infect them and objects herself all of the time. Adding this will make the sickness spread feel more like a Plague, apply more pressure to the map for her, make the add-on's that increase infection time on objects more noticeable, and help her gain the contagious (25bp) scoring events more often.
Other than that, it would be nice to have her back to her old PTB self where she maintained her 115% movement speed while holding her purge and only slowed down when charging and during cool down. Currently with her slowing down while charging, holding and during cool down, she can't really apply pressure during a chase at loops as the slows give the survivors too much leeway and distance on her every time she attempts to use her power on them.
-
I still think that the best buffs suggested were to give survivors the Hindered status every time they vomit for the duration of the vomiting, and give them a 6m AoE that infects anything within its radius while they vomit. That way she'll be more of a threat to fully infected survivors in chases but not too OP, and survivors will spread the sickness around the map more without having to directly interact with each other or objects first. This would encourage survivors to cleanse at fountains, create a more plague-like feel for how the sickness gets around, and reduce the workload on her since she currently has to infect practically everything herself.
Other than that, it would be nice if she was reverted back to her PTB self where she slowed down when charging her purge, went back to 115% movement speed while holding it, and slowed down again for cool down. As she is right now, the 3 different slowdowns using her Purge make looping her easy for survivors and remove much of the pressure she used to be able to apply. That change they made to her brought her down a peg from near-viable to simply mediocre.

The majority of times I get this kind of matchmaking, its when the survivors are queuing up in SWF groups. Whoever is the host of the SWF team is the deciding factor in what rank of killer they get matched up with. So if its a high rank host with a low rank friend(s), they all get matched with a high rank killer, and the same can be said if the host is low rank and their friends are high rank. This is yet another reason SWF can sometimes feel broken as it can cause this kind of unbalanced matchmaking.
Take the screenshot above for example: the 13 and 6 could be 1 two person swf group, and the 9 and other 13 another, but both had the lowest ranked member be the host of their groups, which matched them up with you as you were the killer available closest to the hosts rank. This is especially noticeable on the weekends and during events because lots of players jump on with their friends.
I'm not saying that this is always the case, but it does seem to be the leading factor in this kind of wacky and unbalanced matchmaking.

The very nature of a multiplayer game is that there will be good matches as well as bad, and a good player accepts these possibilities and plays the game for the challenge and excitement of the variation in difficulty, because its fun, more rewarding when they win, and a learning experience when they lose that helps them develop skills to become a better player. Our DC'ers however, are opting out of every match they find unfavorable, blaming the game for not being "fun", and repeating to DC until they find a match that is "Fun" because their opponent is easy for them to win against. In other words what our DC'ers are doing is none other than setting themselves up for an easy win every match they actually play, while screwing over everyone else in matches they find unfavorable because they don't want a challenge. This behavior goes completely against the spirit of the multiplayer experience, good sportsmanship in general, is unacceptable and deserving of punishment. There is NOTHING more toxic than a player rigging the game in their favor, especially when doing so hurts the experience for others, and quite honestly, I see no difference in our DC'ers behavior and that of someone who hacks the game... except hackers get punished when caught.
There are a few major bugs that are causing DC's, but in comparison to the Toxic DC'ing, these bugs are in the minority. While these bugs are being addressed by the devs and fixes are coming soon however, the devs have stated that they won't be doing anything to punish habitual and toxic DC'ers until the Dedicated servers are up and Disciplinary committee has been established. Unfortunately for us, this means another few months of watching the game dying painfully due to fed up players leaving/uninstalling the game until this issue gets under control, and who can blame them? My only hope is that, by the time this does get under control, there will still be enough players left to save the game.

