  • I would agree, sometimes, you could be very unfortunate to receive hardly any skillchecks, so a skillcheck chance increase could help it quite a bit. 30% is pushing it though.

  • People should really look at the upsides of Ruin. After getting it so much each trial, it became useful practice to hit great skillchecks. I went from never hitting greats to hitting them almost every time thanks to Ruin.

    Devs "buff" Myers with Undetectable.

Just not a good year for our favorite slasher.

That undetectable "buff" hits different. That was a gut punch to favor people who don't bother looking around themselves.

    Ghostface and Myers.

A lot of people think Ghostface is godly because of the anti-heal build when that’s something any Killer can do.

For Myers, everyone just goes “OMG INSTADOWNS!!!!!!!!!” and thinks he’s godly but that’s all he has. If you can loop him for long enough, then he doesn’t get to use it. His instakill and perma tier 3 add-ons take a while to use and require a specific play style to work. They also aren’t super strong against Survivors who gen rush and constantly break LOS so they aren’t feeding Myers.

People thinking Ghost Face was only good because of the anti-heal build is another reason why I despise player mentality changing and conditioning. He is really good without it. If someone tells you a killer is bad in a certain way, given Ghost face's stalk ability in particular, that can easily mean they're simply bad at it lol.

Speak for yourself, MoM is easy to activate, so I'm completely down for this combo.

  • Hag is like Leatherface to me. I've never seen a Hag that doesn't face/hard proxy camp while unloading all of her traps around the hook.

Definately M1face. This joke of a killer is only praised because of Tru3talent, running a generic stall that any killer can benefit from.

Tru3talent only got praise for that ridiculous anti-heal build that definitely isn't original on a killer. Usually it's the power a killer has that makes them strong in the eyes of people. In this case, every killer is an m1 killer, but each have their own skills that are either difficult or not. Every stealth killer is basically an m1, but their lack of terror radius is the biggest part that differentiates them from 32m TR killers. Ghost Face I would say is probably one of the higher tier stealth killers if not the highest for how efficient his gameplay is stealth-wise compared to the likes of Pig or Wraith. No terror radius with 4.6m/s and instadown potential is pretty good for an m1 imo. Streamers shouldn't get praise for gameplay choices while the killers themselves were doing fine without them.

No, but that's because I'm constantly on edge until I know that it's not Michael Myers. Can't get scared if you're ready for it. Fool me twenty times, shame on me.

The magic of not knowing it's The Shape in the beginning of trial died with his EW1 stealth change.

  • I honestly thought the "Legion is the weakest killer" phrase was a meme until these posts started turning up more. Legion is pretty strong for a killer who is designed to injure as many Survivors as they possibly can. Given the right add-ons and perks, they're pretty powerful. I can never say I've not lost once as them before, but I will say that I have ended games quickly using them. These nerfs though are kinda whack. On the bright side, now you can dodge a STBFL stack loss with Frenzy.

Beast of Prey. They changed it to make you undetectable during Bloodlust.

Good lord, what would tier 3 Michael be like?

  • Tbh, the stealth killers are the only ones to bring the scare element to the table until they up the fear factor somehow.

Trapper can place Traps on problematic Windows. You wont be able to use the Myers House vs Trapper, since he can Trap the Rooftops (which he can also do with other Houses).

But I doubt that any Killer really benefits from Haddonfield.

Very good example of using Trapper on this map. Taken with what you say, I suppose it solely depends on the killer's playstyle and decisions. I don't really find the map troubling at all with killers in general.

I agree that infinite bottles is a bit much, but his reload really hurts him. Perhaps they could just shorten it.

Also, I was doing way better with Ghostface without stalking than I was with stalking. Do you actually get stalks consistently, and do you perform better with that than just hitting everyone and using Nurse's and stealth to down them?

Actually, yes. There are many trials where I wouldn't have gotten that easy victory without marking survivors. Ghost Face is a killer that survivors need to flex their map awareness for. It just really depends on the decisions of the player to choose a great stalk point to catch them off guard. Marking I've learned, seems to apply pressure as it can stress a player out to look for you while blindly running in a direction if you don't go for the mark and ambush strat. That way, they could most of the time hand you the easy down, given your distance and approach.

  • If clown had infinite bottles, that's drastic change for a killer, even with your followup of decreased hindrance effect.

Concerning Ghost Face, I can tell you watch tru3 if you think stalking isn't good.

and yeah, i do have an issue with supporting greedy low quality work, so i won't buy it, because i dont want to that to keep going, duh, but you do you

edit: omg just noticed your username. of course youre gonna get it. right

I'm talking about supporting the game in general which in-game purchases are for, and no, the name is a joke because it's dumb rawr xD. One way I would agree with the poor practices is being charged cells optionally for an alternate color on a default skin for survivors/killers.

