(it's the best way fyi) But keep thinking stalk is useful. Every game needs some people to try out ######### things, maybe theyll be useful sometimes.

Tru3talent: the guy who says stalking as Ghost Face is bad

Also Tru3talent: recklessly moves around in the open, trying to stalk a survivor that now already knows he's there

Ghost Face didn't become viable because a streamer plays him a certain way. Tru3 is truly bad at stalking with this killer. What he calls ineffective has given me easy 4Ks in short time, so he's not entirely in the right at all.

You do know Tier 1 Myers barely moves faster than a survivor (loses distance when turning corners due to bigger hit box) and he can't even blood lust in tier 1?

Like, running in a straight line is almost an infinite for tier 1 Myers. It will sure as hell take you a loooong time to catch up considering he only moves 5% faster than a survivor does.

    This. All of this.

  • Who within the balance team thought to themselves that EW1 Myers was too OP and couldn't be countered? Only except that he could be countered very easily by using your eyes and ears alone?

  • Spirit in general, every red rank Hillbilly, and Cannibals that camp rather than actually play the killer right.

  • Please don't tell me the "right" way is Tru3's "optimal" strategy.

  • @CakeDuty said:

Did you use an indoor map offering when playing Scratched Mirrors Myers? Cause I can't really recall any infinites on those maps and those maps are like made for Mirror Myers.

Even if they can see you're coming then you've still go full aura reading of where they're going and you can try to cut them off. If you use it on an outdoor map, then you're just asking for the game to fail. Mirror Myers only really work on indoor maps where survivors can't see you coming and if they run Spine Chill, then they will start running and then the smartest move for you is trying to cut them off.

I had multiple games with Mirror Myers yesterday (cause spoopy Halloween) and even survivors running Spine Chill I had no issue catching. It's all about playing it smart, you get all the information of where nearby survivors are, use it.

The relevance of this post should not be limited to if I was using an indoor map. No, I didnt, but the community's logic of "scratched mirror is only good indoors" is not something that should be conditioned into their playstyle with the killer.of course with indoor maps like Lery's, you are mostly always broken from LoS, but SM Myers is still capable on outdoor locations. I played on Coal Tower, which carries a decent amount of cover for my approach, but is open enough for the most observative survivors to tell where I could possibly come from. From the way they played, they for sure (and they did) have Spine Chill, and easily avoided me using the perk itself and the already existent hardcounter of simply paying attention to their surroundings through sight and sounds. I may have gotten a hit or two, but it was not enough lol. Tier 1 is practically a useless annoyance now that it's nothing but all downsides with no pros to support it (other than 0 TR) without its former unique ability. It's just not fun or great to use anymore.

Lmao are you serious right now? This is a tantrum. You're throwing a tantrum right now.

Are you only in this thread to insult the OP?

    It just doesn't work, period.

When survivors die you don't get tokens.

Been like this for the past two months (or whenever it was Stranger Things hit).

Which port? I get tokens on ps4

  • @Todgeweiht said:

Uh, i dont get it, tier I is now weak against 2 perks, whats the big deal? most of the time you will want to get out of it as soon as possible, stop overreacting

It's not about getting out of it, it's about actually wanting to use it.

  • @Bravo0413 said:

Myers was never actually "viable" at red ranks. T1 without a small map hes the weakest killer in the game, T2 hes a trapless trapper, which is better then a hatchetless huntress but is still very weak, with only a smaller terror radius to help him, T3.... again an increased lunge distance trapless trapper----> litterally... the only way myers t3 can work is if you bunch up, then he can snow ball.

The Shape's terror radius is pretty much his biggest gimmick, because unlike Trapper, he can get close enough while your guard is down.

  • @Mtom912 said:

Wow what potatoes are you versing if they use premonition every game

Everyone knows spine chill is the more referenced perk, and far better than premonition might I add. Pretty sure no one except for low ranks actually use premonition, but spine chill? W h o a this change was bad.

  • @Darkskies said:

Also I would just like to say that I get to bring all the stealth killers in line thingy they said but Micheal is so unique like I love how close he is to the movies and how he acts in the game.

I just wish they would of let him be him it's really not that hard to understand about his tier one in all honesty.

As a pig main I have gone through the changes understanding them but Micheal does not require this change.

Let him be unique! 💖🐖 Plz

Absolutely right with how he feels so true to the films, yet not anymore thanks to the change.

in high/purple ranks killers mainly play billy, spirit, huntress, and surprisingly ghost face at least from what i have seen. Stealth killers just are not that strong and the people who are playing ghost face dont stalk people they use the power for free hits. Since the update i haven't even seen someone use spine chill or premonition because the perk is only second rate.

That must be for your case, because I see spine chill 8/10 games I play as killer. It's as common as any other meta perk imo. Also Ghost Face in higher ranks should not be a surprise at all. Atm he's honestly the strongest and most viable stealth killer in the game

  • @GrootDude said:

No offense but this build was already hard countered by just paying attention.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

dude barely anyone uses spine chill or premonition in or past purple ranks myers is fine.