Question about Thana and Plague. Isn't it counter intuitive? Survivors get an insta heal with fountains so that makes it kinda useless right?
Many survivors have taken up the strategy of refusing to cleanse at fountains, and remain broken until the gates are powered. Unless you are using her Black Incense Ultra Rare add-on, have a few good tracking perks, or are just really good at loop mind games, this strategy allows them to focus down gens quickly without ever giving you your ranged damage attack. Thanatophobia on the other hand slows gen repair progress for every injured survivor, and because of that, they feel forced to give up on this strategy and give you your power boost. Survivors go down much quicker when you assault them with ranged streams of bloody death puke, so anything that will encourage them to give you that power upgrade is good in my book.
-
I run into survivors who refuse to use the fountains a lot, or at least i did, until I equipped Thanatophobia in my perks. It doesn't really do much (adds 10 seconds to gen repair), but psychologically they see its icon, and the red repair progress bar, and they suddenly decide to use the fountains. Equipping the tablet and necklace to increase movement speed, reduce time to get corrupt from a fountain in a chase, and increase the duration of corrupt purge makes for some quick games. However some survivors are stubborn and will work through thana's de-buff because they know its mostly harmless, so for that I ideally bring in an ashen apple instead of the tablet to give me corrupt purge when i have all of them at max sickness. The Black Incense add-on is also insane against those who refuse to use the fountains and nets you fairly quick victories, but because its an ultra rare add-on, its not as available, and you can't always depend on it. If you are going to use Black Incense though, ditch Thanatophobia, because this is the one add-on you don't want to encourage them to use the fountains with.
Other perks I use are Monitor and Abuse or Bitter Murmer, Brutal Strength or Enduring, Bamboozle or Spirit fury. All of these + Thanatophobia work to encourage survivors to use the fountains and help me in chases or locating survivors. Of course good old BBQ&C can be put in any build because bonus points and map awareness are good things to have.
-
Once it reaches its maximum de-buff it adds about 10 seconds to gen repair, but as soon as survivors see that it's working against them, they tend to prioritize staying healthy in order to avoid the de-buff. Not many killers can actually injure all 4 survivors at a time unless all 4 of them are in the same area, so the majority of the time survivors only suffer half of the de-buff (2 injured) at most, which only adds 5 seconds to gen repair. Also when you kill 1 survivor you remove the chance to apply the full de-buff permanently from the game for the remaining survivors. It's also completely counter-able with Healing aid perks like Botany Knowledge, Autodidact, and We'll Make It because their buff to healing speed completely surpasses the de-buff of Thanatophobia. It's for these reasons that when it was temporarily buffed in the Plague's PTB to apply a max of 24% de-buff, that it was actually kinda useful, but again getting all 4 survivors simultaneously injured and applying the max de-buff was a very rare circumstance, and it really shouldn't have been reverted.
As it is right now, its more of a psychological attack perk. You want survivors to consistently spend time healing? You want to encourage them to use the fountains when playing Plague? You want to get more use out of Sloppy Butcher or Nurses Calling? Then go ahead and equip Thanatophobia. Otherwise, its not a very useful perk.

I'm a simple killer... I see 2+ BPS, I friendly farm with the team no matter how many DC. 1 DC's, I let 1 go via hatch after 2 hooking everyone and then playing survivor roulette to see who gets to live. 2 DC, I farm with the rest. 3 DC... Up to the last survivor really, if they just want me to kill them i will, but if they want to farm, I allow it. Although this never used to be as big of an issue up until 3-ish months ago when the DC epidemic started to build up. Sigh... can't wait for the dedicated servers and disciplinary committee to get this crap under control.

At Least Frank's mix tape in the PTB is now the only way to down survivors with frenzy stabs... 5 stabs to be exact... and 70+ seconds of chasing... that's what everyone wanted right?