What's more laughable is that you're picking on me for my decision of supporting the game, which keeps it going for everyone. If you don't like that kind of stuff, just don't buy it lol.

The serums are in the Free track so you don't need to pay to get them

I am personally holding all judgment on this until someone completes Tome 2, when someone shares how far they've gotten after completing both tomes then we can judge if the system to complete the Rift is too high or not.

The goal from what I can see is that you complete the Archives and get a boost through the Rift, then until the next Tome comes out you grind away normally. It's done this way so you don't get everything in the Rift too early.

I like The Rift but I won't be buying the next one unless it has things in there I like, most of the stuff in it right now is useless to me. This isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, it isn't oppressive, it rewards you with extra customization, and it spices things up in the game and shows you how often other players are playing. When I see the Auric Eye I know that player completed the first Tome, they play a lot and it gives players some extra spice in the matches with decorated hooks.

The Survivor charms though, I can barely notice them, some Survivor clothing covers them up and you can't see the charms other Survivors are wearing, it is purely for your own customization, kind of like the complete opposite of Killer cosmetics.

The serum being in the rift is what frustrated me imo. Because of placing an event reward currency in the rift, which needed more touch-ups, the event was delayed. The event as a result with the pustula offerings was the equivalent of WGLF, but on hooks and gens.

you are gripped by Stockholm Syndrome lol

"its way whiter and cleaner lol, totally worth your cash" they have you

are you in favour of the david king haircut where they literally just remove his hair and charge 400 cells too? xD bad practices, stand up against thme

Truth be told, it IS the classic mask after all, and they knew it's quite similar to the base mask, hence the lowered auric cell price on it. I only buy cosmetics I find interest in, so it's not like I'm spending on every single thing for every character. Plus, I like the classic mask more personally. Your David Cosmetic comparison is irrelevant, because what IF someone wanted a bald King? Plus, even without the hair, he's bruised up here and there. What people buy is on them, so don't tell me what I should or should not buy because of what you think.

  • @Shraar said:

The worst part is they charge money for a seperate mask... get this, the only thing different about it is that it's slightly whiter. lmao they're are DESPERATE for cash

It's the cheapest piece out of the skin, and to stay true to what the outfit is, it's way whiter and cleaner than the default as well as having a shiny design like the irl mask.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

The cloak covering the right of the screen I noticed immediately. Did not even realize all the other stuff.

I like this cosmetic a lot but the cloak blocking a quarter of the screen is kind of a big deal.

I also don't see much difference between the new mask and his base mask. Is it just more white? IDK I have p3 so I just got the body.

Compared to the default, it's a more of a pristine white, it's clean of any blood, and gives off a shine.

  • Sole Survivor is insanely powerful vs killers that use aura reading abilities. Without the tradeoff of only gaining use from dead survivors, it becomes too much imo. Deerstalker killers depend on their perk to find slugged survivors, and SS can make a killer avoid your location because of false information. I run SS if I tend to encounter many killers running Nurse's Calling. I've personally found an interest in pairing it with MoM to negate the negative effect of the perk to a degree.

  • While he does emit noise, that can't be depended on too much, so you really have to look hard for Ghost Face. If you want to stealth him behind an obstacle, but don't want to reveal him, make sure he is not too close to the center of the screen. When trying to reveal him, he needs to be centered with your camera without anything obscuring him, which even includes your own body.

  • Female survivors are almost meta choice, because they have much better crouch animations than male survivors. They can hide behind obstacles males can't even use, making them way more efficient at stealth potential.

  • Honestly tunneling is either if the killer is just plain brain dead and decides to chase the saved survivor rather than others, applying no pressure whatsoever, or it's a bad hook save.

true but In my opinion EGC should just activate when all gens are finished instead of opening the exit gate

    Actually, that's an incredible idea!

  • Clown is not even that bad. The people who misuse his bottles say this kind of stuff all the time. Clown can't be a "strategic killer" if players just waste every bottle at once with poor aiming even before the survivor runs them to a loop.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

well if it is a swf one player would just camp the exit to prevent it from getting regressed

That would also mean more pressure for the killer since that means at least 1 survivor is doing nothing but sitting by a gate. That would go poorly if the killer hooks all but that player in EGC.

  • Ghost Face for sure, but I hope not. He has a lot of counterplay to him, but people who sloppily attempt properly break his stealth or avoid revealing him if needed say otherwise.