Press X to doubt. Premonition IS barely used though

  • The counter to scratched mirror (or tier 1 in general) was using your eyes and ears, distortion, loops because he can't bloodlust in tier 1, and sole Survivor. You can't get the jump on anyone anymore with his slowest, yet stealthiest starting tier thanks to spine chill. I'm still wondering why they decided to remove his immunity to spine chill and premonition, but I'm pretty sure it's due to complaints from players that don't bother looking around.

  • Just did a match as GhostFace, didn't camp at all and managed to get three easy simultaneous basement sacrifices. Second hook was someone far near the outside that I chased and downed, and the third I didn't even have to leave the shack because she ran into me while I had them 99'd. There's a difference between a basement camping killer and ignorant survivors that just stand around it.

The majority of the generators in this game do not have line of sight on an approaching killer before he is in melee range. Now if we bring our hearing within this, it’s okay to notice a GF is coming to you, but saying you can reveal him all the time while doing gens is just nonsense...

To have it make more sense, yes that is true it can be mostly difficult to break him on a gen, but I've mostly gotten GFs that don't really hide that much, but if they do I begin revealing him as I run off. Other cases they could be chasing someone else within my LoS on a gen, and I reveal him that way as well.

  • @PGJSF said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/795561#Comment_795561

So you can easily do gens inside jungle gyms and reveal him through the walls, to not get grabbed. Right?

######### “I’m revealing him every times” does even mean. Are you doing gens or not?

Of course I am. Am I not supposed to reveal him while actually doing the objective?

  • @PGJSF said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/794991#Comment_794991

Yes. I have a couple of friends who play survivor a lot and they always speak hate on Ghostface because of that. The main thing (to them) being that GF doesn’t have any drawback while using stealth. One of them is a Pig main so I understand his frustration.

Not siding with dcers or saying GF needs a nerf, but ”Every stealth killer in the game needs to sacrifice something to benefit from stealth, except Ghostface” is actually a pretty valid point.

The drawback for Ghostface is being spotted by survivors. Can't use his power if the survivors disable it. He is the only stealth killer in the game that actually has to conceal himself to gain the upper hand from survivors that must rely heavily on perception to beat him. I'm not gonna speak for the community, but when I play against a GF, I'm revealing him nearly every time. The only times I failed is when an experienced Ghost Face player is actually hiding too much of their body for me to reveal them.

Welp... I'ma die sad. I love that movie... Sucks they couldn't get it

imo, this is probably the creepiest Ghost Face ever. A home invader that stalks you for weeks and knows his away around your own home at all times, uses his killings to make a living during the day as a journalist. Not to forget he's a skilled killer at that too lol. Tbh I'm actually really glad they didn't get the Scream license, otherwise we would have never gotten this badass original Ghost Face interpretation.

  • Flip Flop is perfect as is, MoM just needs slight tweaks with protection registry, which is really the main issue with it, but I really love half of your Buckle Up ideas!

  • Survivors:

Dwight - My first main when I got this game.

Jeff: obviously the most OP survivor in the game. His perks fit my agrro, but altruistic playstyle.

Ash Williams: Do I have to say anything at all?

    Killers:

    - The Clown: imo top tier with his anti-loop potential don't @ me.

    - The Shape: a licensed killer whose power is so true to the character and having so many ways to play him, one of my absolute favorite killers in the game.

    - T H E Ghost Face (could have just been "The Ghost" for English only since in other languages it complicates with Spirit and Wraith): Pretty much plays like a stronger version of Michael, but requires much higher stealth plays to be so, which I really love. Probably the only viable stealth killer atm. Current main main

The Cannibal: love this guy, and I'm very certain I'm in the extremely small group of players who actually doesn't camp with this killer.

  • @Rin_is_my_waifu said:

I'm currently playing a lot of Ghostface until I reach red ranks and start using spirit again. For survivor, I always play Claudette

You shouldn't be afraid of using Ghost Face in red ranks. He plays fine there if played correctly.

I tried, and I got it when taking a hit a few seconds after a survivor was picked up

    Because BHVR

The biggest issue is that in one proc attempt, you'd only get one stack for that moment, so performing an insta-heal body block means nothing for MoM, because every hit after the first gives nothing. Did you know you can heal 99% and getting hit with active mom doesn't deplete it?

  • @VexTheHex said:

My main issue has always been Prayer Beads. If I am not running Spine Chill... I literally am a free down with no counter play anytime I touch a Gen or one of her totems. I will KOBE these matches typically once I am caught. There is literally 0 enjoyment about getting grabbed off gens by a invisible Killer and the player behind her is obviously wanting and seeking a easy mode 4K match.

Its also not fun when said invisible killer has an easy down power thanks to moving around aimlessly until they hit survivor collision, no matter how well you outplay her.

  • Spirit's collision when phasing is what gets me.

  • @Hoodied said:

Incorrect on the survivor being carried

Sometimes the game will give you protection 100, which is not considered a stack for MoM

There has never been a case for me where getting hit during a carry doesn't give a stack, unless you tried twice.

  • @LordGlint said:

Easiest way to get MoM to proc would be to build a time machine and travel back before the nerf. Getting that perk to work NOW is pretty unlikely, lol.