Why would you modify the look. It was designed to look like it is, because it can affect the gameplay.
So far, Nvidia Freestyle is the best option for people with vision issues. I myself suffer from a couple of issues that makes it very difficult to play the game: Keratoconus, and astigmatism. The astigmatism is easy enough to deal with corrective lenses as long as I'm close to the screen, but the keratoconus makes it so that looking at anything is like looking through a drop of water which causes blurry light beams to stretch off of everything (just tear up a bit and squint a little and you'll get the idea), and that makes it very difficult to differentiate objects in the game from characters (especially when characters hold still) unless I'm practically touching them, due to the coloring being dull, muddy or washed out, and dark, things just blend together for me. With Freestyle however I can sharpen up the picture and make colors more vivid, which helps it become easier to tell what's what from better distances, and for that I am seriously grateful. I still have my T-rex moments of being unable to see someone holding still against objects every now and then (and in the killer role that's a major annoyance unless the survivors are wearing bright outfits), but for the most part it's been a godsend for me. Keratoconus can be corrected with either a very large, expensive and uncomfortable glass contact lens that you have to extract from your eye with a suction cup, or with an even more expensive corneal transplant, but I'm very sensetive to things touching my eyes, and don't have the 13k for the transplant currently, whereas Astigmatism can be corrected via Laser eye surgery, but again its not only expensive, it can't be done for me until the keratoconus is fixed first. So freestyle + Corrective glasses is the best band-aid fix I've found until then (used to be the re-shade mod, but EAC sometimes had issues with that).
It's also the best way people can get an adjustable Color Blind mode in the game so far (that I know of) and while I don't suffer from that, there's plenty of people out there that have been begging for a colorblind option in this game. Freestyle has it, and if those people can use it, then they should be able to. Content Creators can also use it to take great screenshots, or give the game a nifty new feel with some of the special effects options to make the experience more unique, or enhance upon its dark and gritty atmosphere.
Yeah Freestyle can be used to brighten things up which can affect game-play and even give advantages to players, but for those with vision issues like myself, it only helps us to play the game. I know this kinda sounds like an advertisement for Freestyle, but there's plenty of reasons to use it as an aid to improve the gaming experience and not just to gain an advantage. It's also currently white-listed by EAC because of these reasons, and being able to customize the visual feel of the game, to help or enhance the experience without worry of getting banned for it, is a good thing overall.

Unfortunately de-ranking is the only solution currently as most players are sticking to the purple ranks on purpose, so if you're going to De-rank for better queue times as a killer, Don't DC to do it! There's a better and more fun way... use Moris! If the survivors don't all DC on you as soon as the game starts, then just use the Mori's to ensure you get less than 9 hook events. The games will go quick, you'll get a decent amount of BPs, and De-rank without using ban-able behavior until your lobbies times go down. It's sad that we have to resort to this, but at least it puts the Mori's to good use... mine just collect dust in my inventory until I hit the higher ranks and start getting longer queue times.
-
You're not alone, this is happening everywhere, and the devs are aware of it, but aren't planning to get it under control until the dedicated servers go online and the disciplinary committee is established.
Some DC'ing is caused by bugs in the game right now which is acceptable, but in comparison to toxic DC'ing, its in the minority. Players are currently getting away with repetitive DC'ing until they find a match that is easier for them. In other words they are using the fact that they aren't getting penalized to rig the game in their favor while ruining the experience for everyone else. They literally disconnect for any reason they want, and blame the game for "not being fun" or "frustrating" as their excuse when called out on it, when in reality they are just practicing poor sportsmanship at toxic levels, and its killing the game.
The Devs have the power to do a ban wave right now, and they have the tools and data that tells them which players are habitually DC'ing (higher than avg DC count per games played) vs. players losing connection due to bugs ( avg or lower DC count per games played) but perhaps for some people the bugs are happening more frequently, and they don't want to do a ban wave until they have better tools (dedicated servers) for telling the difference with more accuracy. Either way, the "DC Epidemic" has us all feeling frustrated and put off of this game MORE than the games current bugs, mechanics, or dirty tactics ever has before, and the lack of action against it has left us feeling defeated and ignored.
My recommendation is to avoid using any good Blood Point boosting offerings (BPS, Cake, Pudding), Add-on's, or items (even during the upcoming blood hunt which will probably be a disaster due to the DC Epidemic), and either tough it out until the dedicated servers go live and the devs get this crap under control, or take a break from dbd until then... No one would blame you at this point.

hmmmm.. my eyes got bugged out reading that last one.
Sorry, here's a TL;DR
The players who are DC'ing are doing it to rig the game in their favor instead of playing fairly, are ruining/killing the game for the community as a whole, and the only proven way to counter this kind of toxic behavior is to punish them. However the devs are holding back on punishment until they get the dedicated servers and disciplinary committee established a few months down the road, but their lack of action has given rise to a toxic "DC epidemic" that if left unchecked for much longer, will result in a significant drop in players who are quitting the game over it, and may not come back even when the devs do get this problem under control.