All these threads about nerfing spirit, and I'm still sitting here angry about how they nerfed Michael EW1 vs. Spine Chill. Still to this day the most bs change.

  • So what you're basically implying is, make both of these killer's powers useless? Ghostface can already be countered by a couple things, and Michael was already recently nerfed stealth-wise. Your premise of instadowns with these killers just mean you are at fault for allowing them to do so. These two are the killers you need to keep yourself out of sight from. It's that simple.

  • @Mister_Holdout said:

I didn't realize it was so difficult to find Ruin.

On very few maps it can be tbf.

  • I'd consider current MoM an endgame perk at best, because that's the most often I can get it to activate. It's quite easy to activate you're a survivor who cares for the state of others. Despite protection hits being a little wonky, a few procs actually work fine. Blocking for a hook is sure to always gain MoM stacks, getting hit next to a dying survivor, or hit while attempting to unhook a survivor.

    HOW EACH KILLER PROVIDES PRESSURE

Trapper---strategic traps can create a surprise snowball

Wraith---He has stealth and speed, able to disappear at will allowing him to juggle.

Hillbilly---Instadowns create a passive pressure felt by all Survivors and he has high mobility to juggle

Nurse---I have no comment as I don't play her and rarely see her

Huntress---Long range Hatchet snipes but she can also juggle Survivors in a chase wounding several Survivors in quick succession.

    Hag---Teleportation

Doctor---can stall the game indefinitely by existing

Michael---1 minute of instadowns creates fear and can create a massive snowball

Leatherface---He has instadowns, grouping up is never a good idea if he's close which forces Survivors to split up. Leatherface can also snowball if he tricks Survivors into feeling safe to unhook.

Freddy---Teleports, naturally slows Gens, ability gives off Survivor locations, a good Freddy is a good juggler.

Amanda Piggy---Traps scare Survivors into not doing Gens and also punishes for them doing Gens. Her power stalls the game passively.

Spirit---High mobility juggling, incredibly hard to predict where she will be at all times.

Legion---instantly injure multiple Survivors and renders them incapacitated for 10 seconds, can be done multiple times, basically keeps everyone within an instadown state.

Plague---everyone is an instadown and they are very loud and sneaking is difficult in some areas. If he she gets her upgrade she can take down entire groups within seconds, basically a Myers with range.

Ghostface---stealth makes him completely unpredictable enabling him to juggle, can instadown groups of unaware Survivors.

Demogorgon---teleports around the map and his portals waste time to destroy, the very nature of the portals puts Survivors in a constant state of indecisiveness by choosing to destroy them or not destroy them.

Clown---can slow down Survivors and blur their vision at loops giving him an opportunity to shut them down and force a Survivor into a Dead Zone

Once I read up to Clown, I realize the blurriness survivors recieve is little to nothing, but the add-on that increases it should be basekit imo.

He can bloodlust people down way harder than clown, because clown has to reload. Freddy can spam snares until the sun comes up. And people are constantly falling asleep as Freddy. The only reason for them to wake up in the first place is if you are running slowdown add-ons, which already make him better than clown alone.

Freddy can use his snare spam to make so many pallet drops unsafe with bloodlust. Clown cannot do the same for more than a few seconds.

Freddy's snares are still situational depending if the area you're currently being looped at has any snares regardless. Clown on the other hand can slow a player immediately if he wants to, and doesn't require placing snares in circles over time. Compared to Freddy, Clown is the more pressuring killer in a chase, where Freddy most of the time has to build up as he goes with snares, or mindgame with dream pallets.

  • @Desolate_Sands said:

It's probably still spirit. Why have to run 2-3 perks for an anti-looping build when your power does it for you?

And I would say afterpiece tonic is only slightly better than snares. Snares you can spam at will, bottle reloading is long enough for a survivor to get to the next looping location. Snares can also be set up in advance. I don't have the numbers but I would say the snares also slowdown for much longer than the tonic without add-ons, even if you hit the bottle dead on.

And the tonic is the only thing clown has, where freddy can run a slowdown build and gets to teleport around. I have to work way harder with clown to 3-4k than most other killers. That's why nobody plays him.

From what I see, people kind of abuse the bottles by spamming them in the beginning of a chase rather than sparsely using them to close distance with one, and save the rest in case of upcoming loops. It's what makes him the "strategic" killer. If Freddy can't get his target asleep if they're awake, and he hasn't landed a hit on them, he's just a basic killer in a chase as well. Teleporting is in freddy's own right. It really just depends on the skill of the user lol.

Too many people idolize streamers. That's what's wrong with the gaming crowd these days.