I've activated it at least 25 times post nerf thanks to this build, but that's if I'm fortunate to have time to run to the survivor that was downed.

  • All I'm looking forward to is the Halloween Collection on the 30th, and the Classic Ghost Face Collection on Nov 13th.

  • I don't know about a rework. I've actually mind-gamed survivors in loops that thought I gave up chase due to the heart beat being faint. A good thing about the perk is that you could chase someone, and they could run into another survivor that wouldn't be prepared for a suddenly very close killer. Let's not forget Myers gets the best out of this perk as he can just eliminate his terror radius by chasing someone, making a tier 3 with all 4 stacks scary.

  • @AhoyWolf said:

Maybe it can make your red stain shorter with every stack, one stack will reduce the range of your red stain by 25 %. At 4 stacks it will be completly invisible in a chase.

Would make Beast of Prey useless as it already is

  • @Gibberish said:

The problem with the perk is that you can't really make it too accessible or it becomes annoying for the Killer and as you know when it's current state if it's to inaccessible it becomes not worth it for the survivor.

Honestly it really just needs a rework at this stage

True. I have activated MoM many times after its nerf, and it can be very powerful once activated. It's just that registered protection scores and gaining perk charges in general can be difficult. By the time I've activated the perk, the other three survivors are already dead, so being able to somehow trigger it again is impossible.

  • @MysticAdvisor said:

So in short instead of the killer hitting you 3 times and then you being invincible the next hit.

Now (changed) you must earn 3 protection hits.

However, the protection hits can only be earned by (protecting a survivor from the killer) now unfortunately the game isn’t the best at detecting protection hits.

After 3 the previous effect occurs your immune for 1 hit, and then after healing your auras revealed,.

now what they said is the perk can now be triggered 2 times.

so you can now get 3 more protection hits to do it again.

I already know it's current state, and if that's the way to trigger it again, that's horrible. It's hard enough to even activate it the first time.

  • Have the mend action not pause the timer, but slow it down instead. The survivor will actually feel threatened by it as they need to mend before deep wound depletes and they get downed due to not mending sooner. The way mending pauses it now makes the status effect a joke and an annoyance rather than something to fear.

  • When I don't deal with the sweatiest hillbilly mains, yes.

  • The styptic agent I was always fine with, and that one could have honestly stayed, but yes, the syringe needed to be changed hard. Ending a very long chase with a survivor only to have said survivor get hit with a syringe, walking away no trouble is a huge waste of time on the killer and one of the most infuriating things to deal with. Sayonara OP med add-on!

  • @ItsYourBoyGuzma said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/745483#Comment_745483

Curious why did the team think that MOM should be able to get multiple uses when the players cant even get it to activate?

    lol

I've activated it many times. Taking hits while a survivor was being carried was the easiest way to gain charges, bail, repeat. The perk honestly asks for aggro altruistic plays.

  • So in short, tier 1 Myers is Ghostface, but can't bloodlust, is slower, and has no lunge. And this only applies if the survivors are using Prem/Spine Chill.

Michael in tier 1 being immune to anything related to killer detection, wether it was aura or directional, made him the most unique among others. Well that's gone lol.

  • I believe some of you guys are misunderstanding. Yes of course it's their way of taunting, it's just such an undeserving taunt given that they would have died without that instaheal. I'm never angered by them, in fact, I love wondering what's goin' through their heads after that no skill moment. After that, it's pretty much waiting for the survivors to finally leave because everyone seems to have a knack for not leaving right away when their win is an inch behind them, and the hunt for another game begins.

  • It's good to have it, but people really need to pull their heads out of their butts thinking it's related to Scream.

  • @AkiTheKitten said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/750429#Comment_750429

That's enough time for a killer to catch you. If they hit you, you just get BT effect so it's still a free hit in chase

Just like BT, killers can just chase you and wait 15 seconds

  • @martin27 said:

Spine chill doesn't allow you to see stealth killers it just gives you a heads up one is coming your way. You could still run right into the killer with spine chill because it doesn't highlight them or tell you which direction they're coming from.

I'm very surprised how many people don't know that spine chill doesn't work on this status effect. Michael in tier 1 is the best example considering the status effect is based off of his first tier.

One of my most favorite perks^^ Are you sure that Undetectable works on Spine Chill?

    Yes it does.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Personally, I am not a big fan of this. I think Spine Chill(or Alert) is a Perk which is not good enough to actually get nerfed by this. I mean, lets face it, the real problem is Object of Obsession. And instead of changing Object of Obsession, they came with such a mechanic.

I mean, I could not care less, since I am not using Spine Chill, but still, I feel that Perks do not need to be weaker, just because one Perk is the problematic one.

It's not just about object, it's about actually giving stealth killers "stealth". Any perks that allow you to see a killer whose whole mechanic is stealth makes that killer bad, especially for the pig because she's slower when doing so.

  • @TAG said:

Undetectable doesn't work on Spine Chill, IIRC.

Spine Chill is categorized as a detection perk. For example, tier 1 Michael is basically what the status effect even is before it was introduced, and you never see Spine Chill activate against him until he wasn't tier 1 anymore.