I already commented this in another post that argued punishing DC'ers is not the answer, because the players were DC'ing out of frustrations created by the games mechanics, and bugs which need to be fixed first. Here's my thoughts on that mentality:
While some bugs are causing DC's, in comparison to the amount of players DC'ing at their whim, the bug related DC's are in the minority. We're not just talking about people who give it their best, get frustrated after trying enough times against opponents that are broken or op, or game mechanics that allow play-styles like camping, tunneling or gen rushing, and then DC. We're talking about players DC'ing for the most inane reasons like: the choice of map, who the killer is, what items are brought in, getting spotted/attacked first, losing Hex: Ruin in the first 20 seconds, missing a skill-check, getting out-played on the first loop, wanting to save an item, realizing its an SWF group, etc. They quit literally for any reason they want because they know they aren't going to get punished for doing so, and this toxic behavior is not just ruining the game for others playing in a match once in a while, it's killing the game experience as a whole for everyone.
These players aren't even trying to play the game as its intended as the moment it goes even slightly bad for them, or they perceive it as unfavorable even in the smallest way, they DC. What's worse, is because there are no penalties, and they don't lose anything for DC'ing, they have developed a careless mentality about it as if it's not doing any harm, but really, if you play 10 matches, and disconnect for 9 of them, how many other peoples experiences did you just ruin? Are you even playing the game at that point? Some of them even have the gall to get offended at the mention of penalizing their behavior, and defend their "Right to DC" whenever they want despite how much harm it's causing. They're not ignorant of their behavior and the damage being done either, they're just infuriatingly convinced of their entitlement to win every match, despite the fact that this is a competitive multiplayer game, which doesn't entitle them to anything other than to play with and against other people.
These other MP games don't let this level of toxicity rise in their player-base, and some are extremely strict about it, dishing out a 24hr ban for 1 DC that escalates to a week if another happens in 72 hours after their initial offense. I'm not saying that DbD needs to be that strict, but the belief that punishment for this behavior isn't the right way to go is naive at best, and the developers of this game know that, but aren't acting on it until they get the dedicated servers and disciplinary committee established.
Because of their inaction on the DC'ing problem however, its grown to, well, "Epidemic" levels, and people are so sick of it they are either threatening to uninstall and stop playing on these forums, or have already done so, and who can blame them? It's impossible to have any fun or enjoyment in this multiplayer game, when the majority of games are ruined by toxic brats with delusions of entitlement DC'ing for the most pathetically petty reasons. This crap needs to stop, but while the community can complain all they want about it, the only real thing that will stop it, and has been proven to stop it in other MP games, is action from the devs to penalize the toxic players who are, through their actions, killing the game.

The reason why people DC this much is because nothing bad is happening to them.
After the release of Legion, some streamers started to DC whenever they saw a legion and around that time there was a deranking debate going on. So everyone became aware of DCs not being punished that much. After that, DC epidemic started.
If we start to punish DCs heavily tomorrow, people will stop DCing and play against whatever killer they face. It won't kill the playerbase.
This is exactly why I'm anticipating that the upcoming blood hunt is going to go down as the worst of such events in the history of DbD. I'm even begging the devs to punish DC'ers before the event in order to hopefully make the blood hunt an enjoyable one ( https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/60161/can-we-get-a-complimentary-24hr-dcer-ban-wave-before-the-blood-hunt#latest ),
But unless enough people voice their concerns, and BHVR actually does something, I'm positive that my prediction will come to pass.

If this were a thing, all killers would be at max viability an hour after it's implementation.