Yeesh, tell me about it. I mean, I love the guy, but influences from them can tend to mess up what originally was. It's just like how everyone uses Claudette and Nea from watching No0b3 or Ochido, resulting in killer mains being afraid of players using those survivors.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Stalking all the time isn't the most effective way to play him. But for me, never stalking and never/rarely engaging in proper chases, which is what the anti-heal build is all about, isn't very fun for me. That's why I use STBFL/Enduring/BBQ/Ruin (or Corrupt) on Ghostface.

Build stacks, eat pallets (safe ones you can run around quicker if they leave it, unsafe you can start immediately playing when they're dropped), build stalk on the obsession when you can, instadown people who are stupid enough to be stalked later on (when you've created a few holes in their pallet defense).

The only issues are that you have to play around the obsession if they keep getting in your way, and Blood Lodge is basically a free survivor win if played optimally. But I have a lot of fun with this build. Man with Knife intensifies.

It never has to be all the time. When you have no opportunity to stalk, just go for a silent attack. If you have one, take advantage of a survivor's lack of awareness. What tru3 tells people though is that you should never stalk, although you're missing out on some easy downs.

  • @Toybasher said:

What is the Anti Heal build anyway? All I know is Nurse's Calling is very good on Ghostface since you often have no terror radius, making it very hard for survivors to do the "Don't heal in the TR" tactic to counter it.

    Sloppy Butcher

    Thanatophobia

    Nurse's Calling

    Ruin

  • Jokes aside, these would be a terrible addition to a horror game.

You realize Dead Rabbit Myers is slower than GhostFace, and much easier to see in the open. You see Myers once, you get in an area where you can see him coming and he's useless. GhostFace can sneak up on you even in a chase if the walls are high enough. He's also more difficult to see.

You mean, vanity mirror? I wasn't referring to that add-on at all. V. Mirror sucks lol

  • @Larisa said:

Vs experienced survivors you probably will be able to stalk only 1 or 2 people in the beginning of the match before they realize it's a ghostface. After they just won't let you. There are not a lot of unexpected angles and getting that angles undetected takes tons of time

Scream is a comedy after all

Playing with that mentality means you'd always be too afraid to use it after those 1 or 2 times. Some players even after knowing who you are aren't always gonna catch you stalking.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

well both strategies are good honestly sometimes it is better to stalk sometimes it is better to just go to the survivors and smack them it is up to the player to see which one is better and for tru3 the build he use is strong but tru3 is wrong when he say stalk is bad if one survivor work on gen I just go and hit him but if two survivors work on gen I stalk them but everyone have a different opinion so I don't judge if he think like that then good for him

Like I said, play how you want, and you think like a smart GF player. Great potential seeps within well thought out approaches.

What's the point of stalking someone and getting looped when you can pop in and out of stealth every 16 seconds? He's like Wraith on steroids.

  • @2Khours said:

at first i HATED ghostface, but once you decide to use his stealth instead of always trying to stalk, he's like a way better version of wraith and CAN be a inferior myers as well, take the right decisions and you'll destroy everyone

Looks like we got ourselves a Tru3talent believer. That whole shtick is not the only good way to play him, if you think stalking is bad when playing Ghost Face, maybe you haven't gotten the hang of the killer quite yet.

  • People who play both sides have the best experience out of anyone else in the game.

  • As a player who always uses Mettle of Man, I like this idea. Tbh, it's always the third hit I have trouble with, because the killer acts very weird from that point.

  • @ProvingKillersAreOP said:

Really? Your complaining about hatch grabs being taken away cause it's helping the survivor!? And the wanna take away advantages from killers? Let me stop you right there. Y'all have Noed which now is a crutch perk for killers who are bad at gen protecting, ruin which is more powerful now cause it's harder to find totems without everyone running small game or a map. And not only did they nerf medkits they nerfed the add-ons cause it's no point in having syringe if it the person I use it on is down and can't run cause killers usually pick them up and the purple medkits add on is only useful if you have no other option.

I reading up to when you said noed is a crutch perk. That is very unrelated.

Even before the nerf to MoM feral frenzy would never contribute to it. Hell for that reason any time I encountered an Ash I'd always make sure I hit them first with frenzy then attack them.

The moment you expose them they know you're there right? With anti-heal you can't be broken out, you don have to stalk and 99 them, they show their location through healing and looking at you, i mean it seems really obvious.

Well you're not trying to gen grab them after marking. Marking an unaware survivor that is darn well a great distance from you is a bad play on your part. Tru3's anti-heal build is just *one* way of playing Ghost, NOT the only way.