I already commented this in another post that argued punishing DC'ers is not the answer, because the players were DC'ing out of frustrations created by the games mechanics, and bugs which need to be fixed first. Here's my thoughts on that mentality:
While some bugs are causing DC's, in comparison to the amount of toxic players DC'ing at their whim, the bug related DC's are in the minority. They quit literally for any reason they want because they know they aren't going to get punished for doing so, and this toxic behavior is not just ruining the game for everyone else playing in a match, it's killing the game experience as a whole for everyone.
Other competitive multiplayer games don't put up with this toxic and unsportsmanlike behavior, and have systems to penalize players for it, because they know that if you give toxic players an inch... they walk all over you, start making ridiculous demands, and relentlessly harass anyone who raises counter opinions concerning their behavior. These other MP games don't let this level of toxicity rise in their player-base, and some are extremely strict about it, dishing out a 24hr ban for 1 DC that escalates to a week if another happens in 72 hours after their initial offense. I'm not saying that DbD needs to be that strict, but your belief that punishment for this behavior isn't the right way to go is naive at best, and the developers of this game know that, but aren't acting on it until they get the dedicated servers and disciplinary committee established.
Because of their inaction on the DC'ing problem, its grown to, well, "Epidemic" levels, and people are so sick of it they are either threatening to uninstall and stop playing on these forums, or have already done so, and who can blame them? It's impossible to have any fun or enjoyment in this multiplayer game, when the majority of games are ruined by toxic brats with delusions of entitlement DC'ing for the most pathetically petty reasons. This crap needs to stop, but while the community can complain all they want about it, the only real thing that will stop it, and has been proven to stop it in other MP games, is action from the devs to penalize the toxic players who are, through their actions, killing the game.

Dcing intentionally should just give that player a 30min ban.
That would be nice, and on par with other competitive multiplayer games like Overwatch who have strict rules regarding unsportsmanlike behavior. I'm not sure DbD really needs this level of strict penalties, but it would certainly put a stop to toxic DC'ing. The problem is that we won't be getting any action on punishing habitual DC'ers until the Dedicated servers are available for everyone. The devs have the power to instigate a DC Ban-wave right now, which if they did before the blood hunt, would restore much of my faith in them, but i'm not expecting them to despite this post and our pleading. *Sigh* Steel yourself... this blood hunt is going to be a bad one, I just KNOW it is, and I'm not spending a single xp boost offering, or using any good items/add-on's until the DC epidemic is under control.

Every Bright and flashy survivor outfit, because they are bold and say to the killer: Just try and stop me, I dare ya, I got skills!
For killers, pretty much anything that makes them spookier or harder to see so they can get more jump-scares and take survivors for a ride, Or the ones that make them look threatening even if they aren't. Lotta people judge the book by the cover, and getting an outfit that gets an instant "oh Crap!" response, is good in my book.

Yes! but this would make queues INFINITES..
That depends on if they do it on the first day of the event, or the day before the event. If before the event, queue times for normal play would see a sudden increase for a day, but then it'd go back to normal or better during the event. If they did it on the first day of the event however, for some reason I believe that the increase in players playing the game will outweigh the ones unable to participate due to the soft-ban, and so we may not even notice a difference in the queue times... unless of course more than 70% of the player-base is habitually DC'ing, in which case, queue times will be higher on the first day of the event, and go back to normal for the 2nd day.
I'm just wondering what would get the message across better: missing out on a day of normal play before the event, or missing out on the first day of the event due to your bad behavior?

In my opinion, these are the only "unwritten rules" any player should follow:
1 - Play how you want to play and enjoy the game.
2 - Respect is akin to Newtons 3rd law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Ergo, if you show no respect, don't expect any.
3 - The Killers role is to kill, the Survivors is to survive... Both by any means necessary. Hate the game, not the player.
4 - When the gates are powered... Anything goes.
5 - You paid money for a multiplayer experience, and thus aren't entitled to win every match. Anyone who takes umbrage to this should stick to single-player games where-in you are entitled to win for the money you paid. Being salty because of a lost match is unbecoming, embarrassingly juvenile, and toxic to the communities reputation. We're all people pitting our skills, strategies, and knowledge against each-other. If you lose and have nothing good to say: Leave a "gg," calm down/lick your wounds, and move onto the next match.
6 - (For PC players anyways) Post game chat can be closed using the ">>" in the lower right of the chat box, and will remain closed until you either open it again or restart the game. No one deserves abuse, so if you find yourself frustrated over excessive endgame chat toxicity: Just close it, and continue enjoying the game in peace.
7 - This is a 4v1 Lobby and Match style Multiplayer game. When you queue up to play a match you are committing to seeing it through so that everyone can enjoy the game, and everyone else who queued up is depending on your commitment to the match in order to experience said enjoyment. The acceptable reasons for Intentionally Disconnecting from a match are as follows:
- A Game breaking bug rendering you incapable of playing a normal match.
- A Player(s) taking the game hostage/hacking/exploiting bugs or game mechanics/bullying or griefing you. (Report these ones after leaving the match)
- Influences and situations outside of the game that make your disconnection unavoidable in order to deal with said circumstances.
Disconnecting from a match intentionally for any other reason is a practice in bad sportsmanship that Ruins the experience for all other players. Disconnecting over petty reasons doesn't do anything other than piss off everyone else, and makes you a worse player for it since you don't learn how to play any better by quitting. Too many DC's from too many players can also result in leaving the community as a whole with a sour experience, and could eventually kill the game we love. If you are frustrated with how a match is going; Take it in stride as a learning experience, see it through to the end, take a break, and decide if you want to queue up for another match. We all bought this game in order to play it with others despite how each match goes, and the majority of the fun this game offers is in the variation of each individual match.
Don't be a petty DC'er.

This is why I'm begging the devs to do a ban-wave before the blood hunt next week. ( https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/60161/can-we-get-a-complimentary-24hr-dcer-ban-wave-before-the-blood-hunt#latest )
DC'ing has become so habitual to players over the past few months that it's become the norm, and it's KILLING the game. You are not alone in wanting to uninstall/stop playing until this crap gets under control, and the majority of us are equally sick of it. BHVR has the tools/ability to perform ban-waves to punish DC'ers, and even has the data that tells them the difference between someone who DC's due to bugs vs. rage quitting ( https://youtu.be/_HMRs9HKrz0?t=2892 ), and they have done so in the past to great effect against DC'ers, but for some reason they have been holding back on it until they get the dedicated servers up.
This has lead to a disastrous amount of toxicity running wild because no one is getting penalized for ruining the game, and so, they are doing it En Masse. I am expecting the blood hunt event next week to go down as the worst Blood Hunt in the history of DbD unless a ban-wave hits before it. I also fear that by the time they get the dedicated servers up and ready for the player base, there won't be enough of a player base left! it's impossible for us to have fun in the game currently when every match has some toxic, over entitled brat DC and ruin the experience for everyone playing, and the Devs lack of action against these players does nothing but leave us feeling like our outrage and complaints are being purposely ignored.
I've been Pleading with the devs to get this crap under control for MONTHS, in multiple posts, and I'm not the only one, but they aren't planning to do anything about it until the dedicated servers are up, and that's just infuriating! They have the power to do it NOW, and if they did, it would restore our faith in them until the dedicated servers are running, but they won't... so why the hell even plan a blood hunt event knowing its going to be a disaster?

So, regarding your argument for Rage quitting...
Understandable? Yes.
Acceptable? No.
Harmful to the games health? Definitely!
You're defending the right for players to be toxic and ruin the game experience for others, and even worse, you're blaming the game for it. You realize that, right? That kind of mentality is juvenile, and infuriating to everyone who enjoys this game. If a player isn't enjoying the game, no one here is going to try to stop them from uninstalling it and leaving the community. Hell, some may even encourage them to do so because at least then we'd have one less toxic, over-entitled brat ruining it for the rest of us while mewling about it on the forums. It's posts like this that further illustrate the need for a less lenient penalty system for players who rage quit/DC habitually. I have NO sympathy or empathy for players who not only ruin the game experience for everyone, but also have the gall to try and defend their right to do it. To me, those people don't deserve to play this game, and the player-base would be better off without them.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The dedicated servers and disciplinary committee can't come soon enough.
-
It really hasn't been that quiet on these forums, and there are multiple posts about how frustrating its become, and how its killing the fun of the game. The devs know it's a problem, and are planning to do something about it when the Dedicated servers are up, but they still have the power to do something right now, and I'm hoping they do before the Blood Hunt next week.
Blood Hunts always have the effect of increasing the amount of players during the event, but considering how many players are DC'ing currently during normal traffic... I believe something needs to be done before the blood hunt to remind people that if they are going to ruin it for everyone, then they don't deserve to participate in the event.
Thank you for your support of this request.

Considering they'll want to see how the numbers do during the event I highly doubt that. I bet they don't do ban waves near events or new DLCs. Just a guess though
They "supposedly" did a Ban-wave a week before Spirit came out. Haven't done one since.

Awww... I love Feng Min! She's cute, has nifty cosmetics, and every time I strike her she squeals adorably... quite honestly my favorite victim in the game! David is a close second because his screams/cries of agony are hysterically funny, and he's easy to see.

EDIT: Updated the post to give a new way of being effective since cooldowns were changed
-
I managed to trap 3 survivors in the basement after they triggered EGC, and then just waited out the timer. Just waited and watched them all die as I intended. A salty survivor responded "imagine getting banned while playing PTB." and made declarations of recording the event and reporting me.
Sure its a mean tactic, but they really should've just left their friend to die instead of going into the basement during EGC. Can't get banned when the intention behind blocking the basement was to ensure they'd die when the timer ran out. I imagine more killers will be using basement builds when EGC goes live for this reason. :P
-
there was once a suggestion to have the loss of deep wounds timer stack for each consecutively hit survivor. So first survivor hit gets the status, 2nd survivor hit gets the status and loses 10 seconds on the timer, 3rd hit gets the status and loses 20 seconds, 4th survivor hit gets the status and loses 30 seconds, or in other words they are instantly downed. This idea not only encourages hitting multiple survivors with frenzy strikes, but the shaved time off of each consecutive survivor hit allows for better pressure on the last survivor hit, especially since the new changes.
The compensation/drawback of doing so was either to increase fatigue time .5-1 seconds for each survivor hit, or to increase the powers recharge time by 2 seconds for each survivor hit, that way it wouldn't be constantly abused, and would make choosing the activation time for it more tactical.
I think this idea needs to be reviewed by the devs since the deep wounds status is no longer a threat to survivors, which is forcing legion players to tunnel instead of spreading the damage, and this idea encourages frenzy attacking the team instead of just one survivor.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
The more I looked into them the more I found out they're not that bad honestly. You can get a free hit (almost) at first then m1 smack them with 115% MS. They also mentioned extending the timer so you can take your time to land your hit properly.
With the right perks they can be quite good.
Point of fact, since Deep wounds is so ridiculously non-threatening now, pretty much ALL of Legions add-on's, other than the cooldown ones, are just useless. Leveling up Legion is now just a massive waste of BP while trying to get the few good add-on's they have. Say what you want about it, defend it if you can, but at least when Freddy was nerfed into the ground the majority of his add-on's were still useful. There's no reason to strike twice with a frenzy attack since it gives the survivors a sprint burst while you are stunned for 4 seconds, and most of the new changes to the add-on's require you to frenzy strike twice in order to apply their effect. Legions power is useless, and the add-on's that are supposed to give it an edge are even more so.
I didn't want think it before, but after MANY PTB games testing the Legion changes out... To me, they are now indisputably the WORST killer.
-
would be cool if the floor cracks and embers had an eerie netherworld green glow to them instead of the red. Considering how fast games go once the EGC triggers, it's not like you're going to catch anyone anyway... Idk.
-
A Bit of a meme, but Franklin's Demise on Hag and Trapper is also great. All their traps need is a little bait, and FD gets you that. It's also funny as hell to jumpscare the crap out of them right after they pick up their item and knock it back out of their hands (I've actually destroyed flashlights this way). Hag is usually better with this tactic, but only because she has traps to spare.
-
@MasterUff said:
They really want to make him unplayable. Thats the only thing I can think about. Why else should they nerf him into the ground? Or they really have no clue about their own game. I think this possibility is even higher.
I don't think that's the case, and instead believe that Legion is just a very difficult killer to balance. You nerf a little and he becomes useless, you buff a little and he becomes OP. The way I see it, they are knocking down the whole jenga tower, and waiting for responses to help them rebuild it from the ground up 1 block at a time until its stable. So the excessive nerfs came with a re-building plan that they are planning to take one step at a time based on community feedback. Unfortunately this is a pretty vindictive community, and taking this plan of attack against a problematic character in the game has many fuming in response. As a standard M1 killer, Legion has that going for them now since they can almost keep up with the others, but right now their power is practically meaningless, and the feedback is reflecting that. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
